Real locals pub. By which I mean that upon entering, my wife and I received baleful, slightly hostile stares from the regulars round the bar. The barman didn't look up for 5 minutes while he served another customer. I had thought that being in the heart of Kent, there would be a plentiful selection of local Kentish ales on tap. No. Just Doom Bar (Cornwall) and several international lagers. Not a good pub.

Haven’t been here in 15 years, still a really nice pub. Welcomed when walked in, good selection of beers, open fire, nice atmosphere, lots of seating and clean

Nice little pub. Only had one drink, so can't really comment, but it was pleasant and clean.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Live music most weekends. Also keep an eye on the fish & chip van that regularly visits.

Just a good experience with the locals.

I was at a wedding reception. It was lovely & the staff were absolutely brilliant. Would definitely recommend for any celebration or even a quick quiet one on the way home

Had great evening in here whilst visiting a friend in Shepherdswell. Locals and staff made us feel very welcome and it was karaoke night!

This pub nestles in the Kent countryside peaceful and remote but in reality less than 20 minutes from either Canterbury or Dover. Great staff with a warm welcome for old and new customers plus a selection of drinks and even live music in the beautiful secluded garden.

Quaint little pub nice atmosphere with original decor theme, burger night on a Friday would visit again.

Friday night .had a really good night good beer well done to all of the staff

Popped in as my sister has moved here. As its only garden service I didnt see the inside but its location next to a small green and from the outside looks good. Good size garden and car park. Food was limited to a cornish pastie, cheese and biscuits etc. This came in a paper bag which I think is a great idea. I had a steak pastie which was tasty and had quality ingredients, home made. Staff very attentive and chatty. Ill be back this week.

I haven't been for years after a previous visit put me off. The atmosphere was great, the lady behind the bar was friendly. We have a lovely village pub again - well worth popping in for a visit.

Great beer but check opening hours and no food although we bought sandwiches from the Coop down the road and eat them in the garden.

Accogliente il locale, gentilissimo lo staff. Il parco bel curato davanti dona quiete e tranquillità. Un ottimo posto dove sorseggiare una birra nel tempore primaverile!

The Bell Inn is a handy place to stop to warm up by the open fire, have a coffee or a beer and it's only a ten minute walk to the train station. Hopefully more alcohol free beer will be added soon!

What a difference a year makes. A new Landlady has turned this pub around. A wonderfully friendly atmosphere and open at the correct times.
