A great place to chill by the river on a warm evening

Clean, quick, and flavorful. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, and it was excellent. Portion sizes were fair, and the lemonade was fresh and tangy.

I went early at the weekend, walked past later and it was heaving. This is clearly a party pub and has an amazing view of the water.

Good spot. Burgers are pretty good.

Had some drinks with my friend in the sunshine. The atmosphere was amazing. It was super busy due to marathon day but just lovely to see so many people happy and socialising rather than on their phones. The spritz options were so nice as well as beer.

Cool place, great atmosphere. Bit of a weird location but it's decent.

We went there on Saturday evening and had the best time ever! Food is nice and fresh, staff attentive and service just great! We sat in front terrace section as it is a bit quieter so we could chat, but if your prefer more bustling space the back terrace will be your favourite choice! Very well done The Ship! We will be back at the nearest possible opportunity! Thank you!

Beautiful place on a sunny filled evening to enjoy a beer, grab some food.

The food was really good, especially the ox croquettes we shared at the table. Drinks were great too. We were sat outside, so we ordered from the outside bar. The guys working there were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately one of the staff – a blonde young ish woman – was quite rude and kept ignoring us, even serving others who arrived after us. Not sure what the issue was, but wasn’t happy at all.

DO NOT RECOMMEND . AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As someone who has been to the pub multiple times this year as a paying customer (more than 10 times this year, yes even with the extortionate prices) Today I was kicked out for not purchasing a drink upon entry. Staff were absolutely rude and unwelcoming, ironic considering how empty the pub always is. If you want to have a good time, avoid this pub at all costs

Tengo que decir que nos hemos mudado a Wandsworth y oído mucho sobre el barco fue allí anoche con un grupo de mis amigos para tomar unas copas lo que una primera impresión buen servicio al cliente y hermanos en la puerta eran increíbles significaba solo un par de copas pero terminó quedándose la noche

Went for the Sunday roast. We had chicken and the beef. Beef was done to perfection. Chicken was merely “ok”. Not very well seasoned. Rosy spuds were not good. They weren’t done for long enough, so they didn’t have the crispy outside and fluffy inside which was a shame. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely, as was our waitress. Please feel free to have a word with the chefs at either: The Northcote; The Alma or The Crooked Billet if you need to know the key to a good road tie because theirs were on point! Do better.

A nice riverside spot to enjoy scenic views and good food. The lamb shank was very good.

Nice pub but overflowing toilets meaning they were put off order on a busy Sunday for the rugby. Instead of resolving the problem management closed the toilets.

we found the food mediocre (at best) and service patchy , not worth the cost. we had a much better experience last time a couple of years ago

I had forgotten my bike lock, it was cold and I was prepared to eat outside to keep an eye on my bike. They offered me to park my bike inside so we could have a warm dinner! How lovely!!

The Ship has everything you would want- great pub, great food and great staff with a beautiful view over the river. This became our local pub when staying in Battersea. It was always so popular which really added to the buzzy atmosphere. Nicky, Kerry and Annie were particularly welcoming and we befriended them during our stay. They were happy to have our two small dogs sit with us in the restaurant, which made it the perfect place for dinner. The chef’s Sunday Chicken roast was a big hit, this is not just pub grub- these guys know what they’re doing! We will be back hopefully next year :) Best pub in London!

La primera vez en este pub aunque supongo que es muy popular (estaba muy ocupado cuando estuvimos allí el viernes 13). Pedí a Sapo en el agujero. Era completamente incomestible. Rebozado crudo y salchicha mal cocida. Incluso las camareras reconocieron que la masa estaba cruda. Ella se lo llevó al chef y me dijeron "la grasa no estaba lo suficientemente caliente". No hay oferta para reemplazarlo y, sí, estaba en la factura. Cuando lo consulté las camareras (que era muy amable) no se ofreció a quitarlo. Con todo horrible, nunca volvería

We had a party of 4 for Christmas lunch and we would all highly recommend the Ship. The cockney lady at front of house is amazing - such a caring, lovely welcoming person, she’s a credit to the pub. Very generous servings and the food was lovely. One of the party had duck which we preferred a bit less rare and they took it back & made a new one, no fuss, no problem - great service. It had a lovely log burner going when you enter too which was so nice.

Fantastic Christmas Day lunch! Staff were so friendly and really looked after us, including my 4 month old son. We received a handwritten Christmas card at the table which was a really nice touch. Food was great. I had the duck and preferred it more well cooked, staff took it back with no fuss and the kitchen cooked me a brand new meal. Highly recommend this pub!

The Ship is always a good place to be; there is always a great atmosphere. The food is good and there's plenty of space indoors and outdoors.

Even when The Ship is busy, you never feel neglected. The super friendly staff work really hard to look after you. Thank you Bella, who was amazingly energetic, and made our last visit a fun experience. There is a great selection of tasty food, so you are covered, no matter what you fancy. All the candles (which must take ages to light) and twinkly lights make for a cosy, warm glow atmosphere. Kerry and all her team are incredibly welcoming and make this a fun place to eat and drink, whether you are in a big group of friends or just having a quiet dinner for two. So chuffed to have this as my local!

Smashing riverside pub, very large outdoor area, and decent food. Sunday roast and burger shack are good. Worth a visit, but does cater to a younger crowd so be aware.

Service was excellent for pre-lunch food and for a formal sit down lunch. I cannot fault the food, staff or location. We did not take advantage of sitting by the river as it was a cold December day of -2c and it got colder the darker it got. I was surprised at the price of beer and wine but I guess that's the going rate for pints of beer and glasses of wine. I will return.

