Have been a few times now and had a phenomenal meal each time! Great choice of burgers, and love that you can choose your patty style. So many of love to try but I keep coming back to the Blue Boy as my fave! I will should out Bacon Boy, Dirty Boy, Pastrami Boy and Chicken Boy. All firm faves of me and my partner. Bacon Fries and Poutine Fries can easily be shared between 2, don’t over order like we did on our first occasion!! Millionaire fries for the win too! Great that soft drinks are refillable, and a nice selection of cocktails too. Will be back with bells on! 🤤

We are here, over the bank holiday weekend, and the food was absolutely delicious. The place was busy, but we we're served really quickly, by very helpful staff. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Well done 😃

I was put off your place for ages as we had really poor experience when you first opened. Service so poor we thought we would never return. But recently we have been invited by friends and been in and had take out few times and the service does not compare to first experience. Everyone is friendly and nice and service prompt. Keep it up! Small improvement, please expand/improve your veggie range (burgers) so we can eat with our veggie friends.

One of the best milkshakes I've had, but unfortunately, the burger was a disappointment. The bottom bun was almost mush due to an abundance of dirty mayo / grease. The patties I had contained a fair bit of gristle, so I only ate half. The chicken tenders and fries were just average. The restaurant atmosphere and staff were great though, just the food didn't live up to the hype or come anywhere near really.

Amazing burger. Probably the best burger I've ever had. Although the cheesy fries could come melted. Cold cheddar on chips isn't the one.

Great menu with plenty of options on how to have your burger patties. Good portion, although for the prices you pay, you would expect a good portion. Option is there to double or triple up but there really is no need. Great flavours, plenty of seating, refillable soda option as well as exciting milkshake options. Only negative is price. Burger fries and drink you're looking at 20-30 per head. You could share a portion of fries between 2 people however. Staff were good also. Look forward to my next visit.

Visited Beefy boys in Shrewsbury on a recent trip to the UK 17.04.2025. I don't think there is anything more to say or add about the quality of their burgers as they are simply the best out there! What I would like to add is the excellent customer service we received. I called ahead to mention that on the day of our visit it will be our wedding anniversary and if something could be arranged to mark the day. We were treated to a very special cocktail with two straws compliments of the BB! Our guy who looked after us was extremely patient and explained the menu options to us so our order was spot on. A personal thanks to Claire for taking my request and to Ash who was a star player and looked after us on the day. Nice one guys and keep up the great work :-)

Sensational burger with a great selection of sides, friendly staff

I ordered the award winning Beefy Boy and wasnt disappointed at all, it was incredible, before ordering I couldn't decide between the Beefy Boy & Oklahoma Onion Boy, so after the amazing Beefy Boy, decided to order the Oklahoma Onion Boy too, a very nice burger too, but the Beefy Boy was something else. I went for my birthday and had a free drink which was a nice touch. The best place to go for burgers, no wonder it's won awards, I've been wanting to go for a while now and I can't wait to go again!!!

Absolutely unreal! Literally the nicest chicken burger I’ve ever eaten! It was also the first time I’ve been aware of how soft a burger bun can be! Really well priced too!

Second time here. Food was fine, service was quick & attentive. Tables were a bit packed in elbow to elbow which we didn't like. Room was cold. Don't like the auto service charge add on but I paid it. Checked bill & I'd been incorrectly charged an additional Swiss cheese topping which they amended. But I'd also been charged 75p for a thick patty? I had just the usual 6oz one. When I queried it I was told Oh, yes that's right. I still don't understand it & I've checked the website again - you either choose the 6oz patty or 2 x 3oz smashed as I understand it. So, check your bill is my advice cause it's expensive enough.

