I don't know the bartender's name, but they are incredibly lovely. The venue is nice too! That usually helps, doesn't it?:)

Great local boozer. Louise & the guys made us all feel really welcome whilst we stayed locally for Cheltenham Festival. Highly recommend if you want an easy atmosphere while you have a game of pool and watch the football (which was played on 3 or 4 screens).

A great local British boozer. Good selection of classic beers with good prices, really pleasant atmosphere with classic pub attractions like pool. Clearly has a stable local clientele and the staff were really friendly. Really well maintained and the beer garden looks lovely.

Great old style pub you can stand at the bar unlike my local, the staff are not condescending unlike my local, you can sit at any table that is unattended unlike my local, and drugs are not rampant unlike my local Well done the Glevum.

No atmosphere, maybe some background music would help to lift the ambiance; unfortunately no parking or toilets for anyone with disabilities; there is a ramp they put out on request.

A wonderful afternoon tea, with endless pots of tea & all served on china plates. The food selection was 4 different finger sandwiches on both white & brown bread, mini cheesecakes, mini banana toffee cakes to fruit & plain scones with cream & jam. The afternoon tea is served in a room off the bar, so it was lovely & quiet. Will definitely be going back & trying the bottomless afternoon tea

Went for the cream tea with three friends. Firstly, Covid secure and adheres to all requirements with tables spaces , one way systems , ventilation and PPE. Ok that out the way - review. The dining room is painted in a lovely modern colour and is light and airy, but still retains a traditional feel. Table cloths and tea sets on the tables. A pot of tea was brought out quickly, swiftly followed by our three tiers of sandwiches (ham, tuna, egg mayo, cheese and onion, on mix of white and brown bread), scones, mini trifle/ banoffi pie, cheesecakes, mini sponges, profiteroles, and other treats! We had a lovely few hours eating and chatting , and had plenty of time to enjoy it all (although table had been booked for 3 and half hours after our arrival - so plenty of time given) we all ate plenty and there’s enough to satisfy! (Although, I’d happily have it again, I do like to see the odd mini quiche or strawberries and grapes on the tiers too? But that’s just me! ) The quality is very good - sandwiches are fresh and no hint of any of that “waiting around” staleness that I’ve had from a more expensive hotel cream tea. All sweets are homemade on the premises. Delicious! Attentive staff who checked in regularly to whether we wanted more tea / fresh pot. Always great when you don’t feel awkward having to ask! A great little pub that I’ve only just discovered . I noticed they also have a small playground for children and beer garden. Family friendly.

I was here for a Pokémon TCG event. The Cavern is a great space for events, proving a closed off area with plenty of play space. The food and drinks at the Cavern is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Visited based on google reviews and big mistake! Fully understand the concept, but service (really miserable man) and coffee (totally undrinkable) beyond poor. Better to give your money to a homeless person in the street so they can buy something for themselves instead (which is what we did as soon as we got outside).

What a lovely find. We came to celebrate a birthday as a group of 4 friends. We got the last table (recommend to book!) We took up the offer of £20 for 2 tapas & 1 side. Everything was delicious, but what stood out was the Chorizo in red wine, the squid and the belly pork. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The place has been thoughtfully decorated and is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend a visit, and don’t be put off thinking it’s “too far out” we wandered over to portivo afterwards and it’s not far.
