Great selection of tasty family favourites especially the fish and chips and tikka masala went down a treat with my family. Amazing service from Sarah at the bar she recommended the samosas for our curry which was delicious and was so friendly and chatty. Would definitely come back again when visiting family in the area.

Visited with kids after busy day out and really felt welcome even though children were being annoying. Great menu selection and staff were really lovely despite the mess kids were making. Sharer desert is such a bargain and really yummy. Lovely and clean with great service

Came in the pub to have a drink and play darts with my friends the pub was nicely cleaned no sticky tables, the staff were excellent and very friendly making perfect pints. I ordered 2 sides and they were beautiful amazing food. Would recommend going down for a visit.

Used to be good, but quality seems to have took a dive, food was overcooked very greasy and not that tasty. Staff however were very friendly and service was timely. Shame that the cooking staff are not up to the required standard. I will be back, but maybe just for a drink as the pub is good.

Meant to write this last month. Have to thank the 2 Michelles for looking after us so well. I'm unable to stand in queue behind disabled and it was my wife's 1st time out after cardiac arrest in November. They told us to sit down and took orders and delivered food and drinks to us at the table. Will thank them in my usual way when next in as we missed Christmas. Thank you both.

2 meals for £11.00 what more can you ask for going in for a quick lunch go once a week at lunch time with the wife and its good value for money and nice food

Old menu in tired surroundings. We are regulars, but are getting tired of the current menu which has been the same for what seems like an eternity. The prices are very competitive and the staff are helpful. The place needs a re-vamp as it's old and the swirly carpet is awful.

We were told as soon as we arrived that is was 1.5hrs wait for food by Julian in a very angry way like we shouldn’t have come! Even though we booked! Julian you need to get some customers service skills or leave hospitality as it’s not for you. If I wanted to be spoken too like that I would have went to Karen’s diner! The food did take 1.5 hrs to come and was ok. No complaints about the food just the service. I also witnessed him been very rude to the two young girls working while he was standing on his phone leaning behind the bar.

We go every 2 weeks wuth friends from Hebburn. We used to go over there alternatively but they love it at The Bay. The quality value and service is fantastic. My only criticism is that 2 of us are disabled and it's getting harder to park near the entrance because of cars using the car park but not using the pub. Hope we don't have to stop going. Staff at the Bay are exceptional, always go above and beyond. Nothing is a bother for them and they always have a smile on there face

I was here for my birthday with several of my family members. The food was a good price, cooked nice and well presented and the place was nice and clean. I have to say again it was the front of house staff that stood out for me very helpful and polite. They never stopped so many places you go and the place is messy and the staff are stood doing nothing but definitely not here. We are back again for my sons birthday this weekend let's see if I can give 3 good reviews in a row.

This pub really deserves to do well. Food can not be faulted staff are great and service is excellent. Special mention for Michelle Roberts who worked her socks off yet always has time to speak to you.

Visited here as a family of 6 for evening meal, was fairly busy but we were seated straight away, ordered at the bar (great staff,especially the young woman behind the bar who was doing a great job) Took about 25 mins to get our starters which were great, highly recommend the sharing platter. Mains arrived about 35 minutes after this which was a nice time in between. Main meals were excellent all round. Will be back again and would highly recommend if you want good pub grub at a good price in a relaxed setting. Well done to all the staff, great service.

Waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. They worked their socks off barely stopping for 5 minutes. The food was beautiful and reasonably priced. Will 100 percent be back.

What's not to like? Lovely cosy and warm pub with great food and staff. My wife had chicken skewers and I had 14oz gammon with all that goes with it. All perfect. Callum the Assistant Manager was in charge and service was brilliant. He's a bit of a star and always cheerful.

Staff trying their best to make the Bay Horse as safe as possible. New management appears to have made a big difference since my last visit well before lock down. Our meals both cooked perfectly, and served at the table within guidelines.Our experience spiolt somewhat by a couple allowing their boys to run round tables until staff stopped the racing. And another couple on an adjoining table constantly coughing without any attempt to prevent the spread of any germs.The Bay Horse is trying its best to get back in business again but there is always going to be ignorant people in all pubs I suppose.

Family visit. Well organised under current times for safety and staff were friendly and helpful. This was the last day for the 50% discounts on food. Unfortunately the experience was let down by the quality of the food on offer. Usually this place offers good quality food but not on this occasion. I would describe it as old frozen food for a while ago defrosted and heated up. The food was not really hot and my fish was tasteless and dry inside and the batter hard and not very nice. The beef chilli meals were chewy at best and not more than warm. Burghers were ok and sweets ok but clearly frozen then reheated. All in all although staff and service quite good the food was a big disappointment. Hopefully meals will be fresher if and when we next return.

For our visit safety is at our top priority we could not believe how safe it was the staff on the door took our details. Showed us to our table explained the rules. Gave us sanatised menus and cutlery. You could see they really cared about customers safety

Lee the Manager is ensuring the pub is safe to visit and following the guidelines. Lee was on a day off when we visited but Danielle was on the door making sure everyone knew the guidelines. My haddock was lovely as was my wife's Italian butter milk chicken. We'll done Danielle Louise Michelle and Julia I think the chef.