I have been to the Hereford restaurant for a business lunch and it was so brilliant I booked and drove from our home near Bournemouth with my wife for a weekend treat . Everything was perfect The food amazing and the best burger ever and the service relaxed and attentive Definitely be back soon to work our way through the brilliant burger menu ..thanks for a great meal

Came to beefy boys Shrewsbury yesterday with some friends. We were sat near the front of the restaurant, and i’m pretty sure our server was called Lacey. She was absolutely lovely and so knowledgeable about all the burgers, her recommendations were spot on! The food was very good, especially the bacon fries, will defo be coming again!

I ate at the Shrewsbury restaurant on Saturday evening (15/03). This was my second visit, the food and the service was top notch. As you would expect there was a lot of meat on the menu, but imagine my surprise when even my drink came with bacon! 🥓😁

I’ve been wanting to come here for ages, and made a detour through Shrewsbury specially. The restaurant looks fantastic, and the service is brilliant, but I was disappointed with the food. The burgers were overcooked to the point of being tough - really not what I expected with a thick patty. The loaded fries were also a bit disappointing with seemingly little chilli and more mustard than anything else. The actual fries were nice and crunchy though. I will come back at some point, as I expect it was an off day in the kitchen, but their at home burger kit was far better.

I had been looking forward to visiting The Beefy Boys in Shrewsbury for sometime and I certainly wasn't disappointed, my wife booked it for my birthday, the food and service were A1 The decor was very good It was a toss up between The Beefy Boy burger or the Dirty boy, the latter one l won out in the end on our waitresses recommendation, along with some Ninja chicken tenders and Pastrami fries All of our food was beautifully presented, it seemed a shame to tuck into it.!!!! Thanks to all the Guys and Girls who made my birthday a memorable one

Went here as someone who I was with was very keen. I was worried having been to the Hereford one previously and had some terrible service. This time the service was much better. Liam served us and was helpful with dietary needs. Also felt welcomed and not rushed. Chips still far too salty and the salad size was terrible. Burgers were good which is great given the purpose. Rest of the food needs to catch up.

Excellent food, one of the best burgers I've ever had, great service, food arrived within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The ice cream sundaes are also just as good as the burgers! I can see why this place is so popular, keep up the amazing work!

Well what can I say this place is amazing the food is absolutely amazing. If you come to Shrewsbury and don't come here for lunch or tea you've missed out. Thank you your business is way above the rest and your all doing an amazing job. Best burgers ever!!!! 73 years old & never tasted anything so good. Beefy boys sauce takes them to a new level. Eaten burgers in USA, Aussie & NZ....but none as good as these. Do not miss a chance to try them.

First time visit and was not disappointed. We had not booked but a table was made available quickly. Service was also quick along with the food arriving. The burger I had, Beefy Boy, was one of the best ever, succulent,meaty, delicious and cooked to perfection. The cheese skirt I asked for was something else. I was not sure what to expect but it was like a skirt over the burger and tasted great. Friendly, helpful staff, good food and service, what's not to like. Will return. Thanks

We were served by Lewis who was a superstar! It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. Would definitely recommend. We did the sharing platter special between 3 of us (was meant for 2 ppl) and we had leftovers which we took with us!

Our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering but was flat cold. Staff were lovely but wouldn’t go back. Very expensive for cold food.

I've been twice and both visits were quite underwhelming. There is a good variety of burger options available and the burgers are generally tasty, however it is a bit pricey for what you get - especially the fries. £4.80 for a small portion of OK chips is steep, and the bacon fries weren't much to shout about either, especially as the streaky bacon was dry and tough. The service was quick and most of the staff were friendly. The restaurant seemed quite busy for a Thursday night but we weren't rushed or anything, so that was good. The 'super hot' Hell Boy burger was pretty spicy, though the latex gloves and waiver form were a bit OTT. Sadly the spiciness came primarily from a sauce very similar Tabasco, so it mostly tasted of vinegar. Not awful, but one-dimensional. I would go again if I was invited there, but I prefer other options in Shrewsbury.

