We held our wedding reception at The Beech Tree, and booked it last minute due to being let down by another venue. Courtney and her team were exceptional, the food was great, and the venue looked fabulous. Thank you so much for saving our event and making it so memorable!

Great food, excellent atmosphere. Bar got very busy but didn't take to long to get served. Definitely need more loos which I believe are in the process!

Held our 30th wedding anniversary party here. Food and service was outstanding. Had full use of the conservatory area along with play area for the kids. Phil, Courtney and team did an amazing job, would highly recommend and definitely will use again. Thank you all

We booked the Beech Tree for a family get together - was perfect, staff super flexible and accommodating, lots of parking and really lots of room to spread out during the day! The Chef plated up our buffet really nicely and we just really would recommend for an informal and local pub vibe.

Stopped in for a few shandy's, first time visit , will be back regularly 😀 Staff were really good , they were very informative.

We all had a sunday roast even tho we only wanted a salad as it was 30 degrees outside but they still said no, only a roast today!The pork came out and most of it was fat and crackling, 2 roast

Went to watch the engalnd game was a great set up on the big screen but was a bit of nightmare to get a drink. Some of the clientel smoking weed and standing in front of our table was really off putting so we left at half time. Pub looks like it's trying which is good but there was no doorman who could of dealt with this. 4 stars because of the effort thay have made

Myself and a group of girls tried the bottomless brunch, it was amazing best one I’ve been too, the food and service was so good, Courtney is a proper credit to this pub, she goes above and beyond to make everyone happy. Well done guys 😊

Visited the Beechtree tonight, was absolutely lovely, very friendly attentive staff, really tasty food & a good atmosphere! Really enjoyed our evening and a special thanks to Courtney who served us and made our evening special 😊 would defo recommend this place!

The weather is picking up now, but in the winter it has been horrendous to park and walk as so muddy and flooded. Maybe could use these months to resurface it to make it a better functioning car park? Also quiz nights are great, maybe some money prizes - add on a raffle? And sometimes difficult to hear if you are in the conservatory

Nice relaxed pub in a great spot between Totteridge & Hazlemere. The staff were nice and genuinely helpful. Has a nice conservatory for dining. It's neither too big or too small inside. I'm looking forward to a sunny day on the front lawn. Currently putting on a few events to be involved in the community after re-opening.

I ordered a sausage and mash we waited for about 30-40 mins when i got the food it looked like a slop the sausage did not look like a sausage and its just a island of gravy i would only go there for a drink or just don't order sausage and mash

Local pub, just phoned up to book a table for 6 for Saturday night, rude, unresponsive and unhelpful female on phone! Decided to go somewhere else!

This used to be our local, favourite family pub. What happened to you? Went in for a drink this evening, unwelcoming, moody and rude staff member. If you don't have the beer in question, here's an idea turn the label around. Asked about what gins you had, was told in a moody way "they're down there". Told you were closing at 8.30 as you were quiet, well you're going to be quiet with service like that. Kitchen only open Thursday- Sunday. Maybe put this on your website. Drinks very expensive. Had one drink and left to a pub that was actually serving food, busy and welcoming with friendly and polite staff. Won't be going back.

We came across this pub on are way home and stopped for Sunday lunch food was excellent Katy are waitress was very attentive. It was very good value for the money.And would highly recommend this pub. We will return thankyou

Great pub which is struggling to find customers after a period of closure. We visited on a Sunday, at lunchtime. The staff were welcoming, there were plenty of available tables and a good selection on the menu. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Portion sizes are sensible and the dishes were pleasing to the eye. I hope this pub gets the custom it deserves as it should be much more popular. We will definitely visit again.

I had the two meat roast, beef and lamb, that's one slice of each, half of each slice was fat for £20 I was very disappointed. I can't fault the kids chicken and chips

After waiting an hour for food to arrive, the attitude of the lady that was serving us was absolutely shocking! I have given 2 stars as I don't want the whole team to have to suffer for one person's demeanour. I'm pretty sure the younger staff reading this would agree when I say her attitude stinks! From speaking down to the other members of staff within earshot of guests to wiggling her neck when talking to guests. I didn't get her name but if you choose to go here, you will know exactly who I am talking about! This place use to be a lovely atmosphere but since re opening, it has gone downhill.

