boring and dirty tables staffing minimal ,staff looked like no interest in being there. No atmosphere. Food passable. Asked for table cleaned got a look and told someone will get it !!!

I like wetherspoons, The Food is really nice.

Great breakfasts but steer clear of the entrance doorways if looking for a table, the wind howls in. Still, can't beat the prices. 👍

Good evening. Just a point l wish to raise with your company. I feel that you need to change the beans in the breckfast as they totaly ruined the taste of the whole thing. I certainly would have paid the extra to enjoy this but insted l feel l wont be back. Yours

Pish, and usually overcrowded wae pensioners. They got rid of the Gourmet Burger which was like their one gid food item.

Came here for a wee treat for mother's day as we were having a day out. We ordered at the till, waited over 40 mins for our food the big rush was over at this point. Ordered a BBQ beef burger, kids pizza and fish and chips. The kids pizza plate was boiling hot would say it was hotter than the pizza it's self. The adults ones were like warm. We started to get our meal when taking the salad off my burger I noticed something shiny in it, upon closer look it was a strand of metal running through the actual burger patty. Husband went up to complain after they realized how big the peice of metal was we were offered a refund for the burger only even though no one else trusted eating theres. Would avoid at all cost would put me off visiting any of there sister branches as well

Was looking forward to a nice poached egg on my miners muffin but was like boiled egg, yes very busy so git over cooked.

Fish n chips Is best by far in Irvine

My partner and I were in on Mother's day, the tables were filthy covered in plates, people were trying to clean there own tables, I have seen the place busier it was un organized chaos, staff were walking past dirty tables, the bar was covered in plates, glasses, cutlery, and when our food arrived it was cold very disappointed

Had a work lunch. Curry day on Thursday - a katsu chicken curry, soft drink and coffee was under £10 all in. You can't beat it. Fast too.

Went for breakfast and it was lovely

Dump, rude staff, rotten atmosphere, don't take dogs even in beer garden. There are some lovely pubs in the town. Recommend you go elsewhere.

Havnt been to this place for a long time ,I thought I would give it a try . Pleasant staff,clean and well looked after. Had a coffee ( free refills) not Costa but still good , bit of toast as well .I stayed with a mate for over an hour.

This place is in dire need of a good clean and more staff each shift. So many mistakes made in a small dinner and drinks order. Tables u occupied but full of empty glasses. You have to ask staff to clean table/clean yourself.

Came in for some breakfast while out shopping and all was delicious and tasty! And really good value for money, the restaurant itself needs a little TLC!

Excellent place for a quiet pre or post shop coffee, but food is highly variable with regards to quality! I thought that the big chains and Franchises dealt with this by way of training in the 80's! Food on this occasion was edible, but overcooked fried eggs and rubbery hash browns, really not my idea of a good breakfast content! Damned shame because I've had some excellent meals here previously!

The jackfruit pizza is nice-not an option in all branches of Wetherspoons. The toilets in the Auld Brig aren't a mountainous trek like some! The staff are all friendly and approachable. Staggering distance to the bus stop, taxi rank and Irvine train station.

Good typical JD Weatherspoons pub. If you're been in one before you know what you'll get. Good value and service.

Great place to go for breakfast or just to have a cuppa and chat with friends

We popped in for a bite of lunch, struggled to find a table, and even when we did, we had to clear a pile of dirty glasses and plates off it. Once we had ordered, the main courses came in around 10 - 15 minutes. The dessert (ice cream) wasn't forthcoming soon after, so after 15 minutes we asked when it was coming, to be told "the order is in the kitchen, they'll bring it out ". After waiting another 15 minutes, we went back to the bar to see where the ice cream was, and one of the staff went into the kitchen and brought it out. It was disappointing to wait 30 minutes for a plate of ice cream.

