Called in for some cakes on the strength of the window display, the Belgian Buns and the cherry flapjack are absolutely perfect, the best cakes I’ve had. I cycled from near Birmingham on a return visit just for another one.

On holiday and walking past thought wow what a show of cakes we must have one. Purchased an Eccles cake and a jam Viennese slice cost was over £4 for two cakes !! Oh well let’s hope they taste amazing. What a disappointment. The Eccles cake was mainly dense pastry with only two thirds of the cake having a meagre amount of fruit. My jam slice was stale and dry and no hint of sweetness other than the tasteless jam. Would not be tempted to visit there again. Looks can be deceiving!

One of those shops you pass by and gasp at the window. I'm not a sweet tooth person but my husband is. Ended up buying 2 cakes for him which he said were amazing. I tried the Lincoln Savoury (large scotch egg type thing), which was also fantastic. Great food, service and prices, worth the queue.

What a gem of a place. The window is full of sweet delights and the queue outside encouraging. We purchased sausage rolls, hazelnut brownie and millionaire shortcake. All delicious! Will definitely be visiting again and will try the deli section next time

Fabulous deli and the reviews show it. Sadly lacking in gluten free sandwiches.....however did you know they will make up salad boxes filled with whatever you want from the deli counter.....no? Me neither. So I had one. Amazing. Can't recommend it enough. I could probably eat a whole tub of their coleslaw all to myself.

I spotted this little gem online before we travelled to tattershall on holiday. We were struck by the vast amount of delicious looking cakes & pastries. We spent so long choosing & never felt rushed. The Brownie & caramel tiffin were divine & the sausage roll/pasty were also fantastic. Definitely recommend a visit.

Always such a delight to visit . So much to choose from ,cheese selection is also very good . Along with delicious jams I could go on. staff are ways very helpful and friendly . We live local so are so lucky to have so much choice definitely one not to miss when you visit the beautiful area of Woodhall Spa

We visited yesterday with the intention of getting rolls and cake for a long day out. Got there at 8.45 and no filled rolls so were just leaving when the lady behind the counter asked if she could help. We explained what we had come for and she could not have been more accomodating. Ran through all the rolls and fillings we could have and then went off and made two absolutely full of fresh ingredients lovely rolls. Whilst waiting we were drawn in by all the other delicious foods on offer so ended up with Quiche, Drinks and Cakes as well. She could have easily said 'Oh they're not ready until later you'll have to come back' and we would have spent nothing in the shop and gone to a supermarket. However, because she was so helpful the shop gained £30! Well done on great customer service and the most delicious food.

A great old fashioned bakery with a huge choice of cakes, pastries and sandwiches (freshly made to order). You’ll be hard pressed to leave empty handed! Very popular too judging by the queues.

If you are visiting or even near Woodhall Spa, you must visit this deli & bakery, unbelievable selection of home made goodies from pies to huge filled rolls and sandwiches, cheeses, olives, crusty bread and rolls, speciality vinegars, and the cakes, never seen anything like the cakes!! And loads more, just go and have a look. Did I mention the cakes?

Wonderfully stocked artisan shop serving delicious freshly baked pastries, cakes & sandwiches. It also has a plethora of other tasty treats. If you’re staying anywhere near Woodhall Spa, you must visit this local establishment.

Lovely treats…shocking service! I love visiting the bakery when I’m in Woodhall Spa. The bread, sausage rolls, quiche and cakes and chocolates are amazing. So much choice and temptation. Such a shame that the staff are always so unfriendly. I have visited with family, friends and young people with learning disabilities who I support. Every time I have been I have witnessed rudeness and negativity towards other customers and myself. A smile and patience goes a long way.

Lovely selection of cakes, cheeses, meats, and bread. Great gifts too , why shop outside of Woodhall Spa when you can get everything you need here.

When in Woodhall Spa, I always call here for the cakes and at other times simply think about them. Yes it can often be busy but what a fantastic selection of cakes and savouries and other goods. The wonderful cakes make you think you have died and gone to heaven - simple as that.

We went yesterday and were served by a woman who did not want to serve us that was quite plain by her attitude we were buying cakes rolls and a haslet we travelled from Boston to get the things above as the quality is excellent...

We popped in late in the day as we were staying in the area. Just so much choice we just bought cakes all very yummy, but all other products looked so good. I wish I had more time to look around at everything they sold.

