Staying in area and booked dinner. Lovely. Small friendly pub. The food was so good. Recommend the pies. Huge portions so don’t expect to have room for pudding. Really friendly staff. Apparently do takeaway fish and chips on Fridays £10. Would have gone back for that.

A lovely traditional old pub. Really warm welcome. Good choice of food at reasonable price. Our meal was spot on 10 out of 10.

Big portions of superb food. Very much a traditional pub vibe with friendly locals and dogs behind the bar. We had the Steak and Ale pie and Wagyu burgers (from the extensive specials menu) - both highly recommended.

We have eaten at the Beaconsfield Arms many times, after trying many in the local area, but now we stick with the Beaconsfield Arms because for food is to perfection and very good value, highly recommended

On holiday in the area and on Saturday we had an evening meal at the Beaconsfield arms. The landlord and lady made us feel most welcome. This pub is a little gem. If i lived in the area, this would be my Local ! The service we had was brilliant. Our Drinks were cold and our meals were cooked to perfection and piping hot..All our food was freshly cooked and very generous in portions. We sat outside as the evening was hot. We enjoyed our meals so much in the relaxed atmosphere that we went back for our Sunday lunch. Again,our meals were freshly cooked and service was second to none...If your in the area and your thirsty or hungry.Give the Beaconsfield a try. I'm sure you wont be disappointed. You will receive a very warm welcome. The quality of food is top drawer. Hospitality at its finest.

We really had a wonderful time at this place it was my first time visiting and certainly wouldn’t be the last. Great food and atmosphere, wonderful customer service from Leigh and Peter really nice and polite. I really highly recommend this place.

Stopped off for a Sunday roast with a family of 4 and a dog,very warm welcome,very polite,took our order very quickly,roast was one of the nicest we have had dining out and not many places serve you a roast with 7 different types of veg,highly recommended

We went BeaconsfieldArms Occold on Friday 2nd August for evening meal, was made very welcome by the owners and there staff, food was fantastic highly recommend if your in that area.

Quintessential village inn tucked away in the middle of Occold. A lovely curry had, washed down with a pint of well kept local ale from Victoria Brewery. Dog friendly.

My family and I had the best Sunday ever today and think its the best pub in Suffolk, a real gem with friendly attentive staff and a great choice of excellent beers. The owners are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them.

This pub was recommended to me recently by a patient. She was not wrong. Loads of tasty food and great value. It was my first visit with the family, we were made to feel very welcome and they helped to celebrate my son's birthday. Will definately return! Thanks all.

Very impressed with quality of food. I had steak and kidney pudding which was full of meat and gravy and also very hot. Lots of vegetables which I love and mashed potatoes. Would definitely recommend. My husband had the curry which again was hot and tasty. Very good portions. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious with a good portion of custard. The staff were communicative and friendly. They had 3 lovely dogs behind the bar which were quiet and friendly. All in all I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Great small pub, with such friendly staff

These guys are awesome. We turned up to a few locals at the bar having a cheeky pint and a friendly lady to sit and serve us the best fish n chips in what I can describe in a very long time. She offered us the food menu to look at and took our drinks and food order. Most of us ordered fish n chips. A few minutes later we could see the chef emerge from the kitchen with a bowl to pour some ale, I knew instantly he was making us fresh beer batter for our fish. Say no more, food cooked with love - Fish batter was crispy,cooked to perfection and tasted amazing with the homemade mushy peas and crispy chips served from what I believe is a husband and wife Team was just out of this world. I'd like to say a massive thank you, you made our adventure Into other pastures so much more comforting. We will see you again for roast dinner Sunday.

A low ceiling pub, serving different varieties of meals and drinks, which could trace back around 15th century. Have a car-park area, very cool place, about 10 minutes drive from Eye.

The food and service is excellent . We had the Sunday roast, which was like a very good home cooked meal much better than the major corporate establishments put on.

Visiting my step dad and went to this local pub for a meal. Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere. They made me a vegan burger and it was amazing. Even had fresh vegan slaw that was delicious. Thank you for accommodating my dietary choices. :) I recommend visiting this place !

We are staying locally for a week’s holiday and have just had a wonderful roast dinner here with our dog Jack. The food was served lovely and hot, plenty of it and cooked so well. The chocolate brownie was the best I have ever had. My husband chose the sticky toffee pudding and he said it was so light and tasty. Coupled with the very pleasant girls at the bar and the very welcoming landlady, we are looking forward to another dinner later this week. Thank you so much, we’ve had a most enjoyable experience.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal here this evening with family and our dog, we were made to feel very welcome, such a friendly atmosphere. The pub had two very lovely dogs which is always a bonus. Would definitely return here when visiting again. Food was fantastic, very generous portions, thank you. Bruno the dog loved his visit too.

