This charming old pub is the perfect spot for a post-run drink. Just a short jog from the park, it offers a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The drinks menu features a great selection of local ales and craft beers, perfect for refueling after your run. Whether you’re in your running gear or just stopping by, the vibe is casual and friendly. Light bites and snacks are available if you need a little something to tide you over. A great spot to unwind and enjoy a well-earned pint.

A friend recommended this pub whilst I had a day off from work when working up in Liverpool. Good find ! Quiet comfortable pub, friendly barman, good tunes were playing quietly in the background. On the wall in the lounge, a great set of old black & white photographs of Liverpool scenes from recent decades. It was mid afternoon when I visited, on a Sunday. Not too busy, a few people came and went, several outside in the seating area. Be nice to go back. Cheers !

While I'll tolerate a dismissive member of bar staff as a one off normally (they may be having a bad day, it's allowed) this particular member of staff seemed to be going for gold. Minimally polite and somewhat abrupt. I'd let him off for a bad day if he hadn't made me ask for a top up on a pint that was a full inch below the rim. I haven't been here for a while, because the staff don't seem to care. Just reinforced my feeling. There for the passers-by and no attempt to create an atmosphere. For a pub supposedly known for its ales, stay for a swift half and move on, or just give it a miss for the many more welcoming pubs in the area who serve full pints without the passive aggressiveness!

Good beer selection, but the new service is terrible. New bar staff (girl with long blonde hair) is brash, gruff, and unfriendly. I’ve been going here for many years but with how she behaved towards our group on Wednesday night, we won’t be going back. She started aggressively putting all the chairs upside down and shouting us out at 11:15pm. Their business profile on google states 12 midnight closing time. So, who’s being misleading, I don’t know. But what I do know is, there’s no need to treat your clientele this badly, even if you managed to do so before in spoons without any protest.

Hidden away off Hope Street , it has a decent selection of ale and many worth a try (I went for a pint of 'Release the Pressure from Nightjar Bew Co - very nice!). Now, it is a small pub, I usually visit in the summer when the weather is a bit better and can sit outside, however if you do get a seat, it's extremely cosy, and the atmosphere is usually very relaxed. The Belvedere Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any holiday I take to this most beautiful of districts in Liverpool namely the Georgian Quarter . This is a wonderful looking pub, opened in 1836,this Grade II listed Victorian era pub looks amazing ,multi roomed ,an island style serving bar ,eclectic decor and furnishings and lots of seating options,it's a great pub to unwind in . We were here on a Thursday afternoon ,pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,we ordered Minstrel Brewery pale ale, served in pristine condition ,we chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. A big fan of this style of pale ale,a golden, light and hoppy brew bursting with taste and just so easy to drink,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a quality pale ale and sat with my twinny Stephen who is the best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Belvedere Pub we had a great time. The Belvedere Pub is easy to locate along Sugnall Street . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till midnight. A wonderful pub in a wonderful district of the city, highly recommended to seek out if you enjoy quality real ale's.

Called in while my son was in The Royal hospital. Asked for the small breakfast but no mushrooms or tomatoes. The owner was very pleasant but after he served my coffee (I did ask for a latte but an ordinary coffee came) he carried on chatting with a bloke sat at a table. Then he went off to the kitchen. A few minutes later my breakfast came. It looked as though most of it had been deep fried. It came with mushrooms which I didn’t want, no baked beans. The egg made me heave, dirty brown white and a broken yolk undercooked centre floating in the white albumen. Bacon was a crisp and the sausage cut in half and deep fried. The toast came just buttered in the middle. Would never eat there again. I took pictures but can’t post them on here. Apart from the bloke sat at a table I was the only customer.

Had a few beers here with friends and watched a football match that was competing with the karaoke. One of the punters saw himself as a bit of a singer . For karaoke to work you've got to be really bad, and be aware of that or really good. Sadly Alan was the worst type, not quite as good as he imagines himself to be. ...* Edit* ... Quick reply from Black Cat has helped jog my memory. Disregard the review above as I was mistaking the Black Cat for another bar in the City. I did have a few beers here late one night as, if I remember correctly, they were open later than the other bars. It was rammed. The service was good ,looks like they have a few good events in the week.
