Pizza Express in Worcester

Had a lovely experience here. The food was amazing but its not very filling! Or maybe that's just me being greedy! 🤣 The quality of food was lovely however the service is longer than expected, just for some coffees, so we didn't get chance to get them. However the overall visit was lovely. Staff very lovely, the inside decor is lovely. Do feel you don't get much personal space in the booths. You can hear and stare awkwardly at the person right next to or almost opposite you. Quite uncomfortable.

Nice location with views of the cathedral. Not too busy. Service was quick. Quite expensive though, especially a bottle of basic Rose wine at £23.

Food service was amazing and the meal itself was great. Our server Cody was very helpful at explaining things on the menu to my friend!

Just had a delivery and it's the worst one me and my partner experienced. Missing a pizza from our deal which cost us £40 and the food was literally stone cold. Tried to phone to explain but only met by a bot, I get it's bank holiday but it's not hard to pick up a phone

I dined in this restaurant last Thursday evening with a friend who was visiting me from Newcastle. We decided to try this venue because alternative restaurants were busy. Luck was on our side and we had a lovely experience in terms of food and service. We both had Pizza "La Reine" with thick crust and a bottle of crisp New Zealand wine which hit all the right spots with its fruity notes. The pizza was simple and delicious which we washed down with the lovely wine. For dessert we ordered sorbets. The young lady serving us made a mistake with the order but it was very quickly corrected by the young, efficient and professional manager called Pavel. He was extremely attentive and gave my friend an extra scoop of sorbet which was a kind gesture and a way of apologising for the mix-up in the dessert. The sorbets were refreshing and to die for. They rounded off a cosy, relaxing evening in a welcoming atmosphere with music that did not intrude upon our conversation or dinner. Thank you very much to the lady who served us and especially Pavel who was so attentive. Well done everyone!

Mum and I had a very quick lunch here on Maundy Thursday having attended the Cathedral Service . Mum had chicken Milanese salad , I had Pollo Pesto . With the roads still being closed after the Queen’s visit, getting a taxi to Foregate Station with my 81 year old mum proved problematic . However , Pavel went out of his way to ensure we made our train home to Cheshire on time !! Bravo Pavel , thank you for looking after me and mum after our wonderful morning receiving Maundy Money !!

It was a spur of the moment decision and was a very pleasant experience the food was delicious.

We dined here last night (20th March) for the start of my mother’s 80th birthday weekend celebrations. We were looked after all evening by the lovely male manager in a Pink Check Shirt (I can’t remember his name sorry). My mother is hard of hearing but he was very helpful and patient with her explaining the food and menu in detail. The food was as excellent as the service. Thank you to the manager and the rest of the staff for starting her special occasion perfectly.

Great authentic Italian style pizza

We had "Pavel" as our server for our food yesterday and he was brilliant! There's nothing he wouldn't do for us. He even helped us with the pizza express app and was very kind. Our food was delicious and lots of vegan options, the food came very fast too! We'll be back! Thanks for amazing service.

Don’t know why it lets you book a table at a time when the restaurant is shut. Just turned up to our booking and they’re not even open

Went to Pizza Express before the light show for a bite to eat as was last minute plans. The team were all friendly in there. Gus, was very accommodating us despite it being very busy and no rear action being made. Callum our waiter was lovely and was very quick to take our order. Likewise he was also very attentive throughout the time we were there and made us feel welcomed and valued. The food was delicious and was piping hot, something you rarely get in places these days. The offering on the menus was extensive and very well priced. Will defiantly be returning again.

The only good thing about this particular pizza express was the wonderful Catolina. Her attention to detail and personality were amazing but unfortunately that's was the only good thing as her attitude wasn't continued by other staff members. Ordered 2 main course one had 3 items missing the other order wrong pizza and tepid. We were told the girl who did our food in training well surely there should have been someone checking before it was delivered to tables. Long hair not contained under any hairnets no headgear or gloves worn either. The table of 3 people next to us sent 2 out of their 3 main courses back as found hair in them. The kitchen service sloppy too much chatting with the just eat drivers not enough attention to the food they were preparing. Restaurant cold. Definitely would not return here . We visit pizza express a lot locally and when away and this is the first one that has ever disappointed us. Have always left a tip and did not this time which meant Catolina missed out

Food we ordered were good. the main things put me off is the service, it is off peak time when we visited, not busy at all. But staffs were not very attentive at all. i had to keep constantly raising my arm and trying to get their attention to order. After main meals, our kids were expecting dessert, but i bet they completely forgot. We’d been waited for ages and had to remind them. I usually go to pizza express often, i love food but the service i received today put me off. I don’t think i will go that place again

Lovely place to have lunch in. The food is really good and Pavel who waited on us was so charming. Chatty and welcoming but not invasive. Asset to the place. Won't hesitate to go again.

