The bar manager (old woman with white hair) is a miserable person who doesn’t like young woman in the bar, even the other staff members don’t like her! She was going to serve us then told us to leave as we are apparently to loud! Even the other bar staff said we had did nothing wrong! Honestly jealous miserable old woman!

Was canny, not a place I would normally go to but was decent enough.

The only reason I knocked a star off was due to the amount of choice on the treble offer. Staff where fantastic it was really busy not too much if a seating area but this cannot be helped because of the shape and size of pub.

Great meeting place because of its location, and it's a popular well-known bar, so you will have no problem getting directions. Proper old style pub with great friendly atmosphere and staff.

Great little pub in the heart of Newcastle that served a great pint of Guinness. The barmaid was so nice and when she found out we were visiting from Ireland she made little shamrocks in our Guinness. The bar had a buzzing atmosphere but still very much friendly and welcoming vibe. Will be back again next time.

Went to the Beehive for the first time in 32 years due to working abroad. Loved every minute great friendly atmosphere never changed. Can't wait to go back.

Beautifully inexpensive alcohol served by classy knowledgeable staff, the locals were great craic and made us feel really welcome, the best bar I've been to in years, great for an early pint 🍺💥

Went to the Beehive a few times in early 2000s but then only went back in again June 2023. Very good atmosphere and exceptional prices for pints. The only let down is the gents toilets, would presume ladies is the same. I was on my own so had to take pint in there so it wouldn't get collected or pinched but nowhere to set it down in the cubicle and floors were awash with pee and water hence wet feet. Small floor area but they could extend loos outwards to the area in front of the loo doors and thus would increase floor area as that area not used too much anyway. You need a shelf or two and a mirror. Get it modernised, we are in 2023 not the Victorian era!!! Also woul be better for staff hygiene.

While we like the Beehive great prices and great atmosphere. But in there yesterday 1.5.23. It’s starting to smell a bit off definitely needs a good clean out, before the weather gets warmer.

Only been going to the Beehive for 40 plus years. Place to be for vertical drinking, can't fault it.

Decent beer good price. Bar staff good craic polite only thing letting place down was toilets.
