Wow!! Party of 12. Went for bottomless brunch, drinks served 45 mins after we arrived, food all arrived at different times, food was cold! Had to go to bar for drinks after another 30 mins. Absolutely do NOT recommend this. Awful service and I feel so bad for the young girl who was serving us.

Had our wedding reception at the Bank on Sat 03 September.It was a fantastic day the team at the bank arranged everything from food to flowers it all ran so smoothly and had great feedback from all our guests.would definitely recommend this as a venue.

The Bank has gone down hill in the cocktail department. It used to be great and high quality, a place to go too for a good coktail your happy to pay a premium for. Now they serve you a cocktail out of a packet, no fresh fruit and no imagination (limited list). The place itself has little to no atmosphere. However garden looks good and love the pics on the wall.

I called in for quick pre dinner drinks midweek. The bar was quiet, but still gave a good feel. Nice comfy seating, and well made drinks awaits. Worth a visit.

This was a very disappointing visit. The food took at least 45 minutes to get to us. Given that the place was virtually empty and not busy at all we couldn’t understand why it took so long. When it did arrive it was incredibly disappointing. The portions were minuscule. For the price they were charging this was really poor value. I asked for a basic drink which they didn’t have the ingredients for. Again very disappointing. When the food arrived it was only just warm but partly burnt. Not enjoyable at all. Both my husband and myself have both agreed that we would never visit here again. It’s very sad as it never used to be this bad. Slightly concerned by writing this review as I have seen the rude response to previous reviews from the management. However, I think it’s important that locals realise this is not the place it used to be and is poor value for money and poorly managed. I can only hope that instead of responding in a negative way to peoples genuine reviews the management put the effort into improving the quality of food.

Shocking experience! No social distancing, staff with masks round their chins, took an age to get served, drinks orders wrong, food took 45mins, cold/tepid, items missing and tapas size selection tiny. Staff didn’t have a clue.../.not their fault. Would never return and 1 star is generous. Spend your money elsewhere.

Came here for a meal with friends for a post lockdown treat. Took our table, pretty quiet and then it slowly filled up. Every table filled with less than 1/2 metre between tables. We couldn’t even move to another table because we were uncomfortable because every table was full. Packed in like sardines, no distancing in place. Food was average.

Avoid avoid avoid! Drinks orders wrong three times; crammed in, no social distancing at all, had to ask to move tables so not to be within 15 centimetres of strangers (couldn’t even get into seats without asking strangers to pull chairs in). Food hadn’t arrived after 50 minutes, on asking if food was coming was asked by waitress who took our food order if we had ordered food? Food appeared..was cold, tiny portions and disgusting. Part of order was also missing. I didn’t eat any of mine as it was a cold and so disgusting . Avoid avoid avoid.

The bank is always my go to restaurant when eating out. I tried their take out and it was terrible. Half my order was missing and when I called, the woman I spoke to was so rude it was unreal. I asked if money was going to be taken off my order as I will now have to eat half my food cold, and also for the inconvenience. She said no you either have the food that was missing delivered or nothing. She then told me to enjoy eating food elsewhere!! Shocking!!

My sons decided to treat me to an evening of cocktails. We were "greeted" by a pretty surly guy at the door who asked my son to present ID which is fair enough but despite it being in a transparent casing, he insisted he removed it. I was in old town again yesterday early evening and my friend wanted to go in the Bank...this same guy (bald) was on the door and this time refused entry saying they dont accept walk in customers...whether true or not, he has a really poor attitude. Back to last week....we were seated at 7.15...after 20 minutes someone came to take the order with first drinks arriving at 8...45 minute wait in total. The place is staffed by young people who had a nice friendly attitude but seemed to operate in a system of chaos. While we were waiting for drink 1 at least 3 other staff asked if we wanted to order or were waiting. Wait times continued to be long. As the evening wore on there were other basic issues...for the pornstar martinis they ran out of shot glasses for the prosecco, the espresso martinis tasted of a mixer and ended up being served in gin bowl glasses meaning the froth head completely disappeared. The bill was very high in terms of the service issues and drinks quality.

