In the area for a concert, went for a pint and stayed for a meal all very nice, friendly staff, clean, really enjoyed our visit will be back if in the area again.

This is a standard large Wetherspoons pub. The staff very friendly and nice attitude. Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed.

Great value breakfast and unlimited cups of tea. Peaceful setting, plenty of tables and staff were friendly. The toilets are upstairs, in what feels like miles away, but hey they were clean! The pub is in a beautiful old bank, nice to see these buildings finding a use again.

I am absolutely shocked by the level of service received at the bank statement Swansea. I ordered food to find that after taking a bite out of my burger the greece proof paper was still in my burger. When I complained the reply back was it's just the greece proof paper between the burgers. Having spoke to the manager I was offered a new meal and a free drink. I asked for a refund and this was issued to be told it will take 5 days but the value of the refund is less than the original meal. I was also given a complimentary drink which I didn't really want as my girlfriend just wanted to leave. On top of all this, I had eaten some of the greece proof paper. The manager was understanding but the complaints process was totally unsatisfactory. I was left having eaten no meal, 2 drinks and less off financially as my refund was not in full. I have attached a photo of paper as proof. Please could someone look into this as surely this does not meet the foods standards (the sign says you have a 5). Big red arrow = grease proof paper Small red arrow=the food that was consumed but not swallowed after realising it was not edible.

Bit of a let down.. Called in here for lunch with work colleagues. Went for large mixed grill. Steak was wafer thin sandwich steak, burnt and like cardboard, pork loin was just a thick cut bacon slice, burnt to a crisp, lamb was wafer thin and again burnt. No chicken. Only thing not burnt was the sausages. Had about literally 12 peas and even less chips. I even joked with the lad who brought it did he drop a few chips on the way to the table, to which he just gave a wry smile..

Awful breakfast this morning, it wasn’t busy in there probably 8 other people having bfast I’d be very reluctant to go back again, cold toast, hash browns , beans, bacon , eggs, sausages mushroom. Every thing cold. We ate some bits as we were starving and had to travel at back at 9.30 am Pity as we’d had a lovely day / night in there yesterday watching the rugby.

Drinks to celebrate my sons graduation.Really clean and covid safe. We saw staff doing lots of cleaning. Staff were really friendful and helpful.It was so nice we went back for breakfast and had the best eggs benedict ever.Thank you much better than our own towns spoons Xx

Visited with friends for lunch. Pleased to find tables well spaced with some screens between. Ordered food and drinks and all came out within a short time. Cauliflower and spinach curry was delicious- not too spicy- and was served with rice, naan, popadums and mango chutney. Along with a glass of wine it was under £9. Very good value. A little later we decided to have chocolate fudge cake and ice cream with a mug of tea. We were all delighted with our food and the relaxed atmosphere.

Plenty of beer at decent prices, good service and basic grub if you want it. You're not going here for a gourmet experience, it's to fill a corner.

Was served by the manager i think gave him 20 he gave me change of 10 he insisted he’d check the cameras and get back to me but didn’t. I checked with other bar staff who said they’d check with him as he was upstairs but no one came

Having stayed at Premier Inn for 4 nights, we visited here for breakfast more days, for one thing it was half the price and it came up a lot quicker and the staff very friendly and at least the tables were clean first thing.However the first night went in for an evening meal, but the noise, talk about low life of about 10 middle aged men near the door making so much noise, this is certainly not the place to take children early evening to eat. |I think the manager should have stepped in. Why people think they can make as much noise as they like, they need to stay at home, manners makes men, but not in this case obviously.

We received excellent service from the time we arrived. The staff were polite, efficient and we never had to wait to be served.We sat out on the roof terrace, the pub was very busy but the tables were clean, and all the areas were tidy, including the toilets. We all said we would definitely return again.

Very disappointed managed to get served and eat all the food we ordered and the drinks never arrived when we asked the server who brought our food we had a rude response ‘ye the bar is slammed’ then walked off we never received our drinks and now waiting on a refund very disappointed

Rubbish service trying to order meals today with family. The new char-grill chicken ordered for 2 at our table. On receiving them the chickens were pretty much still alive. The staff just informed us they're delivered pre cooked so there's nothing they can do so we had to order something different. The staff even admitted themselves that it was very pink. Do not recommend these chickens at all.