Nice place,good prices..although they have went up like other places..get here early.. as hard to get a table in the afternoon,breakfast good,get here for 10am if you can and you'll get a table,😎

Breakfast here on 5/11/23. I had the large Scottish and my partner the Scottish. Waited over 20 minutes for them to arrive and when they did they were lukewarm with the beans and eggs conjealing and the square of butter totally melted, suggesting to me the breakfasts had sat some time before being brought to the table. Before starting to eat, my partner noticed neither of us had black pudding on our plates. I should have had 2 slices, my partner 1 slice. On approaching a member of staff to question our missing items I was told that there was no black pudding left! ( Great way to increase profits, not put an item on the plate and not tell the customer!). I was offered any other breakfast item as replacement and opted for link sausage. A short time later a staff member arrived at our table with 1 link sausage each for us. As I had been missing 2 slices of black pudding I would have expected 2 link sausages as replacement. Altogether not recommended as a breakfast venue. I have used Wetherspoons all over the UK and am a regular in the Pioneer in Prestwick and The Paddle Steamer in Largs. Todays experience falls well short of what I have come to expect of Wetherspoons.

Came in for dinner recently with my family and everything was delicious, the prices have most definitely went up however everything has! The food was tasty and quick to arrive we all really enjoyed it.

1st time visit to this Wetherspoon's outlet. The large Scottish breakfast was good value albeit a bit greasy! Cleanliness in an operation of this size will always be a problem. The carpet in the restaurant was stained and dirty, but other than that it seemed the staff were conscientious enough,even the ones standing outside the premises smoking! By no means fine dining but good value for money.

Such a shame… the food is good normally. The issue I have is the lazy staff walking past mess upon mess on tables every single time I come in I have to clear my own table and I’m a paying customer! I sat and watched numerous members of staff including a manager walk past this mess empty handed!! Very disappointing. I’m a customer and find it extremely off putting I feel like tidying it up myself and I’m only in for some food with my family!!

I had the Ramen noodles today.. I have to say they were the best I've had ... I can't wait till next time I'm in Irvine to have them again.. Maybe they should show the weatherspoons in Largs how it should look and taste.. very tasty and filling... thank you

A self-service restaurant with such a comfy and quiet environment. Food were good and exceeded our expectation.

A very nice breakfast of eggs Benedict with a black coffee. Good food and friendly efficient staff in an better than ok environment. The only downside was the carpets and chairs had seen better days with Mark's on both and what looks like tar on the carpet, despite this they looked clean. So maybe more worn and threadbare despite this I will go back

Food cold. Barmaid served 3 people before me . Only 1 other person at bar when I went up. Tried to charge £3.60 for an innes and gun that was advertised at £2.49 on many signs on bar . Had to get a manager who was not much more help .

There is never a time I come in and don’t have to clear my own table! The tables are left for hours at a time filled with cups,glasses plates etc I watched numerous members of staff come up with plates of food and after giving it to the tables walk right past empty handed by these tables!!! It’s a joke of a place the staff are extremely lazy Cleary! Shame as the food is half decent the prices have gone up but still got value, but when your surrounded by mess and lazy staff it’s extremely disappointing and off putting I feel like taking the plates down myself and I’m a customer!

Called in with family and we were served by Carmen and Tom. Both were very pleasant and attentive during our visit. Both are great ambassadors for the company. Will be back.

Came here today after some Christmas shopping with family. The restaurant itself is modern however it does need some TLC and some repairs. On arrival we went upstairs and every single empty table was full of glasses/cups/plates etc that nobody had clearly cleaned so to get a table we had to clean it ourselves before sitting down to order. The food arrived and was okay the Christmas dinner wasn’t as good as it looked on the menu looked like it had been flung on my plate as everything was everywhere (peas/carrots floating in gravy?) so wasn’t the best experience! I personally think the staff need to remember there is upstairs too and first impression do count it’s embarrassing and to have customers have to move items off a table just to eat a meal isn’t ideal or acceptable! There was also a man and child across from me with a McDonald’s when did that become a thing to bring in food from other places and eat it at the table ? And numerous members of staff seen this.

3 of us came here recently for some drinks and food and had a great afternoon. We spent about 5 hours and found it to be a great atmosphere. The food was tasty and the drinks were great value. Table service is brilliant as it saves time standing at a bar.

Not enough staff to clean tables. Discussing way to treat costumers. We walked in to finding that ever empty table hadn't been cleaned...we complained and was reassured that it would be cleaned by the guy that eventually was told by the guy that served us to clean it...embarrassing for him but he eventually had to cleaned it...seems to be the normal for them now and should we accept this ignorance as it now every time...poor way to conduct a business.

