Blanche Eatery Hammersmith in Hammersmith and Fulham

The food was superb and couldn't fault it. The waiting staff too, especially the manger and the waiting staff were top notch and couldn't be faulted. However, all was not perfect. We were seated by the door, which despite the heavyweight curtain, didn't stop the cold air. There is nowhere near enough space to welcome visitors inside the door. My daughter didn't want to create a fuss. Then the pricing, £4.25 for a dish of a dozen olives. I know we're paying restaurant prices, (more on that below), but please don't dress up the menu to sound like we're getting an amazing dish of 'Halkidiki Olives', when all it is a few olives on a small dish! The biggest gripe was the so called 'optional service charge'. Charged at 12%, which can only be removed by asking your waiter. We had to pay via the QR code fixed to the table, with no way to remove the 'optional charge'. Then to add insult to injury, the payment method asks you to add a further percentage 'tip' for the waiting staff! Err, excuse me, but what is the 'optional service charge' then? It felt like we the restaurant were using every trick it can to squeeze more money from the customer! (We didn't challenge it as we had to get across the road to the theatre, and again my family didn't want to create a fuss). I wish I had now. All in all, nice food, great staff, but the premises could be better and the pricing and additional charges, (no doubt courtesy of Bills UK's) are an absolute joke. I shan't be going again.

Stopped in for lunch before going to the Apollo theatre. Service was excellent and food fantastic.

Stopped by to have a light lunch after a long bus trip from Heathrow. Had a buggy & 1.5 year old. Everyone including our server Damian were courteous, jovial, friendly, kind & really enhanced our experience. The food was delicious! Toddler ate SO much from our plates which was cool as we are all on a tight budget..will be visiting again in warmer weather but thanks to all the guys who interacted with us, made our day!

Beautiful food and service - we had chicken dumplings and chorizo with hot honey to start, halloumi and a chicken burger, followed by chocolate brownie… delicious!! Service was great: Sid is exceptional and deserves a particular mention!! Promotion for Sid 🎄

I ordered Bill's big brunch, which arrived fairly quickly, but was barely warm unfortunately. Also had large pot of English breakfast tea with one tea bag, so the tea was very weak. On the upside, Did our waiter was very polite.

Fabulous place! The food was presented really well, tasted incredible! Server was a great laugh and we had fun! Only reason it gets 4 starts for atmosphere is that it seemed they had put everyone with children in 1 place which was upstairs with us. It made the floor very cramped and felt slightly over crowded.

We've been at this restaurant 3 times. And these 3 different times, the customer services have been very different. And the plates as well. The food was lovely, however the cleanliness of the glasses and chairs are very questionable. Hammersmith is kind of a posh city, so I expected bill's to not look cheap.

I have a Bills directly opposite my office in Brewer St (Soho). I’ve been in there for coffee once or twice. Never have I felt compelled to take the plunge and eat. Last Sunday I took my brilliant daughter to see Love Actually, with live Orchestra, at Hammersmith Apollo. I picked Bills, from the surprisingly varied options, to fill us up prior to our being entertained. We arrived early. The brilliant front of house manager went out of his way to release a table ahead of time. In a restaurant full to its lid. His effortless charm was refreshing. His manner impeccable and generous. I would marry this man without a thought although I doubt I’d be his type. Once seated, the food arrived quickly, was perfect and plentiful. And Bill’s bill was so small I had to double check (see what I did). Go check. You’ll be surprised.

Lovely food and atmosphere! All the food was freshly made and arrived fast. Our sever was Sid and he was great. There was a problem in the kitchen and there was miner delays but was very calm and apologetic. Overall would go back.

We dropped in without a reservation and the staff were very accommodating and seated us right away. Our server Alex was excellent and attentive and was conscious of our need for the food to be gluten free. The food was very good and the service was brilliant. This is the second time that we have been here and we will return.

The pigs in a blanket were lacking blankets and the duck was not tasty but our server Sid turned everything around and made the experience enjoyable.

Food was excellent, served on time and very tasty. Had an excellent butternut squash, poached egg and sourdough dish. Damian was a fantastic waiter, warm, friendly and attentive to my 4 year old cousin, even bringing her a lolly at the end. One of the best brunches I’ve had in a while.