Avoid this awful example of a dirty weatherspoons pub. We have visited many good weatherspoons pubs but this is definitely not a good one! We sat outside and all of the tables were covered in mess and ash. None of the staff were interested in wiping the tables down even though Wales is still under Covid rules. Avoid unless you like dirty tables, un motivated staff and a low class clientele.

We had a bit of a bad experience. Someone nicked out bevvy. But our guy LIAM sorted us out because he’s the best waiter in here. Thank you to all the staff that sorted out the issue but especially LIAM for being the best guy.

My wife and I decided to eat here, we both had steak , my wife had a jacket potato with hers, I had chips with mine, they were cooked just right, the staff were friendly & helpful, we will definitely eat here again.

The staff were very helpful, when we couldn’t use, our phones to order and pay for our meal. Food was ok, served promptly, considering how busy it was.

We visited The Bank Statement whilst on a day trip to Swansea. It's a lovely looking pub, with lots of seating and good social distancing measures in place. Also in a convenient location in terms of its distance from the shopping centre and train station. We chose this venue as it was one of very few in the area that we did not have to pre-book in advance. However, there was a limited menu and the food was not as good as some other Wetherspoons we have visited in the past. Plus points: the service was fast, app to order food was user friendly and as always, it was a cheap meal.Negatives: the quality of the food. Not as nice as we've had elsewhere and some of the usual favourites were not available (e.g. All day breakfast)

We have travelled 2 hours and I paid for me and my partner to stay in Swansea for a night for his birthday at a expensive hotel. We ended up in the bank statement at around 9pm - 12.20am. We were approached by the bouncers being accused of taking drugs in the toilets. We were completely shocked by this and asked if they had got us mixed up with other people. They were so rude and escorted us out of the property. It was embarrassing and humiliating!!!!!! We have sent a formal complaint to the manager and if nothing is done we will be taking it further! They were so rude and completely embarrassed us. Our nignt was ruined!!!!! We don’t think we will even visit Swansea again after this. If we were in the wrong we would rightly admit to it. This accusation is disgusting !!!! Something needs to be done.

Lovely friendly staff when we popped in for breakfast, food was warm and waiter friendly , well done . I wish the Potters Wheel staff could see how to interact with customers , they were rude beyond compare .

My wife and I have long been great fans of The Bank Statement and have previously written two glowing Trip Advisor reports, so our first return visit today at lunchtime was a shocking disappointment. After filling in the track and trace form we were asked if we had the App.We are pensioners with little interest in technology and do not possess smart phones. We were spoken to like second class citizens and directed to the limited area where we should sit as cash customers.It took ages to get the attention of the service staff, which was surprising as the bar was only about a third full, we eventually were able to give our drinks order. My wife doesn't like the draught Merlot and in the past has been offered a glass of Shiraz from the bottle, which she likes. We were told they don't do that by the glass any more so she chose the Malbec , which is also available from the bottle. Out of stock! She then went for the white Sauv. Blanc instead. Out of stock! We are very understanding and tolerant with problems of dealing with Covid restrictions, but if you are not ready, don't open!!I should also mention that most of the smart outdoor tables and chairs have now been replaced with poor quality wooden picnic type furniture. Waited for 25 minutes to get in and join the queue. To begin with, the queue was full so we waited behind the cutoff point waiting for the queue to die down so we could get let in. The bouncer told us to go and wait across the street instead, so we did. Queue moved on so we joined the back of it, a group of people tried to cut in front of us so we moved in front of them first as we had evidently been waiting there for much longer and a different member of the security force kicked us out. Absolutely no communication whatsoever and what’s more is that the staff member tried to act like a smart arse saying that the queue was there for a reason when in retrospect, if he had been doing his job properly and given clear instructions on what to do, he would have seen what had happened. In the current COVID 19 climate, I would recommend just booking at one of the other dozen restaurants or bars in the area instead of chancing it here. This place probably isn’t worth your time unless it isn’t busy, in which case you can just walk in.

Good prices on meals. Had the curry today . It’s not the best spoons but it’s not the worst.Staff were helpful

Visited the potters 21/9/20. Got to say very dissatisfied.tried using the app as suggested, took 25 minutes to get my drinks.when I questioned one of the staff about this he said " not his concern he was just sitting people at tables.This attitude did not change with other staff .My wife joined me later and yet again another 20 minute wait, when questioned staff said it was busy, it was clearly not it seemed the students were getting priority above anyone else. When our drinks finally arrived they had been standing so long the ice melted and were warm.Complaints fell on deaf yearsNever again.