There were 3 of us going on the government eat out to help.It was fine but you have a long wait to get served as only 1 person serving.You have to order everything together otherwise you dont get the half price offer. We ordered and paid for drinks first until we looked at the menu. So no discount. Ordered two course and paid received the offer. Only one if us wanted another course again had to pay full price. Just a shame that they didnt offer at tab at the beginning or told you you needed to order everything at the same time.The food was nice, I had scampi with mash as I cant stand frozen chips. No jackets potatoes available. The others had steak they said they were good.

I visited with my niece for a late lunch and all Covid 19 precautions were taken, track and trace, hand sanitiser on entry, designated tables and the app to order food and drinks from your phone.The staff couldn’t try harder in these times and I must say the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Visited beer garden to support our local. Never again. Staff not wearing face masks, no visible protection on bar or anywhere to be honest. Laptop provided for you to enter details for tracing purposes. Many tables dirty. Biggest problem was the lilac haired female member of staff ( had a sizzling badge on but didn’t get the name) but assume management as not in uniform, came within a foot of me and bent down to make a fuss of my dog and was literally in my face. What happened to social distancing? Appalling. Should be leading by example

Sadly lots of business who are nice to customers have lost their businesses during these times, yet ones who are still open dont care about all their customers. It's a shame and we need to replace these places with ones that do provide a good service to all.

Most tables needed clearing and tables that had been cleared were wet and dirty. Staff seemed disinterested in creating a good impression

The Bay Horse is definitely on the up again. Went for food on a Saturday evening with the family and received a fast, friendly and efficient service. The food was tasty and the pub was really busy just how it used to be. Well done to management and staff it’s a pleasure to have our favourite local back to how we once knew it - I’ll definitely be visiting more often again!

Dropped in for lunch and drinks as used the bay horse for many years, don't know what's changed, ordered food and drinks, after half an hour food turned up, wrong food, another 10 minutes, same again, ended up getting a refund.

Popped in recently for some breakfast as I have been here before and it was spot on. All of the staff very friendly especially the blonde girl behind the bar who served me my breakfast. The food did not take long to arrive and when it did it was hot, tasty and very nice. I will definitely be back again as this place is now back where it once was serving great food.....give it a try you won't regret it.....

The pub is a little dated now (.. reason for Average 3 ⭐️ rating). However, the staff & service make up for that. We hadn’t been to The Bay Horse Inn for years. We’ll certainly return & possibility have a meal next time.

I personally don’t mind waiting a long time for food when I know it’s either busy or the food I’ve ordered takes a rather long time to be prepared. However, this wasn’t the case today. Being generous, there must have only been 8 tables with people sat at them. Most of whom had already been served their food.

I can not believe the bad language that is used by the staff at the bay horse in Cramlington, especially Sharon and Michelle who think that it is ok to use the C word in front of customers.

We visited for our tea as we had stopped eating here yet again due to the horrendous wait for substandard food. However we gave it another go as we had a 30% promotion voucher. I must say, what a difference. We ordered a large all day breakfast and a sirloin steak with a jacket potato. A bottle of Bud and a pint of Carling came to less than £20. The food is honestly the best we have ever had here and arrived pretty quickly. Excellent all round.

originally i had ordered loaded surf and turf but was told i couldn’t have that (even though he couldn't tell me why). he then said i could order the standard surf and turf which was the same ingredients.... i then opted for a better steak - i ordered a rib eye because i like a juicy steak and i ordered it medium. i did ask if i could pay extra for scampi to be added but was told no.

Visited with my sister & Dad for a early dinner! Haven’t been in a long time so didn’t know what to expect.

My daughter recently turned 18, she suffers from anxiety and this was her first venture out to a pub on her own. She sat outside with a few friends and went to the bar to buy her first alcoholic drink, she then went to order another once she had finished and joined her friends at the table outside-again, most of her friends were not drinking alcohol. After sitting down with her friends a young bar maid came outside and grabbed her drink and walked back into the pub stating that her friends were trying to drink it?? My daughter explained that they weren’t and an older couple sitting next to them said no one was drinking her drink but the bar maid took the drink and poured it down the sink. Fortunately my daughter asked to speak to the manager and she explained the situation and reiterated that her friends were not trying to drink her drink, she asked for a refund. The manager just shouted at her and refused to give her money back.

I haven’t been into this pub for some time mainly because the service was poor , the food was always delayed and of a poor quality.

We stopped off on a Friday teatime, we managed to get a table, however it quickly filled up.

A real good relaxed pub, bar staff go out of the way to help,management always on hand and visible excellent for the disabled. The food is very good and the portion,s are BIG with a good menu selection. A large beer garden children friendly

Excellent PUB GRUB and for 9 persons the pub actually allows taking bookings which some others do not. Seats in conservatory were idea and a good grass area outside for kids to play. Food was excellent and service very good. Great value and thoroughly enjoyable visit again.
