The Arlington in Norwich

The food was good , the staff and service I couldn't fault , the ambience and decor of the restaurant is lovely , the toilets were clean and fresh , there is a good size carpark with a few more spaces to the rear of the building , I would say the price is a little bit more than I would like to pay but it seems everywhere else is similar in price nowadays , I will have more meals here as overall it was a good venture out 👍👍👍

I had a delicious meal, and the service was excellent. Spacious and comfortable dining room and nice atmosphere throughout.

Fantastic place to eat. We have met Ryan and Josh on the last few visits and everytime we have left with great vibes. The kitchen staff get it right everytime also. ( Ryan - talk to kitchen 😀 ) Prior to meeting Ryan, we have always been very well catered for from all members of the team. We love the family setup and look forward to seeing you soon, with Sophie now stepping up in their role. Top!

We’ve just had the most amazing meal here, the Arlington chicken was incredible and my partner had the lamb from the specials. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I’ve seen some very negative reviews for here but no idea where they come from, I couldn’t fault this place, the food and the staff were both exceptional. I highly recommend it.

Today was not the best roast I’ve had. The girl who seated us didn’t even ask us if we wanted a drink. We sat and waited 20mins then walked to the bar to get served. Disappointingly only the roast potatoes were hot. However Michelle her other colleague who had a name tag on were very helpful

An absolutely perfect plate of delicious food at a bargain price in a cosy setting. Having been house-hunting in the neighbourhood, we stopped for a late lunch without a reservation. We both had the chicken daily special (£13.95) which was quickly served, well presented and, whilst a simple dish, was delicious and filling. The accompanying fresh vegetables were cooked to perfection. The service was professional and friendly. Honestly, the whole experience was faultless. If we do find a house nearby, this will definitely become our preferred "local"

Don’t know about the food as we walked out! Our awful experience started with the unwelcoming lady on reception who was very vague about our booking. We were finally shown to a table. There was an open jug of water already on the table. When I asked if this could be replaced, we were met with utter rudeness. It was non verbal but very obvious. We couldn’t now continue in this place so we left and went to the Red Lion, Eaton, can’t recommend Red Lion enough. Lovely lunch in the end despite the awful experience at the Arlington/George. First and last time!

Terribly disappointing with food quality and service. Only good thing is the fact that we will never have to visit again, as all 4 peoples share same opinion

The Arlington is located at Arlington Ln, Newmarket Rd, Norwich NR2 2DA. The food is fresh and delicious. Duck and fish are tasteful, but the price is not expensive. Highly recommended.