I find it bizarre that the Welsh Governent Chief Medical Officers/ Health Ministers now allow 4 extended households to meet indoors but the Bank Statement somehow have their own rules. Whilst I understand the difficulties etc around Covid -19 it's quite odd when you happen to be 8 people in 3 households needing a table being and being told to sit in 4s and not to mix!! When queried told by a young lad 'If you don't like it go elsewhere'rude and unacceptable. Won't be going there again!!!

probably the worst evening out ive had.thought I would give swansea a go for the first time since lockdown and went to bank statement. What a joke for an evening out.Got given a cell to sit in while drinking my first pint, not allowed to speak to anyone else , not allowed to socialise without the door gestapo appearing over your shoulder telling you to sit down like your a 5 year old.went to the bar to get a second pint, bar staff rude and obnoxiousleft after two pints,If wetherspoons really think that they are giving their customers an enjoyable evening they are sadly mistaken.Shane as I like Tim Martin but I will never spend another penny in one of his pubs after that experience

Even though the menu said the steak would be served with onion rings we didn’t have any.?Considerable wait for food but it was hot and nice. During busy times most places seem to be serving cold in edible food but no complaint here with this visit.

Ordered 2 steak meals one simple and one with everything,when they arrived my meal had no mushrooms or onion rings as stated on menu my wife’s sirloin was tough as old boots ,when staff were informed I was told they haven’t got mushrooms left and onion rings would be brought ,after food was finished no sign of any onion rings plus the table next to us had 3meals all with mushrooms on which was ordered after us ,when I asked staff they just shrugged their shoulders .will not be returning for food there again

We visited this spoons for lunch due to everywhere else being busy. It was super busy in here but I am sure that wasn't helped by the eat out scheme. There were a lot of flys everywhere and the wait for food was very long, but that wasn't a huge issue. The food wasn't very hot when it came out and our drinks didn't come until awhile after the food came and one of the drinks was wrong. My partner's burger was extremely dry and the bun felt very stale and my chicken was very chewy. The little plates were all okay though. Overall, it wasn't the best lunch but you can't fault the price.

The worst Wetherspoon meal I have ever had. It was supposed to be gammon eggs and chips. I gave up on the gammon because it was so tough, no wonder I was given a steak knife to cut it up. It was also supposed to come with peas and tomatoes but unfortunately there was a lack of both. I will say the waiter was very good about my complaint and said he would refund my meal. What else can I say other than avoid the pub for food like the plague

Spoon is spoons, but we do like the revamp here, some great outside space. Service fast, plenty of seating, which is needed, as always seems pretty full here

Had food in here on the sat afternoon and again on sun morn food was lovely but the ladies toilets were dreadful block toilets and masses of tiny fly's went and told the manager but it was still like 2hrs later I know it was busy but uch fly's on toilet seats walls ceiling looked like they have been there a while

I went to this pub during a visit to Swansea. The pub was busy, so I just had a drink, prices were reasonable, recommended.

how come a big chain like this runs out of ice everytime it gets a bit busy i find it unbelievable how this can happen why don`t the keep a backup or buy some in and the bar staff never tell you either before you buy a drink

doorman became physically and verbally abusive .appears to believe that he owns the whole street.predict many more like comments unless they clean up their door staff.

Not the cheapest Wetherspoons but food always good and staff a little more pleasant, efficient and friendlier than most Spoons pubs.

Boujolais day! Leah and Callum were amazing! Amazing staff by all being it so busy but the two of them cleared a toilet which was blocked. Honestly, amazing and quick service. You should be proud with the staff working here! Quick and efficient. Solving problems (big and small) left, right and centre. Nothing was a problem. Brilliant staff.

Always have a good experience here. Food and drink are always good, highly recommend to any fussy eaters looking for food in Swansea.

This is a well turned out Wetherspoon pub. The food is good value and well presented. Unfortunately the staff let it down somewhat. Not really rude, but slow and unapologetic for it.

Wow, go in for a pint at 1245am when they close at 1am and get told the place is closed, rude doorman... No customer service what so ever. Get told he's gonna knock me out..

So we called in for a coffee, toast & breakfast. Ordered at the bar, sorted out our drinks. Food arrived warm and edible! Certainly recommend and will call again

Bank holiday Monday, not very busy which was a bonus. Ordered using the app, very easy to use. Ordered a deli deal, jacket potato with beans and cheese plus a sirloin steak. Food was fine, meals did arrive before the drinks!!

