We had the plantain and soft shell tacos, the plantain was delicious but the crab was quite bland. The portion sizes and even the sides were on the small side. We had the refried beans and corn as sides, which were just okay.

Not Mexican food at all. Very expensive, very ugly, and white people trying to appropriate a culture that isn't even theirs. I recommend Sonora Taqueria!

Poor food quality. Terrible atmosphere. No authentic Mexican food. Breaded oysters? Ew. I recommend Sonora Taqueria or Tacos CDMX.

Delicious soft tacos - the carnitas and birria tacos were both superb - amid other tasty choices. Service is friendly and the restaurant is airy and bright.

I'm so sorry....but the food was really not good. Nice looking place, the staff were fine. I had the birria tacos, grilled pok tacos, kibis yacatecos and a quesadilla. Personally, flet like a waste of money. Do with that information what you will.

The food is genuinely brilliant (except the ceviche - don’t bother), but the service was comically poor. Don’t put a 12.5% service charge on if every member of staff is either stood around idle or spilling something!

Delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend the corn and cod tacos. Ate here after seeing a show up the road at Sadler’s Wells and it was perfect.

I've been there before more than a year ago and had a good experience. This time no. Once upon a time they were doing good food... not anymore. They sell tacos as 'birria tacos' that are just normal soggy tacos with some meat, no cheese, no crispy bits, nothing to do with what birria is... Quesadilla are very poor. And all it's very expensive for the quality/service provided...

What a horrible dining experience. Came here last year and it was excellent. This time was disappointing. The food was not good and very expensive. Black bean dip was salty and my chicken quesedilla was so dry I couldn't finish it. I complained but the server didn't know what to do about it. It wasn't removed from the bill. Birria tacos were not Birria tacos - just dry beef and onions on a taco. Margaritas were too sweet. Skip this place. There are many other good mexican places in London.

If I could give no stars I would. This is honestly the WORST dining experience my friends and I have ever had. I don’t usually write reviews but this is absolutely necessary. Firstly, I want to start by saying I live close to Taqueria and have ordered from them using Deliveroo regularly over the past couple of years and was a HUGE fan (it’s worth mentioning here the quality of the steak and birria tacos have always been hit and miss but I put this down to the travel time of the food). So when my friends and I were looking for somewhere to go for our annual Christmas meal, we decided to go to Taqueria as we thought if the food is good delivered, it’s going to be amazing if we eat in as the food will be fresh and sent straight to our table. How wrong we were. 🙃 Our waiter was OK, we were a party of 3 so we asked if we could get the tacos in portions of 3 as we wanted to try multiple different ones. He said we could not do this but ‘used to be able to do it’ - seemingly embarrassed and annoyed as he said he gets asked this question often. This was annoying as it meant we had to either massively over-order so we can all try the different tacos, or we order less variations. So we went with 2 portions of steak taco, and 2 portions of milanesa chicken taco along with Calamari and guacamole and dips for start. We had no problems with the starters, they were good and so were our cocktails. The tacos however, were horrendous. I don’t say this lightly. As someone that orders their food regularly, I know the quality it should be and what we were served was nothing like what I have previously experienced from them. The tacos looked like they had been sitting out for quite a while - the steak meat was grey and dry and extremely hard and chewy. The chicken was dry and cold and the grilled cheese on both tacos was burnt to a crisp - absolutely no cheese pull as it was pure crisp and cold. We all had one taco each (the actual tacos themselves were also falling apart) as we had a theatre show to catch but we asked our waiter to get the manager. The waiter told me the manager is not available but then walks away and appears with another man who he said was the manager. The ‘manager’ who told me him name was Juan, was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. When we brought our dissatisfaction to his attention (by letting him know we are a big fan of Taqueria and know the quality we should be receiving and have not had), rather than offering a solution or attempting to resolve the matter, we were met with aggression and a patronising attitude. The manager refused to accommodate our request to change the dish or even offer a reasonable alternative, showing a complete lack of willingness to provide customer satisfaction. Instead of addressing our concerns, Juan dismissed us in a condescending manner and made us feel that our feedback was irrelevant. He also pointed out to me that there is CCTV recording our conversation which made absolutely no sense to me as we were not being aggressive or rude, just trying to come to a fair solution. Despite the poor experience, we were still expected to pay the full bill, which we reluctantly did, as we had no other option. The only concession offered was the removal of the service charge, which, as you may be aware, is optional and should not have been treated as a gesture of goodwill. It was disappointing to leave feeling not only dissatisfied with the food and service but also disrespected by the way we were treated. I feel that Juan’s refusal to take any accountability for the poor service, coupled with their aggressive and patronising behavior, was completely unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as this experience has left a lasting negative impression on both myself and my friends.

