The Beaufort Arms in Cheltenham

Stopped in for a pint and some food while away for work. I don't normally bother leaving reviews but this place is worth a visit. Had their steak night deal, perfectly cooked, homemade sauce delicious, beautiful venue, staff excellent. Almost wished my steak was bad so I had an excuse to order the fantastic looking chicken pie my colleague had.

Booked for 9 and when we arrived they advised they didn't have space so moved small tables together in a corner. We had to go ask for menus. Tables were unclean. Only one floor staff available who was good but just completely alone. Food was good but service was slow.

First class roast - A*... and super friendly staff. That the venue is dog-friendly is a bonus... we were even provided with water and a bowl for Willow's dinner (bits of our roast dinner!). One of Cheltenham's finest 👌

Our first visit and we were happily surprised with light and crispy fish and chips, fresh delicious heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella, beautiful olives to start. Pair that with a cold, crisp Aspall and we’re very happy indeed

That was a really yummy Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff, quick service. We had the beef, the lamb and the belly pork lunches, with additional veggies and pigs in blankets. Big portion size. Too much to eat. Other tables got a doggy bag for the left overs. My only personal criticism would be I like smaller roast potatoes because with roasties, it's all about the crunchy edge. Desserts were very good especially the monster chocolate brownie. Clean toilets. There is a small car park at the rear. Thanks to the Beaufort team. We'll be back to try the small plates during the week.

Staff is very friendly. However, menu selection is not great and different to what’s on Google (no mussel, roast chicken, or roast beef). Food taste is ok

Four of us just had a fantastic lunch at the Beaufort Arms, we’ve been before and it was great so we went again and took friends and it was great again and they loved it too. Great food, great service and a nice chill atmosphere even the music was good. We had a variety of tapas including the salt and pepper squid, pork belly cassoulet, bavette steak, beetroot burger, chicken wings, duck croquettes and more everything was well cooked, well presented and delicious, the wine was good too 10/10 highly recommended

Group of us ate here last night before our choirs concert and had excellent service and food. Despite being a large group ordering a variety of dishes we all were served promptly and meals arrived quickly so we could all eat together. Staff were very accommodating to move tables so that we could extend our group and sit together. A brilliant place for a meal with family or friends .

An Great roast in a great venue.

The food here is absolutely delicious, hearty portions not overwhelming but you definitely won't leave hungry. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and professional they did a great job dealing with our requests and we brought our dog and they brought him a bowl of water without us even asking. Such customer care and attention is brilliant. Such a lovely restaurant, definitely recommended and would go again in a heart beat.

Great place since it reopened. Deserves to be busier than it is. Food is really good quality and reasonably priced for what it is. Lots of good beers including Deya on tap. Decent wine list, friendly staff, nicely decorated inside (in fact we liked the chairs so much we’ve bought some for our house!)

4 of us had a superd meal and dessert. Mystique, our friends dog, was brought a bowl of water without having to ask for it. The service was 1st Class, the food was excellent, and the reatuarnat/bar was exceptoonally spotless, good decor, clean, comfortable chairs. The young lad who served us was 1st class. Thank you to you all, including the chef. Will definately eat here again.

I have eaten here several times with the children, over the course of a few years and have never been disappointed. The Sunday roast is the most child-friendly, for my picky eaters! The desserts are delicious, the service is excellent, as is the wine selection. Friendly and helpful service, and cosy welcoming atmosphere.

Food here is unbelievable. It’s one of the best places in town! Genuinely never had a bad meal and the staff are great. Only thing I would say I’d a kid’s menu would be good but it doesn’t put me off.

The portion of their Sunday roast is huge! My husband really likes their beef roast. A good place for a Sunday lunch.

Food was delicious. Walked/driven past this place many times. This was the first time we came for food. Wine list is good too - none for us, due to dry Jan.

We love it here. Harriet is always very friendly and helpful. Service is excellent. The steak is fantastic and Sunday lunch was great too. Highly recommended.

Amazing Sunday roast. They were also able to accommodate one of us who suffers from celiac disease.

Vengo diverse volte all'anno a chelteam e non avevo mai trovato posto in questo ristorante. Peccato,però oggi ci sono riuscita!!! E devo dire che è un bel posto, ottimo menù ,buona carta dei vini. Absolutely love this place and so happy it's local. Great steak, great wine great service and love the décor inside. Always have a great experience and for my sisters birthday they made it really special.

We all had steak Cooked medium rare and was spot on. Tasty sauces to accompany. Good service attentive yet unobtrusive.

Second time for Sunday lunch at the weekend. Roast beef. Absolutely perfect. Freshly cooked. Portion size generous. Absolutely delicious. Staff attentive and polite. The bill did not break the bank. Highly recommend.

Recently refurbished pub with very friendly staff. Comfy seats and lovely decor. They tuned down the music when requested as my father in law is a bit deaf. Small veggie menu which was pleasant, but this is something that could be improved. Pudding were a good size which is always something that is important! Well worth a look!

Quiet when we went in for lunch, but we had a nice seat by the window and the food and service was excellent, and the price very reasonable.

Had my wedding reception here last week and was lovely. Warm and friendly all my guests enjoyed delicious food. My own steak was perfect. Loved the decor and would recommend for anything, a quiet drink, a delicious meal or a party. Staff were friendly and helpful. My day was made very special.

All nicely refurbed. I had a decent steak the rest of my group had tapas type dishes which they said were very good. Pity the wine list was so expensive at minimum £21. Too much!! So had to to stick to beers. Good service.
