Booked for a table of 7.everthing was great couldn't fault the food we was all happy with what we ate.The staff was great (especially Conner)he made sure our table had everything we needed.Would definitely return

Love the servers behind the bar. The chef does however text his friend to tell us not to order food and honestly id sack someone who expects to be paid for loitering about smoking joints.

A lively family friendly pub that caters to all needs. The staff are friendly and responsive making sure your visit will be an enjoyable one. Brilliant food and brilliant service

I don't think that I will be going again. Edit,,,, Maybe I just picked the wrong day to visit, for people of my age?! I've added stars because of this. Obviously my review is just my Opinion, and it's just not the kind of place that I like, I think everyone deserves a chance, so we're going to go back for another afternoon sometime soon. "To Each his Own" is perhaps the best way to explain things.

Great atmosphere for a Saturday night. Food was great and not to mention good value since they have a deal for 2 mains at £12.95.

Came in for some dinner for my birthday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had the sirloin stake and it was soooooo tasty. Will definitely be coming back.

Good food and great service. The only thing was that we asked for no peas for my partner's steak pie slice and Mash but it came with peas. My all day breakfast was spot on

Tried Apple Tree for the first time. After shopping in town, popped in for a drink with my friend on Saturday afternoon. What a lovely pub. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff, Stephen and Chantelle looked after us well. Highly recommend the place!!!

I was in the Appletree a week or so ago and came in with my friend we ordered the food and it was really nice but while we was sat eating we could hear a young man behind the bar being called homophobic slurs like fa**ot and them bullying him for being gay safe to say me nor my friend will be coming back at all!!

Had a small wait 20 mins I had scampi and chips was Luke warm., friend had macaroni and chips Luke warm as well, the guy did offer to warm them up but we had not time to wait 😞 😕😔 the guy was serving by his self

Had the build you own burger, it was lovely and the service was excellent as per usual.

Popped in for what we hoped would be a quick lunch, we were informed before we ordered that the food would take a while as the kitchen was busy. That was absolutely fine as they were honest with us. We both had something different for the main course. It came piping hot and certainly was fresh and tasty. We shared the apple pie with custard, which was so delicious.

Came down to Carlisle from East Kilbride for the day and ended up in the Apple tree for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks .we were met by Connor who worked behind the bar who he was curtious polite and helpful. When we ordered food it arrived quickly was plentiful and very nice hope to return soon .keep up the good work Apple tree. Kate & Ian

Food is okay sometimes a little over cooked but prices are decent but often run out of milk so no hot drinks which has happened at least 3 times otherwise I wouldn't mention it

Learning all the time that most pubs don’t serve food after 3, and definitely not on the weekend, we were grateful to find this fast foodish place to serve us. Staff are obviously not used to foreigners visiting though.

Very busy pub with lots of television screens showing the Olympics. Food looked very good.

Big double cheese burgers don't get chips because the burgers bigger than me and the coke tasted like Pepsi

Usually don’t venture from City Centre when visiting Carlisle but spotted this wee gem when out for a walk on the Friday morning.. Glad we did as we both enjoyed our meal and we will certainly be back..

Came in with my wife and pooch just after food had stopped being served, on the back of a 6hr drive from the highlands of Scotland. Manager and assistant manager used amazing discretion and allowed us to order food. Food arrived quickly and was great quality. Dog got a good fuss and some treats, and the whole family left happy. Great visit, quality food and drinks, and highly recommend. We will be back for sure 😁

Went in tonight for the England game the atmosphere was great, we decided to have some food to soak up the drinks. I had the build your own burger, double size with bacon, cheese and chillies, heaven. My better half went for the chick and mix with jacket potato and salad. Due to extra time we had to have dessert which was strawberry and cream ice cream cake, delicious. Big shout out to the staff for their great service. Paigh, Steve and Connor. Thanks for a great experience, see you on Saturday for the next game.

Never been. My bus stop is outside and Google insists I visit it, I don't I just wait for a bus. Still a very long wait for a bus. Stagecoach utterly unreliable.

Visited the apple tree over the bank holiday weekend. Was very busy but the staff were working hard to make sure everyone got served. We were just in for drinks before we went to the bingo but the atmosphere was great and the drinks super cheap. We will be returning hopefully get some food next time

Had a good Sunday lunch. Value because you can get two meals at a discount. If you are on your own you might pick something else. No room for pudding, which was a pity.

Great town centre pub, nice food, really quick and well priced. We were sitting near the bar and 4 men entered the bar and had obviously been previously drinking and were quite rowdy. Using colourful language. The bar manager stepped in immediately and asked them to moderate their language which they did straight away. Great customer management!

Found this place by accident when everywhere else was closed for bank holiday. The food was re ally nice, the staff really friendly and helpful and there's was a great deal on on the food too so we got 2x meals with drinks for less than it would've cost to go to Subway. Couldn't fault it, will definitely go back.

Come here most weeks and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and the assistant manager Chantel especially went above and beyond when my daughter had a drink spilled over her at the table. Couldn't appreciate how much she did to make my daughter feel better, even replacing the drink despite the accident being our fault. Definitely a loyal customer after such lovely treatment even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon!

A Green King pub with no IPA, or altenative ales!

Dropped in to grab something to eat. Quick service. Served by Paige who was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely food cooked by Will. Couldn’t fault it and excellent value for money.

We met family who had a dog and wanted to have lunch,we were told that the Apple tree was the place to eat, It was the first time we had eaten in a dog friendly pub, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and they had a dog meal menu which was good 👍, overall it was a lovely time and I would highly recommend, thanks again to the staff

An amazing pub, really cozy atmosphere, the staff always look after us really well, nothing is too much to ask, whether it's extra sauce for my child, or some extra cheese on a burger. They provide colouring sheets and pencils for kids. The staff are always really cheerful and friendly, and the pub is always very clean and well looked after even during busy periods, you always see them popping out grabbing glasses and cleaning the empty tables so it's not empty but dirty when the next guest comes in. Very cosy pub, family friendly, dog friendly and great staff what more can you want.

Best breakfast in town, thank you to chefs Matt and Adam for always making it special. Bar staff also very friendly, Steven K. never let me down with an excellent service.

Popped in with some friends on payday weekend to have a good catch up and drink. What a great pub super friendly service for the 2 ladies behind the bar both smiling and having fun even though they never stopped. We later found out it was rhe assistant manager on duty with a girl named paigh unfortunately we didn't get the assistant managers name but these 2 are a credit to your team 👏

Came in after work for some food and a few drinks and the service was fantastic and such a warm welcome by Paige. The burger were amazing!! The size of the burger for only £6 was crazy and just perfect, so thank you Adam! We will 10000% be back…!

Went before a charity night for a drink and something to eat it was busy but was served at the bar by a friendly member off staff called Paige very friendly and great customer service even though the pub was busy only two members off staff working the bar and taking out meals they did a amazing job I ordered the gammon steak and partner had the lasagna. Both meals were well presented very tasty can’t complain at all the chef did amazing job getting the food out fast both staff on the bar and in the kitchen did a amazing job and we will be back again

5 Paigh and Luke Work very hard and nothing was a hustle to them and make every one welcome Always seem to smile and have a chat with every customer Paigh is always smiling and laughing. What more can you ask for from the barstaff I would recommend the Apple Tree if these staff are working, I think I’ll come back again. I will come back again thank you. I really enjoyed my evening.

Visited on a Friday night, served by Paige on the bar, had some lovely drinks and food cooked by chef Adam, both me and my mother when for the Chick n Mix meal, chicken was wonderfully fresh and really good quality, the food came quickly and was perfect all round!