If you wish to eat the best homemade quiche on the planet then get yourself to this Deli. Absolutely beautiful quiche, meats and cakes. Ignore the idiotic reviews that talk bad customer service, if it's busy (and people queue down the street for the Deli)...

Went to bakery on our weeks stay in woodhall spa . Excellent service didn’t have to queue very long as expected, a lovely young lady served me . And wow sausage rolls were yummy as was pork pies . And fresh cream cakes amazing highly...

We were visiting the area after a family wedding and decided to have a walk around the place. We stop in this bakery to get a few cakes and the service of the woman who served us was shocking. She had no customer service at...

Terrible customer service. Unimaginative, dreary savouries. Overly sweet, synthetic cakes. It looks as if it should be wonderful but its really very poor. Why do the staff work there if they don't like dealing with customers?

This is clearly a local favourite and deservedly so. We bought cakes here every day of our stay and took some home with us. All were delicious.

Not been here for a couple of years. It used to sell the best Sausage rolls for miles around. Not sure what's happened but they don't taste the same. Think the pastry is different.

Great sized cakes and baps. Fresh and well filled. Even when busy never had to wait too long to be served. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

This bakery does really fantastic and delicious cakes and also delicatessen foods. (We only had the cakes and bread though) Covid safety makes for some long queues but they serve as fast as they can. The prices are a little expensive, but the quality is...

Fabulous service, great cakes.. Always pop here for some treats when in WS. Customers queuing /social distancing and all wearing big masks as required.Door open and well ventilated.Thank you to all retailers and their staff who are working in very challenging times and as such , customers should remember this. I have really reluctantly posted this review as I love the idea of this bakery, it’s traditional, it looks appealing but it should be so much more welcoming than it it. We stay in the village often and I have been in a few times lately but the staff are all so rude, it’s such ashame and really lets the place down. I’ve been served by several staff members who are all rude and have no patience with their customers what so ever. I also have to say that their response to the current COVID situation is non existent, there is literally nothing in place to protect staff or customers. Maybe a perspex screen or some hand sanitiser might make everyone feel a little safer? I see from other reviews that I’m not the only one noticing these things. This place has so much potential I just feel it’s a bit of a disappointment...

Took an elderly friend to get his bread and cake for a treat as he Wanted to pop in.. Its only the second time I’ve been here. And most definitely the last. Shocking customer survive here. Is there any need for such rudeness. Getting irate with someone who can’t hear properly and is 87 years old.!! Be ashamed. I see the nasty remarks made back to anyone who has given bad reviews. This sums this place up nicely. Seriously need to sort their hygiene out too.

Great value for money food, visited with the family and got food for us all for under £20 Great sized buns and pastries and would highly recommend anyone to call in if in the area.

I've stopped myself a few times about putting any comment about this shop, but I think everyone needs to know.I honestly can't understand why people queue for so long to get in. Please pay attention to all the bad comments, *THEY ARE ALL TRUE!*.I have been quite a few times in this shop. I always try to like it (it seems inviting from the outside) but staff is really rude.Cakes don't taste great either. They aren't this old fashion cakes you would think they have. They are really really sugary (in a bad way), and some of them are tasteless.Only thing why I sometimes go is to get some bread.I was going to give them another shot and buy some more bread and also cakes today. As soon as the lady placed the cobs in the bag, without even looking at me or even asking if I wanted anything else she told me the price stray away, so I paid and left.A few months ago I went in to get a sandwich, she ASKED me if I wanted some salad in it, which I said yes please. The staff member that was serving me looked at me like if I agreed for her to do something outrageous.If you go, try and spend as little time as possible - it's not worth it to engage with people behind the counter. Don't bother about the cakes or the deli section either - cakes aren't worth the calories and the deli section is way too expensive for what you actually get!

Was enjoying a nice orange slice and as I got further into it I found a piece of blue spongy rubber. Which put me off eating the slice very of putting and I would highly suggest to avoid any cakes could lead to an very bad incident.

Lovely quiche pieces and coleslaw with the usual lovely cakes for dessert. Good variety of sweet and savoury on offer. pricey but you get what you pay for. A variety of homemade fresh bread on offer

Visited here a few times in the past, but today had amazing service from a staff member named Leah. We wanted a hamper making up for my stepdad’s birthday filled with cheese, chocolates and other bits and she took extra care, making sure it was exactly as we wanted it and as perfect as possible. Massively appreciated the time she took and I know my stepdad will love the hamper, only wish I could have left a tip! Thank you for your help Leah!

