Nice family friendly pub close to the river. Particularly good if you have kids of 4-8 years of age as they have an arts and crafts table from 3pm on a Sunday to keep them occupied whilst you enjoy your lunch

This is a large Fullers pub with a big garden. I went there to watch a rugby international match which was being shown on a big screen in a marquee which was laid out with tables and chairs. Good venue, great beers and excellent service. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food but plenty of people eating and what was being served looked good.

We have come here for years, since back in the days in 2009 when this was a lovely little pub. Also in 2023 we've been here multiple times for food and drinks. But I have to say: today's experience was absolutely shocking. Whilst the service was friendly and the atmosphere was great, the food is so far off the standards. It's getting worse and worse unfortunately whereas pricing keep going up! A pint of beer for £9? Okay, it's London... but still. Much worse was actually the food. Look at the photo attached: the price for this "burger" was £18.95. Can you believe this? And much worse than that: it consists only out of 3 ingredients: a cheap white roll, a patty, some penny-worth iceberg lettuce. That's it. Apparently there was cheese on it, but we couldn't find it. No tomato, no sauce, just simply NOTHING. At McDonalds you pay £1 for it and at least get some gherkins, onions, proper cheese. This wasn't even the worst thing: The kids burger cost £8.95, which is probably half-way reasonable. But it was EXACTLY (like literally EXACTLY) the same burger with EXACTLY the same fries. Only difference: the fries where not placed in a copper cup for the kids, but placed on the plate directly. Same amount, same fries, same burger - but £10 cheaper. We asked the waitress and she kindly explained that there was no error, she went through the order again and admitted that she was also struggling to find any difference other than the fries not being put in a copper cup. We were 8 persons and noone of us won't come back. No way. I always loved The Anglers and have spend probably hundreds if not thousand Pounds here every year... It's a shame. If I was Fullers I would try to intervene here, as one of their best horses in the stall is going south and losing customers. Again, look at the photo! Additionally, this burger was so incredibly small. Everyone was left hungry, but with that disappointment we decided not to have pudding and to leave the restaurant. I have NEVER, NOWHERE paid £18.95 for a burger. Maybe I did once, but got like Wagyu beef, molten blue cheese, crispy onions, halloumi and whatnot on my patty.... at The Anglers? ==> Iceberg lettuce. PS: In all fairness: Atmosphere is great, service is great, drinks are great, location is great. But holy crap, what has happened to your food standards?!

The service here was atrocious. The waiting staff were friendly but horrendously unorganised, half our food was missing and we had to keep going to the bar to chase up. By the time the sides arrived for our roast dinner, the roast dinner was cold. Some of the food never arrived, but we gave up asking. None of the staff apologised or took responsibility. A huge thank you to the kind ladies on the kids table though, they were fabulous with my 3 year old daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed herself!

I booked an outdoor table for myself and family. We were there to celebrate a milestone birthday. The service was beyond terrible. We had to order inside and two meals came twenty minutes before the others. We were missing multiple sides, we were neglected outside with no one to check how it was going. Even after requesting the missing items that came with the meal, the manager made a comment about usually charging extra (even though it was listed as part of the meal) They held no accountability for their lack of attention.

We were running quite late for our lunch booking, ahead of the party we were throwing in the orchard area outside, and so they very kindly set us up a beautiful new table in the orchard for us and our family with no hassle. Jade was so welcoming, even getting us a wedding present to congratulate us, and her team were amazing throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this space and Jade’s team ☺️

I recently attended the Opera in the Garden evening and it was very well planned and attended. Everyone had a clear view and the setting was perfect. The beer garden at The Anglers is well suited for performance. We were given a warm welcome, the service was smooth, and staff were very discreet whilst serving during the show. We both enjoyed our meals. Once the temperature cooled, staff brought around hot water bottles for those who wanted. A great experience of live entertainment in a pub setting. Huge garden and very paddle friendly - we moored our kayaks on the pontoon, brought our paddles up with us, and had a lovely lunch. Definitely recommend a reservation if you want to sit outside on a nice day. I appreciate the effort they made to accommodate coeliac / celiac disease and provide gluten free options. In addition to the gluten free things listed in the online allergen menu, they were able to make the burger gluten free with a gluten free bun. If you let them know you have an allergy they take extra care - they grilled my burger and corn on a separate allergen grill to prevent cross contamination.

