My partner has been a number of times with clients and said we should try it. I was underwhelmed. The staff do not listen. We order about 6 dishes and I told the waiter I did not want them all together but one or two at a time. Seems they couldn't follow simple instructions and brought all the dishes out together. What was really disappointing that the hot dishes were at best luke warm so had been hanging around the kitchen for ages before being sent to the table. The restaurant was a third full on a Friday which if my experience was typical it probably explains why.

The worst somelieir team ever. Gentleman called Maxim has no knowledge and no respect towards the guests. Highly not recommend going to that restaurant.

Phenomenal meal at Aubrey. Comfortable seating and impeccable service. Everything was exquisite, from sushi platters to hamachi crispy rice to lobster uni rice and sashimi mango salad.

We had a wonderful experience yesterday evening for my birthday celebration. We had such an amazing time and I was made to feel very special ☺️ Everything was perfect, from the food, the service, the decor to the ambiance. We had the Premium Izakaya Menu, a new menu that includes most of the signature dishes. If you are a seafood lover, you are in for a treat! The food was sensational, especially the oyster, popcorn lobster, snow crab, and the Wagyu Oxtail Bone Marrow Fried Rice. All the ingredients tasted so fresh and the portion was so generous! My husband doesn’t like sashimi normally but he really enjoyed the sashimi platter from yesterday! I also love the MT Fuji, a very fun dessert that I’m sure children will also love (with the candy floss). I’ll definitely bring my children back for another occasion 😄 A special thank you to Toko, who is very knowledgeable and attentive throughout the service. Also thank you to Kay, who’s very welcoming, the Sommelier (sorry I didn’t catch his name), all the Front of House team, and of course big credit to the Kitchen Team.

It was a very fun and interesting experience. The dining room was spacious and the service was impeccable. The omakase was a great way to try many different things. This is not a traditional sushi omakase but one that encompasses many different types of food. All was presented beautifully and cooked well. The portions were generous as well. A very nice evening

Wonderful time at The Aubrey. Food is amazing. Had the lobster scrambled egg and a selection of sushi. The Dj playing the music was a really nice touch in the background making it such a nice atmosphere. Found one of the waiters a little too attentive and telling us what items are his favourites and hanging around a bit much. It was also absolutely freezing in there and so made me uncomfortable. Think they should make people aware that the water that is made to make you feel like is complimentary is £7 a bottle ! Would highly recommend this place

About a year back, my husband told me about this quirky and exclusive bar in London, where they serve you Japanese cocktails and it is by appointment only. I thought at the time 'Oh that sounds cool' and then put it to the back of my mind. Fast forward 6 months and I am thinking 'what can I do that is special for his 40th' and remembered this (but not the name or location) but after some key word google searching I found it. I like to be really organised, and was so stressed that you can only book 1 month in advance (bookings open at 10am)- however I spoke with the team via email and they were very reassuring, so on the 29th November at 10am I logged in and successfully secured our booking! I had a bit of a google nightmare on the day however- the map sending me to the other MO in London which is currently a building site! So we were a little late but the staff were fantastic when I called them almost in tears. Walking at pace round Hyde Park, stressed, with the foul smell of Winterwonderland in the air was not the greatest of starts, but all was OK! I was advised by a former bar tender not to go with an empty stomach as the food on the experience is really just snacks; however I found them to be quite substantial. A beautiful Oyster, a posh fish finger sandwich, hamachi, A5 Wagu sushi and a Yuzu sorbet. The cocktails were excellent- great explanation and superb ingredients . It was delightful to try new things. I left with an extensive list of ingredients to add to my home bar! The staff made this experience extra special, so thank you so much! It felt so intimate and exclusive.

I arrived early this trip to London without my husband, after a walk through Harrods remembered this restaurant. Showed up not dressed, sat in bar area and had an amazing meal that I loved with a perfect cocktail. The expense for me was worth it, the delicate sushi options, the caviar my way with cucumber as a blini, my favorite cocktail made the way I prefer. Anything I asked they were able to accommodate to my particular requests. This was a great way to eat on my own for a really elegant dinner without feeling too pretentious. It is also great for bar service and dining with full parties. And I love the Mandarin hotel next to it.

Five of us went for Christmas dinner and we ordered the test menu. Each cours meal was made for four people at the table. The taste is below zero. The worst meal I have ever eaten (or not been able to eat) in my life... Even though the table was served for four people, they did not forget to charge the bill for 5 people. Since the tables and chairs were squeezed on top of each other, the waiters had no chance to serve you, so we had to place the dishes brought by the waiter on the table.

We decided to book the Aubrey for a last minute midday brunch and cocktail during a planned trip to London. The service and food was of an extremely high standard. The atmosphere / vibe in the restaurant was also super relaxed with a great DJ playing chilled tunes in the background which wasn’t overpowering or distracting. I would highly recommend the Tokyo Eggs Royale with yuzu, hollandaise and housemade tea-smoked salmon…it was DELICIOUS! The whole Aubrey brunch experience was thoroughly enjoyable and one my partner and I will repeat in the future!