It's really lovely that this bakery is open and even does deliveries at the moment. The staff are always friendly and theres a very good selection of foods available. The sausage rolls, ham, bread and chelsea buns are very tasty. I thought the hygiene and the way they were dealing with people couldn't have been any better. We are very fortunate to have this facility in the village.

Called in on a saturday afternoon, waited outside until appropriate to enter with the intent to buy some goodies.Unfortunately whilst waiting to be served two of us in the shop five assistants behind counter only one serving.One of the assistants was cleaning inside a display cabinet and then went on to transfer some cakes from one tray to another without hand protection - not good in the present situation. Had two takeaway coffeees instead

I did my daily exercise to the deli on my bike today to get some fresh bread and cakes. I came on here to say I’m so grateful all year round but especially now that you are remaining open to enable us to get fresh bread and treats. My husband enjoyed his eclair and my son his butterfly biscuit as we always do.I’m shocked to read the below review, small businesses are doing everything they can, putting themselves and staff at risk to remain open. The staff are all lovely and like all of us will be having times when they are not jumping for joy so the review is vey insensitive given where we are with COVID. To re assure others when I went today and every other day, staff have gloves, observing social distance including asking customers who are not to do so. The best way to keep us safe is washing hands regularly and keeping distant. So thank you to you all at the deli, keep your chin up as I know locally your very much supported for what you ar doing and good luck with new delivery service.Clair

Not a smile to be found.. tried to smile and have a laugh but the woman was stone faced.. certainly no health and safety measures put in place with the issues our country is facing either. The woman was sniffling all over the place.. picked up some plastic.. no gloves or hand washing.. plops it Over a cake and In a bag. Extremely over priced £5.85 for 3 little cakes that didn’t taste great at all.

Bought a ham and cheese filled croissant for my lunch. Loads of filling and absolutely delicious. Likewise my sister's beef roll.

What an amazing place! It has a great selection of cakes, quiche’s and the like. I walked out with a bag full of treats :) I was very disappointed by the poor service I received though! The middle aged lady which served me was incredibly snotty and impatient. She looked down her nose at me like I was beneath her and spoke to me like I was an inconvenience she couldn’t wait to get rid of. I didn’t say anything mainly because I was shocked but almost left without anything because of her actions. The rest of the staff seemed lovely however and I’ll assume that there’s just one bad apple here. I would definitely visit again if only for the food.

Not to be missed, this is an excellent shop, so much to choose from, totally spoilt for choice, beautiful bread, cakes etc, highly recommend.

Friends visited here whilst staying at the nearby lodges, we walked past at first but were drawn back by the presentation of the cakes bread and chocolate, the only downside was what to choose... apple turnovers were lovely

This is a fantastic bakery and deli. Prices are in line with the area. Bread and fruit pudding is glorious - so much so I called in on our way home for some to take with us.

When we are in Woodhall Spa we always visit this wonderful bakery so I can have slices of their delicious Bread Pudding. My wife discovered that they make scrumptious small Battenberg cakes as well, so we are both satisfied!!

We bought some lovely cakes and pies from here whilst staying locally. However the staff are not very friendly and don't seem to interact with their customers ...not sure we will be back. Quite expensive too.

We were passing by and decided to try this delicatessen. It’s very inviting with lots of lovely products. However, the staff are just awful. Within minutes of us walking in I could hear behind me a female member of staff shouting quite aggressively and repeatedly “can I help anyone”, however it was only us in store. I turned round and said were looking thank you. When we did finish looking and we wanted some products from counter the staff member was very disinterested and rude, and made us feel like we were wasting her time, although we spent £25 there. It could have been more is she wasn’t shouting and barking at us.

We called in after a day out and decided to have a naughty treat , wow it was so worth the visit , the cakes are heavenly . staff were lovely and friendly .

What a feast you could have here! We settled for brunch of (huge!) sausage rolls and a treat of chocolate cakes for the children. They were defeated by their cakes!

