I took my daughter, my friend and her two kids for a birthday. We were greeted by Maria and were given the whole of upstairs to ourselves and I'd mentioned about the birthday and they'd done a load of balloons which I thought was so nice so thankyou for that! We started by getting a Tomato and Onion salad for my friend and I got the Kibbeh Shameyieh - deep fried lamb meatballs with cracked wheat n sautéed onions. We absolutely loved both, bags of flavour in the meatballs too and perfectly crunchy on the outside. We let the kids get their meals first before we got our Mega Board... They opted for a Margherita Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza - the said it was the best ever!! Clean plates all round. My daughters chicken nugs were huge and a huge kids portion at that. Delicious Now for the main event, the Mega Grill - this as you can see is huge it comes with chicken, lamb shawarma, chicken chunks, chicken drumsticks, halloumi, chicken and lamb kafta along with rice and chips and all your typical side salad and veg. Absolutely delicious it was, I couldn't get over the size of the drumsticks to be honest huge! The shawarma meats were very flavourful and I liked the halloumi too as their sister restaurant The Bake in Eldon square did not... Koftes lovely too! Maria our waitress was on hand and foot for more breads, dips and drinks she did a fantastic job for the 2 and half hours we were there.

Pan y chapuzones pronto siguieron. Ordenó el Mega plato, hornear una ensalada y papas fritas sazonadas para compartir. Comida más que suficiente para 3 , podría haber servido fácilmente a 4 / 5 personas. (Lo que no comimos, lo tuvimos para el almuerzo del día siguiente) La comida fue cocinada en una cocina abierta muy ocupada. (no esconderse de la mirada de los clientes) La calidad de la comida, el sabor y el tamaño de la porción eran nada menos que excelente. Como el restaurante es libanés, puede traer su propio alcohol, con el que estarán encantados de ayudarle. (Vidrios y tornillos de corcho, etc) El agua embotellada que pedimos era de cortesía, lo que fue una sorpresa. Al dejar de fumar en el mega plato (habiendo encajonado alrededor de 1 / 3 ) , se nos presentó un pudín de cortesía. (Pudín de leche libanés tradicional aromatizado con agua de rosas) En general, una experiencia gastronómica magnífica con un servicio amable. Sin duda volveré para probar algunos de los otros platos en el menú. Recomiendo - Sí Volvería - Sí

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Bake One in Gosforth tonight. The food in the King Bake Mixed Grill was delicious, lovely flavours with just the right amount of spice/seasoning for my taste. Easily enough for the two of us but we did manage some of the complementary Mhalbeh which was lovely. The restaurant, though fairly busy was clean and the staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. Thank you Bake One, we will be back.

Lovely food, nice service, huge portions. Loads of choice of great dishes. The hummus starter is delicious and more than big enough for two. My only gripe is that.the starter and main courses were delivered to the table at the same time, and A 13% service charge/gratuity is added onto the bill, which you A, could easily overlook and tip on top of the bill, and B. Might not have opted to pay at all, pay as big a percentage, or pay as part of the charge to the restaurant. I think tipping should be discretionary, and not added automatically. That said I was dining with a friend so didn’t make a fuss. I would have given this five stars had it not been for the gratuity, it really was a lovely meal.

Friendly welcome, swift service and fantastically tasty food. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Would definitely recommend. If I lived locally I’d be eating here a lot!

The very friendly staff welcomed us in warmly. No booking and despite it being busy they found us a seat and were very attentive. We had a selection of hot Mezze (4) which were superb. As we were unfamiliar with the menu, the waiter explained everything and was very knowledgeable about the way the food was prepared & what the various dishes contained. We were pleased that there were such a large choice of extremely tasty dishes that were not loaded with chilli alongside the spicier dishes. The portions were very substantial & we had over order. We also enjoyed the Lebanese (Cardamom & fresh mint), Tea. Will definitely come back.
