Really nice pub in the heart of Battersea Northcote road . Friendly staff and a variety of classsic British food . Good wine list and cocktails are available and they serve a sensational Sunday Roast .

Food tasted ok but lack of presentation. Extremely slow drinks service and staff poorly trained and managed. One very slow barman and two wait staff. Get the impression staff morale very low.

Its a grand space as befits a former banking hall with a large bar to the rear and somewhat erratic service front of house. There was quite a wait to be shown to a table. An elderly gentleman couldn’t wait and perched at a table for a good half an hour before someone realised it had been reserved for someone else. As it was Saturday the most popular dishes were brunch dishes. We opted for a quarter of tapas dishes. Croquettes were chunky and crispy. Bavette steak with Parmesan shavings was a definite hit and st a price which was quite a steal. But chorizo comprised little cubes of meat in a rather lame sauce. Padron peppers were limp and stale.

Bottle of Laurent Perrier good. Lumò of hard bread served was not the rosemary focaccia I ordered. Highly disappointing and should not have been charged for it.

Popped in for a quick beer with a friend. Both thought it was 'end of barrel' - as can happen - but really impressed by Louis/Lewis who was politeness personified. He apologised, changed the barrel immediately and even let me swap away. Good stuff! Nice venue, food we saw being brought out looked good. Will defo go back.

Very disappointed with the level of service of service and the limited choice of main courses and the extortionate prices of drinks, long wait for service and only marginally interested staff. Drinks sat on the bar for at least 20 minutes before they were eventually put on our table. The Old Bank appears to have only a choice of 5/6 main courses and whilst the burgers were acceptable they came with cheap deep fried chips and no other accompaniments - no presentation. One member of our party ordered a Buddha bowl which should not have been served – a few cheap tinned beans, peas, frozen spinach, kimchi or such like – at a cost of £12.95 which could only have cost £2.00 max to put together. There was no roasted butternut squash, dressing and the brown rice needed to go in the bin; we never saw any fresh sugar snap peas or hummus – everything had come out of a tin and was not ‘fresh’. £17.00 for a cheeseburger with frozen chips, no salad and no presentation, BUDDHA BOWL (£12.95); roasted butternut squash, Cajun chickpeas? really!, sugar snaps, harissa hummus, sweet corn and hazelnut mirin dressing with brown rice and pumpkin seeds?? all tinned and very unlikely.... CHEESEBURGER beef patty, mayonnaise, gherkins, American cheese, diced onion, no mustard & no ketchup and triple cooked chips? – deep fried frozen chips to be sure... If The Old Bank is advertising as a brunch outlet; it may serve but certainly must be one of the most expensive & unappealing presented in London. All in all, a very disappointing experience Added to insult was the most expensive cheap sauvignon blanc costing we discovered too late nearly £14.00 per glass!! outrageous – it was not even pleasant! The only other offering was a pinot grigio. We would not recommend The Old Bank as a Fullers outlet. There was no ambiance and ghastly rubbish 'pop' music played loudly through the speakers... With all the competition in Northcote Road this is a place to be avoided.

I was really excited to try brunch at the old bank as it’s such a lovely venue inside. However I’m sad to say the service really let it down. The staff seemed very unbothered and we could see people waiting ages including ourselves to be served despite it not being busy. The food was really nice but we’re both not sure we would return due to the poor service.

I came the other Friday night for evening drinks. It wasn’t overly busy and everyone inside was sat down having drinks / dinner. The ages of people ranged between late 20s to 50s I’d say and around 930pm extremely loud nightclub Attlee music started playing. The music was so loud it was impossible to hear anything whatsoever - it was like being at a concert. The barman said the music was loud because they are a bar and people are on a night out - in my view he got this totally wrong because all customers were sat down at tables chatting. Really weird atmosphere and I appropriately managed by a very young manager who clearly has no idea what he’s doing. It’s meant to be an upmarket bar not a teenage disco. I will not be returning and after telling my friends they all said the same thing.

