The Arkley in Barnet

This restaurant was a great venue for a lunchtime 50th birthday celebration. Adrian and Olivia warmly welcomed our family and friends for my son's birthday. They were able to provide a separate space, which they were happy for us to decorate and so make the most of this happy occasion. At all times they were anxious to make sure that we had everything we needed to entertain our guests. The delicious food and drink arrived at the times we requested and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for a similar occasion. Thank you!!

Our team from work organised a colleague's retirement lunch and evening drinks at The Arkley. The lunch was delicious and enjoyed by all. We were a big group and staff were amazingly accommodating in helping and allowing us to set up decorations to make the event extra special. A special mention to to Olivia who was attentive and made sure we were happy and had whatever we needed to ensure our colleague got a special retirement party!

I visited with colleagues for lunch. Our waiter Milan was excellent, friendly and helpful. He was patient with us and made sure we got everything we asked for. Rena behind the bar was also very helpful and Olivia the manager was friendly and checked to ensure we were well taken care of. The food was excellent. Overall a wonderful experience. We will be back again.

Excellent place for lunch with relaxed atmosphere and wide menu choice, and friendly staff, thoroughly recommend the Arkley.

I only rated my visit as one as there was no zero. Attended with my son today for lunch and waited 15 minutes at the bar with no staff to serve us. One girl looked over at us and said she would be over in a minute, which never happened. We decided to leave and on our way out the usual barman was in conversation with some customers outside and was still in conversation when we drove out of there. Went to the Gate pub along the road and got served very quickly even though the place was packed with nearly all the tables full. The Arkley however had only 2 tables being used, now we know why. Will never go to the Arkley again.

Situated on the Barnet Road near Barnet Hospital. Limited parking on site but available in the surrounding streets, where not restricted Very happy smiling waitresses who saw to every need. Food was outstanding and nicely presented All in all a very pleasant dining experience. Will definitely revisit Cannesdid .... surfing syd

Went for a Sunday lunch with my husband and had a lovely meal. The food was good and the atmosphere was friendly. Great for couples, friends or families with children. Nice variety offered on the menu and care given to allergies. The whole experience was enhanced by our lovely server Adele who went over and above to look after us and engaged in lively and interesting conversation. What a treasure! Highly recommend for a delightful meal out.

Visited on a Sunday, early evening. Good food, good wine, we asked to try two before making our decision on which to order. Had a variety of food between us, including the duo of beef which was perfectly cooked. Love the ambience of The Arkley. Service was good too.

Thank you to Mat & Olivia who went up & above to fit a family of 6 into an already packed restaurant as we didn’t book beforehand. Food & service absolutely fantastic. I really recommend in every way & definitely going back. Thanks again you made our family get together a fabulous day.

I often visit the Arkley as it’s not only my local but a really good restaurant/pub. It’s divided into different spaces with an attractive bar, and two different seating areas - very attractive. It also has a terrace and parking! It serves excellent food, is child friendly and the welcome and service are brilliant.

I chose the Lamb Rump for lunch yesterday but what I got was a large lump of fat with barely a morsel of meat to be seen. I retuned the meal and was told via a Waitress from the chef that if he cooked another piece of Lamb rump it would be the same! Why is he serving something that is not fit for consumption. I was offered an alternative dish. The Manager seemed reluctant to come to the table until he was called. I felt that he should have come willingly and offered his apologies and not just left it to a part time student who was waitressing and doing a very good job. A poor experience for me and the other seven people we were dining with. Will give it s miss in future.

As soon as we walked in to the pub I was impressed by the decor. I haven't been there for many years and they have really smartened it up cso it looks like a nice comfy hotel. We went for Sunday lunch at really enjoyed it. The waitresses (old fashion term I know) were very pleasant and only made one mistake with the order which wasn't a problem. I had a feta and king prawn starter in the most amazing red sauce. Really great. The other starters were all well received. But the highlight was the Sunday roast beef duo which we all gad. Absolutely superb. A huge portion which is always a good start, loads of veg really well vooked and the beef was ever so tasty. We were so full up by the end of that that we just had a single scoop of honeycomb ice cream.

Amazing food loved the pizzas and linguine will defo be back and the sticky toffee was perfect wil be back washed down with a really good alberino

The food is presented well but tastes like a glammed up microwave meal which at around £16 + feels like a rip off. I've tried it, lesson learned wont be coming back.

Finn our waiter was brilliant. He helped settle in and made the birthday meal very enjoyable. A great night.

We have been for a number of Sunday lunches which have all been great so we decided to bring family here for Easter Sunday. The food was lovely. Nice variety on menu and all chosen dishes delicious. Stand out quality is amazing care on service. Some of my party have allergies and the server could not have been better in caring for all our needs from the 80yr olds to the young. May I especially commend our server Adele who exceptional in her attention and kindness to my family. Most wonderful efficient and kind attention. Thank you

Huge thank you to the wonderful Rajinda who was quite literally the hostess with the mostest! She was running around taking drinks orders, food orders, stoking the wonderful fire we were sat next to and just generally making everyone feel welcome 😊
