It is pretty nice, food is nice, service is fast. Mostly young people. It would have been a lot nicer if it wasn’t occupied by man children last sunday. Not the pubs fault

Great place to get a few drinks and some food , outside area over looking The river Thames

Usually love this place but table service wasn’t ideal this time and took over 40 mins to get drinks.

Stopped by for a pint and a quick lunch. It's got a really casual fun atmosphere outside and bit more up market vibes inside. Highly recommend the steak and Stilton baguette, don't recommend the chicken sandwich. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing by.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March whilst sight seeing going to a West End show and walking the Thames path Enjoyed my stay nice comfy room home from home.Wonderful friendly staff who assisted with everything lovely customers and pizza was excellent. Location was good easy to get to by riverbus DLR walking and buses for Greenwich Canary Wharf and the City went a nice walk around the area and the riverside people were really friendly wonderful weekend break in a nice little haven l liked it very much especially being a senior solo traveler I shall be returning in summer 😊

Ditch the plastic glasses for ales. They look terrible, you can't see if the beer is hazy or not. Such a turn down.

Nice bar with very good and attentive staff. Always a nice touch to go back to the bar and they ask for same again..!

Food was nice but nothing special, had roast pork but was mainly fat, expensive for what I got, limited veg, desert was good had Bakewell tart. Service was not good, took 30 mins to take our order then another 50 minutes before food arrived.

A must go to pub for sport and great views over the Thames.

I frequent this place often. And the atmosphere is always friendly, lively, and enjoyable. I have never not been here and not had a good time. Fantastic outdoor seating area for all weather and all year. I will happily sit here all day!

The Ship has got better over recent years IMO. The food is now of a high quality and better than other local pubs. The burger shack is always great in summer too. The wine choices are good - they finally have some proper craft beer too (Hepcat). Long may it continue!

Served in a 4 year old plastic cup in the bar for £7.20. Shan’t return. EDIT: Contrary to what the business responded - Glass glasses were being used by other patrons in the bar.

We visited for Sunday Lunch on 11 Feb. Food was delicious (a vegetarian wellington (with vegan gravy and yorkshires) and a roast beef. Utterly delicious. And the staff and service also make it such a lovely experience. We go out less and less these days as are often disappointed with food quality and service but The Ship always delivers!

Great day watching the rugby ! Really buzzy atmosphere and Youngs beer. We thought the rugby “snacks” that came with the table reservation (£50) was a bit steep for the amount of food, the food was nice though.

We booked out the restaurant for our wedding reception and everything was perfect!! The food and service were incredible.. our compliments to the chefs and everyone working because they absolutely smashed it!! From the moment we booked Karmen was so helpful with getting everything sorted and was very attentive to every detail of the day. Everyone involved was great and made it a very special day!!

Delicious burger and was very quiet on Wednesday evening at 6ish. It gets busy from around 7:00pm as they have a quiz night from 8pm!

The Ship is an exceptionally popular pub that is buzzing with fun crowds all year around - the absolute perfect spot for summer days with the massive outdoor space which includes a deck on the water and large covered spaces. Perfect for winter too! They've often got live music or something fun going on, and their service is always top notch! Spectacular pub, couldn't rate it highly enough!

The Ship never disappoints with food. I had Leek and Chicken Pie which was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. They are very welcoming to dogs and make no fuss about where they sit.

Great pub next to Wandsworth bridge by the river Thames, went for a couple drinks and some food. I ordered the fish and chips and was shocked with the size and quality, the portion was huge and the quality of the fish was excellent!! Would definitely recommend !

Turkey Meal excessive amount on plate and tasteless what a waste and Description on menu sirloin of beef did not advise to be served in pastry no chestnut stuffing just mushrooms. Spaniel dog allowed to race around restaurant and later on owner allowed to bring poodle in. I thought only dogs who support blind people allowed in some restaurants. To finish when I checked my bill the amount due was in excess because another customers item had been added

The food is FABULOUS! It was full, so service a little slow, but on the whole the staff are very friendly while doing a hectic job. Highly recommended.

Stupid me for not going to The Ship for a Sunday Roast for years. The food was INCREDIBLE. The pictures don't do it justice. The Veg option was especially divine, The Chicken looked and was told was fantastic. The yorkies werelargeandsuperlight. My only complaint would be a couple more potatoes and extra gravy would have been ideal 😋, as could have eaten more. Its Great location and outside dining was fab And being Dog friendly a bonus. Looking forward to going again. Thank you

A lovely pub with great space and lots of different areas. Was well heated in the outside area and blankets are provided. Just extremely shocked that a mulled wine knocked us back by over 11 quid. Seems extortionate?! Must be a stunning venue in summer.