Okay. Overall it was okay. Food was nice enough, decent quality not too fatty meat, all kinds of weird sauces on it and for some reason a "wet bun"... Fries were similar to the ones you get from a supermarket. Generally the staff members were okay. The desk person kept disappearing and suddenly we told our table was ready. For a first time customer, the menus appeared to be made for children with lots of cartoon-like pictures and descriptions of very similar type burgers with "fun names".. I especially disliked the "trendy" price codes - not sure why they want to do that, it seems like it is an American type thing. A short wait before getting asked about ordering drinks. The lemonade was off; I tried to tell someone but they blanked me so just chucked into one of the hundreds of glasses waiting to be washed up and got a different drink from the refill machine. Staff members seemed to be walking round the restaurant an awful lot, a bit dangerous on the stairs when getting refills. Ordered food. Food came in about 20 minutes. Seemed quite small. As I said it was okay. 8% service charge was added, which was a bit of a surprise. Not too bothered - we could have asked for it to be removed, but really, I'm not sure anyone would, especially as it should go to all staff not just those doing the waiting. Personally I wasn't massively blown away by the place, I won't rush back, and I'm surprised by some of the reviews that say it is the best ever, because it really wasn't. Overpriced for what you get and tired decor and not much different to the 100's of "Speciality Burger Bars” appearing in most large towns and cities .

Great food (if you like burgers!) Chose to share a vegetarian and a grilled chicken option with the other half. Both were lovely. Nice decor etc and very good service from our Waiter. Lots of parking within a 10 minute walk.

It was okay, but for the money I would have hoped for better

We drove for 90 minutes to get here, the burger was fantastic. One of our waitresses seemed to be in a bad mood, which we didn’t appreciate. We had the phat platter for two which was great, although for my own personal taste I found it very fried and samey. We had the classic beefy burger, mine was smashed, my partner had the thick one with bone marrow. The burgers were worth the drive alone. If I was going again - which I will - I’d stick with a burger, one plain fries to share, and their fantastic Cole slaw. We also loved their Mac balls. On the whole, a good meal, but as I said, for my taste a little too samey regarding the chicken strips, fries and so on. For me, it palls after a while, but you might see it in a different light. I loved the burger buns, too, which didn’t disintegrate on contact with hungry diners. Would definitely go again.

The greasiest burger I have ever consumed. The whole bun was sweating grease, inside out. I used more kitchen roll on my hands and mouth than would for an oil spill. It over powered the taste of the burger and I couldn't even finish it. Both my partner and myself were leaning the burgers on an angle in the bowl to drain the grease away... The fries were bathed in salt and another very disappointing and unfinishable item. Over priced food. Staff were fine. Won't go back

Honestly, after eating many different burgers in my life this was the best burger I’ve had in my life will be definitely be going there more regularly as a treat as the quality of the food is amazing and so fresh and haven’t eaten fries with that much flavour before. This is definitely a must go to if you enjoy burgers and if you don’t this will definitely change you mind!!

This was our 3rd visit to Shrewsbury beefy boys , we absolutely love the food. But we were disappointed that we had to stand outside waiting for our table , I feel like there’s not enough time for people to eat and it overlaps with others waiting , there was that many waiting to be seated this time and the queue was going into the street , it’s not good to be waiting outside in the cold . When we were greeted we never received a sorry for your wait . Or maybe a complimentary drink . It’s a shame as the food is gorgeous

Best burger I've ever had! Would recommend the oklahoma style.

They have a great selections of burgers, with different styles of patty. The taste of the Beef and Chicken is great but when it comes to GREAT flavour, well we were a bit disappointed. The PB&J had no jam flavour or peanut Butter flavour which i am gutted about. The chicken stripes where not HOT spicy at all, which again i was gutted about. Over all it is the extras added like sauces that need working on in my opinion. But over all is was a nice experience

First time visitors - The Dirty boy in smash formation was gorgeous, the wife absolutely loved the Vegan burger, chip portions are huge so sharing is by far the best idea. One item that doesn't get enough credit is the chicken tenders - destroyed a portion of Ninja Chicken Tenders at only £7.80. In the words of Arnie...we will be back!