My daughter and 2 grandchildren went to this place for lunch yesterday and unfortunately notice on the door the kitchen was closed due to unforeseen circumstances my 4 year old grandson was needing the toilet and my daughter thought it would be okay to take him and we could get a coffee but this redheaded woman was not very nice to my daughter and told her as the kitchen was closed children couldn't use the toilet absolutely disgusting to refuse a child to use the toilet

Went to Weatherspoons 'Auld Brig' at Irvine yesterday 9/8/2022. I ordered a small fish & chips, my Mrs ordered a small Scampi and our son ordered the sausage chips and beans. My Mrs and my son quite enjoyed theirs even though her Scampi was a bit overdone. Now my fish from my small Fish & Chips was so well done the batter looked as if it had been out in the sun for about a month(Burnt to a crisp). Now I quite like a little crispy batter but not burned and so tough it could go a couple of rounds with Mohammed Ali. The fish itself was absolutely disgusting so much so I reckon it must have been hanging-out bottom feeding at a sewer eating all the effluent produced there. To be fair I thought it was just me, so I asked my wife to taste my fish also. After tasting it she was also abhorred so much so her face was so screwed up I thought she was eating a Sour-Plum. At this point I would say the Tea & Coffee was alright. After we had finished the boy picking up the Plates and my disgusting fish asked us if everything was okay. I did tell him My fish was disgusting and unedible. "What do you think happened next?" You got it he totally blanked us lifted plates and scurried off. (So much for customer service) I'm beginning to think this is a Weatherspoons ploy as the same thing happened to my Mrs when she complained about cold chips in the Weatherspoons in Stirling. I guess this is how they avoid complaints. "ill I be back in any of these establishments soon? I think you know the answer to this one" Because they are avoiding complaints I took to trust pilot to write a review as it seems the only recourse I have,

I am a fairly regular visitor here and have always found the staff to be very nice. However over the last couple of weeks I've noticed that one staff member's attitude is frankly, horrible. When I was in earlier this week a number of couples/families were in for breakfast/lunch and any time someone (I noticed it was mainly older people) asked for a drink refill this staff member was rude to each one. They either got a very curt 'in a minute' or were ignored. I fully appreciate that they are very busy just now because of the new table service, but it looks like the other staff all cope quite well. Certainly the staff I had dealings with were very pleasant. The female in question had very short dark hair but I wasn't able to get her name. I did then witness the same person treating other customers loudly and warmly when taking their initial order, it seems she takes issue with that request for a second cuppa! Well maybe the manager should have a word, or maybe the app could be updated so as to enable this request to be made via that, whatever the solution, this person needs a wee word in her ear.Other than this one issue we had a lovely morning, the place was very clean, and as ever, food was lovely and warm.

I had food and ordered drinks via the app. Food came and was okay, but my empty plate is still on my table 1 hour after I was finished, what's more I have ordered 3 pints since I finish and the duty manager came with the drink but did not clear my table. Service is so bad in hear.

Danielle is a very hard working young lady who puts the rest to shame in this spoons. She is very helpful and friendly and always takes time to speak with her customers. Others need to take a leaf from her book in this restaurant.

Arrived at the restaurant on Sunday 20th at 11.50 , Myself , Wife and 7year old daughter, found a table which was still to be cleaned , I proceeded to the bar with the table number as we all wanted was 3 American style breakfast which was only served until 12.

we called into this bar after a night out in Glasgow & wanted a nightcap before heading home. Due to the lateness it was quiet so we were able to get a table & a quick drink. The bar is really well laid out & very nicely decorated with a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices due to it being connected to Wetherspoons. We will return again on our next trip & stay longer as it's well situated close to the train station

Have visited many times and always found the food / service to be fine so was looking forward to meeting a recently retired colleague and friends . Today the waitress was lovely but the pub is sadly let down by rude bar staff who went out their way to serve men just arriving at the bar whilst obviously ignoring me . My friends had the same problem and staff were heard talking about us . A poor show in customer service !

I really enjoyed the Royal eggs royale was scrummy. Nèv's fry ups scotish potato scone was incinerated! We both had the gammon for supper which was overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy. Disappointing.
