Typical British pub at its best. Very warm atmosphere and a good choice of beer. We were really happy to had the chance to visit the pub.

It is a classic British pub, just around the corner for locals, and for foreign people, this place is a picturesque bar with a neighborhood feel. I always try to order draft and dark beers... and I was not disappointed!

Popped in last Friday afternoon with my 6 year old daughter and were made very welcome by the girl behind the bar (think her name was Kym ...apologies if I have that wrong). The Beehive has been my favourite for many years and it's so nice that they are so accommodating and giving my daughter a great first experience of a proper local (my daughter enjoyed coming up with a new outfit for the pub's mannequin 'Maxine'!). The summer beer from Worthing I tried was very good too!

Return visit to the Beehive for a pint following the re-opening of pubs. Nice to see the Hive is doing it right. Temperature checked on the way in (not many pubs in Swindon doing that, well done Andy), signed in, hand sanitized, sat down, mask off to consume excellent beer via table service. Plenty of instructions on how to approach the (hopefully temporary) visiting of the pub. The staff in the Hive have got it sussed (shout out to Jason) and while numbers are restricted it is still one of the best pubs in Swindon to visit. Some people don't want to sign in or get checked. To those selfish oafs I say "Fair enough, stay at home. Let the rest of us enjoy ourselves." It is not an ideal situation but we all have to do our best.

This was the final scheduled stop on the Cheltenham CAMRA ale amble around Swindon - a real old fashioned pub tucked away in a residential area of the town. They offer a very good range of real ales, served with a friendly smile, so it’s well worth seeking out.

Now I know it exists I won’t hesitate to visit again. If I lived closer it would definitely become my local.

I've been going in here for my fix of fine ales, music and people for decades. First and foremost, it's a friendly place that welcomes all sorts of interesting folk - artists, musicians, philosophers, poets, cricketers, beer fans, anyone and everyone. The decor and layout has been described as quirky and eccentric. Step inside and you'll find a treasured painting of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart, a smartly dressed showroom dummy called Maxine sat in the main bar, jazzy murals, art exhibits and a giant Christmas tree pinned to the roof during the festive season. The layout of the pub itself features three small areas within it's triangular shape and (allegedly) is positioned above the convergence of ancient Ley Lines. In other words, it's not your average boozer that never fails to surprise. Especially so yesterday when I finally tried one of their pies. Blimey, why did I leave it so long! Big juicy gourmet pie served with lovely mash and gravy and a lovely guest ale on the side. Hearty and very tasty. It's the only food they do, but frankly, who needs anything else? If you're looking for great ales, music, arts, culture and creativity, and a bit of comfort food to go with it, the Beehive - and their pies - should be top of your list.

Dropped in to try the beers on a Friday. Six nice ales. As we enter we are offered a garland of red flowers. Handed back when we left! Six third pints to sample and very nice too. The folky band was just starting as we left to eat. Great place.

We wanted to take a moment to thank the delightful young man who served us tonight (14 Sep) at table 1 around 6pm. We were three ladies. He very graciously brought three strawberries to one of us who couldn't have desserts. His thoughtfulness really touched us. You have a great staff!

We popped into The Beehive for a pint or two before going for a lunch locally. We don't live locally but call in every time we're in Swindon. An absolute Gem of a pub with a terrific range of well kept real ales. Their own brand Two Bees is a superb easy drinking session beer that I personally really enjoy. And the local cat that has become a regular is a real character. A very special little pub ! Thank you.

I go the the Beehive Pub in Old Town Swindon most Monday nights. They play Poker every Monday, starting at 20:00. Every 2 weeks on Monday's, they have a music group playing. The Pub is very popular with the locals. They serve a good selection of beers and the pies are very good and reasonably priced. They also have a number of events at various times

This used to be one of our favourite pubs with its live music & good atmosphere. But on our last visit the beer we chose was presented cloudy & did not taste right, and at £4.10 per pint it ought to be good! When we asked at the bar we were told that it was ok, and they would not change the beer. Will have to spend more time in the Hop & Glue Pot!

The Beehive is an anomaly among town centre pubs. While many are now closing, it has grown in strength and popularity on the basis of its wide selection of draught beers.

Booked a table for 2, but changed this various times as the birthday celebrations grew. This was no problem for the landlord & landlady. Service was great and the food was delicious. 2 of us stayed the night. Rooms clean and super-king size bed comfortable. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely go back. Felt very welcome. 5 *****

Clearly wanted to shut early so left door open on freezing cold day to bring in tables/chairs from outside. Asked them to close it but refused to do so until they’d finished. Won’t be returning.

Great little pub tucked away in a village but quite near the M4 junction for easy access. Parking was available. Enjoyed Sunday roasts with trimmings, tasty desserts, and very friendly service. Will be back for sure!

In the heart of Swindon Old Town, Dotty's is a charming breakfast café. The best item on their menu is the "make it yourself" breakfast where you pick your items. Lovely atmosphere, with wooden tables - feels like an old fashioned café! Polite and smiley staff.
