I can't remember the last time I had a burger that tasted so good. It was so good I had to get seconds 😂

We visit every so often and it's always a treat. Personally I love the Buffalo Blue burger but they have quite a range of offerings (website will have it all listed). The staff and owner are really friendly and always able to adapt something if needed, just ask them. It's not cheap, it's not expensive, it's just right. But it is definitely delicious 😊

The food it’s ok but the waiting time it’s horrible + the unfriendly staff.. what can I say

We had the smallest mishap with our order (life happens). The manager, call assistant and even chefs in the kitchen could not have been more helpful. We were so grateful of the quick turn around, the food was honestly exceptional along with the outstanding service. I could not encourage anyone thinking of ordering/collecting to go for it, you will not be disappointed. The pricing is spot on, it’s no quick fix either.. we are absolutely stuffed! Thanks for the great food and helpful staff! My review could not do it justice :)

Food was out of this world! Had amazing chips with brisket, two great burgers and a sausage. Really top quality food. In a strange location in Gloucester but don’t let it put you off!

Having taken a break from ordering from here. I really wanted a nice chilli hotdog. The food delivered was amazing. Everything tasted great. It was all a good temperature. I really enjoyed the new pitmaster fries (I had the brisket ones). The hotdog was good quality and I always enjoy their chilli. The BBQ beans weren't for me. I found them a little sweet. But my friend really enjoyed them so it's just personal taste. It's not the cheapest food. But you pay for the quality and it's well worth it.

Ummm maybe I should of got a burger instead, cuz I ordered a smoked meat box the dragon fries and mac & cheese was nice but the meat was a bit dryyy in my opinion.

Portions seem to have reduced over the years but food is great. Last order they missed my extra portion so had to go back. Definitely worth a try

BBQ Society is incredible. I’ve been to both Gloucester and Stroud and the service is always great. The smash burgers and bbqed meats are amazing and the dragon salt fries are delicious! You can tell they actually enjoy making the food. If you want proper BBQ, definitely give them a try!

Great food - terrible location. Never a complaint about the food as its always so good and the staff are lovely, but the place is hard to find and both times I've parked there I've come back to damage to my car caused by other vehicles as the parking is so tight.

I don't think I can actually explain how good the food from BBQ society is.. it's 10/10 no doubt. Generous portion sizes, proper messy eating, and is just amazing. You will not regret trying any of the food here, and I'm pretty sure I've tried everything at this point (excluding the vegan stuff)

When the milkshake machine decides to work, they are out of this world. The team are always so friendly. The girl that served me was so lovely and smiley, didn’t catch her name tho…

All I can say is if you haven’t been yet , you need to get yourself down to bbq society. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is unreal , full of flavour , big portions and just a lovely welcoming atmosphere , it’s a must !!

Hands down the best takeaway in Gloucester. Great staff, great food and a great atmosphere. Never had a complaint! The pulled pork is to die for! Look out for their specials too, their ideas never cease to amaze the inner foodie in me.

This evening I had the original Smash burger and a tub of coleslaw. I was keen to try the burger as I've never had one before. It looked good and tasted great. I'd have it again, although this one was cold this evening. That could be because I drove 15 minutes back home with it? Possibly. The website was down this evening, so it wasn't easy to see the menu, and now I've found some different menus on their Google business page, and I see they also do hotdogs etc. I will try and view their website tomorrow to see what that would have had on it.

Excellent! The poutine fries and chicken thighs were my favourite, but we'll be back to check more. :-D

Food is very, very tasty but this is the second time now we have had to reheat it when it got to us. Probably not the venues fault but just frustrating, it would just be nice to have the burgers and the poutine fries hot, sadly the cheese hadn’t melted :( for the price it should be hot!

Always amazing, you do wait a while for your food, but it’s well worth it.

Ordered hotdogs. Such a mess! Greasy and toppings inside and outside the bun with the bun dripping in fat. Not good. Chips tasted hollow like they had been fried too long. Not worth the money at all.

Absolutely amazing food! Such a hidden spot but one everyone should go out of their way for! Such good food and for really reasonable prices! I’d easily pay way more money for the quality of their food! Happy happy customer!

This is THE go to place! From the smoked meat bix to the burgers. Everything is made to perfection. Their specials are always awesome. Especially around Christmas and Easter.

Omg, Best Takeaway Burgers I have ever tasted. We had the Pulled Pork and PBJ. The loaded Fries were super tasty as well.

Just had an order delivered for my son + myself, paid extra for priority delivery, still took well over an hour to get here while the driver done 5 other deliveries en route , hence we get a cold delivery.

Finally gave this place a go and I was not disappointed, the Burgers were outstanding! Nice and juicy, sauce was beautiful and the bun held up well, sides were onion rings and pulled pork loaded fries and again outstanding!! Definitely recommend

The food was incredible and brilliant value for the amount we got. I've not enjoyed food this much for a long time. We had the pitmasters platter and it was more than enough to share. Will definitely be back, glad to have found this place.

Highest quality burgers I’ve had!