Very disappointing experience at The Aubrey. All started off well with drinks and ordering (although no explanation given of how to order off the menu was offered). Starters all arrived ok, although we were given the wrong tempura. We didn't mention this until it went wrong with the main course, and we were left sat with a plate of beautifully sliced pork going cold because nothing else we had ordered had arrived to eat it with! We sat and waited patiently and politely and despite promises it still took a good 20-25 minutes for the rest of the main course to arrive. Simply not good enough and ruined the experience. We were polite throughout although expressed our disappointment but I did feel something had changed with the waitress who had been, up to that point, serving us well, but then it was almost as if she didn't care. The rest of the food was just ok apart from the wagyu gyoza which just tasted of hot oil and the pastry not cooked. Our wine didn't get topped up and we had to do it ourselves and the offer of a free dessert was really just not cutting it by that stage. It looked like the people sat next to us were also having problems with their order judging by the conversations and apologies I could overhear. We asked for the bill and I think it was the head waiter who took over by this stage, who actually told us he had taken off our drinks bill, the tempura and the service fee off the menu. We were satisfied that this was adequate recompense for our experience and were just glad to get out of there as the restaurant was seemingly turning into a nightclub by that stage with chairs and tables being removed at a rate of knots and the music pumped up to max volume. This was certainly not a high end fine dining experience though this is where the price point is. London is now flooded with high end Japanese restaurants but this isn't one of them.

Very good quality, however manager is very difficult and they still tried to charge us. Hungarian waiter with glasses was exceedingly lovely, would recommend his personal service. This was a free experience due to previous complaint & was hassled to take previous complaint down in order to receive said experience. Would recommend if you have big money to spend and will not need to deal with Romain ☺️

The Aubrey was a beautiful experience for my birthday. My partner had booked it and it was all a surprise. The staff did not hesitate on making me feel welcomed and special! They were super attentive and kind. I received a chocolate cake desert and card which was just lovely! The food was some of the best I’d ever had! The mushroom dish was amazing. But huge thanks to our waiter Sean (I believe his name was) for keeping us happy and well fed! Thank you Aubrey!

Would not recommend. Evening was chaotic with completely disorganised service, which some waiting staff unprofessionally blamed on agency workers. We had a set menu, and there was barely any food. For example, two plates of 5 gyozas to feed 10 people and two plates of charcoal chicken (with not even enough chicken for one each). Plates and chopsticks got cleared halfway through the meal and we had to ask for them back. This was again blamed on agency staff waiting the tables. I have never paid so much for a meal and have left so hungry and dissatisfied. Waiter laughed off a complaint at the end of the meal about the lack of food. Abysmal experience, would not recommend nor return. Can get much better value for money elsewhere.

We visited on Saturday afternoon for their free flowing Brunch. Table & ambience were nice but we were rushed to order, brunch is served 12-5, table was booked for 3:30, we were told that kitchen closes at 4pm!!! Food didn’t arrive together, 1 person had to wait for over 15 mins after rest of party had eaten theirs. Cocktails included were not great, free flowing champagne wasn’t free flowing. We had to ask our server to top us up on several occasions which was met with some comments. Wouldn’t recommend or return. Expected better from MO establishment!

We visited for dinner on a Saturday evening. The venue is dark and moody. The two of us ordered the spicy edamame, wagyu gyoza, tempura platter, tenderloin steak, lamb neck, black cod and the wagyu fried rice. For dessert we tried the chocolate cherry and the tarte tatin. The food was enjoyable, albeit it did feel quite similar to some of the other high end Japanese restaurants in London. The fried rice was a standout dish, and we ordered a second one of these. Service was very friendly and attentive, without being too stuffy or formal. One dish that took a long time to arrive was proactively removed from the bill. That said, the bill for two still came to a hefty £535, of which £205 was spent on drinks. After dinner we visited the bar area and had a great time late into the night, there was a DJ and even a makeshift dance floor, which we hadn’t expected. Overall, decent but not spectacular food, but it does some hold appeal as a fun “all in one” venue and I would consider a repeat visit.

Had a craving for sushi somewhere in-between the high high end and Yo Sushi and chanced upon this place. Intending to do a lunch walk in for a la carte or one of their set menus, I was instead offered their Omakase menu only which is usually available via prior reservation only, more courses and of course, more expensive. The sitting was only half full so not sure why a la carte etc wasn't available. The edamame, dessert and miso were forgettable and barely deserving to make up three of the 11 courses (dessert was a scoop of ice cream) and the fish itself was good, prepared in front of you as you'd expect. It wasn't clear that the fish was "dry aged" so the flavours of classics were unique if familiar. The atmosphere was casual at lunch - this isn't pretentious although they still seem to be ironing out some kinks with the service - e.g some things were explained to one end of the counter and not the other. In addition to the lack of an a la option as suggested on their website (or set menus as featured in other reviews), the lunch Omakase is cheaper than on their website, which I only noticed after the fact as the so called encore sushi of your choice promised on the website was not offered so I double checked to ensure I had not misread. Overall a decent experience but some consistency in marketing/expectations management needed.

Highly recommended! A little gem we stumbled across and had such an amazing experience from the moment we stepped in to the restaraunt! We had a few plates and they were all just so delicious!! The fish is of high quality, the staff were so welcoming and attentive. We also had the pleasure to meet the head chef Rodrigo who was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The prices are fair for the quality you get. We will definitely be back! ❤️

Introduced to this place earlier in the week and loved it. Really delicious food and love that you can choose your size of rice, spice and a side too. Really tasty and great value. Second visit and had the thinly sliced beef curry. Delicious. Not a place for a long meal but a perfect refuelling before heading off to theatre or something!

Buen servicio, amable. Entrega muy rápida de comida.