Two friends & I ate at the bank in April 2021. Firstly, we tried to order pizzas, they then said they didn’t have any pizzas in stock despite initially not telling us this and it being early evening this was a surprise. We then choose the Tapas, 12 dishes for £50. What we were served was absolutely tiny, no sauces and most of it clearly just heated from frozen. I wouldn’t have paid £10 for it yet £50. Was once a regular for their pizzas but would never eat here again.

Wow! Due to lockdown and having to to cook all family meals, was advised to try this restaurant for Sunday lunch and boy was I pleased with the food and service. Quality produce well cooked, portions were more than enough. Highly recommended. Certainly made my Sunday more enjoyable and it was delivered hot and good to go. Well done guys will be ordering more often now I know.

We recently went for a bottomless brunch at the old bank and had a great experience. We went for unlimited Prosecco and chose the tapas option. Our waitress Jasmine was very attentive and couldn’t help enough. The food was as good as the service which was excellent and we would recommend to all. Thank you again!

I am really surprised to read so many negative comments. On Saturday my wife ant I went to the Old Bank for Brunch, both the food and the service were amazing, and all at a very reasonable price. We have recommended the restaurant to friends, and intend to book a table for brunch tomorrow with a guest. I would also like to mention that the the two pints of stela we ordered were crisp and fresh, who ever looks after the cellar knows what they are doing.

My friend (who is gluten intolerant) and I visited The Bank after looking at the menu and seeing that it clearly stated ‘gluten free options available’ at the bottom. We arrived, sat down and asked to see a gluten free menu. The waiter then told us that they don’t do any gluten free food. At this we were quite shocked as we have never been anywhere before that doesn’t do anything gluten free. We proceeded to tell him that her food doesn’t need to be cooked in its own environment as she has an intolerance not an allergy however he still insisted that they couldn’t do anything for her. When we asked him about the menu stating that GF options were available, he then told us that it was an old menu that just hadn’t been changed yet. Considering the menu offers dishes like steak and sea bass (which don’t include gluten anyway) we were pretty appalled that there was being absolutely no effort made to help someone with a dietary requirement. It goes without saying that we then had to leave. Do not visit this restaurant.

Due to illness at home, we decided to find a restaurant that would deliver a Sunday Roast, The Bank in Old Town came out with good reviews and a good selection of food for a reasonable price. 3 roast dinners were ordered, and I was told they required an hour to organise, and cash on delivery wasn't a problem. We waited for an hour and a half before the food arrived and the desserts were missing, I phoned and was told they would send them straight away, a further 45 minutes later and the desserts arrived. The meal overall was not as expected - the beef was a bit fatty and the chicken breast was quite small. The roast potatoes were tasty, but the veg was disappointing, I asked how many packs there were meant to be for 3 roast meals and I was told there is 1 per 2 meals, which I thought was quite disappointing

Waited a while in the entrance before anyone came to seat us despite members of staff looking at us. Later this happened to another couple that arrived and in the end turned round and left as the manager seemed more interested in dealing with the Just Eat/Deliveroo drivers that kept appearing. We were seated and offered menus and drink order was taken. I ordered a Becks...god knows what was wrong with it but it tasted disgusting. I took it back to the bar and was asked if I wanted another one or something else..whilst it was replaced there was no apology given. On booking it was clearly stated that there was 50% off all food so we ordered starters, mains and dessert each. The food was average, nothing exceptional. As soon as we put down our dessert spoons the waiter appeared with the card machine. There was no 50% deduction so I told him to rectify that which he then did. We both agreed we probably wouldnt go back.

Came here Saturday night and do agree doorman does not have the best customer service, first impressions mean a lot so work to be done in my opinion,food was not the best my wife had the chicken supreme and the mash was very lumpy and was served with a very tough leg of chicken on top, when I had this the week before it was lovely with a nice breast of chicken so not sure which should be served waitress was told about this and reply was “I don’t know what is up with kitchen today”and that was it, so emailed next day to let them know my experience and still no reply so I have had to leave this 2 star review I shall try again but if same will never return

Sadly when I popped in the member of staff ‘On Duty’ was unfriendly and not at all welcoming. Didn’t bother to stay and wait for 3 friends had planned to meet up there just text them from more friendly place next door. This place seems to have changed or I had the wrong member of staff?