Can’t beat pizza express really and was incredibly yummy! The only thing that was different was the garlic butter at this particular restaurant with the dough balls, but overall so good! The staff were so lovely and atmosphere was 10/10!

Ruby was a fantastic outstanding waitress she was lovely and welcoming with a beautiful smile i will definitely come back

My husband and I had our anniversary lunch here and it was our first visit to this branch. Our waitress, Karolina restored our faith in the service industry by being very efficient, helpful with dietary advice and friendly with a warm smile. I think restaurants forget that a big part of the dining experience is the quality of service and we felt really looked after. It’s been such a long time since we’ve had choice of gluten free vegetarian food on the menu, a choice of several small desserts. The pizzas were great too. My only observation was that my classic pizza was a lot smaller than the other branches, particularly in Manchester where they were noticeably bigger. It was still good though, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. In fact, I’ve already rebooked. Don’t miss their coffee either, it’s proper stuff!

Brought my son and his friends to pizza express for a birthday treat. Service ridiculously slow, waiting staff taking orders and not delivering the food. Other staff taking orders after a long wait. Constant stream of delivery drivers collecting food and leaving the door open making the restaurant freezing cold for the customers. It’s obvious Deliveroo and just eat take priority over customers dining in. We just cancelled our dessert order and left. Go to ASK next door, probably better experience.

Food came quick. Family friendly. Staff were lovely. Food was tasty. What more do you need. It git very busy so glad we got there at 12. Toilets are downstairs so for a mom/ dad wanting to change baby was difficult. No disabled toilets which I thought was odd.

Table booked for 7pm took til 7.30 to order a drink and food at 8.10 we still hadn't received food,cutlery or anything even starters Then 3 of the 7 meals arrived not the starters the main meals ! Couldn't eat them as no cutlery and that took 4 asks Manager disinterested he then went behind the counter in the clothes he had been wearing to wipe down dirty tables and with no apron started making food Girl making pasta spent more time messing with her hair and using the same hands to grab handfuls of cooked pasta to put in bowls Food arrived cold and sent back Still waiting 30 minutes later But the takeaways just kept flowing out of the door Just a shocking disappointing evening.

Had a great evening tonight. Served at a good speed, not too quick but didn’t feel like we were waiting. Food was hot, Karolina was by far the best server we have had there at PE worcester. You need to keep hold of that one because she’s excellent!

We were served by Ruby. Very attentive smiley and polite. Food was ordered promptly considering how busy they were. We booked on line last minute and we’re pleased to be accommodated so promptly.

We had a good time as always at Pizza Express, and everything was as expected even though we were just passing through the town and booked on the go. Kids menu options are always a huge plus for our family.

Absolutely disgusted!!!! My partner found plastic in her pizza. I stated clearly I wasn't going to make a fuss. I simply wanted to create awareness of this potentially dangerous issue. I didn't even suggest the idea of a discount and remained completely respectful despite our justified disappointment. On leaving we hadn't even received acknowledgement of this issue from management. Absolutely terrible service and unprofessionally handled when simple and basic customer service would have been sufficient and satisfactory. Will not return or recommend. 0 stars!!

The restaurant was extremely busy as was the Victorian fayre. The service was still around to none and food was bought out speedy. Massive well done to Gus and the team

Located opposite the Cathedral in a pleasant square I can see this would be a great place to eat outside in the Summer. But in November the welcome was warm and the service was prompt. The food was tasty and arrived quickly. A very pleasant lunch with friends from out of town.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, was seated straight away with the restaurant about half full, however 25 mins later no one had come to us to even ask for drinks

fantastic experience would recommend, staff is lovely and friendly. My server was ruby and really did make my experience soo much easier she was really helpful throughout the whole meal.

I went with my family and the service was great, really good communication especially with our server named Ruby, will definitely come again as the food was delicious!

Great place, and great food as always. Nice staff and helpful with a kitchen error of one of our meals. Pizza did take a while to come as usual. It's a shame our family knows this chain as 'Pizza Slow'. Very expensive, especially if you don't use the app.

Visted the Worcester site after the cinema around 20:30. Absolute silence from the member of staff who met us! Just took menus and laid them on the table. Shame because all else was fine. App claimed the table did not exist, but after 3 go's, it worked. It was not really a great introduction to this chain, but the food made up for it.

