My goodness , I was overwhelmed cannot praise this hotel High enough top standard I'd give it more stars if I could from the minute I arrived until minute I was left aura from my room, the food and especially ALL the staff. 🙋😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The food was excellent and the wait staff were very responsive to our needs.

Food and service in the bar and restaurant are excellent, but room 8 needs some TLC. Too many issues to list in full here, although the draughty windows and the thermostatic valve on the radiator are probably the most important as we couldn't regulate the room temperature. It was cold when the curtains were open and too hot at night.

One of our favourite hotels. We always go for a suit as they are nice and large. Plenty of parking, nice bar and pleasant breakfast. The staff are very nice and helpful. Great location just out of Truro but only a 10 min walk in to the pubs, restaurants etc. Also easy access to this beautiful part of Cornwall. Always our first choice for a long weekend. They remember if you come with a cheeky free drink at the bar!

We were passing through Truro and it got to lunch time. We decided to eat in the restaurant before setting home. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The set menu was very reasonably priced considering the location. I thought it would have cost more. The food was freshly preprared, and they were prompt with serving. I would definitely recommend their restaurant.

Had a great christmas party here, the food was good and staff where very on it and organised, we didn't stay the night so can't rate the rooms the only thing that let the evening down was the music was quite right for the average age of the room that evening however there was plenty of alchol free beverages to choose from including mocktails.

Conference for was amazing. Loved it!

I have loved staying here. Had a family event here. There was 20 of us in total... fantastic staff, fantastic rooms. Would whole heartedly come back again.

Despite the claims of being a luxury structure, this hotel seems modest in the services offered, the room, although comfortable, has dark colors that make it dark, the real flaw of the structure is the breakfast. The breakfast has no buffet limiting the choice, poor drinks and commercial food! Likewise, dinner has little choice! The location is good but the rest needs to be reviewed!

The Alverton hotel is a special experience. This 18th-century building provides the charm of urban chic. Manicured gardens meet historical architecture. The room with a garden view is very spacious and clean. The a la carte breakfast makes the start of the day a great one. The staff is very courteous, attentive and friendly. The high-quality food is particularly noteworthy; it is excellently prepared and a delight for the palate. I can recommend the Hotel Alverton without hesitation.

Didn't stay for the night, just came for afternoon tea. The service was very fast, staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Only issue I have is that the portions were extremely small, and the jam wasn't the nicest I've tasted. Other than that, the food was delicious and we had a lovely time.

Lovely hotel, sorrounded by gardens and vegetation makes you feel like you are not even in the town centre. Very relaxing and lovely food and staff

I covered a wedding there recently, what a beautiful hotel and what lovely friendly staff, I didn't stay there overnight so can't comment on that side of things but the rooms I saw are truly lovely.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here a few times and every time we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay 🩷 The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. We will be heading back in May with no doubt!

It was fine but I'll try other options when I'm next in the area. The bed was very comfortable and that was where I spent most of my time at the hotel so that is positive. A thing to note is that the curtain rails sit away from the walls so aren't particularly good at keeping light out. Not a problem on a grey day the week after clocks have gone forward but summer visitors may want to consider a sleep mask. I was arriving at 20:30 and hoped I'd manage to get food at the hotel since their website said food until 9pm daily but sadly the website is wrong. As my first impression, it certainly didn't endear me to the place. It's not far too walk back into town to find somewhere else to eat as the room service offer of soup and a sandwich was underwhelming. The food at breakfast was fine. Another diner had juice or milk spilled on them and their order was wrong. These things happen but it was what convinced me that surely there are better options around. Since it was a corporate booking I may end up booked here again which wouldn't be the end of the world but I will temper my expectations with experience.

Lovely relaxing hotel of great character. All the staff were friendly, helpful and happy. The food was delicious. Only half an hours drive away from The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Short walk to Truro centre and Cathedral. I definitely recommend The Alverton Hotel 💯 %

Beware. Although they offer gluten free meals there is a possibility of cross contamination in the kitchen. We were Not told before we booked so could not have meals. We were upgraded but not offered a refund for the lack of breakfast.

Beautiful and well appointed hotel a stones throw from Truro city centre yet in a very quiet location. Excellent food and comfortable, clean and spacious bedroom. The highlight surely has to be the friendly, polite and attentive staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Wow. Stayed here for 2nights on a work trip. Everything was exceptional from start to finish. Attention to detail and service was incredible. The staff are an absolute credit to this place, they were all so attentive and polite. Absolutely loved it.

This was my first time at The Alverton Hotel, I normally stay at Mannings Hotel as its closer to my office, I will say the staff, location, rooms and food were excellent I will happily use this hotel again.