Had a great Sunday lunch. 16:30 best time for us. Great service, lots of veg n gravy. Really impressed, what’s not to like?

Came to have a few drinks with friends. Waited in the line outside until a security man comes up to us saying there’s no room for us even though we were meeting friends in there and they say they had room on their table. Even having told the security man this he rudely and bluntly says we have to sit outside in the cold and rain where there are no heaters and barely any lighting. This security man did not make us feel welcome at all. He had little respect for us as a group because of our age and if we were a group of 30+ year olds I definitely think he would have had handled the situation with more respect. I felt uncomfortable being in there and he really did dampen the whole mood for the rest of the night. Once sat down I ordered my drink which I waited to come for around 30/40 mins until I went up to the bar to ask where it was. The guy at the bar was certain my drink had been sent to my table and I just didn’t realise because I must have looked like some kind of idiot to him. Fair play, I know these things happen but I would have just loved for him to say sorry and make me my drink.Thank you to the guy for finally making my drink, was nothing special especially for the price but that’s what to expect from places like this. Only stayed for one drink and went, won’t be coming back anytime soon :)

We were celebrating my daughter finding her wedding dress on Saturday and she chose this restaurant. It was not busy and there appeared plenty of staff. We were ignored for more time than I found comfortable, despite staff walking about. It doesn't take long for someone to say, "be with you shortly".We asked to move from the front seats as far too cold and busy area. We had to chase the drinks and one drink did not come at all. These drinks fool no one. So much ice and so very little drink. Food order went smoothly.We ordered a shared Camembert starter, with 2 other choices. We asked for side plates. None came and this was awkward for 3 of us. No staff passed to ask again. It still was not busy. I had surf and turf, as did one of my daughter's. Prawns small inside, but beautifully presented and tasty. My steak was very chewy despite only asking for rare and a third was inedible gristle. My daughter faired a little better, but definitely not worth £26, as the plate is mostly filled with chips.My other daughter had a pizza and loved it. This had all taken so long we had no time left for dessert.It wasn't ever that busy, there were lots of staff, but staff are forgetful and take ages.So many other places to choose from. You can't keep expecting support when you are not either value for money, or offer good service.

We filled in our track and trace details on arrival and ordered and paid for our cocktails through the QR code system which was easy and straightforward which meant we didn’t need to keep going up or inside to order. We sat outside and felt the whole set up and ambience (even in a pandemic) was brilliant. Helpful, polite and friendly staff and a lovely afternoon.

We booked a table for 6 o'clock by phone ,they could not find our booking,we were shown to a table at the back of the restaurant near to an exit door,we had to order the meal on the phone so no waitress service which we were not happy about as it took forever,we were sat under a air con unit which was blowing cold air and it took 3 attempts to get it turned off,during our meal there was a constant amount of people going out the back door and slamming it shut which was very annoying and spoiled the evening, as this was a special birthday treat for the family,a disappointing night out for us all.

It was a brief visit, admittedly. And also in these strange and uncertain times. However, we did not expect to be signed in shown to a table in the lower outside seating area and ignored for 20mins. Despite telling waiting staff where we were sat. Got bored and went around the corner to the Vic whose staff were friendly, relaxed and knew how to serve at the table.

Popped in on a Saturday evening for pizza. Seemed to get quite busy by 6pm which was lovely to see. Made everything feel normal. Pizza took quite a while (30-35 mins) but I was happy to wait. Pizza was bigger and dough was thicker than I thought it would be but pretty tasty and filling. However my boyfriend and I decided there did seem to be something missing. Maybe needed a couple more varieties of cheese. Door was also constantly open which created quite a chilly draft. Anyway, I’d eat there again as burgers looked epic and tapas sounded great.

Great service and food. Post lock down first trip out Witt the family. All went well, clean attentive and great.

After being left down by Miller & Carter Swindon, our group of 12 booked a table with the bank and turned up 10 minutes later. considering we are in a global pandemic the service was spot on and the food was fab! Couldn’t recommend enough, would definitely go back for a work Meal! Thank you x

We picked up a Sunday Roast from the Wood Street premises, a good and reassuringly safe in and out system was in place with social distancing and staff in face masks and disposable gloves. The food was superb with everything you could want separately packaged and beautifully cooked.A lovely way of reducing the washing up and enjoying a change at home.

