Visited the bell for the steak night. Fabulous service. No long waiting times for food. Good choice of food available other than steak. We both ordered fillet steaks, this was cooked to perfection. Good quality food and service. Thanks to all the team at the Bell Inn.

Lovely lady behind the bar, lovely feel to the pub but unfortunately it ends there. We waited over an hour for the fattiest and poor quality steaks we have ever had, the chef (the landlord) didn’t bother to come out to discuss the terrible cuts of meat which I literally couldn’t cut with a steak knife due to the never ending fat. We were given a 20% discount but we will not be returning, we literally piled high the fatty meat and had. Nothing left that was edible - such a shame 😞

My wife and I had dinner here as we were staying nearby and found it on the app. It was a Thursday evening and the pub was really quiet which seemed strange as the food was so good! We both had Hunter’s Chicken and it was awesome. Large plates with very well cooked food. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were great. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area

We booked online and arrived at 1pm. The Sunday roast was amazing. I can only eat a small amount so was extremely pleased that they offered a small plate. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be booking again. Very good value for money.

We booked online and specifically stated that one of our party (my daughter) was a coeliac and so could have nothing with gluten in. It also stated on the website that on the children’s menu there were mac’n’cheese bites, which my granddaughter wanted. We ordered our meals only to be told that weren’t any bites on the menu. My daughter was offered a gluten free mushroom pie. When it arrived she said that it wasn’t mushroom but chicken. We told the person who took the order and she went back to the chef to double check and was told that it was in fact chicken and not gluten free. So it was sent back to the kitchen and my daughter was offered the mushroom pie with mashed potatoes . Eventually the pie arrived after most of us had almost finished. When she went to pay my daughter wasn’t even offered any recompense for the almost fatal service. Not recommended.

Having been to this establishment a number of times, which used to have amazing staff, todays visit was an eye opener. The food was, as always amazing, although the broccoli didn’t go near a steamer or a pan of boiling water. I went back to the carvery for one potato and a Yorkshire pudding and was told “it’s not a bottomless carvery “ with a death stare directly at me. Another diner asked if she could have another Yorkshire pudding and she was told “no, not really” yet, he was eating food with his fingers and wiping his fingers on his apron afterwards, no hand washing in between!! If the dishes of food were topped up properly, I wouldn’t have felt the need to visit the carvery station again. Being a new landlord, you seriously need customer skills training. I expect Marlborough threw a huge party when you left. Very rude and arrogant. I won’t be spending my next £70.00 for a family meal and drinks with you.

We stayed at The Anchor Inn for 1 night. Our room was lovely, very comfortable. Felt very home from home. Had everything we needed for a cosy evening. Ate in the bar on the evening. Food was delicious. Especially the crumble. Breakfast the following morning was lovely. All the staff were very friendly. Would definately visit this beautiful little place again.

WOW, we had the most amazing Sunday lunch. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball, peas, carrots, French beans, roast parsnips, cabbage, cauliflower cheese & not forgetting the amazing crispy roast potatoes and lashings of thick gravy. The meat, Yorkshire pudding & stuffing came on the plate, followed by a dish of 8 roasters and another dish with the 6 vegetables in & a big jug of gravy. I dont think anyone would be able to eat everything. The servings are huge. Everything is freshly cooked, served piping hot, it was just amazing. We ate as much as we could, but there was easily enough for another 3 or 4 servings. The landlord suggested taking it home with us, but we didn't. After a rest, we ordered apple crumble & custard. Again, the portion was huge. We could have shared 1, and it would have been enough. It's a shame we don't live here because we would be regulars.

This is definitely the best place to eat in Westward Ho ! Amazing carvery with lots of lovely fresh vegetables. Good choice of other meals on the menu and a very impressive dessert trolly. Good service, clean, comfortable and very friendly.

Excellent fish and chips. Plus, a pint in the pub across the lane while you wait for your order. Pub belongs to the same people. Eat food in the bar. All decorated for Halloween.

Food was excellent great atmosphere and far too much for us to finish but I tried. My youngest said it’s the best meal she’s ever had ( better not tell the wife).
