Great traditional pub.. Very friendly staff and great service. A1+

Went to watch the football and got some food there. The food was amazing but unfortunately the drinks tasted strange from the tap. Good food though so can’t complain.

Chip shop platter is awesome, the staff are great, the landlord is one of the best around, great pub.

Decent food, great atmosphere and staff that never fail to greet you with a genuine smile and help you feel welcome!

Literally no good for families with young chiodren. The bad language from all areas is terrible and the staff do nothing.

What can I say , I was shocked to see how small the fish I had was. A part from that nice pub.

I came alone as I'd booked a table for 2 for Sunday roast and the other person cancelled. I was reluctant to go alone but braved it. I had a lovely roast beef dinner, glass of wine with a rather scrummy salted caramel ice cream cake desert and latte to follow. The food was hot, plenty of it and nicely served. HAYLEY and the other barmaid were so friendly and made me feel very welcome. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Fantastic pub, excellent service. served straight away, even though the bar area was busy. Food exceptional and good value. Found the place to be tidy and well kept. Manager was serving at the time, Mick. Thank you for your time I will be returning

A nice enough pub but nothing special. The food was good but had to wait an hour for our meals. I think we should have been told about the wait when we ordered.

Used to be a good place but when you hear a manager yelling at his staff it makes you wonder.

CHRISTMAS DINNER MENU Table was set on looking lovely on Christmas place mats crackers table decs, food was amazing especially the prawns and the roast turkey dinner was spot on meant was so tender. We occasionally visit the barleycorn and enjoy it's welcoming atmosphere and access to love sport and reasonably priced drinks through the greenking sports app promotions. Spoke with the landlord Mick about hosting my 70th birthday party at the pub as we had enquired with a few other local venues and they all quoted prices that were too expensive. Mick allowed us to reserve one side of the pub (for roughly 35 people) free of charge. We bulk ordered some food for the guests which arrived exactly when requested. We also enquired about buying a drink for all our guests and were provided with raffle tickets to hand out on the day. Mick went beyond our expectations and even provided some decorations for the birthday party.

Enjoyed a festive meal with Family and was very pleased with Food. Such good value and the Staff worked hard to ensure we enjoyed our night.

Popped in for a coffee/coke with friends as in the area. Really nice pub, friendly staff, good range of drinks and a central location. They had an appetizibg menu with plenty of offers and some fantastic looking desserts

Met friends for a birthday meal. For was very tasty hot and freshly cooked. Service was good polite and friendly. Pub was clean and tidy.

Excellent service considering they were busy, ( good sign 3pm ) ,and just one behind the bar. Excellent sauvignon blanc, nice and cold. We ordered the burger with chips, halloumi, corn 🌽 chips and onion rings. We paid a pound extra to double the burger, I challenge anyone to finish this meal in five minutes. Everything was tasty and well cooked. Overall, the pub was very clean , outdoor seating too with a big screen for the sports person, plenty of parking off road. Will be back for Sunday lunch one afternoon I can imagine. Well done GK pubs

Wonderful homely friendly pub we found by chance. Food well worth trying, be prepared to feel stuffed afterwards. Nothing is too much trouble, felt at ease as soon as I walked through the door. Staff very friendly.

Cosy & Welcoming atmosphere. Brilliant and attentive staff. The food was incredible! And great for my nut allergy too. It was our first visit and we absolutely will be returning! We stayed for drinks and the footy after eating. There are plenty of TVs with Sports on around the pub. Including outside. There was even an adorable dog in the pub. Cannot recommend this place enough! (See picture below of this amazing cheesecake!)

Very disappointed, had table booked week in advance for an anniversary but they had no food 4 dishes not available so due to dietary requirements had to go elsewhere, no fish available, no steak available either

Went again to The Barleycorn had a lovely evening with friends had some great food, great value for money. Food was served in a timely manner from ordering. The Staff were very polite and friendly, checked back on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Plates and glasses were cleared when we had all finished eating. Would recommend if you want good food at reasonable prices.

Went in for a lunch today and was warmly welcomed by the 2 friendly ladies behind the bar. This has a nice local pub feel and is clean and tidy. Lots of drink selections to cater for all tastes. The menu has lots of choice and includes choices for intolerances. I went for gammon with egg and all was cooked perfectly. The service from the 2 staff was quick, efficient and delivered with a smile. I like it here and have been before and certainly will again.
