Lovely cafe-stop on our walk. This was our second visit and the vibe in Bank House was friendly and cheerful for both. Thoughtful additions like flowers at the table and vintage cups and plates all add to the experience. The coffee and home made cookie were lovely and service is attentive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this cafe.

From the second we walked through the door the couple who ran the cafe were so welcoming and friendly. Our lunch was delicious and there were some nice choices on the specials board, although we didn't have them. We then had dessert and coffee and enjoyed the great atmosphere, with locals coming and going. We only wish we lived nearer, so we could pop in all the time!

The cafe is just a short walk from Charmouth beach. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and even though it was full we didn't get left hanging around.You can really tell that a great customer service is important here.Our food was all great and reasonably priced. Would definitely ear here again if we find ourselves this way again.

We sat outside with the dog and had full English and ham, egg and chips; I'm picky about my chips but they were amazing, very fresh, crisp outside and fluffy inside. Food was nice and service quick and friendly. Just a shame the weather was freezing 🥶

A lovely delicious 3 course meal at one of their “Special Evening Dinners” such great value for money and super service and a great atmosphere clearly everyone was enjoying the fully booked occasion can’t wait until the next event so thank you Sam and Frank 👏👏

Just the most wonderful place. Amazingly friendly and warm welcome, fabulous food and clearly loved by locals too! The owner knew several elderly visitors by name and their regular orders. Really touching and the food was perfect- including various dietary requirements. Would highly recommend!!! We went back for breakfast again the next day!

I was greeted by friendly staff and had A flat white coffee & a full english breakfast, it was lovely. A lot of locals obviously come to the cafe & it was great to hear the banter, so much so that I ordered another coffee while i remembered childhood memories of the area & the people. Very relaxing and not hurried to pay up & get out like some places.

I had seen this coffee shop mentioned in advertising articles before we visited Dorset, and having been in Charmouth many years previously, we decided to visit. It was a warm, sunny day so the outside tables were fully occupied and we went inside. Small and "buzzy" atmosphere with lots of delicious goodies on offer to go with our coffees. As we had not yet sampled Dorset apple cake, we ordered some, and it was delicious. Made on the premises and served warm it met all our expectations. Although the coffee shop was busy, the two ladies serving tables were very friendly and efficient. Well done!

Amazing Lunch, the vegan options we had were incredible - something completely new and really tasty. Coffee was great and the staff really know their menu, I was recommended the Special Miso Glazed Hispi Cabbage and it was so good (you know its good when you're trying to figure out how to make it when you get home half way through!) and my partner had the Butternut Pastrami which was also really good. A little gem of a place, it's so good to go to a place so enthusiastic about their food, it was great to speak to the chef too as we where leaving - hope to be back during our trip. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Absolute gem of a cafe! It's so lovely, staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious, cream teas are a must! Full English is also delicious and such good value for money. Always come here whenever in charmouth on holiday . My favourite pace to eat

Excellent family visit. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had the nachos (delicious) and my wife had the fish tacos from the specials board which looked and tasted devine. The children both had sausages and chips from the children’s menu. Everyone left happy!

First visit to Charmouth, found this little cafè situated near the beach (Jurassic coast). As soon as we arrived we were acknowledged and given a friendly warm welcome. Table service, orders taken quickly and the food arrived quickly also and was delicious! Clean toilet facilities. Outdoor seating area Good prices also for breakfast Will definitely visit again

Always visit the bank house when we are on our yearly break in charmouth, food and coffee always excellent this year went twice, Sam and Frank the owners are always pleasant and chatty. Very best wishes for your upcoming marriage.

Sam was delightful and really goes the extra mile to ensure her patrons are well cared for. We enjoyed our fresh scones and coffee, and overall the place has a very cheery vibe.

From the moment we arrived, we were net and greated by one of the team. Friendly atmosphere we enjoyed a nice breakfast on a Sunday. Nice coffee, excellent food, and reasonably priced. Dogs not allowed inside but very welcome on the patio area. Even brought them some dog biscuits.

This splendid little cafe is yet again under new management, but the new people are as equally delightful as the previous encumbants. The one thing that stops me from giving this business 5 stars, is the somewhat limited menu. The new owners are no doubt still finding their feet, and I'll be more than happy to add back the missing star on my next visit, if it seems appropriate. In any event I wish the new owners, the very best good fortune. The meal I had was very nicely prepared and good value for money. The atmosphere, was as cheerful and relaxing as always.

The BEST bacon sandwich in a pretzel roll EVER! 12/10. Bloody good!

Very good! My son loved the bacon roll!