As a huge lover of tacos I was overjoyed to see this place near my new office. I went for lunch to get a take away, the staff looked at me very strangely and were not friendly at all. I ordered Birria tacos which were quite pricey but I thought would be worth it- WRONG. The worst Birria tacos I’ve ever had. No crisp shell, no cheese, just heavy sweaty meat. Barely a meal- for £11.50 may I add for 2 tiny tacos, and a tiny dribble of consume which didn’t taste good. I would’ve come back and complained but my lunch break was over and I opened the box back at my office. I want compensation!

🧀 halloumi aubergine tacos 🍆 the halloumi was really nice (didnt have an overly oily mouth-feel) and the variety of textures provided by the refried beans, pomegranate seeds, halloumi, and eggplant added a lot of interest into the dish. although i wish the portions were larger, the quality of the tacos was great and i would probably come back to try the prawn tacos! 🦐

I went for dinner with friends to the taqueria. Unfortunately I did not find it that delicious. The beef taco was not tender and in general the tacos were lacking that “wow” flavour that I would look for in a 4-5 star location.

Found this gem while walking from & around King's Cross on the hunt for a good dinner place. Lucky me!!! Walked-in and found a table without any fuss despite of the place being packed ✅️ Ordered a cocktail which was served within 3 mins, literally! Food arrived within a reasonable time -- less than 15 mins...ahmazzzzing!!!!🙌 I highly recommend this place and the sour chile cocktail is a must try 👌 If you're ever on this side of London, try this place out! Rania haa been awesome & super friendly 😉

Great food and open until after most other restaurants in the area are closed. Rania was great and we had a fantastic experience.

The food was a bit disappointing, not terrible but each dish seemed to have a problem of some sort or another. The mayonnaise for the squid dish wasn't mixed properly so randomly spicy and then little flavour. The sugar/salt rim on a margarita wasn't particularly nice. The horchata was bad - I've had proper horchata in Mexico and elsewhere, and this version just tasted like watery icing sugar. For the price, the ceviche was really stingy, only a couple of tiny chunks of fish. They bulked it up with a frankly ridiculous amount of avocado which really unbalanced the dish. One set of tacos came out quickly but were lukewarm at best despite the restaurant being really quite quiet. All dishes, which are small to medium plates, are around the £10 mark so not exactly cheap. The staff kept dimming the lights and changing the music volume which was a bit jarring. Generally the service was bad. Staff were unfriendly and we had to constantly wave them down, even when it was less busy (midweek) and there were plenty of staff about. One of them even pretended not to see us. Several staff members had bad attitude - like it was hassle dealing with us and there was even an eye roll. We just wanted to order! No special requests, no questions, no changes to the meal etc. The main manager was full on grumpy when we tried to pay, no verbal acknowledgement when our payment went through, and we'd spent well over £100. We didn't realise there was 12% service charge until too late. Wouldn't come back.

This place used to be my favorite mexican restaurant in london. However, recently the food has gone very quickly down hill. The aguas frescas are remarkably watered down, food last night was served cold, melted cheese on my quesadilla and my steak taco was hard like plastic. Also the flavors have turned mildly sweet. It was gross. I’m so disappointed. It’s not cheap either.

I would highly recommend the prawn tacos and the special cod tacos Whilst I am a pescatarian, the guests that ate meat really loved their food too! Can't wait to come back again!

We had 6 dishes, prawn tacos, pork tacos beef birria, cod ceviche, steak quesadillas and chicken quesadillas. Personally I would only order the prawn, steak quesadillas and cod ceviche these 3 were really nice with prawn being the best! Others were a bit bland for me, cocktails were nice and a good price