We went to the Bank on “Friday 13th”no need to worry - we had a fantastic time - food was excellent & what made it even better was the efficiency & friendliness of all the staff - leaving enough time in between courses - whilst being attentive not overpowering- owner Manni was also sat in the restaurant with friends ensuring all went well & customers had the best experience - will return soon.

Did the bottomless brunch option with 4 friends - this is limited to 2 hours , which wouldn’t have been a problem if the service hadn’t been so extremely slow ( probably to prevent you ordering several cheap Prosecco,s in the timeframe ! Wouldn’t do it again

I went for a friend's birthday celebration and it was superb. The food was excellent, the staff did a great job of handling a large group, and drinks afterwards were great. Everyone had a superb night. Highly recommended.

Last Friday, I met some friends for a long overdue catch up over dinner. I mention long overdue as it implies we anticipated being there all evening. On arrival at 7:30, we were informed we would have to be gone by 10 as it was Brazilian Night. Why were we not informed about this when making the reservation? Had we known our evening was to be cut short then we would have gone elsewhere. However, we stayed. The drinks took forever to arrive - only after reminders did they turn up but after that we were given what you can only describe as "the bum's rush". No sooner had we been given menus then we were asked to choose. We asked for time to consider our options and twice more the waiting staff appeared with pad and pen, hovering over the table. We ordered, the food arrived promptly and it was very nice - no complaints there. Plates were whipped away and dessert menus arrived immediately whilst in the background furniture was being moved so noisily. we could barely hear our conversation. The front door was clearly left open, it was so cold in there one customer put her fur coat back on to eat her meal! We chose 2 desserts to share and got the bill at 9:30, disappointed to find that no concession would be made for this miserable environment and rushed service. Despite the good food, I think we'll find another venue next time where we're made to feel welcome.

The most appalling service I’ve ever received in this county. Came to the Old Bank for a roast to celebrate my Nans birthday, granted we were a big table but have never had any issue before. I turned up early with the birthday cake and before I could explain why I was early the waiter aggressively told me that the table was booked for 1.30 making it seem an inconvenience I was there. After I explained he still remained aggressive asking me if it needed to go in the freezer (an unusual question for a cake). I then asked where the toilets were (I’m not local and didn’t have my glasses on) and he told me to look at the signs. When everyone arrived it took 20 mins to sort a drinks order out and that seemed to confuse the weighted even though it was fairly simple as most of us were on soft drinks. Our starters took a long time to come and when they did arrive they were not worth the wait, the bread in the prawn cocktail was stale and have tasted better versions from a supermarkets lunch offering and the blue cheese dip had no blue cheese in it. We had to ask three times for jugs of water. It took two hours for us to get our mains, granted we were a big table but we were all having roasts so it was not a complicated order. I have never had to wait so long for food and by this point everyone was hungry and frustrated. I even had to leave to put more car parking money on! The food arrived and again it wasn’t worth the wait, the pork belly was barely edible, the lamb was fatty and the bottom of mine was crispy to the point of burning. One of the meals just didn’t show up, and so my brother had to wait an extra 10 mins. The apology drink they gave him was not even what he ordered. Even the tiny details they couldn’t get right - there were no spoons for the sauces. A complete shambles! The managers initial response was that we should have been asked to pre-order. Again, their mistake and not ours. The most abysmal service with poor food to accompany it. Would tell people to avoid. It spoilt my Nans 85th birthday and none of us will be coming back again.

We recently visited the bank for a bottomless brunch just after Christmas as a group of friends to have a bit of a celebration, sceptical about the deal but we shouldn't have been, a group of 8 of us drinking and 1 not, we went for the unlimited deal with main meal each and landed a bottle of prosecco to share until it was finished. As anything you get value if you like a drink and we did. The staff were friendly, the food was good and we got few a fair amount of bottles of prosecco. Value for money for sure!

Went for a birthday but have been before both food and for a drink service is always very good and food is quick and tasty . Would recommend the pork belly . And a wide range of cocktails on offer well worth a visit .