The Ferrari of Burgers. Just melt in the mouth, classic flavouring. Took my two young boys (8 and 6), and they could not get over how much better the burgers are here than the big chains. Ben and team have done an amazing job, if only there were more BBQ Society's scattered all over the country. £10 for a burger, huge portion of fries and a drink...amazing value!

After our first visit we were approached by the owners and asked us to try again This time was like night and day. The food was much better and the customer service was great. Thank you

The best food available in Gloucester from lovely local owners that really care about the food they're producing. Everything we order we absolutely love. Their chilli is from another planet and every option is so fresh and insane flavors!! Everything is well thought out and never disappoints. Hopefully they open a restaurant one day 🙏

We love BBQ society and have been coming since you first opened .. on our recent visit I can say it's not the same.. We had to go in and order due to having a voucher and this cannot be used online, we waited for 10 minutes before being acknowledged over the sea of online delivery drivers ( definite change since you've added online delivery) asked for grilled onions in my burger wich I did not get. I was over charged by £5 but considering it took 10 minuets to get attention to place an order I didn't fancy waiting another 10 to go through what I ordered - the food is always great (except the prices have sky rocketed) but this visit was a real disappointment and can't say we will be returning in a hurry :(

We thought it was great to have something like this in Gloucester. However, it was really disappointing. Meat so dry and the chicken wings couldn’t be eaten due to the huge amount of salt on them. My wife’s chicken was rock hard and most of the takeaway went in the bin and dog bowls. So sad it was not even good. Will not be coming back.

We did click and collect for lunch on Saturday. First time visiting and thankfully we don't live close because the food was epic!! Best chicken burger Ive ever had! Would recommend! If I'm ever in the area again I will be going back!

I must be around 10 order now the food taste great it’s fresh, it’s creative. What more could you asked for?! Hands down it beats Beef Boys by a long shot.

I am happy to see many 5 star reviews as I want support small businesses like this but for me it was average. I had the original burger plus jalapeño. My daughter had the sloppy Joe dog. Hers looked a lot better than mine. I saw my burger sitting for more than 5 mins on the counter waiting for the dog so was lukewarm when it go to me. Bun was small and toppings limited. Daughter liked her dog but agreed it was not ‘4 very good’. I wish them well but would not rush back. Sorry

Great tunes. Superb service with good banter. The food is astonishing! If you haven’t been, just go. Easily the best in the surrounding area.

Just try it. Don't overlook even the standard cheeseburger! The gherkin relish is great. The belly pork bites are amazing (when they finally cool down!). The korean chicken wings are fantastic, the combination of what's on them is great. When you go to the BBQ society you get great such a huge array of sides to pick from. Definitely worth it. If I'd have one criticism, it would be better if they got more heat into the burger buns themselves with a bit of steaming, perhaps in a bit of real ale because a squirt of that under a cloche works great.

First time I ate at BBQ society was brilliant, food was tasty, warm and a change to the usual takeaway. But the past few orders have been sub par. Food is lacking the taste it had, turning up cold and the price doesn’t reflect the food. I will be giving it a while before I order again as I don’t want to be disappointed further.

I was looking online for a BBQ place in Gloucester and I have to say these guys make some really good food. I had a box meal and a pulled pork burger and it was beautiful their BBQ sauce was really good too I recommend it. Only thing I'd say if you driving there the parking is hit and miss and take your time as the speed bumps pack a punch. Anyways il be coming back for something different soon, thank you to the guys for a brilliant experience!

WOW ,I've been hearing about this place for 2 years but just never got round to going as its across town from me ,so as soon as I walked through the door and could see the hot plate and smoke and the 2 giants working in there I knew I had found heaven, being a virgin to the BBQS I roughly knew what I wanted and asked the gent who served me what he would recommend, after a quick chat the order was made ,he also told me about smash burgers and all the toppings they use ,let's just say my taste buds had an epileptic fit ,we drove home and could not wait ,my wife is very fussy with food so I was abit worried as she only eats that rubbish Maccys, we opened up our boxes and it was love at first sight, I picked up my smash cheese and bacon burger topped with pulled pork and boy that thing was loaded ,the first bite was like WOW ,you get all the flavours, you can taste every single thing in that bun ,it looked great and tasted fantastic, but must say it beat me ,I got 3/4 of it down but saved the rest for later ,the onion rings and fries topped with salt and pepper were epic, thank you guys and well worth the 2 year wait ,also get your brownies from the shop next door ,I recommend the hot chocolate brownies, goooooie gorgeousness 🤘🤘

Ordered here for the first time this evening after seeing a TikTok video go viral for it. First thoughts, a little bit on the pricey side but oh god was it worth it. We had 2 x meat box’s with bacon dust fries, Mac and cheese and pork belly bites. The food was incredible, the meat box’s were decent portion sized, the Mac and cheese personally wasn’t for me however my husband demolished it in a matter of seconds!staff were friendly and attentive, tucked away location but definitley the best find. Yes it may be a little bit more pricey than your average grill, but this is NOT your average grill, it is soooo much better than that. Best meal I’ve had for a while. Thank you so much!

