Fantastic freshly made cakes and well filled healthy rolls. Very reasonable prices. Best place I've been to for a long while.

I stopped here for breakfast whilst working in Hackney at the nearby Round Chapel. The cafe has a very uninteresting and run-down exterior that belays it’s culinary innards. Originally I was after just a regular cafe, but here they had a more up-market offering. My scrambled eggs on toast came on sourdough, with a side garnish of salad with a liberal amount of sliced olives and dressing. The Oat mocha was delicious as well. The cafe is quite large when you go inside and ideal for a breakfast meeting or catch up. If you are just taking away don’t miss out o the excellent selection of pastries.

So this in my opinion a definite hidden gem of the area, prices are great (also part of the eat out to help scheme). The pizza's and calzones are really good as well as their pastries etc. Staff are attentive and on the ball.... Even when the place is empty, and are accommodating.... Which in my opinion go to show how good this place is. So let's talk food.... In my latest visit I ordered a Spinach and goat cheese calzones... It looked great when it arrived with nice charring (if you're a foodie you'll know what I mean). Also it was well seasoned which might not mean alot to some of you but to me it's a sign of attention to detail and the chef actually having a decent palette, because I'm sure many of us have been to restaurants where food may look great but blander than tap water. He's how you know, the crust from the sides tasted nice.... I mean come on, when could you say the crust tasted nice. Anyway I also ordered a milkshake, they normally sell single flavoured shakes but I asked if I could have a blend of strawberry and banana and he made it happen. Taste wise it tastes like something you would make at home in your blender.... Take that as you will. Overall food and customer service was on point. And that's all I really care about. So well done to these guys.... Go support them if you're in the area... I think you'll also agree its pretty decent for what it is..

We came here for weekend brunch the other day - we’ve walked by the cafe previously and stopped for coffee once but this was the first time we stopped for food. We had two savoury crepes, a pizza and a ciabatta sandwich - all of which were good (although not amazing). We also had an apple crumble cake - which sadly looked better than it tasted (was a bit stodgy!). In general, we really liked the relaxed vibe of the cafe and would come again if we’re in the area during lunchtime - but wouldn’t come here especially for it.

Nourriture correcte.

Good selection of hot and cold food. Impressive toasted sandwiches, pizza, pasta and eggs feature on this Mediterranean inspired menu. Table service is an added bonus as most outlets are grab and go locally. The eggs benedict is recommended, as are the savory crepes and the pizza. The homemade lemonade was a bit tart but the fresh coffee good. One criticism would be the open display of cakes in the window which extend right up to the door. They do not have any protection from people coming in or out, they are exposed to the dirt and pollution wafting in off of Mare St and I once saw a finger swipe in one of the cup cake toppings.

We come here whenever we are in the area. The coffee and the pannis are fresh and tasty. The veggie breakfast is nice though I was disappointed there were no vine tomatoes as on the menu it was a lonely tomato. Staff are friendly and they do a buy 6 get I free hot drink. You just get it stamped each time you go in. Worth a visit.

Find myself in the area and popped in for breakfast. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon on rye toast. All cooked fresh and the eggs were not all dried out and over-cooked like places do. Yum

Do not come here. The Waiter was clearly stoned!! He told us we couldn’t have salad because they don’t serve them after 3pm.... which it didn’t say on the menu. We ordered 2 pizzas which it took him a while to get right. After 30 mins our drinks still hadn’t come and they brought us 2 pizzas which weren’t ours! We had to go up and get our own drinks in the end. The apple juice was warm. The next table who came in after us got their food before us. After 40 mins we went up again and they said it was coming again!! Then we saw them serving SALAD!! They had told us we couldn’t have any!! There were ANTS crawling in the table and the wall. After 50 mins we left. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!! Will never go back. Not even an apology!!! if I could give a zero I would have!!

Pop in for lunch for our break during the nearby beer brewing course. The two ciabatta dishes were absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked and prepared. And the service was quick and efficient. Must go there again!

Chicken Cesar salad is very nice, but better portion size when eating in than take out. Pizzas are tasty too and the selection of tarts and cakes are tantalising although a little pricey. Cinnamon and apple crumble tart is to die for.