I went with work friends to celebrate an 18th birthday and the service was amazing, they serve Great food and there is a wide range of cocktails and drinks to choose from, they also play good music

Works Christmas meal, Luke warm roast turkey dinner, one friend sent hers back as veg was stone cold, gravy didn’t arrive for a good 5 mins, very sad looking meal for price.

In our opinion The Bank does the best Sunday lunch in Swindon! We try to go at least once a month. The staff are great and Manni always gives us a very warm welcome. You might bump into Marco Pierre White, as he is also a regular.

Stupidly didn’t book and turned up and the staff were brilliant at fitting us in somewhere - it was rammed with a great atmosphere!

The service was good, the menu had a nice variety of food to choose from. Good selection of drinks and some nice Gins. Nice atmosphere but the food was not as expected as the burger was horrible and resembled some sort of preformed meat with a horrible texture. I would have expected it to be made from minced beef but the texture was all wrong. Two of us had the burger and it was the same for both of us.

Visited for a Sunday Roast today and food was amazing service by Sammi was first class, couldn’t do enough for us. Been here a few times now and food is always lovely. Sammi our waitress is so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend can’t fault it.

Wow, wow and wow. We used to be regulars and are over the moon to see that Manni and his team are back doing what we remember them for. Unbelievable roast beef, remarkable service, warm and lively ambience. Absolutely faultless and sooooooo delicious. Worth a visit just for the beef

We had a wonderful time at our daughter’s graduation celebration on 11th October. Great atmosphere, great service, great cocktails and fab food. Thank you. We’ll be using again!

Just finished an amazing Sunday lunch here. We used to go but stopped when it was an Italian but now it’s back to its best. Service was excellent from Sammy, drinks and food ordered quickly and arrived in good time. All the food on the plate was brilliant. If you want to you can have a different meat for an extra £3 which is totally worth it. All expected trimmings and there’s plenty to go round. I really recommend going but you will need to book otherwise you will either have w long wait or be disappointed as you watch the food go by! We will be returning for sure!

The best Sunday roast in any pub or restaurant I have had- the food was excellent, the service second to non and generous portions. I would highly recommend The Bank.

Must be the Best Sunday lunch in this Area. Good choice of Meat, freshly cooked vegetables, nice crispy roast potatoes all piping hot. Also Ample Portions coupled with good attentive service made it a very enjoyable experience at a reasonable price.

The Sunday roast at the Old Bank is fantastic!

We were in Swindon to visit family and had a wonderful Sunday lunch in The Bank. Food was lovely and service was excellent. The food just kept coming, we had so much to eat. Hats off to Sammy our waitress, she had her work cut out for her, as there was a group of 8 of us. She was very friendly.

Having had a fantastic Sunday lunch several months ago we decided to go back to the bank for Sunday lunch today. My expectations were high based on my previous experience and I was not disappointed. The service has always been excellent here, the staff are very friendly and appear to be working incredibly hard making their customers feel welcome. Mine and my wife's personal view is that this is by a mile the best Sunday lunch to be found in the local area. The portions are more than generous, the food is fresh and piping hot. They also had live musicians playing Jazz and the lady who served us what fantastic to my 8yr old son. Thank you 'the bank', we will be back soon.

Ordered 2 flat whites but they were far to big and milky to be a flat white - much more like a latte which I don’t like. Had I been told they only do latte I would have gone elsewhere.

First off hands down the best steak I've had in a long, long time (8oz Ribeye). Quality of the food was only topped by the staff and service, Sammi in particular went above and beyond to cater to specific requirements (Gluten Free advice and impressive overall knowledge of the new menu). Very chilled, trendy atmosphere - overall brilliant, memorable dining experience.

The Bank arranged a dinner for 40 of us, the service was excellent, the food was plentiful, delicious, fresh, and great value for money. Every dish came out excellently presented and hot.

The Bank is really amazing, Family friendly and very welcoming staff. Always had good food here and great weekends spent in wood street, always end up in the bank ..great cocktails ..great staff ..great venue!! thankyou :)

Had a great evening here with 30 of my work colleagues..we received excellent service for a big group of people, all our food arrived at a very similar time, so none of that awkward waiting for all to arrive whilst your dinner gets cold!!