What a delight this place is, superb sandwiches made with artisan bread and a massive variety of fillings, home made pies, pasties and sausage rolls, with a cake and pastry selection which is fantastic. Great deli section .go early it is always busy and can soon sell out of some lines. An absolute must visit.

Myself and Julie often call in for baps to this wonderful Bakery ,delicatessen,situated on the tranquil broadway woodhall Spa . On entering we found the staff as always very polite and very helpful .. always nice smiles with impeccable manners ...and may I add good lookers serving . Go in for one thing come out with more ,just how it should be .The display of quality food is endless. We have never been disappointed with anything we have purchased there . The place is spotless as are the young ladies serving . I give this establishment top marks for welcome smiles ,politeness, cleanliness,and tasty fresh inviting foods . It really is the place to call if you want something to fill that gap ,and be left with that feeling that says to you , I must call again .

Visited on tuesday and wednesday 19th/20th Feb. We were in woodhall spa visiting my brother who has just moved to the village and popped in to get some cakes.... Oh my word the battenburg is to die for!!

We picked up some tasty treats here, there were loads to choose from, all freshly baked / cooked and all reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

If you are even thinking of going on a diet, do NOT go near this place.

I went the other day to get my husbands gift. 5 Rum slices which he ate in one sitting. The lady who served me was lovely and wrapped the slices for me extra. Would return for myself lol.

An excellent shop selling speciality foods, hand made chocolates, cakes, sandwiches, meats, pies etc. It was very busy when we visited, but service was good and friendly. Quite expensive but very nice. Will go back when in the area again.

Called in on a Wednesday at 11.30 am. We wanted soda bread or a sour dough loaf. The bakers only bake these on Friday and Saturday we were told.

This shop has everything you want meats,cheeses, quiche pastries and CAKES. They also have a good selection of gifts . The cakes are fabulous and huge the London Cheesecake is to die for.

Had 3 visits to this bakery during our stay at Bainland. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The sausage rolls are the best we have ever tasted. Lovely pink pig fondant cake. Yummy!

This is a great gem that is well worth a visit. I was surprised how the rest of the town was relatively quiet however every time we passed this bakery was packed, they have a great range of bread, cakes, meat, cheese, chocolates and much much more.

A wonderful variety of scrumptious food with very helpful assistants. Definitely worth a repeat visit

Some of the best date slices to be had sold here. In fact there are too many great cakes to ever eat. There are other great foods in this shop but I havent got past the cake counter yet. Still only been going to Woodhall for 25 years

This by far and away the best bread and cake shop I have ever visited. Wonderful freshly baked bread and every sort of cake and pastry you could imagine

We visited today, yes they were open on Sunday!

We purchased a piece of chicken and ham pie and bacon and caramelised onion quiche for our lunch with a couple of cakes for our dessert. All was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially as it was extremely busy due to the 1940’s festival.

I could not believe what was on offer wow ! The most amazing display of cakes I have ever seen .The deep filled quiches were so mouth watering. Will definitely be making another trip to stock up absolutely 5 star😀

I called in at the cake counter in the expectation of a negative response to my enquiry as to whether there was any cake in stock suitable for vegans. I was astonished to learn that there were 5 different varieties to choose from. Not being one who likes to make decisions about these things, I bought a piece of all 5. Yum, yum!

Such an amazing place, the cakes and food are amazing. Super friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend the bacon quiche - so tasty!

We visited this Bakery and Delicatessen whilst staying in Tattershall, we came by by chance on one day and then paid them a visit for the final 2 days of our holiday. We had the rolls which were really fresh and tasty, with some cakes from the bakery. We could have spent a lot of money here if we had known about it at the start of our holiday! Thanks to all the staff who were helpful and make such delicious delights!

We have a weekly trip to this bakery , delicious, specially the quiche, lovely array of cakes and breads , they do a very nice olive bread , but only on certain days .

This is a wonderful shop, fantastic range of wonderful sandwiches in fresh homemade bread, tasty deli produce and cakes to die for. We always look forward to visiting this deli, do not walk past without treating yourself... Warning though....it is not good for your waistline but so worth it !!

This bakery is simply the best, lovely cakes and superb bread, well done. Also there many unusual things towards the rear of the shop that one is not able to obtain elsewhere.

this bakery is well worth a visit and is open Sundays. Not just a bakery they have many food products and the atmosphere is wonderful, as are the staff.
