Very good service, friendly staff, lovely home style cooked food, nice quiet environment focused on diner's and very good value for money, definitely worth a visit !

Food hot, top top quality brilliant, very clean hotel property you see them working there to keep making it better .... Thank you fantastic excellent superb, thank you 👏👏👏🍷🍛. A wonderful pub which we visit everyday for lunch when attending Camper Calling. Food is super and all well priced. Charlotte recognises us each year and welcomes us with a lovely smile.

One of the best pubs I've been to, ever. So beautiful inside. Lots of room, beer garden and a extremely clean toilets. The lady that served us was so polite and friendly. We had food for four adults (even though two were 11 and 12) and a bowl of chips for the annoyingly fussy 5 year old. Came to £49. Was it worth it ABSOLUTELY.

Amazing food, super friendly staff, spotlessly clean, great atmosphere, food is always 10/10 and a fantastic cold pint.

We visited at lunchtime and sat in the garden in the sun. Sandwiches were fully filled and came with salad and crisps. Very tasty. Staff friendly. Obviously popular as it was busy when we left.

Fantastic meal yet again thanks and the young lady that took or order was very polite and always looks after everyone with professionalism and enthusiasm.The Bear is a fantastic place for good home cooked food the Stilton soup is so good . Highly recommend by far the best value meal in Alcester.

Fell upon this place by accident! We ate first and second course, too full for dessert!!! Both excellent and piping hot. When we got the bill we thought they’d made a mistake by not changing us for the drinks. When we asked her, had she forgotten them she said no she hadn’t. This was our bill! EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

Our favourite place for food, we have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. The owners are so welcoming and the food is always hot and freshly cooked. Charlotte is so friendly and great at her job. 10/10 on everything about this place.

Basic food done really well. Drinks done well with hot cups for coffee really fresh pipes for the on tap drinks. Food great food for great prices. The one person serving was everywhere looking after everyone absolutely amazing.

The Bear is our usual lunch destination when walking around Alcester. It is an interesting old coaching inn with some tastful modernisation. Their menus are extensive and they have great veggie options all reasonably priced. Food is hot, tasty, arrives quickly and service is always friendly. Note - we usually add a shared bowl of chips as they are the best chips in the known universe. They usually have a couple of nice beers on tap with a good selection of drinks. If you try the Bear, like us, you will probably want to go back!

Love this place, the food is always lovely the side salad is always fresh and well presented. Charlotte the waitress is a really lovely friendly girl, she works so hard and is often run of her feet but is always smiling. Charlotte needs some help...

Fantastic, great staff lovely food and superb beer. I can honestly say I have never tasted a better Bacon and Brie baguette in my life, and I've been around the block and back again.

Been in today for food . Could not recommend this place more . Was warned that the food might take some time to come out . But this was fine because the Real ale was superb 😁 and the food was worth the weight every dish individually cooked come out piping hot good size portions could not finish the plate 😋 Will definitely be going back 👍🏻

Excellent, went in for a snack lunch of soup and sandwich which was wonderful. The lady that served us was very good, pleasant and friendly also received our meal very promptly.

Had lunch at the Bear today with a group of walkers. I cannot speak too highly about this experience. The food was well presented, at a reasonable price, while the service, provided by Charlotte, was second to none. We all felt very Covid safe. Well done to the Bear! We will be returning!!

A charming place. I come for lunch about once a month, and always get lovely food and a superb ale! Staff are young but very polite, welcoming and efficient. Without doubt my favourite pub lunch stop.

Friendly landlord and pub staff. Are very diligent on process to help prevent Covid. Regularly show Premier League football with plenty of screens around the rooms. Nice lounge area. I haven't tried the food.

We had already eaten but what was on the tables served to some customers it very tempting and tasty .We will go there next time we are in Alcester ..A very pleasant English town and location of a very famous film that was shot here .

We had a wonderful meal at the Bear yesterday. We always take visitors there, we never been disappointed the food is always great ! Lots of room and lovely staff after dinner we met up with more family in the large garden Thank you to all the staff see you again soon x

Very welcoming, excellent service, very nice lunch.

Would have given 4 stars but the sausages (with chips) were very cheap sausages and detracted from the whole meal, they were ok but can't say they were nice. I wasn't expecting gourmet sausages but I did expect more than just 3 frozen generic sausages bought in a supermarket. Could and should do better!

Food was ok, although order was wrong and they switched the lights off at 7pm. Large pub and cold. No atmosphere.

Nice pub but no disabled toilets

Had a very late lunch at the pub. Food was freshly cooked so piping hot with ample portions. Staff friendly and tables cleared quickly. I had the ham, egg and chips, hubby had scampi, which we both enjoyed.

Fantastic wee lunch at The Bear today. Couldn't fault a single thing, from the wonderfully welcoming young lady behind the bar (Charlotte?), the gorgeous hot soup and egg and chips, to the lovely lad who was waiting on table. All brilliant. We'll be calling again 😊💜

Nice quiet pint at lunch time. Good wholesome chilli con carne with cheese, tortilla chips, salsa and soured cream. Good value, good stella and washed down with a good shiraz...by the glass!
