Have been to the Bear and Barbers many a time and always had the best time. Loads of happy memories of nights out and with family.Great service and food at excellent prices.

I recently visited The Bear bar and Barbers and it was an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The selection of drinks was fantastic, and the food was even better—everything from the hearty pub grub to the perfectly seasoned fries was delicious. I also loved the quirky decor, and so rare to find a boozer with a barbers inside it which gave the place a unique charm. Whether you're there for a casual drink, a meal, or just to unwind, this pub has it all. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back. I happened to be there on a karaoke night and it was fantastic Warren the dj created a fab vibe and it became a party that I won’t forget. I highly recommend this gem!

Lovely local pub, with friendly staff and good selection of food and drink

I have been going to the Bear for years and I can only compare it to a glass of fine wine..( its got even better over the years) . Their Sunday Roast is the best in the area for price and taste , alongside the free Sunday pool table ...its a family win .That being said , the main thing that draws me to the Bear ( apart from the staff) is the fact its one of the only pubs that plays live music locally , is not a franchise or fancy wine bar.. just a good old fashioned pub .So if you want tasty food served somewhere family friendly or a night of live music ,Karaoke or pool ,the Bear & Barbers is a win for all.

Visited the bear many many times over the years. The food is always spot on at a very reasonable price 👌 the live music is always decent and the garden is nice to chill in when summer arrives 😀 The staff are always friendly and if your over due a trim they've got you covered 😉 being kid and dog friendly is a big bonus to ! Will be visiting again soon for the grizzly bear breakfast 😋

Wonderful pub with amazing food and genuinely friendly staff. They have a great atmosphere and always have something on. Their outdoor bbqs are THE BEST in the summer months and a place for the kids to play. It’s amazing they have a barber inside so you can enjoy a pint and have a haircut. BEST PUB IN TOWN ☺️

This is by far the best pub in Walton on Thames the staff are amazing the food is stunning!! Then to top all this the entertainment provided on some weekends is brilliant, live music and even WA KARAOKE which is always good for a night out

I’ve been frequenting this bar for a good few years now, the atmosphere alone is reason for a return - we have ended up striking a friendship with the owner and family. If you have good intentions, all are welcome here, do not listen to negative reviews, these are just low IQ individuals who cannot handle their tipple and also cannot handle being told ‘no’ Keep up the good work!

Recently went with my friend for a bite to eat I was not disappointed! I only had something small well I thought was small but come out huge! Safe to say I ate ever last bite! Can’t wait to go back and try the Sunday roast! Highly recommend

The roasts are unbelievable (particularly the lamb shank) and don't miss the Warren Karaoke nights every other weekend usually!

Says closes at 1 but they don't allow people after 11:45, this is ridiculous and I cast 1000 years of crop wither upon them

Worst service ever .went at 11:30 pm for a beer , and i was told that they don't serv new customers 😑.

Can't recommend the food enough here at the bear! We had a very large group for a birthday. John and his team were fantastic, great customer service, Lukes food is brilliant! We did pre-order to help, great suggestion!! Can't wait to go back! They certainly went above and beyond for us, thankyou.

Lovely atmosphere, really nice family pub that also does live music and karaoke at the weekends. Cosy interior and large garden which is great in the summer. I’ve been coming here for nearly 30 years. The food is especially good, everything is cooked from scratch. 10/10 highly recommended.

Was in search for a Sunday roast and came across The Bear. So pleased I did! The food was delicious and it looked as good as it tasted. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, child and dog friendly! I will definitely be back and look forward to trying other things on the menu.

What a fabulous pub! I stopped in last night to hear the live music. Singer Aaron was outstanding. Lovely staff, brilliant service, warm atmosphere. I've been before also for a bite to eat and the food is incredible! Highly recommend to anyone!

Myself and my family have been coming to The Bear & Barber’s for many years and we absolutely love it! So welcoming, family friendly & The owners and staff are so friendly and kind and always welcoming! The food is amazing I’ve never had a bad experience all the time I’ve been there and loving the new menu! I’d highly recommend people to come and enjoy either a drink or food in their garden also which I must say it’s beautiful when it’s summer time!

The landlord and whole team are a credit to the service industry. The food is reasonably priced and a cut above normal pub grub. They arrange regular entertainment so you have the character of a good old fashioned pub with modern food and a great selection of beer/lager and spirits. It is definitely one of the best pubs in the area.

Absolutely love coming here with friends and family. Food is incredible! My daughter loves running around and playing in the garden - very child friendly. (Get the park back!) So relaxed. Great staff. I often come for the live music it's always great entertainment & always someone new to meet but filled with bubbly locals!

