The Bay Seaburn in Sunderland

Probablemente el peor fish and chips que he tenido. Horrible masa, pescado bastante bonito pero patatas fritas horrible. Me temo que no volverá pronto.

Went yesturday for fish and chips, no one else in and still didn’t remember all of the order we paid for, lucky to find 3 chips that had any potato in and all rock hard crispy and burnt. Fish and fish bites batter really really dark and burnt. Quite frankly awful and went in the bin

Just had takeaway fish and chips and they were disgraceful. The chips were black and had to be thrown away. What a waste of money. I don't know how they have the nerve to serve inedible food.

Make sure your hungry for a large portion of the best fish and chips iv ever had . Nice staff nice atmosphere . We found it on trip advisor. We be back 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Very busy which I understand this time of year. But was told that I would have to wait an hour for gluten free fish as the dryer they use wasn’t on. I asked why and was told it costs money and because they are not many gluten free orders they don’t tune it on. So I have to plan when I want to have fish and chips all because of money, I was told they could use GF batter but fry it in the normal oil ( ok I’ll just be ill will I) Moral of the story if you are GF you must plan at least 24th notice that you fancy fish n chips

Fish well over cooked and chips had been re fried. Threw them all away, is this fish shop under new management?

Been today that's my 3rd visit, every time iv been the quality of the food is second to none, beautiful chunky chips, I had scampi my husband had haddock my granddaughter chicken nuggets, each & every dish was cooked to a very high standard, good has colmans in Ocean road any day & that's beautiful, please give this restaurant a try, you won't regret it. Ordered 5 fish bites and chips. Batter was sloppy inside fish quite poor.chips so fat they were like roast potatoes.

Takeaway fish and chips. So greasy and the fish wafer thin, just all greasy batter. Not good. Asked for curry and was given gravy . Will not be going again.

Fish, more batter than fish, asked for a carton of curry and got gravy and it cost £3 for it. I wont be going back!!!

Had the most strange experience in this establishment. Went in today to order sausagenand chips. They all starred at me naking me feel most uncomfortable. Im not sure whonthey thought I was. I wont be going back anyone with a nervous disposition should steer well clear

Visited today. Had the best gluten free small cod and chips. It was small one bit it was huge. The service was excellent. The staff very friendly. Would highly recommend

Decided to try the bay Seaburn as I pass pretty much all the time ……. A friend had said I must try as they do a great cheese Pattie …… so I decided to try the restaurant…… service was tremendous couldn’t fault at all ….. …. Back to food …… I had chips corndbeef pie and mushy peas with gravy 10-10

My husband and I had small fish & chips special . Meal was lovely. We asked for the bill, and the waitress said they are giving 25% off the full menu in the restaurant during the winter months as a kind gesture to help people during this difficult time who my be finding it hard financially ,with rising Cost of living . We were very touched by their very kind gesture when they must be finding it hard themselves with all the rising prices.

Lovely clean premises. Good size portions. However, A bit over priced for the standard you would expect . Not exactly the award winning Colmans at South Shields. Fish was a bit soggy inside with quite a few chip ends. Not allowed to put your own Salt and Vinegar on which is a bit strange. This was the decider for not to return.

Big portion and absolutely lovely cod and chips!! We ate in as it just started to rain and could not fault anything. We will return

Finally.. have found a fish shop that offers good quality gluten free options. Batter was thin & crispy. Really generous portion sizes. Takes about 30 minutes but we ordered over the phone and picked up. Will definitely be back.

These fish and chips are the best we have had. We throughly enjoyed them. Portion size is excellent. We would really recommend these and would definitely go back.

We called in to the takeaway for chips having walked from the Sunderland Glass Centre. They were straight out of the fryer and had lashings of salt and vinegar. What an absolute delight they were to savour. Full marks from me!
