Fantastic as usual. The Anchor never lets me down. Piping hot, great quality.

The chips were cold and hard, not cooked through at all. The chicken was cooked well but the children’s meal was completely cold, with hard chips and thick, stodgy batter on the fish. It was inedible.

I ordered a Donner burger with chips and cheese, it arrived with no cheese or Donner meat

Bread that kebab comes in very hard and dry Chicken kebab burn and very dry

Lovely food. Food arrived hot. Children's meals were just the right size. Small fish and chips were perfect size for adults too. All in all, good food and service. Thank you

27/12/2024 Tryed to order says open but they are closed still carnt keep updated, this place is becoming hopeless, there food is going down hill anyway, had orded a few week back and its just sloppy, they just dont care anymore just like most takeaways now days. Expencive but cheap quailty food and services. I wont order no more and will pray on your closer everyday. I ordered food came to £12:30 and the delivery guy was arguing with me it was £13:30. For the cheek enjoy your pound and I'll never be back.

this is a great chippy but I think the price of peas and gravy is excessive. you only get tiny pots. the gravy is delicious though.

Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, and I am compelled to bring several concerning issues to your attention. Firstly, the food was delivered to me in an unacceptably cold state. As a customer, I expect to receive hot and freshly prepared food, especially when ordering from a reputable restaurant like yours. Cold food not only diminishes the dining experience but also raises concerns about food safety and hygiene. Moreover, the quality of the food was significantly below the standard I have come to expect from your restaurant. The ingredients seemed stale and poorly prepared, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and presentation. Most alarmingly, shortly after consuming the meal, I began to feel ill. My body temperature has risen, and I am experiencing symptoms that strongly suggest food poisoning. I am very concerned that the food I received was not handled or cooked properly, leading to this unfortunate situation. I have always enjoyed dining at your restaurant and have had positive experiences in the past. However, this recent incident has left me extremely disappointed and concerned for my health. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I am requesting a full refund for my order, as well as an assurance that steps will be taken to address these serious issues. never really have a problem when I order from here but the potatoe fritters was brown rotten inside had to go in the bin but the rest of the food was nice and fresh

Miserable and surly delivery driver. Food cold and inedible. The fish which supposed to be cod but was haddock, was definitely going off. Even the cat made a hasty retreat when offered some. Chips hard and bitty. Batter was like soggy cardboard soaked in grease. The lemon wedge had been microwaved to pulp and had soaked into the chips. The curry sauce was like brown water. The mushy peas might have been the saving grace but along with the rest of the meals they were cold. It all ended up in the bin and we had to settle for cheese sandwiches and cake. A complete waste of almost £30 and a spoilt birthday treat. Definitely the last we'll be ordering from Anchor Fish Bar.

Great food. I mean really really great food. Couldn't fault them. Food came early (NO PROBLEM). They put an hour + delivery time I suppose to cover themselves (NO PROBLEM).Ordering again tonight. Can't wait. 😁

Over priced for what you receive! Chips were cold brown and dry like they been cooked days ago! Sausage was tiny! Battered snickers was tiny too and taste like cheap ones not snickers

Yes I would recommend most things except their kebabs, I ordered one tonight and there was hardly any Salad in it and it didn’t taste right so I had to bin it.

Always fresh and hot. Never had a bad experience when ordering and the meals are great.

Food was lovely and portions were good, the wrong sauce was put on my kebab but it was still tasty so I can’t complain!

Gorgeous, beans a bit dry but chips & kebab meat were 10/10, never go anywhere else & never had a bad meal here……only ordered for me but more than enough for 2 people.

It’s the first time I’ve had food from you, and it was absolutely delicious , the chips were very nice and the fish was massive and the chocolate fudge cake was absolutely beautiful 10 out of 10 🙂

I’ve ordered from The Anchor on many occasions and always have no problem with any of the food, as it always comes hot and delicious, but the order tonight wasn’t correct as ordered Doner Kebab and they sent Doner Meat and chips. They need to check the orders are correct before they send them out for delivery

driver banged on my window because I didn't answer quick enough and when I told him not to do it. he gets cheeky and aggressive.

Had to put the food in the bin. The food was so oily that it had leaked through the containers, wrappers and through the carry bag. Chips were wet and tasted as if re-heated- kebabs had obviously not been cut from an upright heated stick- had been scooped along with loads of oil from some other container.

Iv been a customer of the anchor for a long time normally the food is very good and always hot however tonight’s meals where cold and tasted like it had been warmed up