I went for dinner at The Bank as part of a work team build. There were 35 of us all together which I'm sure isn't always the easiest for a restaurant however the food and service was fantastic! We had pre-ordered our food however when we got to the restaurant myself and a colleague decided we wanted to add a starter to our meal, we anticipated that the response to this would be negative but the staff could not have been more accommodating and added on our last minute starters with no stress at all!

I love a good Sunday Roast and I’m very particular when it comes to eating out for Sunday roast. The bank offers a 2 course roast for £17 or 3 courses for £21. The menu choices are great and broad enough to suit anyone. The portions are generous with an assortment of seasonal veg and extra gravy served separately. The food was excellent. The bar was excellent. The table service, however, needs a minor tweak to bring it up to the standard and pace delivered by the bar and kitchen. Resolve this and it’s most definitely 5 star!

Had a meal with my wife, decided to look at the smaller items to make a tapas style dining. Everything was fried or over done. Nachos with squeezey cheese!!! Never knew that existed!

My husband booked a table for dinner after we'd visited a couple of weeks earlier for drinks and we liked what we saw!

I shared an evening with work colleagues , first time I have eaten since the menu has changed , expensive , staff not interested , expensive , better places to eat in Swindon that are authentic. Drinks overpriced compared with others in the area.

The board outside caught our eye with the special of Fajitas for £10, one of our favourite dishes.

Avocado bacon egg on sourdough toast delicious and only £4 and really nicely presented coffee with biscotti

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, tasteful decor. Food took a little longer than i'd like but they were very busy. Rich and tasty desserts.

Went last night and what a shame. Booked for 7pm, starter didn't arrive until 8.30. The mains didn't arrive until gone 9.30 and the dessert at about 10.15. Shocking service and the food was really mediocre. The coke was completely flat and the staff seemed to be in no hurry, spending loads of time at the front of the building smoking. Sorry but I cant recommend after that experience an will not be back.

Wanted to try this after they finished with Marco Pierre White. Menu looked good and can recommend the grilled prawns for starter. Partner had crab cakes and they were disappointing (very small and thin) but really nice flavour.

Been here on many nights out, always a great atmosphere and fab cocktails. Last Brought my family for Sunday lunch last week after seeing it advertised, by far the best in Swindon now. Rare beef and slow cooked lamb

Taking my visiting family out for Dinner in Swindon. The Bank is my only choice.

We have just enjoyed a lovely meal. Lasagne and a Charcuterie pizza. Both dishes were so tasty we could have been eating in Italy. Also very great value with any pizza and pasta for just £6.95. Perfect!

We met friends for lunch and were delighted by the new menu. Welcome drinks were beautifully served and the meal was wonderful from start to finish. We extended the meal to dessert and coffee and made a real occasion of it. We will definitely return and can highly recommend this venue for the extra special touches, quality of produce and warmth is service. The ambience was chilled and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Visited The Bank with friends to try out their Afternoon tea with bottomless Prosecco. Amazing food, very different to your usual afternoon tea. We had Mini burgers, sweet potato fries, olives, Parma ham, tiramisu and chocolate brownies.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea with bottomless Prosecco with friends at The Bank. Fabulous food; excellent service and hospitality and brilliant surroundings. Brilliant value for money and would certainly recommend. Will be going again for sure.

We didn't eat here but wish we had after seeing all the lovely meals/tapas being brought out. We had a very pleasant few hours here, cocktails were 2 for 1 and draught beers 2 for £6, excellent value. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Happy to say that this place is not only rocking Comptempary food but the traditional Sunday roast. Happy they have returned to being a player in the food game instead of the same o same o menu they have been serving on my previous visits.

First time in Old Swindon and first time at this restaurant. Lovely place to eat - will also be great in the summer as there is a large outdoor eating area. Service was excellent - they really went above and beyond to help.

Just enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast from the new menu. Beef tender, crispy roast potatoes, fresh veg and tasty gravy. They are happy to give extra veggies and gravy if you ask. Very full afterwards but I couldn’t resist the homemade tiramisu which was yummy. Staff Wonderful. Perfect! Back next week me thinks.

We attended early on a Saturday afternoon, had a lengthy wait for drinks, my partner ordered a pizza which was price reasonably and generally enjoyable, I ordered a couple of the small individual dishes which were extremely disappointing, the portions were tiny and on large plates!! two prawns for £4,£5? really???, and cold crab cakes, which were rectified after the waiter swiftly took the plate and dropped the used cutlery on my lap!! Poor service and an absolute rip off!!