Went here today for the first time with my partner, we called yesterday to book a table and it was confirmed. Turned up today and we weren’t even in the diary ! Luckily was still given the table but took them about 10 minutes to leave us there standing with no communication. We got sat down, ordered drinks and starters at the bar along with the mains. Starters came out within 10 minutes, then had to wait an hour, yes an hour ! For our mains. Not only it took so long, it took them to just before our food was out to say ours is next. Roast dinner was tiny and barely chicken on mine, was all bone, my other half had the pork belly and it was under cooked. And to top it all off the supervisor was wearing a small crop top ! And the other staff were dressed in tracksuit tops and very unprofessional. We won’t be back that’s for sure.

Heard about this pub re-opening ,So checked the website and menu and decided to walk there,Was a 3 mile on a Saturday.But when we got there they said they was not serving food.Which was not stated on the website so not to happy making a 6 mile journey with no food.

First time at The Beech Tree for a meal. Most of the Menu was not available... 😔 Not a good first impression. Need to cater better and be able to offer what's on the Menu. Food not warm enough when arrived and very slow service, too. I hope you can improve, as this would be very local for us. 🤞 Very pleasant staff, though.

Bar staff were very unfriendly, place is not clean, crisp packets and dirty glasses. The wine was also either off or very poor quality, staff were so unfriendly I decided not to complain and just left

The pub looks very inviting from the outside, the inside is smart, comfortable, and cosy on a cold night. Although the open fire sadly wasn't lit yesterday, there is one near the bar. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and great to chat with. Neither my wife nor I are big drinkers, so we primarily went to eat. The menu contains a good selection and includes vegetarian and also vegan dishes. We ordered our starters and mains and were impressed with the quality of the food. The ingredients were fresh, and the food was delicious, with generous portions (quite rare these days). We enjoyed it so much that we even ordered dessert which we don't normally do. Again, that was delicious, too. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

4 of su and two dogs had starters 2 lamb and one chicken roast followed by the 3 apple crumbles .the food was well cooked and and the service was as it should be .we all enjoyed pour vist to this pub and wish them all the success for the future .

We hosted my mother’s wake service here and were very pleased with how we were looked after! Courtney was attentive and kind and Bradley cooked up a fantastic meal for around 30 guests! Lovely cosy atmosphere, would recommend!

Booked for Sunday lunch and it was lovely, it tasted homemade - all of it . Xmas party tables in full swing and quite busy so had to wait a little longer than normal but worth it. Dog and staff friendly. You order and pay at the bar. Will return to sample their other menu items.

Food was very good and good service, however the food was not hot when it arrived. Generally a good atmosphere but a bit noisy with a screaming child running around.

This pub realy neads its open fire's working or put the heating on ASAP.

Nice pub resurrection, good playpark, adequate selection of alcohol but should soon expand. Support your local independent pub otherwise it's generic corporate pubs across the land

Inexperienced staff, no social distancing, 3 men stood at the bar chatting to each other in a huddle not wearing masks. No table service, which I thought are the rules. Beer very expensive.

We ordered scampi and chips. Scampi wasn't made from whole prawns but was mince and chewy! Service was good with friendly staff.

Nice staff, ok food, big portions. Place looked a bit dirty though, tables needed a wipe. Outside area had ashtrays full of cigarettes and water, which should be emptied, had to really watch my toddler not to grab them of the wall. Had to wait quite a bit for a food too, even though pub was not busy. My baby food came with chips which had loads of salt on. Salt is very dangerous to young babies, these should come without salt. Parents always can add salt if needed, but they cannot remove it once in a dish!

As always great service and attention to Covid safety during this first wave of a return to normal. Outside seating only, with a table across what would usually be the front door, where the attentive staff take your order, pass this onto the person behind the bar, who pours your drinks while you pay, then by the time that is done, your drinks are presented to you. Great location and lots of outdoor seating, especially nice on a sunny day.

