As usual the food was excellent and we were well looked after. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. There is something on the menu or Specials Board for everyone including a children's menu.

Always been a great fan of all the Hog and Bean enterprises, but recent mid week lunch at Bean and Welly was mediocre, at best. Ate off the daily specials fancied soup served with a cheese scone .. but out of scones... apple crumble and custard ..but no custard. Veggies served with meal we eventually chose are now getting very very boring (same red cabbage..over cooked, beans and carrots whatever you have including Sunday lunch delivery). Nothing wrong with frozen veg if they are cooked well but its all got a bit samey and nothing special and somehow the whole place didn't have the usual inviting atmosphere. Shame.. will give it a miss for a while I think.

We recently visited The Bean and Welly Café in Deal, ( ME and my older parents who are not easy to please!) and what a great experience it was! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with a friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing. The mac and cheese and the roast, both of which were served hot and tasted fantastic. But the real star of the show was the homemade porridge waffles. Topped with crème fraîche, fresh strawberries, honey, they were a delicious treat that you just have to try. The service was brilliant, too. The staff were cheerful, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. If you’re in Deal, you’ve got to give The Bean and Welly Café a try. With its delicious food and friendly service, it’s a spot that you’ll want to visit again and again. Highly recommend it!

Great little cafe for an early morning coffee and hot chocolate, both very good. The food looked equally as good and we would have eaten if we'd been there later in the morning. Staff very friendly and service was quick and efficient. Would recommend.

Visited here on the last bank holiday in May. What a lovely place to visit and have lunch. Minimal wait time as it was lunch and they were busy. Good food choices. Will definitely be back Staff very pleasant

My Wife and I have been traveling to Deal for many years often passing by this site often being refurbished ,rebuilt ,renamed etc .Until I spotted Haggis upon a notice board outside . Venturing in ,it was packed .It had only been open an hour too. I asked to be seated ,any where came the reply . Sat ,waitress came to take our order . I enquired as to how the Haggis was prepared / cooked ? She did not know . We then realised our forearms become stuck to the table. The food arrived as ordered ,nothing added for not having beans as requested politely. Superb taste , superb ingredients , the Haggis was very small portion .All upon a warm plate too .Very enjoyable we shall definitely return . Staff were unsure if they were upon TripAdvisor or what part of Scotland the proprietor came from . Décor was very pleasant with the ambient lighting fantastic sea view. Only been there 9 months .long may the business flourish .

Sat and waited 20 minutes with no service. This was while 5-6 staff stood a chatted. I had to approach a member of staff to place a order. When this finally happened the first thing I got told was what time they closed . Really felt welcome !! . Sat and waited for what turned out to be very average food . Will not be returning.

Cannot say I agree with the other six reviews so far posted for this establishment. Coffee fine and Earl grey teabag in a tea pot acceptable but toasted sandwiches and full English breakfast below average. Sausages overdone. Frozen hash browns not crispy or fully reheated. Bacon middle of the road, not crispy and if anything being slightly undercooked. Just all unappetising. I could go on. Instead simply will not be returning. There are much better propositions elsewhere. For example Goose on the Green down the road in Walmer. Or even the original Wellingtons that this place used to be and decamped to Dover. Sorry but cannot recommend.

There were 34 of us today for a two course Sunday Roast following a reunion meeting. It was fabulous in every way: lots of well organised friendly service staff, large portions of well cooked food, which was delicious and a great value price.

Last minute decision through laziness to go for Sunday Roast. Best decision we made that day. Polite attentive staff, delicious roast dinners, both the Beef and Pork. Tasty and tender, portions we're huge, my wife struggled to finish, even the gravy tasted lovely. We will definitely be back again.

Hearty breakfast, comfortable seats and a great view. Prices are reasonable too. The added bonus of an early opening time means that parking is less of an issue before Deal gets busy. My only suggestion would be to add a larger breakfast option to the menu (triple bacon, etc.) that includes a hot drink.

Best food of our week in Deal. We were only eating light so just had soup but it was amazing and clearly homemade. The Scottish waitress is so welcoming and friendly and the whole place had a great vibe. Think it only opens during the day but don't miss this gem if you're visiting Deal

Wow what a delicious breakfast overlooking the seafront. Everything was so nicely cooked - my husband said the black pudding and haggis were delicious additions to a hangover breakfast. I had the wee welly the smaller breakfast but it was perfect. Great coffee too. Young staff were all welcoming and efficient to seat people and turn tables, a good team effort. We were so pleasantly surprised after being disappointed elsewhere we are just glad we got a table as we didn't book ahead. Will definitely return when back in Deal. Well done to the Bean & Welly!!!

Super friendly staff. Great menu choice. Large premises. Very welcoming. I imagine a beautiful view- however it was raining hard and howling wind on our visit !. The location is sea front. Service was quick and staff were attentive but not intrusive. Very relaxed atmosphere. Lovely place. Will go back. Thank you guys x

The sun was shining so we decided to try Whitemills Kitchen for an Al fresco lunch. My husband and I had the chicken and ribs sharer and it was stunning. Succulent juicy ribs and chicken with corn, coleslaw and a large bowl of fries and all washed down with a nice cold glass of wine. The staff are excellent and we really enjoyed watching the wakeboarding. We will definitely return.