Fantastic ambiance superb food giving the chef 💯 loved the place and will most definitely return. Place is accessible also a plus

We were very disappointed on our food order. Food arrive quite quickly so we were happy but unfortunately it did not taste good. Started - squid - though texture was perfect - presentation not good, Flauver of squid even worse. Dressing was nice however it did not stick to squid, and squid bit fish smelly. For me personally it was like the things were done separate than mixed before serving- no much flavour in squid. Main : teriyaki salmon with udon noodles-the salome serve was nice looking big fillet , however underneath noodles were swimming in soya sauce and little spoon of pea and sweetcorn on side. Noodles very salty, lukewarm - salmon texture good however it did lack teriyaki stickiness and teriyaki flavour , additionally bottom of the fish - smelled still fishy. We have also ordered Asian stem broccoli - and again broccoli seems to be just water boiled and Asian dressing pour over it so there was not really Asian flavour in broccoli itself. Next to us burger and chips smell great and I believe other dishes must be good however that night chef has no idea about Asian kitchen ;(

I go to this restaurant for weekday lunches about twice a month and the staff are usually lovely. However, today, unfortunately we had an extremely rude waitress which has put me off returning. She was intimidatingly rude… shouted at me across the restaurant… it made me and my friend feel very uncomfortable and her manager didn’t appear concerned by her behaviour unfortunately.

Literally disgusting. Walked out without eating. Terrible coffee. Food something comparable with being on a plane.

No not eat here. We had a roast it was vile. Over cooked tasteless to the point of embarrassing. The Yorkshire pudding was flat as a pancake. I felt dreadful for the waiters they are So embarrassed by the food the chefs had made. Vile vile vile. Please don’t waste your money in this place.

Waiting at the entrance, when I say waiting I waited for the two members of staff to finish their conversation and then beckon me over (tip for staff you don't beckon patrons to you, you go to them) waited 15 minutes, staff passed me multiple times, just left, poor customer service.

Walked in and got seated straightaway. However, unable to order the breakfast menu online so sat and waited for the waitress to come over (but she didnt). Watched as a group of people got seated and then served within the next 5 minutes. So at that point I got up and left. So embarrassing!

Just stopped by without a booking & enjoyed a wonderful full English breakfast. Really reasonable prices & friendly staff. Such a pleasant morning treat.

We visited with friends on a busy Saturday night and sat outside. Greeted by a quirky & friendly dark haired gentleman who took our order. A tab was opened with ease and offer to hold a debit card was refused which was a nice touch. The cocktails were amazing and although our food took a while to arrive we were offered apologies on arrival. Amazing night.

Stuart, Didier y el equipo hicieron un gran trabajo hoy. La esposa y yo volvimos aquí para celebrar la Primera reunión aquí hace 10 años hasta el día. Excellent service. Food came quickly and was pretty good. Good value for money. However there are limited options for vegetarians or vegans.

A friend and I were catching up after a while and it being mid afternoon the cafes on Northcote road were jammed...so we had to resort to a bar (shame!!). We were delighted to stumble on The Old Bank. Despite the fact that there were few people in there (meaning we could have a beautiful booth even though it was just 2 of us) it didn’t feel “empty” and the sort of place that needs a crowd to enjoy. It almost feels like a bar of a boutique hotel. We very much enjoyed a drink there and they were dressing a table for a Christmas dinner and the table setting was spectacular. Love the new 2019 makeover, very elegant and tasteful. Lunch was enjoyable and tasty, service was efficient, friendly and attentive. I had the polenta with wild mushrooms (sorry not photo) it was fantastic, delicious and well seasoned. My friends enjoyed their grilled chicken salad and pork schnitzel. It really is a nice place to dine, a great bar at the weekends, it gets very busy. A very different vibe during the weekday for lunch/drinks, when it is calmer.

