Nice restaurant with great service and atmosphere. We had dinner on a weekday evening, wasn't busy and we enjoyed it a lot. The food was fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Garlic and chilli prawns for starters were exceptional. The main and desserts were very delicious, too. The staff was very friendly, polite and welcoming!

Great place for Sunday lunch. Visited Coventry to see my son whose at uni there and needed a nice place for lunch. This was a good find parking on the road for 2 hours round the corner or a big car park next door, lovely old building querky place, staff super friendly and attentive. 2 courses for £22/23 roast beef and pork, beef was really tasty good portions, chocolate fondant yummy. Booked for 12.30 , strated to get busy about 1ish. Will visit again the next time we pay my son a visit.

Return visit on 15th January 2023: 20oz T-bone steak at £25 each - absolutely srummmy. Great, humorous service, too. Truly one of Coventry's (not so) hidden gems. First visit: Fabulous experience for their Sunday roast. Three of us ordered the beef, which was the tenderest I've ever tasted. They will accomodate you, too, if you prefer it to be cooked well-done. Service was excellent and attentive but you must book ahead for Sundays as I witnessed them turning potential customers away due to being fully booked. Great all-round experience in this historic venue.

Amazing place to eat could not fault the food at all. We had our works christmas lunch here and the staff were really friendly, the service was spot on and the menu was absolutely delicious food was exactly as described and presentation was amazing. I can only leave 1 star as we don't know what the food, service and atmosphere is like. I called on 30th December to ask if they had any tables available for New Year's Eve. Someone took my booking, so imagine my surprise when we arrived and it was closed for the evening! Highly disappointing.

Hosted a surprise party at Artisan in their space at the back and what a brilliant night we had! The staff were amazing and the manager was fantastic throughout the booking process and letting us decorate the room however we wanted. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a space for a party! Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were here for a works annual get together. The disco played some nice tunes as we sat there huddled together in the cold, no effort was made by the management to rectify the problem. We estimated -1c outside possibly 8-10c inside. We enjoyed our drinks apart from a very eager glass collector taking one away before it was finished. Attention to detail and first impressions are everything and ours was not the best.

Without a doubt the best steak in Coventry. Always keeps up the quality and their excellent service. I have visited this restaurant multiple times and will definitely visit again. Recommended for all.

Food was excellent, the only downside being it wasn't hot enough fir me as I do like my food piping hot, however beef was tender, roast pots were excellent, gravy was lovely with a pit on the side which was great, the cauliflower cheese actually tasted of cheese and the mash was cremey and tasty, w pukd definitely go again ...loved it x

First time here for Sunday lunch. We were a party of 16. We arrived at 12:30 but told our booking was for 4:30pm - without hesitation the staff sorted a table for us all and what a beautiful Sunday lunch - highly recommend this place - staff were amazing.

The spot is great the food simple but. Tasty our reservation was 21:00-11:00 When we arrived they inform us than the kitchen is closed in a few minutes so to order very quickly.we were the only customers. the staff was constantly collecting and fixing things in a small space At 10 they said something to us if we mind paying until 10:30. We felt that we were bothering, we didn't enjoy our exit. If they don't want to work until 11:00 then why they make reservations???

Fantastic food and great service. A very nice setting I had the fillet and my colleagues had the rump. Everybody really enjoyed the food and reasonably priced too. We will be back.

What a find? Visited the Car Museum and fancied a Sunday Lunch. Short walk away Artisan Bar and Grill. Very good price £25 for a three course meal. Prawn cocktail was delicious, cold and very fresh. Roast beef was literally melt in the mouth. Took my daughter and grandsons 9 and 12. They had the children's meal which was fantastic too. A hidden Gem. Staff were above and beyond. Will definitely be going back.