The team made every effort to make our experience great. They communicated well, and organised the bills per family which was superb since there were 29 of us. They also presented and served our birthday cake for everyone. Bravo :)

What a lovely afternoon! Probably the best pizza we've ever eaten at Pizza Express! The Worcester team were great, quick service, cold drinks and a great atmosphere. The chefs were amazing, everything was super tasty.

Had a lovely meal. The sloppy giuseppe romana is my absolute favourite!

Visited on a bank holiday for lunch. We've visited before and always enjoyed our meal, but this time we thought the food was even better than usual. We ended up having 3 courses and every course was delicious. Service was good and everything arrived within a reasonable time. Will definitely return soon.

Service started a little slow waiting a while to be seated, it was a Friday night, then was another little while before someone came to take the order but the girl looking after us was lovely and food and drinks came very quickly once order, everything was delicious and hot

Regular visitors here, really nice place, staff are really friendly and helpful even when on a busy shift. Pizza is great too and the restaurant’s in a good location.

Absolutely vile food, burnt pasta lasagna was poor 2 layer of pasta very little meat and very tomatoie when spoke to manager he said he doesn't have a say in ingredients. Left to go back to our car and we was sick

Very mediocre. Waiting staff very friendly but the chefs were INSANELY slow considering there were literally only four tables occupied. They were just standing around gormlessly and took 30 minutes to produce 4 lukewarm dough balls. It remains unclear how they could possibly make the process of placing these items on a plate take so long. They also had no gluten-free pizza bases which was hugely annoying considering we told staff on arrival one of our party needed gluten-free food; they waited until at least 5 minutes after we’d placed our order to tell us this. Very underwhelming.

The pizza is great but it is a little bit small, it will be better if the pizza is bigger

The Manager was off hand and did not deal with our issues... We asked for an extra well cooked pizza... Did not happen... We asked to ensure our choices were Coriander free and this was not confirmed... My regular Margherita pizza was covered in pepper... Manager claimed it was Oregano.... We had been to this restaurant many times but all of the staff have left and this was the result!!

Consistently excellent standard over many years. Polite, attentive staff. Outside seating if wished. VG menu offering loads of choices. Manager (French - Gus?) good memory for faces - inspires confidence. Overall, as usual, a delightful experience - once again!

I would just like to say a big thank you to the manager Gus at Pizza Express Worcester and all the staff for making our evening really enjoyable. We were a booking of 42 people and the service, food and staff were all brilliant. Thank you from all of us.

This is a mockery of Pizza Express! 2 tables in at half 5 and took 35 minutes for starters. Don’t visit, simple.

Good food in a spacious restaurant. Mâtre d’ was highly competent and welcoming, but the table staff were a bit lacking albeit nice. I wanted some sugar with my £2.75 espresso and waited so long I got up and found some myself, then realised I needed a spoon as well. Son wanted a dessert it but we waited so long to get someone’s attention we gave up and just paid the bill. Could be so much better and should be for the price.

Slow service, definitely not express in anything done, 3.40 for a small bottle if coke seems expensive, burnt ends to a pizza expensive sides when they turned up. Would I go again .no

Food was luke warm, order was missing an item… Tried to call up and tell them, 6 straight calls and all rang out. Not good.

Went here for my 17th birthday today as i knew how good this place was, we were served by the most gorgeous person with dyed hair who was really sweet and made the day better. Really happy we came here

Upon checking the website I went in there and I asked for a Quatro formaggi pizza -take away. Sadly I found out that that's part of the old menu so they don't offer it anymore (one of the guys that I asked first didn't even know what that is!) One of the staff was very helpful and prepared for me an "all cheese pizza" instead which was very tasty. Waiting time was normal but when I went in there I asked another staff that was cutting the pizza for me to add a garlic dip or chilli or whatever and guess what I got: some plain sunflower oil!!! What did she think I would do with it?! Overall, I was happy with my pizza, but I felt there was a bunch of lads not knowing what to do!

Pizza express is always fantastic and we went tonight for our anniversary and I have to commend the waitress Ruby. A lovely young lady who is great at waitressing has a beautiful smile and a great manner with the customers. Great to see young people working hard and being motivated to do so. Thanks Ruby

We recently visited for lunch. The restaurant was quite busy, probably around 60 people. However, both men's and women's toilets in disrepair and advised to use a single disabled toilet. Queues evident throughout the lunch. I raised issue with a member of staff and they said they'd been waiting 14 days for a plumber to make a repair. I thought this was a poor show given that this a mulri million pound business. Haven't they heard of emergency call outs?

Food was great service shockingly slow and inept. It seems to be a sign of the times that since covid the service and hospitality industry has yet to recover.