Came here on a Friday evening with friends from work. Very busy and clean spoons. Great app. Fast service. Quicker than queueing. Staff all friendly and polite. One of the better spoons by far.

On a Raining Sunday had a great meal great value ,and a great waiter lighting bolt !!!he made my day,its worth a visit for him to cheer you up.

This is a fairly large Wetherspoons in the heart of Swansea's Wind St and as such, attracts a wide range of customers. Expect standard 'Spoons fayre, though pizzas are tasty and fresh. Pleasant staff and you never have to wait too long for a drink, though the place can get rammed at weekends. Be prepared for lots of families and nearby hotel guests coming in for breakfast on Sat/Sun.

Went there with my business partner to have the famous Tuesday Steak Club, was good , only problem is that i dont like tomato peas and mushroom, what they call TPM, i asked them to remove it and they must have forgotten, but was a minor mistake, overall was very nice meal, and the price was extraordinary low, ill go back every Tuesday that i can.

The bar is on Wynd street, which was very busy, and the Bank Statement was no execption.

Ate here on the evening 02/05, a bonus was the football being shown on a large screen in the main bar area.

Great Wetherspoons here at Wind street .. our usual Teresa Ricci Rose bubbly in lovely surrounding ..fab looking bar area .. icing on the cake was the rooftop terrace ..what a great idea and had a net covering to stop the birds ... 10/10 .. would highly recommend this place.

Called in on the odd chance as I was passing by. Place was real busy, whilst other places were empty. Had a few pints.

The prices are really good compared to bars nearby, lots of drinks to choose from, pretty much what you expect from a weatherspoons pub.

Came here with the girlfriend and the two kids, ordered food via the app. Food arrived fairly quickly, was hot and well presented and not just slapped on the plate.

Had food here late on a Sunday evening while staying close by. We both had pizza, the BBQ chicken and Meat Feast which were enormous with loads of toppings and very fresh. Great service and food and very good value for money, with a pizza and drink for around £6.50.

Passing through Swansea but needed a quick meal. This place fitted the bill. Food was pretty standard for a Weatherspoons (oddly slightly cheaper than in England!) Quickly served and the usual good value. Toilets however left a lot to be desired (not kept clean). Wouldn't return for this reason.

Kyle served us and he was fantastic, so attentive and polite, would highly recommend, he best service I have received, ho and see Kyle.

We went for a drive and fancied some food we googled bars pubs and restaurants but wanted some light food in a pub style restaurant so ended up in the bank statement in Swansea very clean welcoming bar friendly staff food cooked as requested and arrived promptly with good service and hot good wertherspoon pub and it was a lovely atmosphere

A good Weatherspoons pub with good prices and a large choice of beers, lagers and many other drinks. The food is quite good for this type of pub. It can get very crowded at weekends but less so during the week days and evenings.

This is another local weather spoons that we sometimes use for eating out as a family as it’s cheap and the food is great.

This morning my wife and I decided to grab a large breakfast before heading the short distance home. We've enjoyed breakfasts at other Weatherspoon pubs before so was expecting something a lot nicer than what was served to us. I don't understand the need to have 3 hash browns on the plate whilst just one piece of paper thin bacon. Could it be to skimp on what is actually tasty and fill plate with bland hash browns instead. Anyway what was served was actually cooked well but by the time it got to us it was not very hot at all. No one came to ask if everything was ok and we left quite a lot on the plates. Safe to say it's the last time we will have breakfast there.

Visited one weeknight with family. The place was quite busy for a weeknight and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was fast but good and the drinks reasonable. All in all a nice experience and we will visit again.

Breakfast presentation all piled on top of each other on middle plate.baked beans were missed off and had to ask.two coffee machines not regularly checked.had to tell staff again about problems.one machine did only half a cup the other one the coffee was cold.when staff advised went off to check and no answer or apologies back.considering we go to Wetherspoons everywhere it was the worst one ever.people were sitting next to the disabled toilet not knowing until someone went in.needs to be signposted better .iwont be going back.

A great place to enter on Wind Street for a nice cheeky pint or two or a few vodkas! Really cheap compared to most places!!

Cheap drinks and the food is also cheap and delicious. Always start a Wind St night out at the Bank Statement as they sell the cheapest drinks in town.

I eat here frequently as its right around the corner from where I work and is great for quick food on break or after a long shift.

