Today 4/12/23 The rating of 2 stars is for the food/cafe The rating I would give to the manager who resolved my issues is 5 stars……read on to hear the full story I order 3 all day breakfasts and some sides , we had to wait a bit of time for them to come also I had to clear the table myself from the last customer , also the table hadn’t been wiped over . The Breakfasts arrived , they were cold to Luke warm , we had a side order of chips they were a bit warmer. Nobody came to check after they had been served to the table to see if we were satisfied with the food. When I complained the response from the people in the cafe wasn’t great saying “we should have said at the time” rather than saying “I am sorry about this” …. . I asked to see a manager as I wasn’t overly impressed with the cafe staffs limp response . The came over to the table from the store. I explained the issues and also highlighted out while I was there another customer had complained about her lunch being at best warm when it’s supposed to be hot . I have since seen other complaints about the food being cold to luke warm when served on trip advisor. The manager who had come to the table to deal with our issues was a gentleman called Frazer can I say that he was the shining light. Frazer introduced himself and dealt with the complaint with the upmost professionalism and confidence and I would say that he is a credit to the store and a credit to the Morrisons brand. It would be great if someone possibly his Store Manager or Area Manager or Head Office could recognise him in some way as he turned a customer (me) who would have left the store as a detractor to a customer who left the store as promoter of the Morrison brand. Well done Frazer ! I am sure you will have a very successful career with Morrisons and I suspect you must be a very valued member of the management team at this store/Morrisons.

Lovely happy chap at the hot counter today. Very helpful, made suggestions and told us about deals and offers. Not the first time we've been served by him and always had such a positive experience Thank you Ebeneezer 👍🏼

Yesterday arrived at 2pm for lunch, ordered two meals which did not arrive till 2.30pm. Tried to find a table that did not have dirty crocks on to sit down, impossible, had to clear dirty dishes and wipe the table. One of the staff bought our lunches and then went back for additional items, in all going down the aisle some four times to serve us and other customers, at no time did he take any dirty items back to the kitchen with him. Its not as if they were busy, one of the staff constantly walked round the kitchen but at no time during the hour we were there did anyone clear the tables. Certainly not up to the standard of other Morrisons that I have been in

We just fancied breakfast, so we popped into Morrison's cafe and, as the place was fairly empty, we ordered two breakfasts and helped ourselves to coffee. We had been sitting at our table half an hour when it dawned on us that people who had arrived after us had been brought their food, so we gave it another five minutes and then went and asked when our meal was likely to appear. We were told we were next and the breakfasts were brought to us shortly after. Everything was cold except the sausages which were lukewarm. Our coffee that we wanted to drink with the meal was cold too. Clearly they had not brought our breakfast when it was ready and it had been cooling. Parts were inedible because they were so cold. Before the pandemic, we had had an almost identical experience which we had thought was just bad luck. Clearly nothing changes except they apologised the first time.

Time for new management to deal with a host of issues: Bare shelves even when supply chain issues are resolved Out of date sandwiches on shelves Water bottles with no labels so they let you have them for free Coffee machine never works and when it does there are no lids A lot of staff really don’t give a stuff about customer service Security guard is a waste of space, just wanders around doing nothing. I have witnessed theft right in front of him Harassed by 3rd party salespersons in the foyer Cafe very slow even when quiet Seasonal Plants dead or dying

My wife and I popped in to the shop to grab a "meal deal" but the sandwich counter was looking quite bare! (It was 15.30 and I guess the locals had all gone for meal deals!) We decided to grab something in the cafe and a quick glance at the (covid) restricted menu left us dying to try the Afternoon Tea for 2. Yes it took a short while to prepare, the kitchen is too cramped to allow many workers in at the same time. It was well worth the wait. 2 each of Prawn, Ham and Egg sandwiches, 2 mini pork pies, scones with butter, clotted cream and jam as well as cakes and a mini cheese cake each. To be honest it was more than enough for the 2 of us, infact a 3rd person could easily have shared with us. The service was impeccable, and the food top notch! I can't wait for an excuse to do it all over again!

Not from this area, I came down here while visiting family. Due to rules being slightly different in Staffordshire, I just queued up behind the person in front of me at till 3 (the designated area for basket shoppers) while keeping a safe distance from the gentleman in front of me, I was served by the most sanctimonious, condescending elderly woman at till 3 (14.45ish). who berated me for not following the rules of waiting in the aisle till I was called, which as stated above isn't the way its done when I am at home in Staffordshire. I honestly don't mind being told that I am doing something wrong, which is against local rules. However I don't take kindly to the tone in which I was told, which was similar to a naughty school child doing something they had been told countless times not to

Terrible today we entered the restaurant which did not look busy and placed our order for two kids and two adults , we ended up waiting nearly an hour for our order which turned up after being left in the counter for twenty mins , the poor chap whom was serving was so rushed off his feet with no serving staff to help him ,absolutely diabolical.

Was alright. Met friends and their kids here on my lunch break. My lunch break is an hour and it's a good job I didn't order anything to eat or I'd have been late back to work. Coffee was quite nice but had to leave my friends who were still waiting for chips and a burger for the kids. Very slow service.

Came here after a long journey from North Wales during the night and had a big daddy breakfast which was excellent but one only down side is that the hot chocolate was cold from there hot drink machine would come back again for breakfast if in area but probably not the hot chocolate

Recommended by neighbour for breakfast for good portions and quality but we found service very poor. On arrival nobody at counter and had to wait 35 minutes after placing order. One lady serving at counter also required to serve meals and clear tables. Looked as only 2 staff in kitchen. Poorly Manage.

I take my 97year old father to this restaurant quite often ,the choice for him to eat is very good and food is always very hot, yhe self service coffee machines use a very good quality coffee both normal and decaf,unfortunately last week the food was as always good but for some reason i rubbed my hand over the top of ths sandwich chilled cabinet and it was very dusty and dirty.It seems like like they need more staff there cos they always seem under staffed.

could not place order at the counter !! I was told to use self service machine, eventually I found everything but as I wanted to pay cash I had to go back to the counter to pay!! the burger bun was dry and stale burger was cold and so we're the chips
