Very nice discovery. We were very well received. We ate very well. Succulent dishes in a warm atmosphere.

Even though their entire Internet went down, we still managed to get our food and drinks which were great. Wonderful atmosphere.

Really nice spot, been here many times as Riva or formerly as Gino’s. The food is always spot on, I would highly recommend the bruschetta gamberino, you will not be dissapointed. Really friendly staff who are very welcoming and accommodating. Great atmosphere for a restaurant, music at the right volume and distinct chatter in the background from other visitors. Food was delicious, steak really well cooked and seasoned. Look forward to my next visit.

I celebrated my birthday at Riva Blue, and I can't express how wonderful the experience was! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special for me and my family. The manager was kind and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. They took the time to ensure we were comfortable. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right for our celebration. I can't thank Rae and her team enough for making my birthday so emorable. We'll definitely be returning and recommending Riva Blue to everyone we know!

Aggressive and sanctimonious attitude from the husky blond girl from the moment we were seated. The pasta was undercooked and portions are pathetic, my wife was severely sick from her meal as well. This was the worst service we've had in a long time, the two colleagues stared at us the whole time we was there smirking at us. The blond girl was extremely irate when I asked to take the service charge from the bill and raised her voice infront of other guests, she then proceeds to complain about us behind our back to a the poorly dressed italian colleague in the ill fitting suite (I mean literally behind our back, merely 3 ft away at most) This was meant to be a birthday meal with the family but frankly it was ruined and we felt nothing but uncomfortable the whole time. We will not be returning again.

Lovely meal - enjoyed sea bass, seafood linguine and prawn linguine. Only thing I would say is the portion of calamari was a bit small for the price.

Lovely Italian restaurant with a fabulously extensive, varied and authentic Italian menu! Service can be a little slow, however it's absolutely worth the wait ☺️ Friendly staff, and if it's a sunny day, sitting outside is beautiful! If you go inside the building, down to the toilets, you'll find opposite the old bank vault which is a really cool hidden secret (see video) 😎

Very nice place! I will certainly come back again. The menu is rich and makes me want to try everything. The interior is absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely my taste on decoration. I was just a little disappointed about the waitress who left me and forgot about me while I asked her to clean my chair so I could sit. I had to wait like 10 minutes up to finally have a very nice person to help me.

Really welcoming and warm feeling atmosphere. Staff were extremely friendly, considerate and helpful and the food was exquisite.

Some of the best Italian food I've had. The Frittatina Carbonara and the Tiramisu al Pistacchio in particular were special. Great atmosphere and service. Perfect for families or a date.

Rival Blu has good Italian dishes. They offer special events and discounts for Club IR, I'm in the club but I didn't get it, disappointed. Waitress - nice friend person. My order was wrong but I was too hungry to complain and wait again for so long. 2 people's lunch is like £100, we have 2 starters, 2 main, 2 drinks and water

That is the only restaurant that I would rather say. No comments. I am extremely disappointed, the food , the lack of coordination. The whole experience was rather traumatic. We waited for our food for 2:30 mins, everyone had a complaint. Absolutely not the best quality Italian as they claim. The only authenticityqqaaq are the few waiters who are Italian...

Visiting from America, this set the bar far higher than a large majority of restaurants there or in the area. Some of the best food I have ever had.

I went to this restaurant twice. The first time I was very well attended to and the food was great. On the second time (June 1, 2024), I was extremely humiliated, without any exaggeration. I had a bottle of wine and then ordered my dish, which took forever to arrive. I didn't bother to complain and ordered another glass of wine while I continued to wait. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, the manager (maybe) came with the bill and told me that I had already been served and that they had even removed the dish when I went to the bathroom. At first, I thought it was some mistake until the scoundrel had the nerve to tell me that he had served me himself and that he had the camera footage, which he still hasn't sent me and never will. At the time, I shouldn't have paid for everything, just for what they served me, but I was so shocked that I ended up paying and didn't even punch him in the face, which is what he deserved because I would never do that in any establishment. To this day, I don't understand why he did that to me. It couldn't have been a mistake. I imagine he doesn't like Brazilians. I am Brazilian and I am learning English. I really don't understand, I was extremely humiliated and to this day I hold myself back from going there and smashing his face in. I hope for some feedback. I left my phone number and my email with him and he still hasn't returned my call.

The restaurant has a large capacity with an inviting cocktail bar at the entrance. The staff is courtious and attentive. It serves well prepared Italian food, so avoid ordering Caesar salad like I did, which I ate only because I was hungry. The focaccia and the mixed appetizer platter were very good, as well as the pasta and gnocchi that my friends ordered. Finally, we ordered varied desserts, all really good. The wine was overpriced.

Very over priced for the portions they serviced .plus they added a service charge that they didn't mention .4 mains and 2 glass of wine and one tiramisu and it was £120 can definitely say u get a better and more tasty meal from Tony macaroni

We had the mezzanine floor for our sophisticated hen do lunch celebrations. It was perfect. The service was impeccable, the staff very good and all the food was delicious. Not one of us had a bad word to say. The restaurant was very organised, comfortable and spacious. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I will certainly return with family and friends again.

We stopped by Riva for a pre-dinner cocktail, and it did not disappoint. The bar area was beautiful, with immaculate decor. We tried the Espresso Martini and the Amalfi Me, both of which we highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed. We'll definitely return for a meal next time we visit.

Took 25 minutes to get a coke and a soda. Asked to eat inside as there was a chill outside after ten minutes, we were ignored! Food comes quicker than your drinks! My wife really enjoyed her starter plates, she had courgette fries and tomato and basil. I however had the Carbonara and it was one of the worst carbonara's I've ever eaten. It was full of fat rather than bacon, completely put me off. Definitely not worth the price. Asked to speak to a manager, also ignored. Waiter said " the manager said the bacon is now from Italy so there is more fat than bacon and it was probably not cooked long enough".. SHAMBLES OF A PLACE!!

