Waited a long time for our meals usually very quick but was ok

Cheapest pub I've been in fir a long time and the beer was really good 👍

Proper pub,cheap beer and food got some characters.

We sat upstairs which was a nice seating area. Had drinks which we ordered on the app and we delivered in good time. I was still a little shocked when I STILL had to walk upstairs to the toilet 😂

Good option for early breakfast so choose this Wetherspoon. Very nice building and good interior. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Not very clean as most of tables were dirty. Anyhow we ordered via app and got our breakfast. Always decent food and reasonable prices. Options for veggie. Refill tea or coffee. What i didn’t like a lot of drunk people at breakfast time and outside smokers.

Quieter than the other wetherspoons in town, quick service. Ordered the millionaire shortbread dessert, but no choc sauce! Drinks were good and reasonably priced

Full of people with hard lives and nowhere to go. Would'nt bring my family here.

Don't know what all the complaints are about. Come here weekly. Yes there are a few down and outs but you never feel unsafe here. The staff and food is far better than some reviews suggest

I got asked by 3 different crackheads if I had any change in the space of 1 hour. The fire alarm then went off and we was all asked to leave. What a shambolic experience. The coke sniffing room was also full of people urinating which was extremely unhygienic won’t be returning soon

Nice good Wetherspoons, does what it says on the tin I guess, there's a reason for their success. Somehow I find the food here the best from all Wetherspoons in Sheffield

Law is that someone 16 or 17 can drink a pint with there meal if accompanied by an adult but the blonde women decided to take the drink and refuse to refund it. Wrong ens

There is a gobby cow with dark hair who acts like she is a manager, walking around, listening to her walkie talkie. Her language is vile, towards staff and customers. Embarrassing.

Dinner with my teenage son. Food is ok and it was quick and cheap.

Standing at the bar and a lady tells a member of staff her little boy has been sick in the toilet. The member of staff told the woman to clean it up with hand towels 🤔 not even a mop. Many people would have left the sick on the floor and say nothing.

Cheep drinks before the clubs. Always full to the brim though so good luck getting served quickly

Only scored 4 stars for service as ordered drinks that were only available from downstairs & took ages to come.

Wetherspoons is the best around for good value drinks. However Sheffield City centre has deteriorated dramatically over recent years with undesirables plaguing the streets around this venue, which I must state is NO fault of Wetherspoons!! However I do feel it's only fair to make others aware.

Staff always mope-ing about don't look like they want to be there very slow not enthusiastic at all. Atmosphere OK, alot of drug users in and out toilets exc and selling knock off stuff from shops lol...... cheap drinks though food average but what do you expect for price still ide say on most items of menu good value for money.

The services we got was OK but was on edge as all the time as drug users was walking in and out selling what ever they add I'm in a wheelchair I went to disabled toilet it was not a nice the wax pee all over seat and floor I couldn't use the toilet so we ended up leaving after that so I could go to toilet

It is a weatherspoons pub in a nice old building in a central city location. Food wasn't anything special but cheap and edible and refuelled the family for a wander about town.

Noisy football pub downstairs but upstairs is far better and up near the windows on the next level up is even better. Food is reasonable, beer is excellent and coffee is great

Nice pub, we used it for our meals instead of the overpriced food at our hotel, Staff were great, really pleasant and polite, if you are going to eat then use the first floor, the ground floor is more the regulars. Just need to stop the smokers congregating in the door ways.

Oh my…..! Horrific experience awful, inedible food, grumpy staff and you need to wash your hands before entering the toilets! This place is horrendous! Full of druggies and alcoholics. I have never smelled toilets so bad! I had to hold on to it rather than use them!! Vile!!

Be much better if all the chavs scruffs and wanna be gangsters were told to take off their baseball caps. Looked like most of the homeless were living in here. Awful place. Least the bar staff were pleasant enough

I have tea here once a week when I'm working in the city centre. Upstairs at the back is the best place to eat. Not the best Spoons in Sheff but the most convenient location for me. Food is usually good. Service does vary, it depends heavily on how busy it is. High turnover of staff so some don't seem interested sometimes but this is the exception.

Hash browns were raw in the middle, after waiting 40 minutes for the breakfast to come. Shocking service, will not be eating here again.

Excellent Guiness and curry with good service. No sport on tv though.

