Great place for eclectic gigs, with friendly staff and good vibe.

Great atmosphere... they served 2 different gluten free beers on tap!!! Cheers to that!!

5 stars because after 3 pint of guinnes I’m rn in the toilet peeing and it’s so clean and scented!!! Best feeling ever, really well done.

I come here a lot with my friends and I love this place. Great vibe, great staff and they’ve got a wide selection of drinks. The music is always good too… which is always a bonus! I know there karaoke on Tuesday which I’ll definitely be going along for.

Great selection of drinks but when a regular patron made predatory moves on my friend and I the staff awkwardly did nothing after we asked for Angela as well. Very disappointing this place is a perfect meeting spot in terms of location but I won’t be back

Great for quick drink after work

Came here for an entertainment show. There's not much to write home about. There is a small, not widely stocked bar, a medium-sized space where chairs were laid out in front of a small stage that has a DJ booth. It would be appropriate to hire for a private party/event/gathering. Toilets were clean enough. Staff, for the event we attended, were approachable. All in all, it was alright.

The security was harassing me in the toilet. Where no CCTV could be found. Going through my pockets. Touching me. Checking my volet. No cash was there. He could do it in front of CCTV. That's a bit of a criminal behaviour. 02/11/2024

No football. People come to spend their money plus there is a way of talking to the customer. I do not recommend this pub. It has been 6 months since I last came. The staff were more friendly and respectful of the customers. I do not recommend it.

New update: new manager and the attitude is refreshing enjoyable. Rerated 5* Last orders are earlier than the listed closing time. It’s v clear the staff want to go home early. Aside from this it’s a good drinking hole.

Nice friendly staff, lots of tables. A bit cold. £6.95 a pint of Guinness. I asked. £6.20 pint of Magners.

How they justify their beer prices I don’t know - you can find pubs with cheaper pints in soho. Food is average.

If you think of popping in here on your way home from dinner, don't bother. Had the promise of being something really banging when it reopened, but it has missed the mark. And now, it has staff that want nothing more than to get you out the door as soon as you walk in. Such a shame. Especially as the beer line up is great.

Good choice of drinks, competitively priced. I did ask to see if they had a phone charger I could borrow (hate to do this, but my water bottle leaked over my current one!) Would have stayed for another beer, but will head elsewhere in search of one and a charger! 😝

They have an awesome air conditioning system which is great on a hot day!

My host today was George very friendly and helpful bartender. He made Kizbash experience amazing

George was amazing with all the people. We had organized a Kizomba party with @kizbashuk one of the best urbankiz event in London.

Quite like it here, laid back place just outside the station. Good for people watching

I used to be a regular here in the early 1980’s when I lived nearby. Boy had it changed! It’s now a trendy bar with a good food selection. Excellent choice of beers at prices that would have made me cry then but are normal for London these days.

Great place to go on a Monday night for live music, selection of artists and styles. Still good.

Nice enough pub, but barman needs to treat customers with manners; please and thank you would go far as he didn't seem very interested in the customers, just the transaction. Pubs are much nicer places when the bar staff are customer service oriented.

It's a good place to sit outside in the sun, or for a quiet weekday pint. But they do seem to keep a succession of some of the worst beers ever made. Often by the also-rans of the London brewing scene, but occasionally from elsewhere. Each visit presents some new abomination or other. No idea why.

Terrible place for the football fan, "Only England and Scotland games with sound " 🤢🤮

Silly attitude saying they only play sound for English football game while the pub was empty inside and it wouldn't have changed anything for them to play the sound for Georgia vs Turkey game. Disgraceful

Very average. Busy, but why. Over £6 a beer. NO cash, just card. I went from inside to outside to have a cigarette, when I came back, beer gone. It's a machine. Order beer, barstaff give it to you and point at card terminal. No please, thanks or goodbye when leaving. Not great.

I was in London for 3 weeks. After my work, I drank a Guinness here. It is a very enjoyable place.

Great time spent there, ambush guaranteed for us, servers at the top and super friendly. Baby Guinness super good, I recommend

Pale ale is £6.80, although I think there were afew cheaper pints on the menu. New vegan /veg menu is a bargain. Atmosphere in the pub is nice and they have board games and a function room for hire.

Love this place. Visiting from ireland for a family event. Great big place to stop into for a pint or two. There are pub quizes along with other entertainment on on various evening. Board games available so put the mobile phones away and have some fun. Will definitely be back again.

Great staff and drinks. I didn't eat, so i can't comment on that. However, if it's as good as their staff, i imagine it would be very nice.