Would highly recommend The beefy boys. Burgers are tasty and filling, food has real taste. One in our party tried the phat platter, this should not be attempted alone as we had to box it up to take home. Staff member were great with out table. High chair available for child and kids menu available

Jodie made my day, she was so helpful. The spicy burger will kill you if you let it. And they make you sign a waiver so you’ll be liable. The rest of it was delicious and the rest of the wait staff were lovely too.

First time of visiting and definitely won’t be the last. The food was beyond amazing. The chicken tenders were out of this world, the chilli cheese fries were mind blowingly delicious and the burgers will easily rival any other you could possibly think of. Liam was our server, he deserves a special mention for being attentive, polite, helpful and just an all round nice guy. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Well worth a visit and will definitely be back.

A decent experience overall. We had a warm welcome by the front of house, but the main waiter was rude to us, like him not wanting to be there, or us. All three burgers were over seasoned, too salty.

First visit amazing selection of brilliant tasting burgers. The Mac and cheese patty was spot on full of flavour and not dry as some can be.

Now being a hot head and a Burger King, no trip to Shrewsbury would be complete without popping into the famed Beefy Boys for some of their hot stuff. I enquired about their hottest burger, which you have to sign a waiver for, and was quickly dissuaded as my heat tolerance wasn’t up to peak and I wanted to savour the good flavours. Instead I was recommended a Chilli Cheese Boy served with their Hell Boy Sauce. Wise choice as the sauce is good, hot and packs a punch bringing out the sniffles and sweat. Ordered mine with amazing Bacon Fries and washed it down with a yummy Butty Bach ale brewed from the Wye Valley. Great flavour, good heat and decent portions. This place was a worthy visit. Good knowledgable staff and the atmosphere has a very busy but fun vibe. I even came away with a box of their sauces to add to my collection.

Quick family visit before Christmas, been before a few times and also to Hereford location. Shrewsbury is looking a little tatty now with marked and stained walls, dog eared menus. Service was great (left a tip), very nice burgers and fries, both portions of chicken tenders were cold in the middle and had to be sent back. Sat upstairs by the toilets which lacks atmosphere. No beer on draft sadly. Will go again but not in any rush.

We had a fabulous meal! Delicious food, and good service. I docked them 1 star because when we tried to order desert we were told that we had run out of time and they wanted the table for someone else! If they had set our expectations upfront and told us that we could only have the table for 90 minutes, we might have understood. It was mentioned somewhere in the small print but none of us saw it. They gave us complimentary milkshakes, which we had to have outside in the cold rain as the restaurant was too full! A disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant meal.

Went to Beefy Boys for the first time. Really great storey behind these burger chains and the burgers are soooo good! Will definitely be back again to try some of the award winning burgers. Shout out to Sam as well, who was very welcoming to my wife and little boy. She was brilliant with him and also made zero fuss with regards to us feeding him his solid foods and it all being finger food and him making a bit of a mess! If you go when it is your birthday you also get given a free drink!

Food was great as it always is. The problem was the bill. It came to us with a service charge of 8% optional already on the bill. They never asked me so I asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill. It made me feel pressurised into paying for it and when I said no the waiter didn't know what to do. He eventually did, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry about the pun.

Very delicious burgers and the only thing that missing is draft beer!

Came for my Christmas works party, and the food was amazing! Everyone had something different, and everyone really enjoyed theirs. Amazing combinations for food and drinks. I never thought I'd see bacon in a glass of rum, but I'm a fan now! Also, great espresso Martinis!!

Amazing burger, I had a Oklahoma Dirty Boy well done and it has to be the tastiest burger I have ever had the pleasure to eat 😋 HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10.