This is a local pub to me that used to be fantastic for food. Not any more. I just paid £20 for a so-called fish stew. What turned up was a large saucer full of salty white liquid with a few pieces of fish and seafood thrown in and - wait for it .- croutons! Seriously. Don’t you have croutons with soup and potatoes with stew?? Needless to say, no bread accompaniment. What has happened to The Ship? It used to be so good. Not any more. Serious p**s take!

We had a very tasty lunch and were looked after by very helpful staff. Thank you all very much. We’ll be back again for lunch with two other friends before Christmas.

Bella and Jazz were great. We were a group of 12 with no reserved table but these two went above and beyond to still give amazing service and kept our group smiling.

The food was good the service was alright and the atmosphere was ok but the only thing is that its too limited for kids with them not allowed in the outdoor area

Went there on a rugby night, the place was very noisy and it was difficult to hear the people at the same table. Went there before, on a mid week day the ambience would have been good. Fish and chips was good but the desserts definitely not worth the money (panna cotta was more like a kids portion and the sticky toffee pudding didn’t taste much)

A bustling, riverside, character, pub and restaurant which obviously gets repeated custom !!! It was a big rugby day, and most tables were booked - highly recommended - post 4.30pm, but fortunately, I visited enough time before this to enjoy a meal and a few drinks. Service, via the Youngs app, was very quick, although the app didn't show wines by the glass easily, and if you make a mistake, you have to empty the whole basket - APP BEWARE !!! The food was high quality and very nice, drinks too. My only complaint was that - and as it's getting colder - there was an awful draught every time the door opened because the door heater was broken. Hopefully, it will be fixed before I return for a winter burger !!!!

Tuvimos un día tranquilo. Había 3 mesas en la zona de restaurantes. El servicio era lento. Supongo que no estoy acostumbrado a los precios de Londres. Era caro por encima de la comida media del pub. Lo más destacado fueron los grandes tater tots y el pegajoso pudín de toffee. Yo volveré. La señora australiana que nos atendió fue muy amable y dulce.

Such a lovely place for a Sunday roast

Gran experiencia y comida arruinada al final por mensajes contradictorios. Después de una gran comida con postres decidimos pedir algunas bebidas adicionales, a saber, un Baileys Hot chocolate y un Baileys Coffee, luego recibimos un Baileys regular con hielo y un Jameson Whisky con hielo. Le dijimos al barman que no los pedimos y nos dijeron que no te preocupes, solo se desperdiciarán, ya que hubo un error. Otra camarera nos dijo lo mismo de nuevo que no nos cobrarían por las bebidas incorrectas. Luego recibimos nuestras bebidas correctas. Al recibir la factura de nuestra camarera principal notamos su incomodidad al presentar la factura que sí incluía las bebidas por las que nos dijeron que no nos iban a cobrar. Ya habíamos decidido pagar por ellos de todos modos, pero nos sentimos decepcionados por que nos dijeron dos veces que era su error, ¿no te preocupes por ello? Solo podemos adivinar que alguien más decidió agregarlo a la factura ya que no aceptaría la pérdida causada por un miembro del personal. Un serio conflicto de declaraciones que dejó un sabor amargo a una experiencia de cena dominical por lo demás genial.

Fab pub around the corner from our hotel we were holed up in for the weekend work we were doing! Booked a table of 12 with no issues for a late Sunday lunch and we were all blown away how good the food was & how reasonable too! Most had the Trio of Roast and lots of desserts and soft drinks too. Couldn’t fault anything, even the mix up with the Pea & Ham soup (lol). All in all, great atmosphere in the pub, super friendly waiting staff, and a very reasonable priced Sunday dinner. Keep up the great work and we’ll be back again soon 🙏🏻

Lovely service from one of the waiting team, super friendly and very welcoming! I had the quiche and the pie which was 10/10, my boyfriend had the scallops and the bourgignon which he loved! Highly recommend, will definitely be back!

Went to the Ship to meet a friend last friday, had really lovely young server and she made us feel very welcome. She recommended the fish and chips which were delicious and generous portion, and she also recommended the house wine which was delightful! Will be going back😉😻🙈🦋⛵️

We just went around with my friend and saw this pub . We had just a couple of beers, not food. The atmosphere was amazing, and the taste of music was absolutely great We will definitely come back.

Ok so they didn't have what I ordered but went above and beyond to make it right. Really nice place. The staff were great. The location is really nice and you can see that the place is well run and looked after. Great selection of beers.

We had a fantastic Sunday roast, and the scotch egg was delicious—the kitchen was really on point! The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere had a relaxed, chilled vibe. However, we had some issues with the restaurant's app, so took a while to get attention from staff and order food/drinks. It also took a while for drinks to arrive, as the floor staff seemed a bit overwhelmed.

I hired this venue for a 50th Birthday party. The venue is great, the staff are excellent and the atmosphere they have got absolutely spot on. I would hire this place again. The whole experience was a breath of fresh air. Flexble, friendly and really good fun. Well done to The Ship

This is a bit of a local beer 🍺 and food spot for me seeing as I’m around the corner, can I just say this place never fails to uphold an incredible standard, beautiful people, friendly staff and beer on tap all night long. Added to that the amazing atmosphere and river front location this is definitely a destination spot for the young, trendy and fun loving. Expect good vibes reasonable prices for the area and lots of fun!

The atmosphere and the welcome could not be faulted and the food excellent good pub food. Wew shall be back many more times. The location, being by the river only adds to the experience - recommended