Tuve una panceta de cerdo con estofado de frijoles servido con pan de masa fermentada y agregué 2 huevos escalfados. Estaba tan delicioso. Si te gusta la panceta de cerdo debes probarlo. Muy delicioso. Definitivamente volvere de nuevo.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting tanked up on Gamma Ray beer here with my pal, Cedric. It's a Fullers Pub, so pretty dependable. It's having a big refurbishment soon, so I might come back to see how it looks. The staff were polite and seating comfortable. Clientele were generally local; lots of families and a few groups of young people enjoying an afternoon drinking. The manager was particularly cheerful and talkative.

Decent hot food, well presented and plentiful (for women!); chilled jugs of water offered by friendly staff. Good service to start but it was disapponting that dirty plates and glasses were left when there were very few customers.

Visitamos un viernes por la noche y el personal de detrás del bar y las mesas de espera nos ayudaron a encontrarnos una mesa reservada para más tarde (como suele ser el caso en los pubs de Londres). Los pubs los viernes por la noche suelen estar abarrotados en esta parte de Londres, por lo que el personal que toma nota y le ayuda a encontrar una mesa hace una gran diferencia.

Wandered in as a group of 10 on an early sunday afternoon - always a slightly daunting prospect for weekend staff! They handled brilliantly. Accomodating and highly considerate service, great food options for veggies and gluten-free needs. Portion sizes generous and good value for money. Great place for groups to visit for an easy sunday brunch!

Recientemente hemos cenado en el banco un sábado a mediodía. La temperatura exterior era un calor sofocante aunque dentro del Banco era muy fresco y cómodo. La comida era clásica pub y yo opté por pollo y bacon linguini, que era delicioso. Mis tres compañeros de todos los comensales tenían pescado y patatas fritas que realmente disfrutamos. El ambiente de descanso era bueno y el personal era atento y amable. Yo estaría encantado de visitar de nuevo cuando en Battersea. El lager era genial y me gustaron especialmente los vasos que tenía asas. Recomendado.

Popped in here for lunch , had a fantastic choice of gin on offer my favourite lunchtime tipple , the staff were very welcoming and professional. I loved the menu and the food was gorgeous a great atmosphere, will definitely be back .

Muy decepcionado. Servicio horroroso, se ofreció a pagar cuando ordene, pero dijeron que no necesitábamos, luego alguien llegó a la mesa y nos pidieron pagar antes de la orden se coloca. Luego de que hayamos perdido una de las comidas (cerdo chuletón) que tomó otro 10 - 15 minutos para salir. A medio camino a través de comer el cerdo, nos dimos cuenta que no estaba preparado. Nos levantamos y nos fuimos. No lo recomendaría.

Londres tiene muchas cosas bonitas, pero no sería nada igual sin una buena comida en The Bank, un lugar sensacional donde los camareros te reciben y atienden con entusiasmo y una gran sonrisa, con un gran chef Miguel Martinez que te recibe y se interesa por conocer si está bien la comida. Terminé chupándome los dedos de lo bueno que estaba todo, y a unos precios fabulosos. Desde luego donde hay un gran cocinero y un gran servicio todo es bonito, pero si añadimos la calidad de la comida es genial. Ella parecía ella fue lapidado como servicio era malo. Los hombres que había allí era hacer nada la mayor parte del día. Todos pedimos asado y estaba dando 3 Patatas Patatas que era pequeño bebé. 2 for £12 cocktails Monday - Thursday - I would recommend the mojitos! Food was good, quick service and excellent value for money. Not a bad selection for veggies either.

Excellent prompt service. Veeeery delicious goats cheese omelette which was very considerably priced taking into account the size! Lovely coffee- again very good price! Lovely atmosphere and I shall look forward to returning once more!

I came here for a Sunday roast with family and it far exceeded our expectations. I had the roast beef which was served pink and my partner had the chicken. Both were delightful with very generous portions. The roast beetroot added an unusual twist. We also had wine which was very reasonable. We'll certainly be back again.

We were disappointed with our recent visit to The Bank.The menu was good, food was fine and staff were very pleasant.But the decor is so very tired. Even the chair material is peeling back at the corners of the arms. The restrooms are in need of a revamp, and my wife told me that she struggled to find a cubicle in the 'ladies' that she could actually lock the door! Generally, the restaurant needs a major refit and facelift and maybe then, the restaurant will do justice to its menu, food and staff.