After reading all the positive reviews about this restaurant we were really looking forward to our visit for my sons birthday. We were quite disappointed with the experience and the service. In an adjoining room they were hosting a large birthday party and we felt we were neglected as a result. Our service was very limited and rushed. The staff were not very friendly and seemed gruff. We asked for a jug of water three times before it came. After we ordered we were told they had run out of rib eye steaks and then when the food arrived were told they had run out of sirloins. My husband steak was tough. My lamb was tasty however and the vegetables were good. Everyone enjoyed their chips but we were just underwhelmed. To their credit the restaurant didn’t charge us for the fourth meal but our overall experience wasn’t great. I had the feeling that this was a great place but we did not see the best of them last night.

My wife and I visited during a stopover in Coventry having seen other reviews. This is a fabulous place in a characterful building, with a limited but high quality menu, great friendly staff …. if we lived in Coventry we would definitely visit multiple times as there was so much on the menu which was appealing. My wife’s sea bass and my sirloin were absolutely perfect. I tend to only write reviews when I have received an exceptional experience …. this was one of those occasions. It was a Thursday evening and there were quite a few unused tables - this place deserves to be full every night.

We had the ribeye steak and fries which was just great. Excellent service by a charming young lady. In my opinion, the best place to enjoy a steak in the whole of Coventry. The wine list is a bit limited but the Malbec is a good choice of red.

Went here for a Saturday night out with family, we have visited a few times before. And as usual the overall experience of both food, service was spot on. Nothing pretentious about the place, just good honest food served in a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, we will definitely visit again ourselves. Good night all round. Thankyou.

Wow. The fillet steak….. just wow.

We’ve been 3 times now for a Sunday roast, each a few weeks/months apart. The food is fantastic every time. Really good value for money. The staff are brilliant, really welcoming and friendly.

A great experience spoiled by poor, gristly pieces of steak. Well cooked, nicely presented and with friendly staff, but the chef needs to buy better meat.

Beautiful food intimate location highly recommended

After hearing so many good reviews, I finally get a chance to try it myself. A party if 9 (2 children) went but it wasn't clear if there was a children's menu. There was a few options and our kids loved their food. Most the party had steak, a mix of Ribeye and Sirlion. We all had sauces and the chips were some of the best chips any of us had tasted. My steak was cooked to perfection and a beautiful cut but some of the party's cuts were a little fatty but still delicious. The portions were good and we were all more than satisfied with the meal. I would definitely go back as a treat for an occasion.

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Coventry, worth every penny. Exemplary!

The Sunday roast is by far the best roast dinner in Coventry and surrounding areas. The beef is cooked perfectly, roast potatoes are like home cooked which you never get in a restaurant. The veg is perfectly cooked, and finished off with really tasty gravy. Almost forgot the yorkshire puddings which are also perfect. This place is consistently good! Staff are great too!

Amazing meal at the Artisan. I had the Ribeye steak tender as anything, served with chips and Bloody Mary butter was amazing. Eden was so lovely she took my allergies seriously made great recommendations and made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this place and if you have the pleasure of getting Eden to serve you will have the best combination of meal and service.

We stopped in here for a meal to break up our 4.5hr journey from Manchester to Guildford and we were not disappointed. These guys know how to cook a steak and season it well! The chips to go with were fantastic and the mushroom was just the cherry on top! Will definitely be stopping by again when we’re in the area!

Very nice restaurant, best steak I have had in a while.

We decided to go to the restaurant for our sons birthday as it was one of our favourite restaurants years ago and we haven’t been for a few years as we live out of the city. We was a table of 6 and no one else was in the restaurant. We all only had mains and the menu is very small (no complaining about the menu). However, the waitress still managed to make 4 mistakes, serving a ribeye medium/rare instead of as it was order… medium, it was also served with the wrong sauce, and instead of medium/rare for one of the steaks it was rare, the waitress then also got my daughters order completely wrong, my daughter order filet steak, but the waitress mistakes this for ribeye, my daughter was then told she would have to wait a further 15 minutes for the correct dish but was served her side. Meaning once her meal arrived the rest of the family was almost finished and her side was cold. We acknowledge human error, as we all make mistakes. However, there was no apology or acknowledgement of her mistakes. The waitress was pregnant so she could have quite easily apologise, and even blame it on “baby brain” and we would have been understanding but the was no apology what so ever…nothing! The waitress then spent the whole time in the kitchen so whenever we required service for drinks, condiments etc. We would have to get up from the table and get her attention from the kitchen. I have to be fair and say even with the mistakes the food was very nice (as it always is). However, the service was poor and for my family food service is equally as important as the quality of the food, if not more important. For this reason we didn’t not leave a tip which is a shame as I can honestly say the chief actually deserved one but the lack of service prevented us from leaving a tip. Overall a very disappointing experience and because of this we will not be visiting again anytime soon, such a shame as the food is actually amazing here. When I got home, and was discussing the lack of service with the family. I wasn’t sure it’s find out that we actually paid a service charge as I would’ve asked for that to be removed. I would recommend customer service training.

