Outstanding tasty food! Don't pass this place up. Best in the Mall, for sure. Friendly staff, great prices and they deliver more food than you can comfortably eat! We had the lamb and chicken wraps. Be sure to ask for the "garlic". It comes looking like a cream or yoghurt, but is definitely garlic.

This is a halal Lebanese restaurant inside Eldon Square. With its cosy atmosphere, we enjoyed our meal while watching people shopping around. The Chicken Briyani was delicious and with just the right portion.

Food here is amazinggg, I come here to eat everytime I come to Newcastle, never disappoints. Food is sooo tasty and flavourful, and the garlic sauce here is addicting, definitely consider coming here when u come to Newcastle!

Wow wow wow 🤩 2 visits in 2 days whilst visiting Newcastle! Tremendous food and AMAZING Value. My wife and I shared the King Bake mixed grill, and it was exceptional! Everything cooked fresh and served piping hot. A must visit if grilled meat is your bag ❤️ Lebanese Coffee was also delicious ☕️

chips were soggy and cold and paramo had tomato on not bechemal. there is no way to chose becamal sause so obviously you just get what your given. a paramo is not tomatoes, it is with cheese sause. the salad was all soggy off the fat onthe wings. not great compared to the bake that used to be in biker. the wings were all right.

Food yesterday night from ubereats was extremely disappointing, we ordered the offer two for one on shawarma Arabic and arayes and samusa and we basically got boxes of flavorless empty bread, there was barely any meat on the arayes , salads was old and stale, we paid almost £20 for just pita bread with no flavor, it was so bland we had to add so much mayonnaise from home, don't order via ubereats the deals are scam! I heard so much about this place and was willing to order without the deal if the food was any good, but we were not impressed at all, maybe sitting in is different but delivery was a total disappointment.

Took my children to the Bake as they had already visited and enjoyed the food. Food was excellent, however when the bill came I found it expensive for what we had ordered. On reading the receipt I noticed that I had been charged a 13% service charge, equating to almost £7. This I find shocking and to that end will not be using this restaurant again. On reading a recent review a similar problem had occurred for another diner. Apparently you can ask this service charge to be removed, the only problem is you won't know you're paying one until the bill comes! In response to the owner on 20 Oct 22: This is not protocol for 3 diners, it's an absolute cheek. Like I said in my review this shocking service charge is not stated when entering your restaurant, only when you receive the bill. As this is the case I will not use the bake ever again!

Didn’t feel like 100% Lebanese. The food was ok though

We both ordered chicken parma dishes. What a disappointment! The toppings were not very appetising but the chicken(?) Underneath was hardly edible- hard at the edges, undercooked and chewy towards the centre. Staff did apologise and discounted our meal but we will not return or recommend.

I had my Ramadan Iftar at the bake, it was greatly organised, great atmosphere, staff are so friendly and professional, and obviously delicious food so many options, and worth the money

We love the food from the bake, we either order at home or we dine at the bske in Eldon square. We always recommend the bake to friends and family.

I've been there a few times and queried the inflated bill at the end, the bill is often too much. My bill today should have been £46, the cheque comes over and its £52!!! The owner is hiding a 13% service charge without being warned... Reading the replies from the owner here, free olives and bread? It's not free if you charge for it and don't tell us!!! Every other restaurant like yours does NOT sneak extra money on your bill.... trading standards will be emailed next and then the chronicle..... In response to the owners reply The charges are HIDDEN and if you out bread or olives on a table without saying that they are free or chargeable you're scamming your customer! IE "hi customer, here's some bread for the table, you're getting charged for this, it isn't free" i like your food, i like the restaurant, i dont like sneaky charges and sneaky owners!!

The Bake never fails. After being to the gosforth one a few years ago seeing the bake in Eldon square was nice, food portions are huge and could be shared, flavours are lovely service is fast & friendly. I couldn’t finish all my schwarma the portion size was so big you definitely get value for money. The houmous is really light & yummy too.

Not really a fan of these pop up restaurants in Eldon Square most have come and gone for good reason, different story here like the one in Byker brilliant food and staff and very reasonably priced considering people are still eating at F&B across from here paying probably double, the mind boggles, 2 starters 2 main courses for under £30.

My first order from here, incredible food, amazing restaurant quality food, succulent chicken, the lamb wraps were gorgeous, fresh salad ingredients and good chips, We will be reordering soon. Thank you 11/10

The staff are lovely and welcoming. The food is delicious and the menu has so much to choose from. Portion size are well worth the price. It's accessable and clean. I had chicken and lamb both cooked well and not dry, plenty of flavour. The lovely waitress brought us a free dessert, which was huge and delicious. Fantastic overall experience

They really really make you wait so longer for the food .

I was a regular at that place. They used to have great shawermas both chicken and beef. Once i had a problem with undercooked chichken and they changed it. But today it was terrible experience, i went there around 20.30 i asked main shawerma lamp. Girl checked it and told me that they have. When i received it, it was full of leftovers, hard, fatty part. I like lamp because of it softness. I will never comeback

The food was fantastic. Grill was juicy and tender. Malaz served us and listen to us with full attention. And offered us excellent recommendations. 5 stars!!

This place is an absolute gem of a find, we popped into Eldon Square to the shops and found this place. It was busy which is always as great sign. The service was great - waiters and Staff attentive. The food - I think the picture says it all. We had a mixed platter to share and still ended up with a few yummy meats to take home. Definitely recommend and will be re visiting. Great Job 👍🏼

The food at The Bake is amazing - I had the shawarma chicken main and the Princess of Lebanon mocktail and it was all absolutely delicious. Also the staff are lovely and the prices are incredibly reasonable for how much food you get. Definitely recommend it!