Absolutely gem of a find. Staying locally for a few days and met here with family. Lovely warm welcome..... food was absolutely amazing. All freshly cooked, meat pie couldn't have squeezed another piece of meat in it. I'm a pudding girl and oh my....did not disapoint, lemon and redcurrant sponge.....mmmmm!! Very reasonable 👌

What a lovely pub and landlord and Landlady! We had our regular swim at a nearby pool but didn't have anywhere to go to after for a meal together as most pubs stopped doing food by the time we were able to get dry. But this lovely landlord, who is also the chef agreed to do our meals a bit after time and what a fab meal we all had the famous pie, mash and veg all cooked to perfection with lashings of nice gravy and a pie crammed full of meat!! They had stoked the fire and sat us on nearby table to warm giving us all a lovely cheery welcome as we came in from the cold. I'm taking my hubbie and son back soon for pie and mash and we will be able to bring our dog too ...can't wait!!

We had a very good meal here with our extended family. The owners were very accommodating, especially with our 4 grandsons who ranged in age from 16 months to 5 years.

We visited today as a family of ten to end a special birthday weekend away. The Sunday Roast was incredible and by far the best I’ve eaten in a very long time. Fantastic value for money and all freshly prepared. Service is quick and the staff are all very helpful. Well kept ales on the pumps too 😃 This pub is a great find and a must to visit!

Really friendly and cosy local pub. Landlady is really accommodating, especially to cyclists and the coffee is great. One thing I loved is that she asked for feedback and suggestions to make our experience better. There is plenty of space for parking and some nice tables outside where you eat or drink with your bike :-)

Roast beef on a Sunday. Perfect 🥰

During our celebration weekend with all of our family of 19 at nearby Horham we ate Sunday lunch here. The table for our large group was set up in a private area away from the main bar area which allowed us to enjoy ourselves without disturbing others. The welcome was perfect with bunting decorations and a surprise bottle of Cava supplied to us by the Landlord. It was dog friendly, which was a requirement, as we had a well behaved dog with us and behind the bar were 2 other large but very well behaved dogs. Fortunately we went straight into the main Roast which comprised a choice of Beef, Pork and Turkey or a mix, numerous fresh vegetables, big Yorkshire puddings and lovely roast potatoes. The ample supply of gravy had a lovely flavour. A nice surprise were plates of Pork scratchings supplied as a starter. A variety of home made sweets were offered and taken up by most of us who had room. Being a real ale drinker, a good supply of local ales were available and those I tried were in perfect condition Service was excellent including keeping our glasses refreshed throughout. The cost was very reasonable and everybody when leaving felt they had a fulfilling meal. Well done to everybody at the Beaconsfield Arms and if we are ever in the area again another visit will be necessary

Fantastic Sunday lunch, generous portions at a reasonable price. Food came out hot, great selection of vegetables and two choices of meat. Great value, very welcoming hosts, nothing was too much trouble. As a family we would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Really nice pub , good beer , great staff and ambience that is sadly missing from many others . Oh and there are friendly pub dogs wandering round but it is their home so you do have to cose them ... looking forward to my next visit .

We visited the Beaconsfield Arms for dinner whilst on holiday. We were a large group of 11 but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent with a good variety of options to choose from and reasonably priced. The landlord was excellent with the children and let them play with Charlie and Oscar the resident dogs. Hopefully we'll visit again one day.

Fantastic hosts and service, with excellent food and banter is the hidden gem near Eye which has lots of seating inside and out. Very well supported by locals and the general public would be best advised to give it a go as well. Saturday morning breakfasts are a hit as well. Book in advance for food.

One of the friendliest pubs I have ever visited. Peter is a fantastic host and a committed owner, he personally came to our table and spend a lot of quality time speaking with my family and played with my dog. The food was very delicious and made fresh while we had a few beers talking to the other families and their dogs. Loved the place and environment, will be visiting again as soon as I am able to travel again to that part of the country.

This is an old fashioned pub with a restaurant serving a variety of meals at reasonable prices. What makes it special is that the licensees, Peter and Leegh, are really friendly. We felt like valued customers because they took an interest in us, and provided a good service. They changed the TV channel for us, fed our dog, and helped us find a local hotel after we were let down by one we had previously booked. Other customers were friendly too, and we had a lovely time chatting with some of them.

This is our new local pub and we couldn't be happier!! Been there for food and drinks a couple of times now and I honestly can't fault the food or service. We had a family Sunday roast today and everything was cooked to perfection! Can't recommend enough. Can't wait to go back!

lunch time break from decorating, had a very nice Adnams Bitter, chees n ham chiabatta and chips , bit of salad..good food reasonably priced. Plenty of space for social distancing , sat out the back in the marquee. willbe our local as only 2 minutes away.