Had a good evening out, my pizza was quite nice and crispy on the outside. Really big pieces of chicken so good value for money there. At first I wanted a King Prawn pizza but they didn’t have any Prawns in stock which is a shame otherwise I would have given it a 5/5

I visited with my two kids for a pre-Christmas lunch. It was a spontaneous visit and when we got there I noticed it was much busier than usual. The person check-in counter seemed quite stressed so it wasn't the warmest welcome. He seemed a little annoyed even. The lady that served us once we were seated was absolutely lovely though. We had a starter and shared a pizza, both were really nice. The pizza had cooled down considerably when it arrived. Honestly, normally I wouldn't have liked that but as I was visiting with two small children it was actually pretty convenient. I used the app to pay - again, very convenient! We will definitely visit again soon, maybe on a less busy day.

We went when the city had a christmas light switch on as it was the only place with spaces available for a reasonable time on our way home, and it was very busy, but the food was with us within 20 minutes of arriving. Thank you to the amazing team!

My first ever trip to pizza express and I wasn't disappointed. We were seen to by the staff very quickly. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was lovely. The whole group enjoyed. The dessert in particular was a crowd pleaser. It was a bit loud and crowded, as it was crowded the staff did keep bumping into my wheelchair which was unfortunate. I'd definitely go back though.

I have visited Pizza Express in all sorts of towns over many years and found the food to be consistently good. The last time I came to Pizza Express in Worcester was over nine months ago. Our last experience was good and this visit was the first time I have found this chain disappointing. When we arrived and about three thirty in the afternoon only one table was occupied and the restaurant was chilly. We were served quickly and both ordered a light pizza with extra toppings namely olives and mushrooms. That added eight pounds to the bill. The extra toppings were hardly noticeable and certainly not worth the price paid. Whilst we were eating we noticed our server walking out of the door wearing a coat . I was surprised and wondered who would serve us in her absence. Ten minutes later she returned and brought us the dessert menu. Strange. My partner's coffee was cold and she took the cost of the coffee off the bill. My pizza was tasty enough but it was cool also. I notice that there are several recent good reviews. I would expect good reviews for this chain. However, I shall not return until the Spring when the weather warms up. I shall not let this one disappointing experience put me off Pizza Express for ever.

The quality here dropping like flies in every aspect. At least I got a mild food poisoning. I recommend this place if you want to have a few days off work...

Hadn't booked anything, arrived in Worcester after a hideously slow journey up through South West. Picked Pizza Express in the hope of something not too expensive and not too carbs/fast food/junk. Was NOT disappointed! Vegan Nourish Bowl was just the ticket, and a glass prosecco. Busy half term Friday night, nice buzz in the restaurant, chirpy pleasant service. Partner had simple mushroom stone baked, which was delicious, light, and a good size. I enjoyed an espresso martini for dessert. We were both very taken with the coffee/little dessert combination - the Biscoff cheesecake was delightful. Would deffo recommend

Food was delicious and they catered really well for our toddler. Easy to park for with the huge car park out the front and an ideal place to grab some dinner en route home. Would definitely go again if we were in the area!

Always get a great service and food

Popped in for lunch with partner today. We ordered a pasta dish each. 50 mins later still no food. People who had came in after us were already eating. Asked the waiter who didnt think it urgent enough to go and see where it was immediately. Called on another waiter to ask what was going on. The reply was it will probably be another 5 mins because the chef had forgot to put it in the oven !?! we told them dont worry we were leaving and refused to pay for the 2 soft drinks we had. On the way out we informed the man who looked like he was in charge of the situation who didnt really seem that bothered. Unless he was so surprised he didnt know what to say.

Ordered for delivery at 17.15 for an order of nearly 90 quid, still no food at 19.05, also no phone call or text to explain and they don't answer the phone. To say I'm utterly disgusted by this level of customer service is an understatement. My family will not have a Saturday tea now and we all go hungry. I suggest going to domino's pizza or buying one from tesco. It'd be quicker if I flew to Italy for dinner.

Austerity pizzas! Spent just over 50quid on a delivery for 2, pizzas were tiny, cold and chewy. £12 Salad was basic and dips were terrible. Calamari was alright. Still hungry at the end. Avoid.

Friendly staff. New menu and drink options. Outdoor and indoor seating. Good rewards programme. Clean. Would visit again.

Really good service, trainee waiter did well. It was useful knowing he was in training too. The diner on table next to us was giving him a hard time about caramelised onions or something equally critical, but he was polite and responsive towards her. Lovely food and clean restaurant. Will visit again.