I took my granddaughter into The Bank for lunch she is 18 months old and reasonably well behaved for her age. We were welcomed as though we were the only customers there. They fetched a high chair for me and although some of the lunch hit the floor I was told not to worry and they would see to any clearing up afterwards. This was brilliant to hear I did say I would be happy to tidy but they wouldn't hear of it. The chicken and fries my granddaughter had were real chicken not 'bites' or 'pop' but real chicken. Top marks for that.

Absolutely ridiculous entry experience and poor service.

As a respectable 51 year old I went to a leaving do. During that do I went to the bathroom to wash my face as it was one of the hottest days in the UK.

Nice lòoking place, degraded by an entry policy that requires no coats without specifying a drop off point. Bouncers will kick you out if you are found to be with a coat within two minutes after entry. Beware.

This review is for the upstairs bar and venue, not the street level restaurant which is separate.

My Daughter had Her 30th Birthday Party on the 9th December 2017. What wonderful venue in the night club. Everything was just right for the trendy 30 year olds. And the sixty year olds enjoyed the evening to. The bar staff were brilliant and kept a close eye on the free bar tab instructed drinks were reasonable and so were the cocktails. Nothing was too much trouble and the management made you feel welcome and important. We had hot pizza and I think they were the best I’ve tasted in Swindon. All in all we would recommend the Old Bank for a party venue. Well Done to all concerned.

What a dreadful experience! Took over 2 hours for our main course to arrive. In short, don’t bother. It wasn’t worth it. People tried hard. Food was unreally delayed and not that good. 😰

We have now visited this restaurant 4 times over the last couple of months and have been very impressed each time with the service, quality of food, the music and general feel of the place. The quality of the interior fit out is amazing.

Used to love the downstairs cocktail bar with live music, with a great atmosphere, but now just a bog standard chain restaurant with poor food, pushing people upstairs to a disappointing bar, I'm sure lots of people agree and avoid this place

Old bank used to be the place to go, but since Bardolino's has opened this place has gone very much down hill.

My family went on a weekday, and it was 3/4 full. That's saying something. I can't really fault this place. The food and service is amazing, the food is great, freshly cooked. You could tell the difference. The service was super, they seemed to know exactly what you wanted before you did. The decor is very smart. Reasonably priced. I will be coming back here again.

Second visit, first visit disappointing but decided to give another go! Big mistake. Starter bread was one smal piece of bread looked silly on the board. Sharing platter enough for a very small person. This time was no better, lasagne runny needed a spoon to eat it, no accompliment or dressing with it. My partner had a breakfast roll but sent it back as hard bread and dried up fatty bacon. Very dissapointing won't go back.

We visited not long after the change to Bardolino for an evening snack.

bad service the whole place is rubbish aviod at all cost. one drink and thats it if you want to drink more you need to buy food. avoid

We booked the restaurant for 8pm but we did specify that it could be 8.15pm by the time we got there, we were told this would not be a problem as I was coming from the airport. We arrived at the restaurant at 8.17pm, they had given our table away and not rang to inform us. We went upstairs for a drink while we waited for a table to become available. They eventually came up at 9.22pm and informed us a table was ready downstairs. We sat down, the couple arrives looking for their table to which the staff had given to us and not informed them either.

Big transformation great restaurant basic Italian food i.e. Pizza pasta burgers but severed hot and with great service been here four times over the last month and find it a lovely restaurant and bar.the staff are excellent and I think the menu is very fairly priced great bar upstairs and nightclub would advise to book if going over a weekend 5stars

Popped in after a lovely meal at an Italian restaurant, wanted to try their famous cocktails, I went for the two for one Martini Porn Star, husband had a larger, they arrived in plastic Martini glasses, very disappointing, however, give them the benefit of the doubt they should taste good and live up to the hype The Old Bank give their cocktails, wrong the worst Porn star I have had so far very weak, we drank up and left, yes could of complained but just wanted to get home and relax after a busy day, hence will not go again.

Went here for dinner with a group of friends on a Friday night .