Been here many times before and it has been spectacular. We travel for well over an hour especially. Had a table booked for 1615. I arrived on time and a couple of my friends arrived 10 minutes later. No problem here. Mains were served promptly and were delicious as always. The issues came after. We were kept waiting for at least 40 minutes after we had finished to be asked for dessert. At this point we were told that we only had the table until 1830 and it was 1805. If someone had come earlier we would’ve been done in good time. Anyway we ordered 3 sundae’s and when they arrived they looked nothing like the ones we’ve had previously and we had pictures of some the last time we came. It looked as if they were just slapped together in a rush in order to get us out the door asap even though we’d spent well over £100. This was a birthday meal for my 40th and although it started off great it wasn’t the best of endings. The pushiness to get us out of the door could have been avoided if we were just seen to earlier. Come on beefy boys… you can do better than that.

First time visiting the Shrewsbury one as i normally go to Herefords. Great food, as always. Everyone was super friendly. We had a young lad in a red top serve us and he was very good, attentive & checked in enough times to check we were ok etc.

Good food but not overly welcoming! Booked a large table for family meal, had to email to book, few back and forth emails from different people but eventually got a table confirmed. It did mention giving card details but never had a request. I called to confirm the booking around 10 days before (just to double check!) all fine. They then called me 5 days before to confirm booking, again confirmed, and no mention of card details. Then got a text the day before asking me to confirm. To my surprise when I walked in my booking had ‘automatically’ been cancelled as I’d not given card details - I said this was odd as I’d not been asked and I’d confirmed the booking 3 times, one within the last 24 hours. Showed the women my text but she was very dismissive and kept saying I’d not provided card details. She walked off and spoke to someone and then said she’d ’see what she can do’ not what you want to hear when you’ve got 10 hungry family members stood behind you. Eventually came back and said ‘you’re lucky’ we have a table. Not the comment or tone you’d expect when you’ve confirmed a booking 3 times, no acknowledgement of any inconvenience for me and had I not been with a large group I’d have turned around and left!

Ahhh Beefy Boys, we were so excited you were coming to our little town for the Christmas Lights switch on, we were prepped with your trading times, you were in Newent between 1pm and 7pm, locked into our plans. At 6:15pm we walked up your truck and were told you had already called last orders 15min prior. How very disappointing, if you were going to stop serving at 6pm, just say so, we would have planned accordingly. You were the main reason we walked into town tonight, all the accolades and the smell from the truck were too good to miss, unfortunately we did, but I don't feel it was our fault...

Burger and loaded fries - unbelievably nice! The brownie was average. Dry and just not good at all - not just my opinion either. Also, why just a brownie and no other desserts on the desserts menu? Service was quick and friendly, very good actually. I would definitely come back again but please improve the brownie and put more than just a brownie on the desserts menu.

Went out with some family and friends. I had never been here before despite walking past it many times when I come to stay in Shrewsbury to visit my family. The service was excellent!! Matthew was amazing and provided us with the best care. He was so helpful and friendly. The food was incredible. So much flavour and filled me up completely! We were served quickly and given enough time between starters and mains. I will beg my uncle to take me here again when I visit Shrewsbury! 10/10 experience. Slay x

Easily one of the best burgers I have had with lots of options, including how the patty is done, toppings of course, and the bread/bun. The selection of sides and drinks is numerous. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the produce clearly being served. Service was great. Prompt, chatty and friendly. The venue itself is nice and has a great atmosphere. Plenty of space. Only wish I lived closer!

I agree with most reviews, the burger patties are good but a meal is not about only one ingredient. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was way off the mark. Buns were burnt, fries were overcooked and cold, and the burgers came swimming in grease. Worst of all service was impersonal and often waiters were vapid. If they insist on including the service charge in the bill, then as a customer I insist the staff make more of an effort. This experience was bad enough to prevent future visits or recommendations. Expected way more at this price point. Do better!!

Good food if you like burgers, which luckily enough is what we went for. Have to say the coleslaw was very tasty as well, and the chips, so yes good food all round. We have done it now though, so doubt we will be back. Staff were friendly and efficient, but the table was a bit tacky.