Although I went there in the afternoon, I still was able to order from the brunch menu what I really appreciated. Food is good and staff is friendly (I was the only guest).

Popped in here last week after working, it was really nice actually. Lots of tables, doesn't feel cramped. Nice traditional feel about it. We ordered the veggie sharing platter, and will definitely be back to order it again! You get a good amount of food e.g. pitta, hummus, mac cheese, skin-on chips etc. The pub has outdoor seating which is ideal for summer evenings, although it was busy when we got there.

Visited here with my with and two grown up children for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The food and service was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived.We will definately be visiting here again when we are next in London.

4 of us visited for a very early dinner before the MoonWalk last weekend. I had the brisket lasagne and it was absolutely delicious! good choices on the wine list too. Service was friendly, if a bit slow (it was very busy). Would return for the lasagne alone!

Arrived here for brunch and sat outside, the service was fine and food tasty, nothing special but a perfectly reasonable standard scrambled eggs and a flat white arrived.It was served quickly and we had water to accompany it at the table.It was reasonable for the area at around £13.00 each, but nothing that would make me want to rush back….a USP is missing i think...

Went here for a friend's birthday a few months ago and I love pubs like this where the building use to be something else (it's in the name) and turn it into a pub. The name says a lot about the prices as well, you aren't paying no less then £5 a drink, the food was below-par for what you were paying and to top the evening off one of the staff tried to con my out of £10 by saying I gave him the correct change (I didn't even get an apology) so I would avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other pubs around here so you can easily miss this one.

Came for some beers and snacks with a couple of friends. The service was good, but the food wasn't. I had salt & pepper squid and was not impressed at all. For the amount of squid that was served it was seriously overpriced (there were 5 pieces for £6) and they were not crispy, too salty and simply tossed on a plate with no effort put into it. Quite disappointing.

Very good menu and would have said the food was possibly worth the price (burgers were lovely), except the onion rings we tried were horribly greasy and slimey so bit of a let down. Nice atmosphere as not packed and able to have a conversation, although the music was getting louder. Staff friendly but didn't take notice of our comments on the onion rings.

This is the first time I have eaten here since its renovation. The food was good and the service great. Very popular with the 25 to 40 age group. Great burgers and the fish and chips was huge.

Really good bloody Mary's - quite expensive though, especially as a place in Battersea offers a bloody Mary bar on sundays for considerably less. Food looked ok, we didn't eat here, found it a little pricey with not a huge amount of choice. Staff were friendly though & the place was clean, its an ok generic pub.Dogs are allowed inside & they provide water bowls for them, some customers left them on the table, which is a bit gross.

Popped into The Bank for a cocktail (or two) before lunch. It had a nice décor and warm atmosphere. They make a mean margarita and the staff were very welcoming. Food looked nice, so will have to stay for lunch next time.

The Bank used to be a bank and was remodelled last year and is very stylish with high sided booths which are great. On our visit we had a nice selection of bar food which was well cooked and good value. They have a good selection of wines and beers and well worth a look. Needless to say it is very popular especially in the evenings. I would guess the typical age group is between 25 and 40 but any age is welcome.

The building is very pretty, the venue is spacious and elegant. The waitress was super polite and cheerful. All in all a lovely place to relax and have a glass of nice wine.

In itself, this is a pleasant enough place to have a drink; it's not uncomfortable, and there are some interesting features to the building. However, the staff, who had seemed good enough when serving, turned quite rude when it came to closing time. I understand that it might be frustrating that people are still drinking when you want to clear away (even if you don't call time in the conventional way), but that's no excuse for singing 'we're closed' at your customers or telling them that they had five minutes in anything other than a polite tone. I'd considered beginning my evening here with a meal; now, I'm glad I went to a local restaurant and only stopped in here for a couple of drinks.