Fancied steak and was not disappointed. Lovely cosy restaurant with friendly staff. Steak very tasty, soft and tender, and cooked medium rare as requested. The chips and sides were also very good. Cheese board was huge and plenty for us to share one. Really enjoyed the experience.

Good quality food. Around £60 for two with drinks. Only thing, if you a beer lover , don’t expect a big choice of good beer or IPA, could be better choice…

Prawns very over done. No real skill involved. Just parawns! The pork starter was pretty basic as well. Although my partner liked the croquettes. The lamb main was served what was called salsa verde but tasted off and almost like mint and vinegar from a jar. It was vile. We were starving so we ate what we could. I had the seabass. The fish was nice but that was it. The new pots had no seasoning, there was no sauce. The prawns were like bullets. I'm gonna guess the chef doesn't work on Mondays because it was a 2/10 from both of us. The price of £80 one one and 1 coke. This isn't good enough won't bother coming back.

Once again a humungous thank you to Leigh and all his staff for today's dinner. I was treated by my son Phil to a take-away dinner for Mother's day. Roast lamb... which was so tender (and tasty) that it fell apart as my fork went in, beautiful roast potatoes, cabbage, peas and carrots cooked to perfection (but I don't know how the are cooked as they have a super taste), homemade Yorkshire pudding topped with rich lamb gravy. The Artisan dinners and meals are well worth trying so that you can taste excellent food for yourselves. Once again a huge thank you... feeling well stuffed and satisfied now

Visited on a Tuesday night (7th March). Asked for a table for 2. Restauraunt pretty much empty - but there were a few customers seated in there, eating or waiting for food. The lady who met us as we arrived told us that "...the kitchen is closed!" and followed up with "It closes at 9!". I wouldn't have minded so much, except the booking website clearly takes bookings for later, and to top it all off, when I checked my watch the time was actually 20:40!! Clearly don't need customers. Good luck staying open in the current economic climate!

Have just enjoyed an amazing two course meal (party of four) for just £20 each and this was genuinely the best Sunday roast I've ever had, the roast beef was beyond perfect. Thanks guys!

We visited the Artisan last night for my partners birthday meal. The food and ambiance were amazing. Leigh, Claire and the rest of the team, were super efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We had a party of 13 and everyone’s food was cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend.

Food was just standard, a bit overpriced, horrible service I paid the deposit for 11 people and ended up having 9 people having lunch there. The deposit for the absent 2 people couldn't be deducted from the final bill. That is reasonable but it'd be nice if the staff could let us know upon our arrival instead of us finding out when checking the bill. One weird thing is they only charge a 10% service charge for table of 6 people or more. The girl who took our orders and served the food looked grumpy all the time for some reason... We sat in the room outside the kitchen. All the windows were closed, the room was hot and there was no ventilation. Horrible experience and wouldn't recommend dining here. For the price you're paying you can probably find a place with same quality of food but better service and environment.

Great king prawns and Belly pork starters. Steak was good, one cooked rare was a little fatty but good. Chips and onion rings were also good. Lady serving our table was extremely pleasant.

Went to the restaurant for my birthday and I can honestly say this was quite possibly the best steak I have ever eaten. Cannot fault the service or the food from start to finish a delightful experience in a quality restaurant. We will 100% be returning very soon.
