Food tasted rank, like it had been made by sweaty annoying builders. Over priced fried rubbish. Poor quality, poor service!

Such a shame this place has changed hands and is now terrible. Bacon baguette with raw doughy baguette. Sorry but the lady cooking can’t have been more than 18 and unfortunately cannot cook. The menu is bland, nothing like before. Not even chips available. It’s a massive shame that everything the bald builders worked hard for and the amazing reputation they built has been shot to Sh*t. I never see any custom here anymore. It used to be packed.

Very poor and really expensive! £3 for a cup of tea in a paper cup. £3.50 for a small Bakewell tart. Not particularly friendly staff and generally a disappointing stop on our way home

Being a local I have observed the transformation of this site for many years, starting as a local produce farm shop into what is now an aquatic centre, plant sales and kitchen/coffee shop. The cafe is a particular disappointment. Surly and unwelcoming staff who don’t seem to want to help customers. Food was bland, boring and of poor quality. My sausage and bacon roll, a bap actually was tasteless, even brown sauce couldn’t improve it. The tea was served in a take away cup had the tea bag left in it, it wasn’t particularly hot to begin with. All the food is served wrapped for take away despite there being a number of tables around, you are called over to collect your order. All the tables are in the open we no protection, winter must be a real load of fun. Not sure if what they are trying to achieve, to me it’s a transport cafe lay by van in a car park, the food is certainly nothing special. Unless that’s what you want go somewhere else where you won’t be joined by builders in overalls. Also the staff could do with customer service training and should take a good look at how they present themselves. Neither I nor my colleagues will be returning.

People avoid this take away the food is really poor ie portion sizes quality, I ordered scampi which Tom has 10 of the most tiniest pieces of bread crumb only know scampi in them at all, and I also ordered a large cod and chips which was absolutely revolting. My brother-in-law ordered the same and the portion size of the fish was so small you couldn’t even consider it to be a small portion. Absolute rip-off. Avoid avoid avoid

Today 4/12/23 The rating of 2 stars is for the food/cafe The rating I would give to the manager who resolved my issues is 5 stars……read on to hear the full story I order 3 all day breakfasts and some sides , we had to wait a bit of time for them to come also I had to clear the table myself from the last customer , also the table hadn’t been wiped over . The Breakfasts arrived , they were cold to Luke warm , we had a side order of chips they were a bit warmer. Nobody came to check after they had been served to the table to see if we were satisfied with the food. When I complained the response from the people in the cafe wasn’t great saying “we should have said at the time” rather than saying “I am sorry about this” …. . I asked to see a manager as I wasn’t overly impressed with the cafe staffs limp response . The came over to the table from the store. I explained the issues and also highlighted out while I was there another customer had complained about her lunch being at best warm when it’s supposed to be hot . I have since seen other complaints about the food being cold to luke warm when served on trip advisor. The manager who had come to the table to deal with our issues was a gentleman called Frazer can I say that he was the shining light. Frazer introduced himself and dealt with the complaint with the upmost professionalism and confidence and I would say that he is a credit to the store and a credit to the Morrisons brand. It would be great if someone possibly his Store Manager or Area Manager or Head Office could recognise him in some way as he turned a customer (me) who would have left the store as a detractor to a customer who left the store as promoter of the Morrison brand. Well done Frazer ! I am sure you will have a very successful career with Morrisons and I suspect you must be a very valued member of the management team at this store/Morrisons.
