Edit June 2024. Why are you closed?? I like pizza quattro stagioni here every week or so with good cappacino and good company. Friendly service and you're not kept waiting. It gets busy in evening even now in winter months which should tell you something. Thanks and see you soon!

We had a lovely time at Pappa Ciccia. Eating food with an authentic Italian taste, sitting outside in the sun, the waxed tablecloth on the tables, sipping chinotto and listening to the Italian radio - it felt like we were on holiday. The insalata verde was very generous, the pizza napoletana deliciously salty, and the melanzane parmigiana so comforting. A perfect family-style sit down after a long walk in the sun.

Great place and food. Marina and all the staff were all awesome. Hope to return soon. A presto.

My pasta was too dry. Pizza was much better. Place itself is quite small. Staff is working hard, but our table wasn't cleared from dirty dishes for a very long time. I believe they were overbooked, but from that customers were suffering, from not the best service provided. Even when I asked to pay I was waiting for my bill for like 40mins.

Such a quaint authentic Italian gem. I had the ravioli with cheese & spinach in a butter sage sauce, O so good 👍 the 4 of us could not be happier & we could see the homemade Pizza going in the wood fired oven. You'll be very happy if you make this spot while in London. The menu is very reasonably priced. Thanks to the staff.

My 50th birthday dinner party at Pappa Paccia was simply phenomenal. From the impeccable service to the mouth-watering food, every detail was perfectly crafted to create an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was just so friendly, making the experience all the more enjoyable for me and my family. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Good Italian food close to Putney Bridge stop. The carbonara is delicious, with authentic guanciale, and the pizzas are generous and quality, with Italian ingredients. There are varied and delicious desserts, and the service is very pleasant. If you are Spanish and you are in London, it is enough to say that here they know what olive oil is.

Lovely Italian food with friendly and efficient service. I came here on a Saturday night out with a friend. It was also the same night as a Fulham match, so it was a bustling atmosphere! Many fans were coming in to eat, and we were seated right at the front so we could see the hussle and bussel of the outdoor takeaway pizza slice and burger service through the window! Thank you for a lovely evening :)

Buzzing on a match day and quiet and intimate on any other day, ticks both boxes, staff are very friendly and the food is decent at a fair price

We came on match day, so booked ahead. The staff were very welcoming and table was ready on arrival. Service was excellent. Considering how busy it was, the servers never seemed to miss anything. The food was ready in good time. The portions were very generous and the flavour was excellent. 100% would come again

I had a birthday reservation for 12 people and I couldn’t ask for a better service - a real family run restaurant feel. The food was authentic and absolutely fantastic and a lot more than what we could finish! We had to leave early and I really appreciate the time and effort they put the leftovers into individual tupperware boxes and packaging. That was so thoughtful.

Really good traditional Italian restaurant.

Had my 30th birthday there the other day (there were 17 of us) and not only was the food wonderful, the service was absolutely incredible and Marina and the team really went out of their way to make our night perfect. Massive thank you to the whole team at Pappa Ciccia for making it a truly special birthday!

Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! The gluten free pizza was especially good! We were a really large group and Marina was very patient, attentive and accommodating! Added bonus points for being BYOB.

I have been here in the past and found it friendly, atmospheric and good Italian food. However tried to go there recently and was turned away at 830pm. The guy in charge ( skinny, quite good looking, short dark hair ) said it was fully booked ( 30% of the tables were taken ). Another member of staff said it was probably because he ( the guy in charge ) wanted to go home. I also heard from other friends who tried to go there that they were similarly turned away. I hope the very nice owners are aware that the guy they left in charge is not good for their customers or their otherwise good reputation. I look forward to returning when that guy is not longer in charge. It is a really nice restaurant

This spot would be nice for a night out were it not for the poor food. The ambience is cosy and the atmosphere is friendly. Pity about the food. We ordered arancini snd were presented with small rice balls coated with a thick hard shell of breadcrumbs. and minimal Mozzarella. Nothing like the real thing which is moist and succulent. The carbonara pasta again had little to do with what a pasta alla carbonara is. It was one gloopy mass of fettuccine full of cream and oil. The cream is a giveaway. Anyone who has had proper spaghetti alla carbonara knows you only use egg, bacon from pork cheeks and pecorino cheese. One understands that cooks have some licence to substitute some original ingredients with more easily available local alternatives. But the addition of cream in this case was unnecessary and the result was bad. The porcini risotto was heavily dosed with stock cube. The meatballs were rubbery and whatever flavour they had was masked by an oversalted tomato sauce. The bill came to £66 for two including a small bottle of Peroni . The price would have been totally acceptable, had the food been of an acceptable quality

It is with big disappointment to say that for staff to slam food down on your table and to raise their voice at customers is very unfair and damn right rude. Whilst the food is good and the drinks okay, the staff who are are harshly talking to clients is simply unacceptable and in contempt

Hey! My Friend had pizza here like 10 months ago and she literally hyped it so much and we decided to go last evening! I swear to god I didn’t have that worst pasta which I had here, My all excitement went in garbage lol. it was literally tasteless and I payed them extra to add shrimps and guess what I only got 3 shrimps like seriously?!!! lol. so disappointed, we also ordered one Margarita my friend was like the pizza she had last time was definitely mot made by same chef probably as this one was that worst.

