Popped in last week, first time I have ever been here but it certainly won’t be the last. Bright, very clean and super cheerful and the new owners are a real delight. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Recommended, give them a try.

Went here recently when meeting up with family. We had tea and coffee which were very nice. We had cherry scones with butter and jam. They were warmed up and were lovely. The tables are far enough apart where you don't feel that the people on the next table are part of your group. Cafe was also clean and tidy. Prices are very good and certainly very good value. Be warned however, closed on Monday.

Been many times and always excellent, yesterday I had a ham salad sandwich as a takeaway and have to say it was a truly wonderful sandwich, the bread was stunning. Many thanks

I have been here many times, because it's an ideal location and actually a very nice little cafe, good food....coffee etc, but sadly the staff really let the place down. Absolutely no personality, not at all welcoming , no smiles and as if they really don't want to be there, such a let down.

This really is a lovely coffee shop. Wanting somewhere nice to take my elderly Mother and her friend, we decided to try Courtney's. Beautifully laid out, with lots of cakes and treats to tempt you, be it breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea, this gorgeous coffee shop is set in the very pretty Old Town of Bexhill. It's atmosphere is warm, cosy and the owner/staff welcoming. The portions generous, so you wont leave feeling hungry. The walls are adorned with local artist pictures for sale and with free parking across the road, this really is a nice spot to visit. My choice was deemed a success and they can't wait to return.

There are so many franchised coffee shops now which are cold and over priced so it was lovely to find somewhere different in Bexhill Old Town; a real traditional coffee shop which serves homemade cakes. There is also a lunch menu but my husband and I visited with friends for coffee. Being ceoliac I welcomed the choice of gluten free cakes & the lemon drizzle was superb. Nice friendly feel and although we arrived at 10 am we were still chatting at midday but never felt rushed lovely to find somewhere new, reasonably priced and friendly staff-planning to come again for lunch

We both enjoyed the coffee and the biscuit that came with it, however the fruit scone my mum had was so dry it crumbled into pieces, I can see why they give you three packs of butter. The coffee and walnut cake I had was not good. The icing tasted of really sweet butter and not coffee, whilst the cake tasted only of flour- not sure where the coffee flavour went? Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Just visited Courtney's in Bexhill Old Town for afternoon tea, absolutely delicious all home made cakes etc, lovely presentation and no blaring music so you could have a good natter without shouting. Also the proprietor will cater for coeliacs and gluten free clients.would thoroughly recommend it even if you just want a cuppa.

Just tried Courtney's which is the name of the new cafe in the old Bell hotel in the old town, we all had the quiche and was probably the tastiest ( other than the wife's of course) I've had. Can recommend. The opening hours have changed along with the new owners, open 7 days a week. Just seen the sausage rolls come out, that's going to be next to try, look gorgeous!

In the old Bell Hotel, this cafe has a lovely feel with great decor. A warm and inviting place which only opened a few weeks ago. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10.00 till 18.00. Pity it is not open in the evenings for food, since there are no restaurants in the area. Good service along good coffee, cakes and sandwiches. It is licensed to sell beer and wine. Good to have some subdued background music. Hope they do well.

Late lunch, early dinner. Roast was excellent with crispy roast potatoes, large Yorkshires and a delicious selection of veg. Real gravy on the side. Warm Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and cream was delicious. 🤤 Busy so staff were pushed but they were friendly and helpful. Recommended

My husband and I ate here twice in the space of a few days. Service was friendly and welcoming both times. On the first visit, our nachos and egg on toast were very nice. There’s a large variety of milkshakes to choose from - our White Twix and Bubblegum choices were amazing! Would love to try the iced cinnamon roll flavour. As we’d seen good reviews online, we booked a vegetarian afternoon tea. This consisted of sandwiches, quiche, mini cakes, scones and a surprise mini cheesecake towards the end. All of the sandwiches were served on seeded bread, which was an issue as I don’t eat this. Usually with afternoon tea, sandwiches come on at least two varieties of bread e.g white bread and seeded bread, so there’s something for everyone. I feel that when we booked the afternoon tea, the coffee shop should have informed us they usually make the sandwiches on seeded bread, or asked for our bread preference. With hindsight, I will specify with future afternoon teas which bread I would like to avoid this happening. They did kindly prepare additional sandwiches for me on white bread, at an extra cost. The food all tasted lovely and was very good value for money at £11 per person - we took the cakes away with us as were too full to eat everything we were presented with!

Lovely country Pub, hard to comment on the atmosphere as it was a cold wet afternoon so pretty quiet but we were looked after. Food was lovely and fresh, will be going back in Spring definitely.