Disappointing having brought family back after a nice experience last year. Most food was generally good but one dish came with stone cold mash, and it wasn't a great deal better on a second effort but as everyone else was finished it did. Our daughter's peas also arrived after a chase, just as she finished her meal. Very a little remorse or apology from the team and the server attempted to clear all plates while the delayed diner was still finished which is a no no.

I have been coming to the Anglers for many years.....last week I ordered a burger & chips with my friend. I asked for vegan cheese. It came and had some weird lumpy stuff in it so I asked what it was. They said they would get the manager, about 15 mins later he came (once food was cold) snd said don't eat as has dairy. He ordered another burger which eventually came after my friend had finished eating & had to leave so I ended up sitting eating my dinner alone. The portion was small for the massive price. I used to rave about their burgers and chips gf buns and vegan cheese. (As I'm dairy intolerant) This was a weird experience and the staff were very slow. No one even apologised for anything, not very professional. I never complain but I do think it's a shame that the prices are so high and the portions so small. I would rather pay to eat in a restaurant for a better service and more value for money. Other than that I love the Anglers for its location and friendly vibe. They welcome dogs and always have bowls and water available for your furry friends. I will not be rushing to dine out there now sadly as I just can't justify the prices. The drinks are expensive too. Will always love the place though....I hope they improve the menu, portions, prices and service.

We went into the garden to find signs indicating 2 booths were indeed booked in our name. The problem was they were filthy and being used by a group of 10 unsupervised children as a play zone. Staff walked by repeatedly as they trashed the booths, collected about 60 plastic beer glasses and 10 dog water dishes, and had great fun chucking the lot everywhere. We fought to reclaim one booth from them, and I sat down to enjoy my first ever £8 pint. In a plastic glass that was not clean. The manager may want to take the odd walk outside!

Food is on the good side of average, but a little overpriced for the quality and size of portions. I had the vegetarian wellington - lovely crisp pastry around a flavourful filling with interesting textures from the nuts, but slightly marred by the undercooked wedges of butternut squash on the side, and a rather parsimonious quarter of a carrot given as a portion. The vegetarian gravy is good. Had a mini sticky toffee pudding after, the pudding was light and not too sweet but the accompanying squirty cream from a can was a mistake. Some things should stay in the 1980s. They have a good range of ales on tap.

Nice pub, nice atmosphere, London prices plus some and the whiskey measure was very much on the conservative side, so much so that I though one small sip and next thing I know the glass collector is asking me if she can take the glass . No my list of pubs to visit again.

Large, long established and well laid out riverside pub with decent covered outside areas (fortunately no smoking too). Great beer and drink choices. Parking can be limited.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in London. I really enjoyed their lunch box. It has got everything you want. The quality was excellent. It was super fresh and I could tell they really care. Pleasant atmosphere with professional service makes me want to go back. I will definitely be back soon! Thank you!

Rick Stein is an admirable man and when he started this was a great restaurant (he took it over from the Depot all those years ago). But it's gone downhill at quite a speed now that his sons run it - and today the Barnes outlet has all the rip off quality you expect from so many London restaurants these days. The seafood curry used to be one of the stars of this place and there also used to be a wonderful Asian crab dish that was a mess to eat but absolutely delicious. But no more. We had the curry recently and it was utterly average. And my wife still can't get over one occasion when she asked the waiter for a glass of white wine and it came in at £17.50. Service is always stretched here in my experience. Better experiences locally at Sam's Riverside and the Ivy Chelsea.

The staff has changed again, however the food is okay. Prices are not cheap, but the food is of reasonable quality. 👍

Ate at So bar Richmond Not really authentic Spanish paella or white bait. The food had too much salt. And the rice was mushy.