No locks on inner and outer doors of disabled toilets. Looked generally run down. Improved since my last visit. staff are now friendlier and more welcoming. Wouldn't mind eating here nowadays.

Meals were nice the lady that served us was nice and i think they needed more staff on shift as they was a half an hour delay to get my drinks and 45 minutes for my food we ordered The bbq chicken melt 2 large mixed grills 2 Pepsis 1 with 1 without ice 1 monster energy ultra The bill came to £42.95 just for 3 people

Typical cheap and cheerful 'spoons pub. Nowt wrong with that. You know what you're getting and a complaint I had was dealt with quickly and efficiently.

For a supposedly down market pub with lots of the 'not doing so wells' in and around, we found brilliant table service and surprisingly wonderful burger and small-plate dishes. We'll done, 'Engine Room' and staff. 👍🏻

Called for lunch and coffee , staff really friendly, food is fresh , very cheap, great afternoon.

Have been in many Wetherspoons with my family over the years but this has to be the roughest. Having lived in Sheffield 20yrs ago, I thought it would be nice to visit again. Wetherspoons is always good for a cheap dinner but leaving with my wife and 10yr old daughter at 8pm on a Sunday, a group of drunk men shouting very lewd inappropriate rude comments. No door staff to control the clientele. Will never be going in there again and left with a lesser impression of the city I loved.

Friendly and full of locals drinking beer for breakfast! Value you cannot beat though and a great place for a full breakfast and coffee to start the day.

Went to Lunch with my Daughter, was hoping for a bit of a Sunday Roast but they don't serve them 😕 I had the Raman Bowl was tasty but the Noodles were more like Italian Spaghetti then Chinese Noodles 🍜 My Daughter had 3 dishes for £14.95, the Chicken Bites are Juicy and Delicious 😋

Yet another Wetherspoons where food and drink is available at very reasonable prices. We didn't eat here, just had a drink, but there are other public house available in and around the area.

Cheap beer, service is quick and the staff are polite, good natured and really helpful. It's not for the faint hearted in there, bang in the middle if the city centre so attracts a lot of characters. Super convenient location open early till late. The food is great for the price. Lots of space, comfy areas, smoking area, phone charging, crayons for kids, disabled access is decent (disabled toilet could do with checking more often but regular toilets are fine. Large NPC( ?) type car park behind the pub, brilliant bus and tram links.

Sorry but food has gone down the pan such small portions had steak pie which was as big as a bun frozen mash which i dont mind but the portion was a childs which looked silly on the size of the plate.do proper portions and leave the drink off.wont be goin back in the near future.

It's a Spoons, they are like Marmite. I love em. We were rushed for time, it was a Saturday afternoon in Sheffield city centre, I ordered on the app, food arrived within 10 minutes. We ended with plenty of time. If we'd have gone elsewhere we'd undoubtedly have been late.

This place has dodgy reputation so I've been told. I finally went in,and not all at bad. Yes there are a few local characters in the place,but I didn't feel unsafe and no trouble. Overall quite an enjoyable experience, cheap beer & food in center of Sheffield.

Had scampi chips and peas, all was barely warm, not impressed. Evenbifvthe place is busy, sub standard food is not acceptable.

A pint of Old Peculiar perfectly poured, shake about the limited options, but can’t knock a Spoons! Alien to me was having toilets a walk downstairs!

A typical spoons bar food was good and service was efficient and quick beer selection was usual spoons fare.

Horrible place.Never been here before and will not go back again the place was filthy was afraid.to touch anything more down and outs then you could shake a stick at.Even asking the staff for a glass was hard work.

Worst weatherspoons I've ever been in .. Staff no interest in place at all. I ordered steak was thrown down on a table 3 tables away from me Eventually the guy at the table lifted it and took it back to bar 2 mins later staff from the bar brought it to me and put it down in front of me. I asked is this the steak that was delivered to the wrong table? Only to be told yes do you want it ? I replied no thanks not now It was taken away and no one decided to discuss it with me so I was £9.30 out of pocket. Will never be in the place again

Member of staff had a real attitude problem, being rude about other staff a slamming glasses and cutlery on tables, very disrespectful, this was at 14:10 on the 15th October upstairs

Lovely pub in centre of town, highly recommend if you're visiting the city or passing through.

Central wetherspoons next to castle Square tram stop, usual atmosphere, great choice of beers as ever