Food was lovely. We only had basic grub but it was hot, fresh and tasty! Ham, egg and chips. My vegetarian friend didn't have the ham obvs! One down side was they said they'd give her an extra egg to compensate, but she had the same number as I did (2). Yummy chips! I will definitely come back. It is on the main road so not as picturesque as some places but we didn't mind. Staff were lovely.

A lovely cafe with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The staff were lovely too. I had the butternut squash and pesto on focaccia which came with chips and slaw. It was delicious.

Sausage bap and a coffee over €6 coffee nice , but the bap was small and the sausages not fully hot with a greasy rubbery texture as if they had been reheated in a microwave .

We are a group of 3 bikers, always on the hunt for quality eateries and this joins our list. Clean, tidy and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Food was of a good standard and the bread pudding was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back👍

Are lunch here twice during a weekend in Charmouth. Highlights were definitely the macaroni cheese, the vegetable soup and the Dorset apple cake. All home made and all delicious. Sandwiches were generously filled and the chutney used was particularly tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great little cafe.

Nice coffee and good cake. Made slightly more challenging where you had to go back inside shop to pay - and masks are mandatory... Did seem odd when they took orders outside. All in all, a nice find.

Stopped for a welcome sit down aftera long coastal walk. Coffee and tea were fine, two nice pieces of cake (obviously home made) rounded it off. Good service and clean toilets. Worth a visit.

Ordered 4 sandwiches, at a cost of over £25, to take away. The same price as eating in, just without the salad. We could not have been more disappointed. Dry and bland, cheap grated cheddar, mediocre ham, a token spread of chutney, and 6 crisps tossed into the bag. I called and complained to the owner who defended the quality. She suggested that I should have gone to a supermarket. She was right, a supermarket sarnie would have been significantly more tasty. Give this rip off den a wide berth.

The sandwiches were disappointing & came with a small handful of plain crisps thrown in the bottom of a paper bag. The lemon drizzle cake was a measly finger slice. This cost me a whopping £27.85!!!! I really hate being ripped off. When we called to complain we were told that we should have gone to a supermarket!! Yes we should have!

Staff fantastic, breatfast fantastic cappuccino out of this world. Had breakfast bap on two days, also very impressed with Charmouth great shops.

Called by for breakfast but it had just stopped so ended up with lunch. Good choice of dishes, maybe more choice of sandwiches would be welcome as limited Friendly service food was tasty and well presented

We came here today for a breakfast, we had a full English x 2 and a drink each, we had to wait a while but that's OK considering the times we are in, the young lady who served us was very polite, food was tasty, we sat outside as we have a dog so a little blustery...no-one's fault 😀, the reason I am giving 2 stars and may sound petty is because after spending the remainder of the day in Charmouth we ended up getting tea from the chip shop next door to cafe, it was extremely busy even though we arrived minutes after them opening, we didn't want to take up the tables outside as there were families that needed them more, our dog hadn't eaten properly for 2 days due to being unsettled,and so when he actually appeared to want some food, we decided to sit at the front of the cafe using their bench, yes we saw a sign but were literally perched on the end, within minutes a lady parked up beside us and asked to eat elsewhere, she pointed out there is a sign and to go elsewhere again.we moved on....MY point is they are happy to take your money in the day £25 almost for 2, Have spare benches that are not being used due to being closed in the evening, there is a way to ask people, especially if not knowing the circumstances...a terse tone and smirk isn't needed....I also think they are missing a trick, the chip shop obviously needs extra seating on evening would be good business idea and partnership to offer your seating to them for a small fee??? Work together and make your customers happy....just saying! Adios x

Fantastic service, fantastic coffee, fantastic location!!!

Tea is easily made. But few do it well, these guys do a great cuppa. Also proper chips, made on site and not stupid fries. Sat inside as the out side isn't very big and is a tad near a not too busy road.

We visited last Saturday and with time to spare before we started a fossil hunt on the beach we ventured into Charmouth by foot looking for somewhere to eat. At first we thought this cafe was closed as there was no one seated inside or out and there didn't seem to be much sign of life but on returning past it we noticed a couple seated outside. We were so pleased that we stopped as the staff were super friendly and we were able to enjoy a nice sandwich each followed by cake. They stop serving hot food about 30 minutes before closing. Everything was freshly prepared and they make the best mug of tea! Whilst we were eating the little cafe began to fill up so from being empty at 3pm they were nearly full by 4!

Stopped here for lunch. Chicken burger was great.

Called in for cake and coffee. Woman on the till was very short and made us feels complete inconvenience