I cycle past this place every day and it looks lovely, ample outdoor seating, well spaced, good looking country pub. Went for a drink this evening and the majority of the other tables were made up of under age kids and/or chavs. Rowdy and loud, the police even arrived in the car park and one table surreptitiously walked off in the other direction. Was hoping this would become my local but definitely not!

Went to have an alfresco dine yesterday and my whole family of 5 was ill from the chicken. Use to be a “go-to” pub for me and my husband but the lack of service, children serving food and drink (one girl was actually in her school uniform bringing out our food) such a lovely location and has potential. Very disappointed 😢

Gone downhill since the recent change of ownership. The pup now attracts a chavvy crowd, grouping together with 10+ people on a bench despite covid restrictions. Loud, obnoxious, and the type of people that you are unsure whether they have done time. If you need to go to the loo have fun wading through a sea of teenagers doing drugs.

We visited the beech tree and was so pleased to be outside having a drink. The atmosphere was great the staff were very helpful and were extremely busy. The food was lovely. Thankyou to all the staff for making our evening special. 😎😎

Had sunday lunch today and I have had weekly food here all fresh and home cooked was very enjoyable 5 star would recomend good food drink friendly staff and good service.

Shocking just awful !!! This place used to be lovely but new owners are sinking it into the ground. Myself and my son and dad went there a few weeks ago after calling first to ask if the childrens play area was open to which they said yes!! But forgot to leave out the part that only part of it is open and the rest is a dangerous death trap even has a whole in the ground just open was shocking. Unfortunately we had already ordered our food before we saw the state of the childrens area , also outside bins were overflowing and there were poles lying around on the ground. After 40 mins waiting for a burger and seeing people that come in long after us get the same order which was obviously ours seems they had forgot about us , after being told ours was coming out then about 8 mins i said enough was enough we asked for a refund which the nice bar lady gave us back but didnt refund our drinks as we had already drank half but my son hadn't , a free complimentary drink for all the grieve may have saved me writing my review. There seemed to be lots of staff hanging around in the staff bit thats been cut off eating and looking after their kids. Im so shocked this has happened to once a nice pub.

Awful place. Very dirty. Service was terrible. Asked for high chair for my little one. It was given to me covered in old food so I asked for someone to clean it and was treated as if i was being difficult. Childrens play area is very dangerous and a serious injury is very likely to happen. Large lady behind bar is in the wrong job. Place has potential if they had staff that actually bothered to do anything and a little idea about hospitality. Will never return.

It's a small old pub which has had a restaurant shoehorned into it. It's okay, food is okay and service was good. When we went (weekday lunch time) for a business lunch it was completely empty leading to no atmosphere. The prices were good value however.

Didn’t have the best of experiences when here for Numerous reasons. Drive past daily and always wanted to try it out. But don’t think I would return for a second time. Food wasn’t that great. Ordering wasn’t the easiest as menu online wasn’t the menu that was available. Advertise food inside that wasn’t available. Drink glasses were real dirty and wine was warm, asked for a cold one got another warm one. Staff seemed nice enough but did get ignored a couple of times and didn’t seem all to interested. Disappointing as again the outside looks nice and welcoming.

Served a party of 16 of us and couldn't do enough to help us and see to the kids as well ... wonderful family setting much recommended and all the food was reallt lovely.

It's a nice little pub and the staff are friendly. It's just the angry, swearing-filled music that let it down. Not the best kind of music for a weekday evening

A nice Sunday lunch. All the roasts were good and the veg were lovely and not over cooked. The pie one if us had was less good. Just a topping nd not side o4 bottom to the pie and the top could have been cooked a bit more, but the filling was good. Value was good too and the girls serving worked hard and were friendly and efficient

Chose the venue on the basis of the online menu. Unfortunately this was not what was on offer. The wine list advertises a sauvignon blanc as French, which in reality is Chilean! Can't recommend the Beach Tree as a good place to eat.

Good food, good variety of drinks and very nice pub in general, however it took an hour and a half for food, I think they were overwhelmed by customers on a day where it's usually very quiet so I can understand why it took that long.