Basic venue but overall a good night. We went to see a raw event that was showing. Chocolate men performance.

What a disappointment. This isn't at all the pub I came to love less than a year ago. For context, before I lived in Archway I used to visit this place once a month for over a year. It was the closest pub to the Premier Inn where I would stay. I loved that it was always the same faces behind the bar and I even became friendly with some of the regulars. It was a warm, welcoming environment. Great beer, poured professionally. The atmosphere was also great. I loved their Monday night live music. I can't lie. Apart from the fact they didn't do food, this was genuinely my favourite pub in London and one of the reasons I was so happy to move to Archway. But in the months since living here, I've been to the tavern a handful of times and every experience has been awful. For two weeks I came and there was no beer on tap, and one time there was not even any wine. I was told by the stressed staff to come back on Wednesday or Thursday if I wanted the full selection. So I did, but we came on the night of the quiz. It was aggressively invasive for those of us not competing and too miserable outside to escape the noise. We finished our poorly poured beers and left. A week later I returned to be served by the same man who was hosting the quiz. He poured me another bad beer. Absolutely no idea. Where did all the staff who knew how to pour beer go? I don't recognise any of these faces. The last time I came I waited almost 10 minutes at an empty bar to be served. Finally, another staff member who I had never seen before came out. No apology. No character of warmth. Again, a terrible pour. This place has become miserable. I can't think of any reason to come back now. Thank God there are other pubs in the area.

Fantastic place, fantastic people

Located just next to Archway tube station, this is a nice, chilled pub to go in groups for a catch up over drinks. I see many children in the pub, so it seems pretty child friendly. The bar staff were nice and polite. Definitely will return for drinks and catch up with friends/colleagues again.

Fantastic place to enjoy a good pint. Great variety of beers and has great historical importance, having appeared on the cover of the Kinks' Muswell Hillbillies.

Nice pub ,fair prices and good range of beers, great location by Archway tube , friendly staff , service was a bit disjointed but overall very good place.

I do like this pub, but like others in the area it likes to serve peanuts in a bowl rather than in their packets. I was served what must have been 2 or 3 packets in a bowl and charged extra for the privilege. I only came in for a pint!

Good basic pub,range of micro brews plus standard beers and lagers. Choice of wine let it down the house reds were very poor,sampled but didnt buy. Thank you for the service.

Horrible place, horrid beer that tasted off and staff that looked as if they wanted to fight you rather than serve you. Toilet not good. Outside are like sitting in a force ten gale and no decent food to speak of. Never again...

The staff were very pleasant. However very disappointed that cash is not welcome. As far as I know cash is still legal so I want to know what gives them the right to refuse cash.

Met Tom who runs the pub. Very nice man. Nicer still was the steak tartare which was very well executed. Top gaff!

Good range of beers on tap but many not available on a surprisingly quiet Friday evening. Very handy for the tube.

Right at the heart of Archway! Hard to miss and an amazing selection of beverages and a big beer garden .

I was only here for a private function at the rear of the building, but the staff were friendly and helpful, and the main bar and outside seating area looked really good. The on tap cider was cool and refreshing. I didn't eat here, so can't comment on the food.

A Friday night visit. It may be because I remember it of old when it was a busy, busy pub with music and a large Irish contingent but it feels and looks bland. Having said that the staff are friendly and good service .

It seems to be the case that you have to queue at the bar to get a drink, none of that old school finding a space and allowing the bar staff to sort out who's next. It's OK though, good beer and nice and clean.

Nice pub with a shared history with the British rick band The Kinks. In the early 70's the band were photographed standing at the bar and the picture was subsequently used as a gatefold sleeve fir their albumn " The Muswell Hillbillies" . The original bar is no longer there and the new built one is further back. Limited menu...very limired...but the brisket bun was delicious and packed. Paper plates was a negative in terms of green commerce in my opinion. Great Guinness

Nice pub to have a drink. Please note that this is a traditional English pub with limited food options beyond a few snacks and newly introduced dishes. It is also a convenient place to sit with your laptop if you dont want to go to Starbucks. If you are looking for a pub/ restaurant this is not likely to be the place for you.

The pub has so much potential, great space and location. Reasonable drinks selection. Awful customer service! You feel like you’re inconveniencing the bar staff by being there. Started closing up, turning the lights off, sweeping and stacking chairs around us at 9pm, 2 hours before closing! It’s a shame, the drinks don’t redeem the service

I had my 50th birthday party at the Archway Tavern in February and I’m so glad I did. The space is great…big enough for all my friends to sit or stand to chat and catch up, DJs (or a band) on stage and dancing, but cosy enough such that it didn’t feel like a soulless function hall. The fairy lights really set the mood! The manager and General Manager were great and so helpful with the planning in the lead up to my birthday party. Staff on the night were super lovely. I had so many comments from my friends saying how friendly the bar and door staff were. Thank you for making the night so memorable for me!