I had the daunting task of organising my works Christmas do this year....Looked around for ages at festive menus and wasn't finding anything until my Google map highlighted this little beauty!!Festive menu looked to die for and at a very good price 3 courses for £27.95 for the area very competitive. overall the website was giving me all the info I needed, normal menu, lunch menu, upcoming events, obviously Christmas, drink menus etc etc.I emailed straight away, praying they had space and I was in luck! In a matters of hours we had our booking, I had the menu the pre order form, general contact details I needed. Greg the manager was my main contact but whenever I called, everyone seemed to know about my booking so it felt a real team effort.We had such an amazing night with you guys on Friday. Just wanted to say a massive thank you! Festive Menu was delicious, wine drank (very) well and the service was 10/10! Its not very often you get Food & Beverage Assistance looking like they are enjoying their job!Lovely touch with the Christmas boxes, crackers & live music! Remember when all those banks got converted to wine bars? Well,this large bank conversion ,sympathetically done ,went one better emerging as a fully fledged restaurant .Slap bang in Nappy Valley ,watch out for those nannies and pushchairs,there is plenty to admire here,We went on a slow Wednesday lunchtime ,rare for this area ,and the three of us enjoyed splendid food and drink in comfortable ,friendly surroundings.Can' t really ask for more .Streatching the pun to its limit ,it didn't " break the bank " either

On my first visit to The Bank I was overwhelmed by the glowing customer service by the bar staff and the manager who made a point to greet us and made the cocktails for us himself. The food on my first visit was very satisfying and did not break the bank. On my second visit I ordered food again and was not disappointed. Hats off to the chef. I would highly recommend. Value for money. Lovely cocktails for a good price especially when they have deals on.

Me and my friends went to the Bank on a weekday a few weeks ago for a little get together. I can’t fault the place at all; the food was absolutely amazeballs and the cocktails were the best cocktails we’ve had in years! The drink list has a wide range of cocktails which are very innovative and made fresh. Staff was really friendly and this is definitely a place I can recommend. Furthermore, they have a great little outside area in the sun with a great buzz right on Northcote road.

After a long day's work, my wife and I decided to try this place. She ordered me a G&T but couldn't catch the barmaid's attention in time to stop her dumping a half pint of tonic water (from a tap) into it! Not a good start for what should be a short drink. In order I balance the tonic, we ordered a further neat gin - first glass the barman picked up was filthy (think dirty stains on the rim, suspicious sediment at the bottom); the second was too but he had already poured in the gin; and on complaining, he simply poured it into an equally dirty glass. We left and will never return! Felt sick!

A Londra è difficile trovare un pub brutto, ma il the Bank è veramente una sorpresa, affaccia direttamente sulla via principale del quartiere, ha ampie vetrate che in particolare al tramonto fanno entrare una luce splendida che illumina il grande bancone.La selezione di birre è molto vasta, comprende anche etichette dal belgio e dall'Olanda, il menu degli stuzzichino di accompagnamento è ampio e anche i piatti sono molto invitanti.Ottimo posto per un paio di pinte dopolavoro.

Будете проводить вечер пятницы в южном Лондоне в районе Wandsworth - обязательно включайте The Bank в свой поход по пабам. Шумящей толпой в пабе никого не удивить, но плюс этого места в том, что зал здесь достаточно большой и встать (не сесть :) ) здесь будет реалистично.

I've been to this bar before. This time we got there in the early evening on Sunday. The music was bit loud but over all experiences were better than the last time when we decided to move it was too noisy and crowded.

The interior is nice - an old bank I assume - but that's about it. This is just a pretty standard London watering hole, good for pre or post meal drinks or if meeting a large group of friends. Surrounded by numerous other bars and restaurants, I guess it is a good focal point on Northcote Road I don't dislike this place, it is just very...'standard' and there's not too much to shout about. The atmosphere in here could be described as being very similar to a well known bar chain with the words 'all' and 'one' in the title. Stay for a drink then move on as there's much better to find on Northcote Road.