Some of the best food I've had in a while

Visited last night with friends. We come 4 or 5 times a year and have some fun blind tasting the wines we bring. Last night they were low on wine glasses. Within a few minutes one of the team had ran to a local store to get some for us. Brilliant ! It's always incredibly good value here. Food is great, perfect to nibble on with our drinks. Very friendly staff who can't do enough for you. We'll be back on Jan 3rd for more fun and great food.

Went with my teenage daughter both loved it seated quickly and immediately brought out free complimentary garlic sauce chil sauce and olives food was served in about 10 minutes and food was very good 100% recommend definitely going back

I had the chicken parmesan, it was all freshly made , it was really tasty , a very big portion for the price , I would recommend this ..I actually couldn't finish it as it was to big for me , the staff explain exactly how the dish was made and asked me what i thought of it as it was a new dish...I thought this was a great service and would definitely return here next time I visit Newcastle...

The bread was really awful and the dish itself was also not tasty. I am sorry to say but I need to be honest. If anybody from the resturant reads this, please change your bread, dont fool people with that bread.

Right so we ordered twice and got disappointed every time everything sauce and salad it's all soggy and didn't even taste better it feels like eating slop mate

Called in for lunch yesterday, and so pleased we did! Had a great meal, delicious lamb chops! Excellent service, Mohammed and all his staff were lovely and friendly! Was our first visit but will definitely be back!! Thank you to everyone at The Bake!!

Based in Eldon shopping court. It is quite busy, none of the staff are actually from Lebanon so perhaps not that authentic. Starters & main arrived at the same time. This could be better by serving the starter first. The food is ok, expect to pay around £25 / head.

The owner Mohammed was very welcoming along with all the staff they were so attentive, always on hand for anything we wanted. We started with Sambousek Cheese, beautifully made pastry done in restaurant fresh with three different cheeses and parsley. Looka that cheese pull 😍 just georgous, not heavy at all though. We were recommended by Mohammed to get the 'Big Mega Grill' which usually costs £55.00 this board pictures comes with chips and rice too with all your usual side salads and veggies. This feeds 4 people easy! I started with the chicken wings, plenty meat and perfectly cooked, the chicken came easily off the bone and the charred skin was so tasty. The Koftas were full of flavour and so soft and juicy! Those little shawarma wrap bites were so delicious and very moreish. The cubes of chicken and Lamb were very nice, I did think the lamb was overdone but that could be our preference as we like our meat pink haha it was nice in flavour though! Those little wraps covered in the orange colour sauce (Mexican chilli) were topped with cheese and the owners creation.. Very nice with abit meat sandwiched between! Everything went down an absolute treat and we left with two doggy bags as there was that much. We ended the meal with a milky dessert I forgot the name of but it was a perfect palate cleanser! Along with some Baklava to take home.. Lovely! I highly recommend here, the hospitality is second to none they really are passionate in what they do and the food is outstanding.

Tried the falafal wrap, Chicken wings & the chicken kebab meal. All the dishes were bang on..the rice was fabulous as well...& they give extra pita breads which are wholesome...The service was excellent and the people around were warm & hospitable...

Food is great ... Although i would like to give my honest feedback about service. Staff need more training. The guy who took our order was not professional at all . Was not explaining the menu. I had to ask for some stuff again and again from him. Also he got our mandi order wrong.there were some errors on the bill which was corrected by their manager and he was apologetic. The reason for five start is the great food however there service really need to be improved. Manager was very nice as he listened to me carefully and apologized. Great place with good food.

Al-Baik Restaurant is honestly the most beautiful restaurant in Newcastle. The food is beautiful, mandi chicken, chicken biryani, chicken shawarma, hummus and broasted. All the food is delicious and the service is exceptional, especially Brother Malaz, who is creative and kind 👍🏻❤️

Restaurant is situated in first floor in a shopping center near Elden Square. Good size but not that big restaurant, good service, simple menu and inside mall atmosphere. Food prepared quickly and was very delicious and with fresh ingredients. The meat plates and the salad were very fresh. Portions are big enough and filling. Will definitely try again.

Fantastic little find. I'm not normally into Eldon Squares dining quarter but my partner got a "too good to go" bag from Bake One which was top notch, so we decided to have a dine-in meal. Generous, tasty portions (I was full and took some sambousek cheese home, which I'd seldom do) at reasonable prices, the food was really fresh and the service was friendly and attentive.

First time going here & will be back... Food was on point 👌🏻 Prices are not expensive at all. I had the lamb chops (half a rack) with rice for 22.50.. cans of cokes could be bit cheaper at 3 quid a can. But overall ill defo be back.

For shawarma lovers, I already tried grilled meat last year and it was good. But the shawarma, as I prefer, has a delicious, clean chicken flavor. There is no spice or anything additional. It is very excellent, despite the relatively small amount of meat, but it is delicious and the best in Newcastle to date. Thank you.

You need more branches across the UK. I'd struggled to find places that make authentic toum and hummus, but The Bake does it. Shawarma reminded me of home. Staff are lovely. Atmosphere is nostalgic with popular Arabic songs. A little on the pricey side, but worth it, I'd say. Wish I could try more items from the menu, plates looked scrumptious.