Rarely do I find a sausage that has changed my life. But, my goodness, I had a meaty length that gave me everything I didn't know I needed today. Beyond scrumptious and highly recommended. 😋

Travelled from Cirencester having seen online reviews and it’s worth the drive! Everyone loved the food, the best bbq we’ve had in the UK. As well as the amazing food they are super great people too. You’ve got to try it! And please put that brisket on the menu, simply delicious. We will be back.

My FIRST time here! Now this is definitely a "Hole in the wall"! First and foremost, the owner was so friendly and pleasant! We placed our food order, average wait. While waiting for our food we checked out this Asian store near by! It was not your typical store, it was more like a warehouse, this place offered a variety if items. Back to get our food!!! Aroma was awesome! We got back to SUV, opened the back laid out our food, BAM!! Everyone was making comments on how tasty their burgers were 🍔 as well the Cajun fries 🍟!!! My naked chicken wings had a smoke taste which I enjoyed very much along with my pork hotdog!! My son in law had a chocolate shake, which was so yumny, we we t back to order 3 more!! Visiting from California USA, I will always remember this place for their food and the owner!

Uber eats stole our large order but these guys sorted us right out after. Quick and friendly great customer service. Food was delish - try the midnight mac and cheese and Southern gravy- 10/10. Great bbq food thank you guys- will be ordering again!

Tried tonight for the first time after seeing reviews on social media & it didn't disappoint the food was awesome & staff are great

The food here is second to none. One of the best burger places we’ve found. It’s a shame the delivery service lets them down though! We don’t mind paying slightly higher prices for delivery of quality food, but this evenings food was cold, not even warm, which is disappointing given the quality of food. Would have been lower ratings but these guys are brilliant and it’s not entirely their fault! Given this review was placed only an hour or so ago, we have spoken to Ben who has offered to sort the issues with ubereats, despite it not being their fault, especially on a busy Saturday night! Superb service and food! Thank you, we would recommend you highly despite this evening’s delivery experience!

I’ve just finished my second meal from here and you know when you see those people on tv making the weird noises and over enjoying their food? That was me. Both times. The food here is incredible, like really. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for the business. If you like your bbq food please, please give this place a go.

Two Burgers, one of which looked like it had been dropped, two 'bitesize' portions of pulled pork on chips (barely enough for a child) and a milkshake that was practically ice-cream in a cup. Kinda' expected more for a weekday visit. I've been before (granted not recently) and had much bigger portions that had the quality and quantity expected. On this occasion though, disappointment. £6.50 for a SMALL box of fries is excessive (IMO). Burger tasted nice, but as mentioned above, lacked presentation.

Wow what a find, local bbq in the middle of nowhere, hidden away. I picked up my order after ordering online but I noticed one of the guys instead having a good conversation with a customer talking about what food they want to order. Highly recommend. Going to be dangerous ahving this so close to me!

Absolutely gorgeous food. We had the jalapeño popper which is by far the best thing I’ve ever tasted! Those crispy tooth picks are amazing! Buffalo chicken thighs were lush and cooked to perfection ( loved the Smokey taste!) sides were perfect too, we chose bbq society for our birthday treat tonight and so glad we did, happy house all round. EDIT to previous review below: Following repeated bad experiences, I spoke directly with one of the owners of the company, who was incredibly receptive to feedback and implemented positive changes immediately. I tried BBQ Society again tonight and, I am pleased to say, it was outstanding, as it always had been before. Great food, great experience, and great owners. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Don't bother through Uber Eats. Freezing cold - cheese hadn't even melted and was still a perfect square. Burnt burger. Rubbish. This place used to be great, but it's always too busy, can't handle the volume of orders, closes too early and has all round plummeted in quality. Had to reorder from Five Guys, who somehow manage to get hot burgers out every time. This will be my last order from BBQ Society.

Ordered through Uber eats Chips were like cardboard and stone cold and then the burger was dripping with grease and cold £17 for burger and chips would of been better of with McDonald’s

Small outlet with limited seating space but the feel of one of those artisan food places you find in the box parks of Brixton and Shoreditch. Good friendly service and amazing food. Nice range of choice also even for veggies. So glad to have found this little gem 😎

The food stands up on its own, there's nothing that comes close in Gloucester if you're into burgers and BBQ. On top of the already great food, all of the team are incredible. We've had one issue with our order (which is amazing in itself considering we've been plenty of times) and Ben and the guys did everything they could to make it right. Without the service we'd be coming back again and again, but the incredible service means we will be customers for life.

Having had a bad first order using #ubereats ( as in order didn't arrive), I raised the issue with Ben. I then reordered tonight using Gloucester Eats. Food arrived piping hot, driver was friendly and my burger and chips were amazing. Thank you to Ben for quick response to my issue from before. Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Well done guys!

Another quality meal from BBQ society! Tried the new limited end iron Nik Nak burger! Was fanstasic! PB&an still my favourite but this was great! Onion rings on point again as are the fries and gravy!

This place has quickly become my favourite spot in Gloucester. Absolutely incredible food, the best burger I’ve had in a long time! They package sustainably which is an added bonus, and the care that goes into the food is evident with how delicious it all is. Definitely recommend trying the poutine fries too, and the shakes are unbeatable. 11/10 recommend.
