As long as the young lady cooks them chips thoroughly this shop will survive

Reheated chips, how'd you know? colour, colour, and colour again. It's way too dark for a first fry. Fish? Reheated or decided to throw itself into the net. So dried out, it was either very old or reheated, perhaps both? Looks like it's back to cook your own. At least you can control quality and portion sizes. Did I mention the fish was albut the size of a large fish finger? All a big pity, really. Last time they were lovely. Quality control perhaps is the main issue for the owner!

Ordered fish & chips x2 and both chips under cooked 6.15pm so not that busy

Lady was freindly who served me. Bought sausage & chips , pie & chips tonight, chips tasted like they had been re-heated & put in the fryer twice as they were dark & hard & sausage was pink under cooked, what a waste of £10 our valentine meal not, it was put in the bin. Only thing that was eaten was the pie & that wasn't that warm but at least it was edible. My Phone needed charging so couldn't phone the chippy to complain as the shop was closed

Fish was cooked fresh, as were the chips the service you could not fault. The young ladies behind the counter were brilliant

Good location on the Bath Road with a small car park & on road parking. Quick service with plenty of staff working. I had cod, chips & a small tub of baked beans and all the items were hot and well cooked. The battered fish was perfect, as were the chips. Recommended & I would use again.

This has been our go-to for many years. Son recently back for a visit from US & wanted F&C which he can't get done well on the states. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Early evening, around 5.30pm, all 3 fish & chips were dry & tasteless. Think fish must have been sitting fir some time, chips for sure were not fresh cooked. Shame as it was good in the past.

Good gluten free options, food has been a bit hit and miss. The one time slightly under (cooked but not crispy batter). The next time the chips were so hot they melted the packaging they came in.

Got food the windows was all steamed up looks so Offputting for food the place stinks of rotten egg or something genuinely disgusting my Saveloy was microwaved and the chips was cold. I'm appalled

We use this chippy regularly every week ,but this Saturday 28th Nov was totally disappointing !!.we had a sausage and fish and chips as per usual this week though the FISH was the same width and length as the sausage !!!! .obviously the owner trying to get more profit by ripping off the customers .It was the skinniest fish we had ever seen and they were all that size in the cabinet they cost enough as it is !!!!!!!!!.Obviously we will not return and look for a more value for money chippy .SHAME ON YOU

We've had fish & chips from here several times & they have always been..ok. However, tonight, not only had the prices rocketed, £7.80 for a piece of fish!! But the fish was so very dry it was almost hard, & the batter was like chewing concrete. I feel that it must of been sitting under the heater for hours. Not good enough. I expect a decent meal for the amount of my hard earned money they are now demanding. I didn't return the fish as I had just got in from a long day & really couldn't face the walk back again. I'm afraid they have lost a customer

Ordered and delivered to st John's area within the hour ordered on a Friday night at 6.30pm. We had chicken meat and chips and I would say they were the hottest, freshest chips I have had from a chippy, not greasy, and cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and fluffy centres. The chicken kebab meat was delicious, succulent chicken with a nice crispy cooked edge. The was more than enough but not a ridiculous size portion. I will be returning and would recommend to anyone.

Quick service and well prepared food.

Great to have a place that does gluten-free options. Either the fish sizes vary greatly or I was accidentally given regular size fish - it was half the size of the gluten free one that was already boxed up. Fortunately I got large chips and there was plenty there to make me feel full. Unfortunately the chips were quite soft and a bit mashed.

Found the staff Very Rude!, and would Definitely go as far as to say RACIST!! this is the second,and last time i have been to this shop, and the reception from the same female staff on both occasions has been COLD! The food was quite nice if im honest, but RACISM leaves a bad taste in my mouth! would DEFINITELY NOT recommend to ANYONE of colour....EVER!!!! Zero stars for Service, and Atmosphere, and that's being generous.

Bath road chippy gone from fair to bad large cod don't think it is cod but £9.30 chips £4.50 curry sauce £1.50 can of coke £1.50 Total cost £16.80 will not be calling there again not bothered if they go out of business it's greed

They have a lot food you can pick from. There is car parking outside. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good food has well

Have a mixed meat and chips last night only thing I had eaten all day and none stop on the toilet not very clean in there either sorry but I won’t be returning again disappointed

Well cooked food, love the chios, kids love the kids meals and the curry sauce!!

