Surprised how this place is always packed and has good reviews. Waiting one whole hour for food. People who arrived after us got served before us. Food is so mid. Like you could make it at home. Waste of money and waste of calories. I recommend honest burgers down the road.

Fatty undercooked bacon, dry burgers, no taste to the fries. Nice enough place but not trying hard enough. Ate the £15 special menu, probably why

Great service, we went on a Friday which is a quieter day. Waiter was very helpful and approachable and made our visit more enjoyable. Also, they have irn bru on tap. What more could you want?

Had a great time at Fat Hippo Liverpool! The burgers were absolutely amazing – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Easily some of the best we've had in the city. The chips were a bit underwhelming and the dips didn’t really impress us, but honestly, the burgers more than made up for it. We’ll definitely be coming back just for those! If you're a burger lover, this spot is a must-try.

We got two burgers, and cheeseballs as a starter. Starter was great, burgers were average but it took them literally an hour to bring the order although the place was not even half full. When i asked how long is it gonna be they said they’ll check and i had to ask again for an update cause they never came back to me

The waiting staff were lovely which was the only endearing part of this treat out! Waited over an hour for food and when it arrived was cold! Disappointed!

Ordered from Uber eats and the meals were missing their sides and one of the burger was missing a patty and most of its ingredients. £14.90 for a plain burger that's missing everything that goes on it and with it 💀 God awful experience as Uber eats won't refund due to the sides being included in one price with the burger so contacted Fat Hippo and they refused to do anything but offer a gift card. Didn't even get an apology for an awful meal and £70 down the drain and the gift card won't cover all the meals we wasted money on. Don't waste your money here as there's plenty of great places in Liverpool - Terrible food and even worse management. Yikes

I came on a quiet Monday evening, the venue was lovely and clean. The food was quick to come. I ordered an American cheese burger and chips with zinger mayo. Burger has great flavour, my bun was GF and did come out a little on the cold side, so I asked and it was heated. The zinger mayo was delicious & hand cut fries have some bite. The burger is a little more on the smaller side so if you’re a bigger eater I’d recommend ordering an extra side.

Walked in with no reservation for lunch 👍, took a while to get our food, but it was well presented and very tasty, had Chicken Hangover burgers. Onion rings were far more ring than onion, so left them and we choose different chips between us, but seemed to all get the same. I'd go back for another go though 😋

The burgers were amazing and portion sizes were perfect to match the burger. I also had the fried pickles which were lovely (if you're a fan of pickles) they advised us that one of the fryers was out when we walked in so there might be a slight delay, however the food came out very quickly and tasted just as amazing! So far the best burger I've had in Liverpool! I had the PB + JJ, whilst the peanut butter was a bit heavy it paired perfectly with the salty beef patties.

Food was fine, however, waited just over an hour for 2 burgers and some chips. I get it was busy but that's insane. Place was absolutely freezing aswell and had to keep my coat on!

Booked a table, welcomed on arrival and left after 25 minutes with no service for ordering food or drinks. Great food previously if lucky enough for enough servers to be on staff that night. Will give it a miss going forwards.

The fat hippo experience was welcoming, staff is very on queue with drinks and food also when taking orders. Lovely atmosphere definitely coming again x

The food itself is great, really nice stuff and very much deserving of being tried. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. We were seated at 7pm on a Sunday, order taken at 7:15pm, and food not brought out until 8pm. This was also the experience for the other tables around us. No one was happy. The staff looked truly stressed and were very apologetic. This isn't their fault so I'm not criticising them. Whoever is running this particular Fat Hippo needs to have a hard look at the processes in place because no one should be waiting an hour to get what they came there for.

The fries was soggy and the burgers and onionrings lacked salt and pepper, very tasteless

They have a gluten free menu which is pretty handy. A friend and I came in and we ordered a few appetisers as we were running out of the time, the man that served us was amazing and put our order through really quickly so we would get the food sharpish. It was great. The staff were pleasant. The food was tasty!
