The Artisan Cafe in North Norfolk

Nice location but not wheelchair or disabled friendly. Steps up to door and a slippery sort of ramp into cafe and gift shop.Requires someone to update. Gift shop a consortium of local artisans and very good item wise and price wise.

This is a great place to stop for coffee or a more substantial meal. The cheese scones are to die for! Very friendly and appreciative staff, nothing was too much trouble. Beware, you may have to wait because the place is VERY busy being so popular

Disappointed to see you have dropped Pancakes which leaves little on the Menu for Veggies/Vegan. If there’s nothing for them on your menu you may loose all the booking of 3/4/5 ? Perhaps reconsider. We support you, but won’t be back until there is more than Waffles of Veg fry up as there is lots more on offer nearby. Regards Smithssutbas@aol.com

We went (Sat 3rd Aug) and once again our visit was ace! We’ve been many times - The food is delicious and the staff are fabulous. Nothing is too much of a problem for them that’s why we keep going back. My favourite place to eat in North Norfolk. Keep up the great work.

We popped in for coffee and cake with Mother-in-law who is a wheel chair user. The male member of staff who greeted us at the door couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. After asking if we had booked or not he directed us to a side door where he said we would find it easier to get into the restaurant. He quickly arranged for a wheel chair accessible table and checked that we comfortable and settled before asking if we would be having lunch. We were so impressed by the warm welcome that we decided to stay for a meal. I had the quiche of the day, which was delicious. The service was exceptional, friendly, efficient, helpful and very quick. The food was both delicious and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this enough and we look forward to returning soon.

Just what we needed on a cold and wet, blustery day. We'd intended just stopping for coffee and cake, but decided to have lunch instead as the menu looked so tempting. We were not dissappointed, food was lovely. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Great by a charming member of staff who quickly cleaned a table for us, gave us menus to peruse and sat us down. Great menu and very tasty food. All staff delightful, so cheerful and helpful.

We heard the the place was great and it didn't disappoint. We had a fabulous breakfast and the staff were great. If you're a coffee lover you'll also not be disappointed, it's the best coffee I've had. We'll certainly be going again.

We have been here a couple of times now and it doesn’t disappoint. The food is freshly cooked and very well presented. There is a specials board too and the Ploughmans was excellent. The staff are very welcoming extremely friendly and in no way do you feel rushed even though they are very busy. This will certainly be a regular stopping point on our trips to Norfolk.

Delicious lunch and cakes. A coeliacs dream with all the gluten free options. The staff are genuinely super friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. Would definitely recommend!

We’ve been coming here regularly for lunches and continue to fall in love with this place even more each time we come !!! The staff are so lovely and welcoming as you walk through the door, you are looked after so well throughout your visit by the wonderful Team!! The food is brilliant and all at really good prices!! Absolutely full up when we left!!! However I did take away 3x home made Cinnamon Swirls!! That has been cooked whilst we were there!!! The smell when they came out was out of this world!!! 👌

Love this cafe! First class service, staff so friendly and welcoming can’t do enough to help- food is just awesome, cheese scones with the ‘wafer’ are amazing, coffee is lovely, our little dog is welcome too - always feel valued when we visit - first class !

A dog friendly stop: they are welcome inside and outside the cafe - with the benefit of some excellent craft work on sale. Very busy for a Tuesday lunchtime and cafe isn't huge, so as there were already quite a few dogs in there chose to sit outside under cover of a gazebo. Staff served the food to the table with a smile. Picked the roast pork dinner, something I always feel is difficult to do as well as you can do at home, but this was very good piping hot, lots of pork, stuffing, Yorkshire pud, roastes and lots of nice fresh veggies.

My first meal of ham, egg and chips was cold but they rectified this really quickly and were very nice about it. The thing is the next one came out warm but because it had all been placed on a cold plate it went just as cold really quickly. They really could do with warming the plates before serving. It is quite basic and we even do this at home. My mother in law had a grilled chicken burger, which really was just some chicken breast in a roll with some garlic mayo and my husband had a steak salad which he said was really good. The staff and management were super nice and friendly and the cafe is lovely. It is also very welcoming of dogs but sadly I wouldn't rush back.

Stoped for lunch again at this lovely welcoming cafe- cheese scone was great very cheesy( sounds daft but amazing how bland some cheese scones can be) my sister and her daughter shared the seafood platter which they thoroughly enjoyed. We managed coffee and a slice of chocolate fudge cake between 3- it was divine! The staff were their usual friendly welcoming selves- so lucky to love close to this gem!

Visited early lunchtime and asked if we could have coffee then order. Occasion was a belated lunch for friend’s birthday. Leisurely coffee, waitress just said call when ready to order. Friendly, amenable and attentive. Catered for my request of no oils etc and had a delicious Mediterranean vegetable pasta. Friend had a seafood flatbread which she said was lovely. Good sized filling portions. Restaurant busied up but we were not rushed to vacate our seats etc. Reasonable price and highly recommend. Thank you.

Had breakfast it was £12 one sausage two bacon half a tomato one egg one slice of sourdough hash brown and mushrooms and beans. Egg was hard and badly cooked, mushrooms cold, hash brown cheap frozen. Bacon anaemic no colour fat white When I pay £12 for a breakfast I expect it to be cooked properly and good quality. Staff were very good think you need a new breakfast chef that can cook!