I visited Riva Blu today and the service was brilliant. I brought my 9 month baby and all the staff made it as stress-free as possible, helping me with pram etc, providing anything I needed to help me with baby. The food was nothing short of exceptional! I had Bruschetta Gamberoni and it was 10/10, would recommend this place highly and will definitely be returning, thank you.

We came here on the off chance on Sunday without a reservation and they were able to get us in. Which we are so happy about because the food was outstanding. All the waiting staff were helpful, and it has an amazing vibe. The decor is beautiful and you could see your food being made. The service was brilliant, didn’t wait long for our food even though they were really busy. We would come back and have already recommended to friends and family.

We went to Riv Blu on Sunday 28/04/24 as a family of 4, the atmosphere and staff were lovely, the food arrived quickly a tasted amazing. The price for our food which included starters mains desserts an drinks was very reasonable. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend

I went to Riva Blu Italian with a group of friends for birthday dinner. We had table pre-booked. There was a little wait time but overal we had a great time. Food was tasty and atmosphere amazing. Would definitely come back.

Food was nice although portions were small for the price. The service however was not great, with incorrect drinks brought on more than one occasion, one drink not turning up and being put onto the bill, and just generally slow service although there were only a couple of tables in.

The fastest food (8min) and the slowest desert (almost 45min) but it was fantastic meal and especially the desert ciocolato with ice cream vanilla which I had two finally (the second came on normal time). Staff very nice and professional, i liked especially the waitress that she gave me the second desert, she was funny... Thanks and I will come back.

We had a fantastic meal for our daughter's graduation. Everything was perfect! Fantastic staff too. Well done Riva Blu Liverpool. Visited one or two other similar restaurants on Castle Street but this restaurant is head and shoulders above.

Great meal! All the recommendations they gave me about the food were gorgeous. The manager accommodated all the requests of my little son, my kids were so happy! I’ll be back soon!

Lovely meal last night. Calamari and garlic bread to start which were very tasty. Husband had the chicken for his main and I had sea bream. Fish was delicious, cooked to perfection and was a decent portion, potatoes and veg ok but bit bland. Our lovely waitress Victoria was very efficient, friendly and welcoming, thank you Victoria!

I booked Riva Blu for my daughter and her friends to celebrate a couple of their birthdays and by all accounts, they had a wonderful time. Full marks for food, service and atmosphere and a special mention for the waiter who looked after them who was excellent.

Stupidly we didn't book but the staff were so accommodating and found us a little table really quickly. The food was great and the service was incredible!!!! The girl with the dreads (didn't catch her name, sorry) was just amazing so friendly and an assest to the restaurant, and the guy who made me the best dirty martini deserves a pay rise. Was amazing.

Great service and delicious food

I've been at Riva last week and has been amazing we got a party in a nice room somewhere downstairs. The food, the staff everything was excellent. Specially Dani who was super attentive with me and my friends keeping those glasses up all night. Definitely will be coming back soon

What can I say it’s busy but the wait is worth it ! Big shout to the manger who not only brought me 3 pairs of reading glasses as I forgot mine, can not read with out them but he helped us order, first class service and celebrated with my husband with a shot of liquor- thank you for making his birthday special we will be back the little things matter and the food was divine

Was here last week & the absolute scouser Liv served us! A lovely meal is always made better with the service provided & she made sure we were all happy with our food😇 5* for both food & service.

Superb service, lovely food. Spotlessly clean, lovely decor. Atmosphere let down by use of the exit door on a cold windy night next to the main eating area. Not sure why they don't just keep to the Castle Street entrance.

Absolutely brilliant service, delicious food, booked for a family birthday and the staff were excellent. Even a little free birthday dessert with candle for the birthday girl. It was our first visit but we will definitely return and recommend.

Went here on a visit to Liverpool. Food took 45-50 mins to come reason for this was the bigger table's were priority apparently. They certainly know how to charge food was just ok at best service was shocking wouldn't recommend if there is only a small group

The glasses at the bar were dirty and had lip stains on them..The menu was basic, nothing exciting was on there…The food took an hour between the starter, and the main to come out. Not the best experience I’ve had, personally wouldn’t recommend

Me and my partner went for dinner and we’re absolutely impressed with the service we received. We were waited by Victoria and she couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful!

The food was excellent, and it was excellent value at 50% off for members in January. The service was generally very good, but too slow to come back to find out what we wanted for dessert.

Stumbled upon this place as our hotel was just a street away. We ordered the Linguine Fruiti de Mare and Napoletana pizza. Couldn't fault the taste of the pasta but the portion was small for its price. Pizza was burnt in some areas on the bottom, till it masked the taste of the pizza.

I really like this restaurant, I actually chose it to celebrate my birthday this year, and the celebration cake is soooo good! So last Thursday (14th)when I been here again I ordered this cake again, it was still so delicious. Then I asked a extra one for takeaway. After around 10mins later a lady seems like manager told me “WE DO NOT DO TAKEAWAY”. But interestingly, I just found in google it shows you do takeaway! It made me feel very UNCOMFORTABLE and I felt like I was being treated differently. I even love this place so much but get treated like that? I'm waiting for the restaurant to give me a reasonable explanation

We was here on Friday night 1st December what an amazing place we had got engaged that day and this place topped it off so well. Thanks to the manager who while paying the bill she asked his it was and when I told her it was special as we had got engaged she was so lovely and insisted we had a glass of champagne it was lovely of her and again made our day definitely back soon x