Great, venue with a club’s/large rental venue which they normally have dancing classes, art, classes, and comedy events every Tuesday.

Fond memories of this pub when working on building sites around London in the 1990s. I used to be able to go and cash my wages cheques through a little hatch on a Tuesday or Wednesday (instead of waiting until Friday for it to clear in the bank) and enjoy a pint or 4 with a £50 I.O.U. they'd give out while waiting for the cheque to clear. The Pogues on the dukebox and horseracing on the tv, you could still smoke in the pub back then. Can't believe it's 30 years ago. Glad to see it's still open, I'll call in later this Summertime when I'm back in the smoke.

Fit for purpose to see Chocolate Men but certainly not a luxury venue.

Not surprising this place was near empty on a Saturday given their customer service (or more specifically lack of it). A group of us visited, buying drinks with the intention to stay for the evening. A couple of drinks in, one person in our group bought an aperol spritz which to our surprise came pre-mixed. Anyway (and unsurprisingly) it tasted disgusting: the prosecco in it had clearly gone off and tasted like a white wine left open and unrefrigerated for several days and had a strong, clearly off smell. Despite this, the owner/manager rudely insisted the drink was fine and offered to do nothing about it. Any ordinary pub would have apologised (or at a minimum brushed it off by saying “oh sorry you don’t like the taste”) and offered a new drink of choice, especially given we had purchased a large number of drinks and not complained once. Anyway, we promptly left and went somewhere more welcoming. A group of local customers lost over the owner/manager’s lack of service. Toilets could do with a clean too.

Today I went to see "Various Artists" who were live at this venue. Great acoustics! Drinks were priced alright, though I'm a little better off than others financially, so make of that what you will. Probably gonna visit again.

Just fantastic! The pub is always great, the beer is always great and the staff are always amazing. Love the place. Love it so much that we recently held a second event in the function room.....and what a great day we all had. Dealing with the events manager Léa was a real pleasure, lot's of people in this industry seem to have quite inflated ego's but not this team. She listened to every request we had, was direct when needed, prompt with every communication and completely transparent (i.e. no bs). Just a total pleasure to deal with, from the owner all the way to the pub dog. Once again thanks so much Archway Tavern. Google didn't allow a second review so our previous is below. So so so expensive absolute rip off and it’s not even the greatest of places atmosphere wise or food wise etc. There is absolutely nothing special about it yet they think they can charge The Ritz prices

A beer after a visit to the market on a Saturday is a sweet joy. Sometimes they spoil it by having many stages with bands playing. The space in the pub is open but I can't speak to their ventilation. Their beer selection is good and local. Staff always helpful!

It's ok! Decent for a music venue but in terms of what you think of a pub not the greatest poor toiletery efforts in terms of toilet paper and NO SNACKS told you can get your own from outside when you have very clearly come to see the acts.

Mega expensive. Always find the bar staff less than welcoming also. For the prices they charging a friendly demeanor would go a long way. A one stop pub if you in the area.

Beers were fairly spenny, though I guess that’s the same in most of this area. They weren’t the best either - the Guinness was a meh. They have live music on Mondays. The artists and the host were really good and so it’s worth a visit for that. Overall, just decent!

Very pretty pub. Loved the music, service was good.

I reached out to lea from events to book the function room for my sons christening after party, I informed them of the numbers of guests and time of event. I was also asked how many children would be attending because i had mentioned that children would ofcorse be there since its a family event. I was previously told by one of the bar staff that it is a family friendly venue and they have a licence for children. I was then told by lea we could go ahead with the booking and sent me bank details for taking the deposit (100% of the minimum spend). When I arrived at the pub to see the space and discuss logisitics I received an email saying that they now have a over 25s policy which is an absurd "policy" when i read the email outloud the general manager looked confused and told me we have had childrens christenings in the past. I was told I'd be contacted as soon as possible once they had discussed it to see if they could make an exception. This didn't happen so I went back to the pub to query about it, I was told that the children were and issue and they didn't want to deal with it so they would no longer be willing to accommodate my booking. If your looking to book a family friendly event I wouldn't bother.

Went there for a colleague's leaving do. Pleasant enough decor and surroundings, following the refurb. However drinks are massively overpriced. The cola tastes like medicine. Not going back in a hurry