I came for the sip and paint party and have to say it was amazing! The mulled wine and gin were delicious. The offer said it came with mince pies, but they had even thought about gluten free people, like me, and offered some gluten free brownies as well. The staff were so brilliant, I got home and instantly booked for the wreath making.

Very good ambience, food selection although kind of limited (more of an issue of British gastronomy in general though) is very well done, would recommend

A solid pub on the bank of the Thames you can really settle in for the day or night. A good selection of spirits, pints, and holiday specials to keep you happy. The menu has all the British classics and the roasts make any Sunday. So relax inside or outside looking out over the river and enjoy your time rain or shine.

I had a lovely evening with friends at The Ship on Saturday evening. We sat outside. It was so cozy. The decor made me feel like I was in a ski resort. Love the addition of the fire pit. The team was friendly and attentive and the food was great.

Fabulous venue. Great atmosphere, food always excellent and a cut above what you would normally expect even from a gastro pub, backed up by fantastic staff who go beyond the call of duty and do everything with a smile.

Cricket club dinner in private room, The Boardroom. We were very well looked after throughout. The 3 course dinner was exceptional value at £35, the belly of pork as good as several of the group have ever had. Decent wine list too. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We had great tasty food served by pleasant and helpful staff. As it was mid week it was a calm environment without much noise. This is much appreciated by those whose hearing is not too good!

I recently visited The Ship and had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff greeted us with a smile and made us feel right at home. We decided to try the whisky sours, which were recommended to us, and they did not disappoint. The balance of flavors was perfect, and they were incredibly refreshing. It was evident that the bartenders took pride in their craft. For dinner, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of knowledge and attentiveness of the staff. I have a food allergy, and they handled it with utmost care and professionalism. They were able to provide me with suitable options and ensured that my meal was prepared safely. This attention to detail made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. The food itself was delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the game pie and the The flavors were well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous Overall, our experience at The Ship was exceptional. The combination of great drinks, delicious food, and attentive staff made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a fantastic dining and drinking experience.

Great location, food and atmosphere

Utterly shambolic. We visited as a couple with a baby fur Sunday roast. Upon arrival we were told to wait at the bar while our table was readied which delayed us 10 minutes. Nobody then took our order for ages. Finally, we got someone’s attention and placed it. After some time our starter of ‘home made olive bread with salted butter’ arrived. What was actually placed on the table was plain shop white bread, toasted randomly on one side only and burnt, with a pot of what was clearly margarine. A plate of pigs and blankets was also placed on the table despite it clearly having been ordered as a side and sitting in the sides section of the menu. No cutlery or napkins were provided so we couldn’t spread the margarine and had to dunk the bread. I would have sent this back but it was dumped on the table and it was then impossible to get anyone’s attention and we needed the bread for the baby to have some finger food. Eventually I went up to our waiter and queried the bread not fitting the description and why our side had appeared without a main and asked for cutlery and was told it would be taken care of. A new waitress appeared who was better, but asked whether we wanted the bread taken off the bill rather than offering this or apologising for the false advertising on the menu. I asked for the untouched and now cold pigs in blankets to be removed and a fresh plate delivered with the meal and again this was received in a manner that suggested I was perhaps being unreasonably demanding. Finally after 1 hour 20 minutes after our arrival our mains arrived. Our baby had been sitting in a high chair for much of this time and was not unreasonably getting fractious making it impossible to enjoy the meal. The ‘roast potatoes’ had been parboiled but not roasted for any significant time and were completely pale. The adjacent table was also outraged by their wait time and the food and untreated roast potatoes. False advertising on menu and a kitchen that can’t cope.

I used to cross the river from time to time during the Summers to visit The Ship when I was in my 20s to enjoy the outdoor the pub’s atmospheric river-side beer garden, just before the place acquired (fairly it should be said) a reputation for drawing in very large and somewhat unconrollable crowds of recent graduates from the surrounding areas of SW London (you’ll know the type) on weekends and bank holidays. It became such a problem that at one point you’d get literally 100s of people turning up with alcohol from local supermarkets and drinking in the surrounding streets and I believe at one point they lost their licence to open on the Sunday of a Bank Holiday weekend but that could just be an urban rumour. I recently returned one wet Wednesday evening in November for a more sober(ish) occasion, being some impromptu birthday drinks for an old friend. Wednesday happens to be when The Ship holds its weekly pub quiz and so huddled inside, it turned out to be a rather cosy affair in familiar surroundings. A number of us ordered food and I had a very decent burger and chips which came out rapidly, was reasonably priced and tasty. It was an enjoyable evening on the whole and pleased to see the place has matured a bit as I expect we also have. The quiz was also rather fun and dogs seem to be welcome as their were several in the pub.