My husband and I dined here tonight. This was the second time this week we’ve been here because the lunch we had previously was so good. Tonight didn’t disappoint either. Not only were our courses beautifully presented and tasty but the service we received was outstanding. This restaurant is a jewel located in the heart of the Putney Bridge area, just three minutes walk from the tube station. We recommend this restaurant is a must to dine at if you’re in the area and we’ll come back again when we’re visiting London.

I can’t comment on the restaurant itself but i just ordered a simple margarita pizza and it arrived with the cheese completely off the pizza and very sloppy, it also had very bland taste. the dough was too chewy as well, not enough crisp. it’s too bad i was looking forward to trying this place

A local place convenient for the location! The calamari starter was absolutely amazing! The pastas were good. But we were a little disappointed by the pizza, which is the main for an Italian restaurant. It was a little overcooked and the base hard. The price was also a little high compared to other Italian places around.

Ordered for delivery, pasta was dry and claggy. The garlic bread was rock solid and crunchy. If it wasn’t so expensive then we wouldn’t have minded but for the quality it really isn’t worth it.

Beautiful cosy friendly local Italian. I have been coming here to this branch since I was a kid myself when they first opened nearly 3 decades ago! The fact they have survived everything during that time is testament to the establishment. Over the past 27ish years I have gone for dinner with my parents, on dates - I even went to their special valentines night one year, had dinner and drinks with friends many a night, even my brother had his birthday party here... Nearly 3 decades later it still has the same wonderful atmosphere, with great food and lovely staff. I'm still coming whether for a morning coffee on my way out, to have coffee and a catch up morning or on occasions to stay and work on the laptop in peace... To have dinner with the family. The menu has lots of kid friendly fussy eater items, just in case you have a fussy eater, their margarita is a safe bet, along with a few good pasta choices... For us who love to eat their is a lovely wide choice of meat fish and veg options, spoilt for choice really. Our last family meal we had 3 foodies and 2 fussy eaters. OUR ORDER Starters - bruschetta, melanzane alla parmigiana and 2 portions of calamari. Mains - 2 pizzas, pollo salad, pollo alla milanese, lasagne al forno, Mediterranean sea bass. Desert - YES after all the above we still managed to order ice-cream and some panettone cake which was the perfect way to end the meal. DEFINITELY KID FRIENDLY! The kids love to pop in even if passing after school for one of their famous smartie cookies, which are extreamly popular with the kids locally. The staff always have a laugh with them, and even pulled the odd prank or 2 on the kids when we pop in... The kids love coming here, it's an experience for them thanks to the lovely funny staff. Would recommend.

Pizza 🍕 buonissima sotille e gustosa

This is a mslal family run Italian restaurant in East Putney. Davide and Romina looked after us very well. Romina makes an excellent Negroni Sbagliato cocktail. The Tiramisu is made to an old family recipe which is light and not over-sweet. The portions are generous. We had a fabulous evening and look forward to returning soon.

I've been coming to Pappa Ciccia for a number of years now, and it never disappoints! It's as fantastic for a quick bite, as it is for something a bit more special. The food is always delicious and David and his team do a fantastic job in maintaining the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We waited 40 minutes for a margarita pizza. It arrived cold and resembled a cheap frozen £2.99 pizza from a supermarket. And we aren’t talking Waitrose here.. We were too tired and famished to complain. The service was sub standard not what I’d expect from an independent Italian restaurant. Shame.

Had a tomato and mozzarella sandwich £6.5 it was very dissipating literally had 2 pieces of cheese outside and when opened was literally no mozzarella inside!

What I love the most about this restaurant, this is the warm, friendly and fun atmosphere. You have David, the nicest guy on earth, who would deliver your delicious food to your table with a big smile and always jokes to make you laugh. I live nearby, this is my neighbourhood restaurant, the kind of restaurant where you say “hi” to everyone when you pass by. This is the restaurant you need to feel better when you are having a bad day! Ps: the food is also absolutely delicious!

First dinner here since I moved to Fulham. Absolutely love this restaurant. Especially What makes special is David. Food is amazing, service is outstanding. I am going to be regular for sure!

Extremely terrible service and food . I came there today I had a starter of calamari absolutely revolting as it was rubbery and not cooked at all . When I raised that with the waitress she had the audacity to try it in front of me and question my own judgement. That for me is a straight no no . When a customer says the food is bad you take it to the back . Furthermore to add to that they were bickering over it so loud I could over hear them saying what’s wrong with it. They kept watching over us . My main itself just tasted basic something from a school dinner if I’m honest. The pan fried chicken was dry. When asked for mayonnaise the waitress was like “Oh what you want more isn’t that enough “ What made matters more worse the pasta wasn’t freshly made you could tell. You don’t question the customer you comply and bring the condiment as asked . Overall it’s overpriced rubbish service. Anyone who gives a good review clearly has bland taste and ain’t tasted proper flavourful food . Never again !

Food was typical Italian cuisine cooked very well indeed. Waiter was attentive and made sure we were not without anything. Special requests were followed and we were treated with respect and kindness. First class restaurant.

What a fantastic little Italian place. Really enjoyed the Vongole. Huge portions and not scrimping on the ingredients. Will definitely return.