Did an on line order as I was at work and couldn't leave when food arrived part of order was missing I rang them straight away and was told it was their mistake but could not rectify as we used a delivery company and the only thing they could do was for us to contact delivery company and get a refund I explained this did not give me my full meal but there was nothing else they could do with no offer of them delivering rest of order I had to admit defeat for this reason as they can't guarantee they won't mess up again I won't be ordering from them again

Absolute beautiful food, best chip shop for miles and the only 1 I'll be using, not only do you get plenty but it's cooked perfect wish I could give more stars

Be careful with the gluten free food if you are a celiac. I ordered from them and got sick minutes after eating. Cross contamination is a possibility.

Great food at great prices. The staff are very friendly and I've had no issues with any food I've had there, from fish & chips, to burgers, to doner meat. Prices are very reasonable, in some cases quite a bargain for what you get! There's lots of choice, added the most recent menu to this review that was obtained on my most recent visit. Kids meals, adult meals and everything between. I do recommend going earlier than later if you plan on getting dinner as it gets very busy!

Average chippy not bad but nothing stood out either.

Visited twice in March 2021 for the first time in months. I must say it has improved soo much from the last time. I would now recommend bath road chippy. Well done guys keep up the good work

Ordered fish and chips for family. Waited an age for the fish to be cooked so expected everything to be fresh. Chips were mushy as hell, fused together. Fish also small and uninspiring. Will avoid until improvements are made.

Ordered from her hundreds of times but the last two meals from here have been shocking!! The staff are different and the quality of the food or how they cook has changed. The chips were more like mash potato than chips as they were all mushy and the kebab meat was dry and crispy!! We thought it was a one off but happened again so would not go back here again which is a shame!!!

We regularly get our fish and chips from here - always very decent food. Chips are particularly nice, proper chip shop chips and the fish is a decent portion.

Just had mini fish and chips. Fish old dry and chewy. 17.30 so must have been left from lunch. A disgusting habit and probably breaches food hygiene. Ate at home 4 miles away otherwise id have taken back.. chips ok.

First impression wasn't great, the ladies behind the counter were not very friendly and the food was quite expensive. However, very generous portion sizes! The fish was was good. Chips were a bit soggy but overall decent quality.

After Ambleside shut we had to find another chippy and keep hearing that Bath road chippy is the best, so we gave it a go, The chips were soggy and had so many bad bits on them i threw most of them away , the doner meat had no taste, and the fish was greasy

Fish and chips are more than just a traditional English mean, they conjure up expectations, trigger memories and most people can tell you where to get the best. Bath Road Chippy is close to being excellent and when the boss is around, the difference is noticeable. The staff are pleasant and chatty and portions are very good for the money. I have read the reviews and to be honest, never had a bad meal, only an average or excellent. It is the consistency that counts so I hope they read the reviews. Keep the batter crisp, cook the fish to order and dont let the chops go soggy and become a mush. It is all about fast cooking of fresh food.The potential is there and I will continue to buy from Bath Road Chippy. If I ever get the undercooked chips and soggy, overcooked fish, I will revise my review and shop elsewhere but let's give what is good, the chance to be great!

We keep making the mistake of giving this place another chance, and the remembering why we shouldn’t, Yet again raw chips, and overlooked hard fish,

I was so happy to find this place! One of the things I have missed the most since having to go gluten free is fish and chips, but this chippy has come to the rescue. The portions are huge, they have a separate fryer for their GF orders, so there is no risk of getting ill. I will be back! (P.s. one thing that would make it even better would be gluten free curry sauce... a girl can dream!)

Do you want some chips with your grease? That’s what I was thinking as I unwrapped the chips, the fish cake was no better and the mini fish was grey and greasy. Why can’t chip shops make nice crispy fluffy chips and proper batter anymore! still looking for a decent chippy in Worcester.

Normally a fantastic chippy, josh, Danny and the team are ace and the food is lush!!! But since they have employed a new fryer the food has gone down hill, during the week if josh is frying then it’s perfect. But this new guy is terrible!! Didn’t even have enough fish fried on a Friday night!!! Luckily the girls customer service kept everyone happy

Good quality food and very large portions. Service is great. Good range of food available. Cooked fresh and not hanging about on hot plates. I love their curry sauce.