Excellent family friendly atmosphere with different events every night of the week. Their Friday and Saturday night are especially the best with their local DJ (WA Entertainment). Would 100% recommend and a bonus their food is great! Will definitely be back.

We have visited this pub several times and always enjoyed it. There’s a relaxed atmosphere, the beer garden catches the sun and often has nice dogs visiting and the drinks are reasonably priced. On our most recent visit, we tried the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and the vegetarian option was tasty. We love this place.

Outstanding place to visit when out of town. Food is awesome, really good friendly atmosphere, and I got my hair cut at the same time while wife is shopping in town, well done guy's 5*

Absolutely love the Bear! Sunday roasts and the breakfasts are both amazing. Staff are wonderful here too. The garden is fab in the summer too, really big and loads of seating. There's live music and pool, too!

Came here after a lot of recommendations for Sunday lunch. Reserved a table for 1pm as there were no earlier slots available and now I know why! Half roast chicken was huge and succulent. Fresh vegetables and "proper" roast potatoes. Lovely thick red wine based gravy and a giant yorkie to top it off. My partner had the lamb shank that literally fell off the bone it was so tender. At £15 for a roast it's fantastic value for what you get compared to what I have had in the local area. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great pub close to the town and river Thames , big beer garden , very friendly staff and locals .. quality beers .. foods fantastic .. I haven't tried the barbers but a great idea , get the kids haircuts whilst you have a drink .. brilliant .

Vince is a lifesaver! I got my hair completely ruined by a barber shop up the street and Vince squeezed me in between appointments on an emergency right before a wedding. Also just a lovely and personable guy who will chat with you about anything and was incredibly welcoming to a tourist not from Europe at all. Thanks Vince, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m here! I've just come across this place. I popped in today and had my hair cut by Vince and a nice pint of Moretti. Would highly recommend both. Pool table, dartboard and food. Very nice outside area and plenty of TV screens.

What an excellent pub. A warm welcome from the staff, excellent well cooked breakfast including fried bread. The rest of the menu looked good too. Pleasant out door area. I am not even going to drop a point for the uninspiring ale range. When I first saw the in house barbers it was a little surreal, but the whole atmosphere is excellent and if the haircuts are as good as everything else it's a cut above other pubs ..

As always the service and food is excellent, Vince is fantastic with the kids and always makes them laugh... 10/10

Had another amazing skin fade by Vince, absolutely top notch and brilliant fade, no one I know can even come close to the skills Vince has when comes to a fade, won't let anyone else go near my hair! And as always had a good time there as Vince is always so friendly and chatty!! Highly recommended always.

For a small pub, it was very clean and the toilets were spotless. The food we had was incredible 😋. Highly recommend the baked potato with ham and chicken. The cod and chips were cooked very well with no greasy after taste, and the chips were perfect. 10/10 will let you know about Sunday roast later. The Sunday roast was just WOW. Chicken roast and mixed meat road. Absolutely perfect. 💯. Next the breakfast, will fill in later. Thanks.

I went in to see Vince today for a women’s hair cut. As someone who’s always gone to salons I wanted to try a blunt cut for my hair to make it feel thicker. Vince knew exactly what I wanted and gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had and for the best price. He’s a lovely gentleman and very welcoming. I’ll be recommending him to everyone as he’s a truly lovely person and brilliant at what he does. See you soon vince for my next trim! Thank you again :)

Stopped in here for a breakfast on a sunday and for a scrambled egg for the +1 really good value for money, great service and atmosphere.

Took my 4 year old for a cut today and John did a smashing job. I don’t often walk into a pub mid morning so I was a little dubious at first but it was quiet and calm, the welcome was warm and we all felt completely at ease. We’ll certainly go back for his next cut!

Will never come back when thr guy known as snowy is working. He is rude ans blunt. He also charged my card £135 instead of £35 and when I confronted him at the bar he wasn't even sorry, he simply refunded my money and told me to go away, I also had to wait 7 days for my refund. This man should not be behind the bar, not only can he not see but he is the most rudest person I've ever met!!

Came here for lunch with my parents, the staff in the pub were friendly and attentive, we had sandwiches, the Chicken, Bacon & Mayo was simply beautiful! The sandwiches were full of fillings and served with a small amount of fries on the side, will absolutely be returning here for lunch again in the future!

Visiting Walton on boat asked local for recommendation for breakfast and he suggested the Bear as he said it was the best in the area, it didn’t disappoint. Great host and food and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and go back if in the area.

Nice pub. Went to play pool which was good but not quite enough space around the table which makes it difficult for some shots. Nice atmosphere and nice garden.