Traveling companion & I were in Swansea for the weekend following our Football Team. I'd not been to Swansea before and it's a long drive from London... so weekender!

As we walked up from the marina, this is one of the first pubs that you come across, it is a good size building, it offers the usual selection of drinks, good selection of real ales, which always has me in the door. We had just arrived and choose to have something to eat. We ordered two dishes, one had extra chicken to be included, when the dish arrived no chicken, we pointed out the error, and they had to go away and check, rather than taking away the whole dish, they left the rest of the dish, by the time the chicken had arrived the rest of the dish had been eaten, if not it would have been cold, they did refund the extra paid, but it should have been sorted quicker.

We had fish and chips on the Friday - was great couldn’t fault it.

Cosy, hospitable, relaxed atmosphere, great food, great beer, great prices...We are in Swansea for 3 days now and we have been there already 4 times...We love it 👍😊

Took my daughter for food here and she loved it.. staff were friendly and the food was good for the price.

Called in today for food with family. I wanted something different to gammon misses mentioned burger thought great lets go with that i wernt disappointed either homemade which is always better i think come with chips and onions rings plus dip even a drink great stuff burger was great fair play loved it chips were nice to both meals everything come to 13 something bargin will defo call in again very happy

Went to the bank statement, the staff are really friend ly and kind, the food was quick to come out and the food was delicious, I recommend you to eat here.

Had the two meals for £8.39,excellent value and quality. Two chilli Con Carne served with rice, tortillas and soured cream. Quick service and the bar person and waitress were really nice. My complaint is that we were sitting next to an area where the cutlery are kept, and a group of waiting/bar staff congregated there. They were speaking really loud and using language which was not appropriate for the environment. Several four letter expletives were used. Had I been with my grandchildren I would have been mortified. Although not directed at any customer this does not give a professional impression. If other customers use this language I realise that there is little staff can do to prevent it, however, training should be given to those that wear a staff uniform as they should be ambassadors of the chain. Its a pity as it is such a nice place with reasonable food.

A good Wetherspoons in central Swansea. Staff were friendly, though service was a little slow. Good range of drinks, and exactly what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons.

Stopped here for lunch before heading home, we had food off the two for menu I had the five bean chilli which was very tasty and my fiancé had the ham egg and chips. Would definitely go again

Don't normally go in weaterspoon pubs but I was with my sister. Started off good as they had one of my favourite gins which was good but they do overdo the ice, which is a shame. I had the ultimate burger which comes with chips and onion rings. The burger was good but it had so much sauce in it my hands were totally covered, so please a bit less heavy handed with the sauce. Overall good and although busy quite fast service.

As regular users of Weatherspoons, genuinely think they are good value.

I used to love eating here but I don't think I will again. On my last visit the food was just about warm so we sent it back and it did come back hot. I thought it might be a one off so went again. Still had the same problem. I ordered food went for a pee and by the time I got back to the table the food had been served. Once again it was tepid. I had a mixed grill. The pork loin and gammon was so dry and tough , the sausage was ok as was the lamb and the steak. But if I wanted cold food I would have ordered a salad. Quite clearly the food had been cooked and left sitting til someone ordered. Wetherspoons need to sort this out!!!

We went to watch the football.... we both had surf and turf.... i had rump steak, that was tasteless and very chewy... my husband had sirloin steak with was tasteless and slightly less chewy. My chips were warm... the peas were cold... but the scampi was really nice

We visited Easter Saturday lunchtime and the only table was at the back by the doors. It was very chilly and not comfortable. We ordered and the food arrived in around 5 minutes. Normally this would not be a good sign but the 3 clean plates showed how good the food was.

Never been so embarrassed to be in a Welsh city on a family night out. Staff attitude not positive in particular a female member had a very aggressive manner and no show of manager when we requested speaking with him. Not an experience that I would think would encourage further visits or be welcoming to tourists. Thankfully there are many more welcoming restaurants and bars close by though.

Average pub food and service. Very busy . Asked to move twice throughout evening to accommodate music and dancing as in a large party which spent a lot of money felt the service was poor as we couldn't find alternative seating

Ideally located in the town centre, usual JD Wetherspoons good quality grub. Quite spacious and plenty of room. Great selection of real ales. Staff friendly and efficient.

We visited the pub on two occasions.Once for drinks only the beer wine and cocktails were nice and good value. The next day we went for lunch which was hot and steaks cooked to our liking. Friendly and helpful staff.