New people running the chippie, please ignore all previous reviews, they have gone down hill in a big way. Portions are about half what they were and the prices have gone up quite a bit. Chips are small and scrappy.

My parents live round the corner from The Bath Road Chippy and we use it on average once a month.

I had two Large cod, and a small cod 5:10pm. And a regular chip's. I will not return as £8 for 2 large cod which and although it was loin there just was not enough and the small Cod tasted stale, and I doubt if it was cod.

Best chips ever. Really friendly staff. Worth every penny. Cheesy chips were delicious. Was only passing through and popped. Will definitely be stopping there again.

Best fish and chips in Worcester, cooked fresh, staff pleasant and friendly, plenty to choose from, if you don't fancy a big fish and chips, try the mini fish and chips meal deal, you get a free tub of baked beans, gravy or curry sauce with it.

Esta fue la primera y la última vez que he utilizado este local "fish and chips" y me decepcionó con su pastel de pollo y champiñones y patatas fritas. Mientras que la cantidad de fichas que servían era grande, eran muy insípido y soso. El pollo y pastel de hongos no miran o sabor como un pukka tarta. Había un extraño tono naranja a la abundante. La pastelería era recocido y en general fue una comida muy decepcionante. Realmente no debería ser demasiado difícil para proporcionar un buen pescado y chip, o tarta y cena con chip, pero muchos luchan para llevar a hacerlo.

The fish and chip specials are amazing value. For little over £3.50 you can buy fish and chips and mushy peas. The fish isn't huge but there is more than enough to satisfy a normal appetite. Staff are very attentive and helpful.

This is an above average Fish and Chip shop. Nice friendly staff, easy access, well produced food, the fish and Chicken meat kebab are perfect. If I have one complaint its that they take the Chips out too early, its because they're always busy but those extra 2 minutes would make all the crispy difference.

called in on the off chance and had the fish and chips.I was starving and intended having a large portion of chips.so glad i never as the you get loads with just the normal size.fish was also very large but cooked perfect and was suprised to find a slice of lemon on top,which i really enjoyed.So glad i pulled up and will be there again very soon.Its located on the right leaving the city with its own car park,next to a chinese take a way.

Always welcoming and pleased to serve. I usually have either a plaice or a haddock; more than ample portions beautifully cooked and always served with a slice of lemon. By my reckoning, the best fish and chip shop in Worcester

Must be one of the best 'chippies' around. The fish & chips is enormous, and enough to share for two people. Nicely cooked, and served by a friendly team! Always excellent quality.

The 'steak and kidney' pie I had only had two pieces of steak and no kidney - that's not just false advertising it is a clear message that this shop buys VERY cheap supplies. My husband chose a chicken and mushroom pie which when he cut into it, was completely desiccated inside. This would indicate that there is no system in place to know how long their pies have been out.This chip shop used to pride itself on providing the best chips in Worcester... we waited for chips tonight so they were 'fresh'. They were also very hard. It seems that this review is at odds with others but unfortunately it was our experience. Reviews on their walls give testimony to happy customers with the food and service but perhaps they didn't try the pies...

This place has improved so much since being taken over. Staff are super friendly. Food always fresh. Plus they take card payments. Not our closest chippy but will go out of my way to use!!

The guys at The Bath Road Chippy are spot on - we have not had a bad meal in the 18 months we have used them regularly - well done !!We do stick to fish but everything else on offer looks great too

A bit cheeky saying "best gravy in town" but it really is. This chippy is really good - they have a good selection of things to eat and it is always cooked great - very friendly staff too always got a smile and a nice word to say. It's not just a chippy but a really good chippy.

On the way back from a trip to the theatre or cinema or late. Isn't shopping in Worcester, this is the best chippy around! A clean establishment, good quality food, generous portions, quick service and parking right outside. What more could you want, when only fish & chips will do?!

Cannot fault this Fish & Chip shop, great, great chips, lovely large white cod in crispy batter, it is all delicious, and we regard ourselves as fortunate to live close to this great chippy!!