A great place to watch the Rugby World Cup. I booked for 10 people and we had a private covered booth area outside with our own screen. They have a fire on inside which is perfect for winter months too

What is happening? Standing at the till with a food and wine menu. Seen by two waitresses at the bar. Both walked off - one literally looking at me as she did. Another arrives at the bar and suddenly a footy team arrives. Clearly mates. Doesn't even blink and takes an order for ten. Simple solution. The Tommyfield.

Only stopped for a drink to enjoy the last kiss of summer. Lovely staff, great watering hole & a great social spot.

Crazy Place, great to meet new people. Go a bit earlier when you would like to sit down, it can be very full at some points of time.

Such a lovely bar to sit down in and unwind, decently priced food and drink. Julia was an excellent waitress and really made our evening, she was very attentive, made sure our food was ok and took great care of us. Excited to come down again soon!

Visited as it was mentioned in the Thames path book but was a bit disappointed. Ordered a chicken club sandwich and played a game of spot the chicken which at £11 is a bit wrong. Not in a hurry to return.

Stopped of here on a walk by the Thames. Was a brilliant find, food was delicious and atmosphere was very relaxed

It had been a while since we last went to The Ship for a bit but we could well remember the fabulous food they used to serve…. Sadly it was an incredibly disappointing night out. Every single bite of every single item ordered was substandard and overpriced. So very disappointing! It remains a lovely place for a drink, but ensure you eat before heading there.

Absolutely terrible service, we were meant to have table service where we were sitting (and it wasn’t busy in this area) but we were ignored and had to eventually wait in a long queue at the bar to get served

Visited for the first time on the weekend, the standard across the board was excellent. The staff were great, both welcoming and accommodating. The food we ordered was on point and from visiting other Young's pubs it was head and shoulders above others. Alongside this the environment was clean and open, I'd recommend this pub to anyone heading to area and it definitely reflects a well run establishment.

What an amazing venue, great vibes , great people and lovely food. Would highly recommend the roasts on Sundays , the portions are perfect and the staff are excellent and the service is is quick, was served by Lockie this Sunday and he was a lovely gentlemen giving good wine recommendations and a good laugh!

Late afternoon brunch and drink, fast clean good thank you

Good Young's pub close to the South end of Wandsworth Bridge. Four cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I last visited. Loads of outdoor, seating, much overlooking the river, most of it covered.

Been going to the Ship for years now- and there is truly nothing better than sitting outside on the decking with a glass of Spritz on a sunny afternoon. The menu seems to have changed recently and had a good selection of salads to choose from on the lunch menu. Staff was helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Had a very nice Waldorf salad - fresh and delicious. I will be back soon

Great drinks great atmosphere!!!

Although we had booked for the main restaurant we were informed we could only eat in the bar restaurant as the main restaurant is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Not only is this not noted on the website but we had actually eaten in the main restaurant on the previous Monday, Having placed our food order we were told that dishes were not available as one of us had been given the Sunday menu in error. The battered haddock & chips were very poor - the fish very overcooked & the chips not hot. The Grilled Peaches & Burrata Salad had no dressing & there were only a couple of very thin slices of peach. An extremely disappointing experience & we were so thankful that we had not invited friends to join us. We have dined many times at The Ship in the past but will not be returning any time soon,

Great pub alongside the river. Has loads of seating inside and outside. Big menu with a lot of drinks and great food options.

For years, I've frequented this pub, and it's an absolute gem. Situated by the river, the location offers stunning views and a vast outdoor area perfect for dining and unwinding. There's a burger bar and another bar outside, which is especially enjoyable during good weather. Inside, you'll find a cozy fireplace and a spacious restaurant area. Keep in mind that it gets quite popular on weekends. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the concrete-making facility nearby.

My wife and I visited here for the evening. We ordered via the app only to realise that we had more options if we ordered via the menu. Any how, we were outside which was lovely. A nice vibe with lovely outside lights. Unfortunately we were underneath the City Airport flight plan, so every 45 seconds a plane flew over. The staff were lovely and the food was delivered quickly. My wife’s fish and chips were lovely however my meal was seriously let down. Burger and chips!! The chips were extremely lovely, however the burger was like eating a 1980s Clarke’s shoe but less delicious: For drinks I would come back again, but for food probably not.

I went to The Ship on a rainy Sunday as I was staying in a hotel nearby. I have to admit, it was an AMAZING atmosphere with some nice tunes. The service by Brian was impeccable!!! What a lad :) overall smashing venue with lovely Sunday roast available. Strongly recommend!
