The Askew Public House in Hammersmith and Fulham

To great pub food you normally need to find a quiet country pub that’s not too busy, that’s just not the case here. This was midday on match day and the place was heaving, I ordered the cheese burger and went outside with my drink. When it arrived it was massive and dressed perfectly with a side salad and chunky chips. Amazing not sure how they managed it but they did and with a smile.

Great food and atmosphere. This was our go to during our recent stay. The burgers and the chicken skewers were my family’s favorite.

Great food. The staff have told me the kitchen has a new chef. You can certainly tell. Will be visiting again very soon.

Roast dinner was horrendous, 18 pounds for roast potatoes that was stale and hard as rock, lamb was hard to chew and undercooked. One of the staff completely ignored me at an empty bar when I said ‘excuse me’, someone else came and served me who much nicer. Seems that it’s the usual locals that go there and would just stare at me and my partner like we was aliens. Any how we will not be visiting again ! Avoid at all costs

It's god place to enjoy, food is good they have 2 balcony when you will smoke and drink...

Brilliant place for Good Food and Staff were so nice

Myself and my niece popped into this pub the other day to use the toilet as we had been walking a long way and was desperate. When we finished and were leaving the pub the lady working behind the bar had such an attitude when she asked did we have a table... I said we had just used the loo and carried on walking out... the lady continued mumbling something. Definitely did not feel welcome in there at all and that lady behind the bar needs to check her manners. No wonder the pub didn't have many inside!

Met up with my family and friends to remember a love one who has died 26 of us had a great time, staff were great, food good, I recommend this place to meet up.

Lots of TV’s showing the football. A respectable crowd all enjoying the game. Nice and clean facilities.

Popped into my Brother's local for a meal after a visit to the hospital to visit him. Had a lovely meal. Great ambience in the place. Welcoming staff. We felt very at home. Would highly recommend if visiting this area

Absolutely the best pub in London

Really great west London pub with a large Irish (and QPR) clientele. Live sports, live music, and a great crowd every night of the week I was around. The bar team are totally on it, and the place is clean. Only downer was no ales on tap, but Guinness and a long list of lagers prevail here, and bottled ales are available, so there! Didn't eat here, but the grub looked great, and the plates were full to overflowing. Family-friendly weekend roasts likewise looked great. Dog and (well-behaved) kid friendly too. Get yerself down for a great evening and day of the week!

Nice pub with a more traditional feel. Good outdoor space, most of it is covered from the rain and you can sit having a drink looking at the world go by. They have sports TV inside and out in the beer garden. Today 5.3.23 there were two sports TV's with two different games but you can watch either without a problem. Tried their roast dinner and it was spot on. Roast chicken with crispy skin, descant roast potatoes and mash, carrots, cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and nice gravey. Tried the beef Roast dinner on my next visit, beef soft and cooked through, not carvery standard but ok; the chicken roast still is first choice. Will try pork next time. Cottage pie was a good choice.

Says they are open until midnight- we arrived Friday at 11pm and we’re told they are closed very disappointed as we just moved to this neighborhood and we’re looking for our neighborhood pub, very disappointing

Not been here in 20+ years. Didn't eat here hence no marking. This is now a very well run friendly local pub. Can't fault the variety of drinks on offer and the prices are extremely good for West London. I will be back.

This pub seem to not give a flying feck about the residents of surrounding houses. It's now 0:33 AM (Saturday night, Sunday morning). Their patrons are shouting and screaming. Although, they should have been escorted from the premises half an hour ago. It's a constant problem on weekends, often accompanied by loud music. Really guys, is it this hard to comply with noise regulations after hours? And the food is mediocre, if anybody reading cares about that.

Horrible food and absolutely careless service

Good pub atmosphere. Great place for a drink and watch football/soccer. If you need to order food for the family you need to order it at the bar. They won't take your order at the table. Lasagna was good but the rump steak was just ok...a little tough. The Gusiness Stout was very good.

Although my 1st steak was cooked incorrectly, well-done & I had to send it back. The staff did not hesitate to redo the order right away. The meal in end was nicely portioned & hearty & went well with the Guinness.

Great Sunday Roast and cozy place. They have three options of roasts, beef, pork, and chicken. The beef roast was really well served and good price for London and for the portion that you get, especially the amount of beef. I visited the place during the winter, so the outdoor space was too cold to be used, but the space looks very comfortable and I'll definitely come back over the summer to visit their garden

Fantastic pub loved the karaoke night

Very decently priced Irish pub in the heart of West London. The crowd is friendly and they have TVs where they play sports. The drinks are cheap and good quality. There is ample space in both the garden and the pub.

I had the intention to go and buy a drink. I asked the lady working there if there was a toilet somewhere and she replied “it’s only for customer” well you definitely just lost one now. Poor customer service. Good thing there are plenty of other hospitable pubs around in the area 😄 16.02.2023 just after 4pm

Went there in the afternoon for a pint having moved into the area. Considering this is a big pub on a main road, and I've been in 1000s of pubs in my lifetime. I felt that this place was not very welcoming. The barmaid seemed very indifferent and monosyllabic when I asked her a few things but much more animated when she was speaking to what I assumed were the regulars. It's a shame cos this is a large pub very close to my new home and I was looking for a regular place to go myself to and take friends, but I won't be bothering again and will search for other pubs further afield. It's also probably more vibrant and welcoming in the evening. but my first impression made me think "find a decent pub".

It is a football pub and very clean (including women’s restrooms), attentive service without feeling like hovering, affordable nibbles, and a great Friday night deal (£10 for a bottle of house wine all day) Majority of the crowd were men but didn’t feel at all out of place as a woman. Will be returning for future QPR games.

The pub is the closest to our home but we avoid it and walk down further to the Queen Victoria which is by far more superior. That being said, the staff in this pub are always friendly, but the place is let down by the food which is very average £9 for a cheese ploughman that comes with a very basic chopped salad pre-covered in nasty mayonnaise , a few cocktail pickles and a few bits of basic cheddar. We had to ask for the “ baguette “ which arrived late and was 2 pieces of plain white bread

Disappointed is the word I’d use here: Ordered the following. 1 Sunday roast 1 Nachos start 1 sausage n chips for the little one. 3 soft drink. Bill £35.00 taken in advance. Drinks arrived in pint glasses literally half full. This was billed at £10 Roast arrived no roast potatoes £11. Nachos was fine but it’s nachos, difficult to get wrong £5 As we were 3 eating asked for all to come at the same time so we could eat together, the roast and nachos arrived and then was told they didn’t have sausage and chips and wanted to change it to scampi and chips, reluctantly agreed but by the time we finished eating the kids meal hadn’t arrived so got a refund and left with a disappointed child and went to McDonald’s… I wish I’d taken a picture it was quite a sad looking display. £3 for half a pint of Diet Coke is a liberty to say the least, it’s more expensive than the beer !! Needless to say won’t be returning here.

Is okay but very expensive and don't have much choice in drinks. Came today after a year and I must say food very disappointing waited for nachos 35 min and mains overcooked and blend. Atmosphere nice and live music but drink choice very small. Never again

Nice pub with nice choice of beers. Big and shady garden offers you hours of relax. Very friendly staff. Recommend for all tired that want to rest for a while.

God I love this pub, its full of beautiful staff and lovely locals. The best thing is the welcome that people who've never been there before always say how they feel treated like family. The place itself is very nicely done, Comfortable seating . However order took 40 minutes to arrive and when it did they brought me he wrong soup so I had to wait for another 10. It was even that busy. Food was nice though
