Excellent service from Lucy. Great cream tea with generous portions of jam and cream together with warm, light scones. Very dog friendly and one of our favourite places to visit when we are in Lyme Regis. Well worth a visit, as they also offer a wide range of options and have gluten free cake!

3 family arrived for lunch. Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Two of you can sit over there, the other can sit over there. Then table came free. Asked to wait outside (in poor weather) whilst staff cleared table. Went outside as asked, and unsurprisingly decided to go and eat elsewhere.

Lovely friendly staff, returning visit as visiting with family for a weekend away. I had Welsh rabbit last time I visited which was delicious, looking forward having it again. Disappointed to see it was not on the menu, mentioned to Conor our waiter and he said leave it with me, back a few minutes later certainly we can make that for you no problem. Thank you to Jayne (superstar) it did not disappoint it was scrumptious, time to reinstate it to the menu!! We will all be back, the cream and cheese teas were also I’m told delicious. Many thanks

Delightful tea spot. Cute place, extremely nice staff with excellent service, clean, & above all, terrific Dorset tea. We had the scone & cucumber sandwich on wheat bread: fresh, excellent scones, heap of clotted cream (1st) & strawberry jam (2nd), & good tea selection. Just the spot to take a break amid the hustle & bustle of Lyme Regis.

Soft drink and hot chocolate were fine but my complaint is about the toilets. Absolutely filthy. You need a rota system in place to clean them. Poo in the bowl, and under the rim. Paper towels for hands left behind loo. Faecal matter travels in air when loo is flushed. I appreciate it is the public that may dirty them but they must be cleaned. I will never visit again. You should be ashamed.

We visited this cafe/restaurant on Friday 22nd September as there was little else available for lunch. We ate on the lower level. The food was relatively quick and good. Our only gripe was the fact they let dogs into the place. I like dogs, but not where food is concerned. There was a table nearby where a couple sat with a dog. The waitress whilst taking their order "petted" the dag, surely this is a breech of hygiene, I would like to bet she never washed her hands when she left their table! Once the couple had finished their meal, they got up from their table and as the dog got up to leave there was dog hairs flying everywhere! I'm sorry, but this is not hygenic when people are sat eating food! Very disappointed.

Stopped here planning to just have a cup of tea but instead got tempted into a cream tea and a cheese tea. Both were lovely, £8 for 2 scones, jam and cream and pot of tea, £8.50 for 2 savoury cheese and chive scones with cheese wedge and chutney and a pot of tea. Food was lovely, tea was good, staff were really friendly and welcoming. Had a sneaky look at other people's larger meals (fish and chips etc) and they looked good. Definitely would go again.

Sunday lunch was not very good. Waiter ate food and drank at the bar constantly. Emptied bins and didn't wash his hands. Chef sat at the bar in between orders. Food arrived and was tasteless, meat tough and when asked for cranberry sauce the waiter arrived with a plastic tub to serve it!

Excellent food, friendly staff, always willing to go the extra mile. This is one of the happiest places I know to have breakfast, lunch or just gorgeous cake

A small hidden Cafe hidden down a side alleyway, delivers a big smile through it's food and warm welcoming hosts. They make delicious salads, homemade crustless quiche, large saucer style macaroons, homemade sausage rolls and vege rolls. It's the only place in Dorchester that i feel the food is good for you, cooked on the spot there that day, great coffee and choice of tea's etc. Seating is limited and very sadly due to it's size of premises maybe closed due to Covid, please double check. They have worked so hard and deserve all our support

Very friendly village pub with good quality, reasonably priced food. Delicious homemade biscuits/chocolates with coffee. Welcome dogs even when wet. Highly recommend.
